Life Update: Moving to Grandma's and 600 watchers!
General | Posted a year agoWell it's time for another update!
First and foremost, thank you for 600 watchers, it's been amazing seeing all the support for my art and writing! Thank you so much for your continued amazing support!
Secondly, I'm going to be moving into my grandmother's house with her this coming Tuesday to help her around the house and make sure the doesn't fall and/or hurt herself. She lives alone in the countryside farmlands of Eastern North Carolina. It's very mundane and lonely out there, and my biggest concern and worry for myself is that.
The town she lives nearby is also pretty run down and has a forlorn, desolate feeling, which is also another concern for my mental well-being, as my mind is the type that wants almost constant stimulation (yay ADHD! /s). The house my parents own is around a 2 and-a-half hour drive from my grandmother's house, so I'm gonna be visiting every now and then
Thirdly, I have gotten a new therapist, as the one I had wasn't clicking with me. My first appointment with her is next Monday, and I hope I click with her.
Lastly, I'm counting down the days to my visit with my best friend
ConsciousAfterDark and his partner 
EvergreenDreams in Maine! I'm so ready to get up there and hang out with them, along with seeing the New England fall colors, it's gonna be absolutely amazing!

One Year of Drawing
General | Posted a year agoAs of the 8th of this month (I know, a bit late, but I just realized LMFAO) I drew my first ever drawing of Ren 1 year ago!
I'm amazed at how far I've come in just one year of practice, from starting out with traditional sketches with pencil and paper, and moving into the realm of digital about 5-6 months ago now! I cannot thank my friends ConsciousAfterDark and 
Kalidragon for helping me along the journey (especially you Conscious for showing me how exactly to use firealpaca!)
I can't believe how much I've improved from my first sketch of Ren to this entire colored sketch sheet of Ren I did last month!
Thank you all for supporting me in my journey so far in art, and I look forward to improving more and more!

Two Years in the Fandom

Whew... It's been two years to this day that I adopted Ren, and it has gone by fast. I remember getting my first ever commission of him from ConsciousAfterDark (who I am still grateful to for inspiring me to start writing, I wouldn't have met any of my best friends if he hadn't pushed me to start!)
Ren has gone through many changes and iterations, but I've made him my own!

Life Update!
General | Posted a year agoHeya all! I figured I'd give you guys an update on my situation currently, along with some news!
So regarding my living situation in Iowa, I'm heading back to North Carolina on the first or second week of September! I'm gonna be chilling at home for a bit before heading to my grandma's house to help her out and keep her from getting hurt, as she's getting up there in age and is pretty overweight, so I'll be there to help her!
The next thing I want to announce is that I'm going to visit my one of best friends in this entire community and his amazing partner, ConsciousAfterDark in Maine! My father is paying for the round-trip flight tickets to visit! Me and Conscious are currently planning out what are going to be the best dates in October to visit him, and I'm so excited to finally meet him!!!!
I'm so excited to visit him, and I know we're gonna have an absolute blast! So looking forward to this!!!

Life Update
General | Posted a year agoWell, I guess it's time for another update!
So the move to Iowa went well, but it's very boring here if imma be honest. I am feeling very cooped up in my dad's house due to not being able to not having permission to drive his car, and the boredom and demotivation is really getting to me.
Another thing is that my therapist can't do any appointments with me due to what I believe is related to her medical/practice license not being able to practice out of North Carolina, so that's great.
Also found out my dad is transphobic, which honestly shocked me when he said some transphobic remark in the car casually... It honestly shocked me and I was in disbelief, but it's honestly expected from a hardcore trumper who believes in many conspiracy theories and doesn't think climate changes a thing...
On some lighter notes, one of my favorite bands, Glass Animals released a new album that I absolutely LOVE, ILYSFM. I honestly love each and every one of their songs, and I'll drop a list of some of my favorite albums form my favorite bands below (my music taste is all over the place, but I particularly love me some indie bands)!

Life Update: Moving to Iowa!
General | Posted a year agoThe title says the main thing I wanna talk about today! I'm making the move (for a unknown temporary amount of time) to Iowa in a day and a half as of this journal's posting! It's exciting, yet I'm gonna miss the familiarity of North Carolina, along with it's diverse natural beauty. Iowa is very flat... corn here, soybeans there, crops and farmland EVERYWHERE (and the occasional town/city).
The second thing I wanna talk about is me really starting to delve into the world of digital art! I wanna give some BIG shout-outs to my amazing friends ConsciousAfterDark for showing me the ropes of the art program he uses, Firealpaca! And Kalidragon for giving me tips and tricks (along with stuff to practice coloring LMFAO). It's been absolutely amazing delving into digital art, and I look forward to improving more and more!
Last but not least, I wanna thank my amazing friends for all their INCREDIBLE support, whether you know it or not, you have all been lights in my life!!!

Life Update

So I've been going through a really dark time in my life, and I'm realizing how cruddy of human beings my mom and stepdad (who I currently live with) are... It turns out my mom cheated on my dad with my stepfather, and my stepfather cheated on his ex-wife with my mom... I had a mental breakdown the other day when I realized all that they had done to me and my siblings, but some of those things are:
I spent my 21st birthday this year all alone while they were in NYC for a New Year's vacation... It honestly turned me off from celebrating my birthday to be honest. And when they got back from NYC, my mom told me she got me a gift, and not to sound ungrateful, but all she brought back was a map... a map of New York City... literally all they brought home for me. Meanwhile my sisters got some decent gifts, but that's it.
The cheating situation described above was what finally sent me into a mental breakdown, and I honestly cried my eyes out realizing all this shit they had done to me and my siblings.
They're quite neglectful behind closed doors, but I'm just trying to bear through it... So to all my commissioners, I genuinely appreciate your patience with me as I navigate through this extremely rough time in my life.
And a giant thank you to all my friends who are supporting me in this period of my life, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

The situation has improved with me starting therapy about three weeks ago now, I have weekly sessions with my therapist, and it gives me relief knowing I'm working on improving myself, and I cannot thank my friends enough for their amazing, continued support for me, anf I couldn't ask for more incredible friends!

It will definitely help my mental health I think too, but I will definitely miss the diverse natural beauty of my home state, especially the mountains and ocean at either end... You led me down a hidden path to a hidden kingdom I genuinely treasure, and if it wasn't for you, I don't know what I'd be doing or where I would be in this crazy world we live in.

Life Update: 21st Birthday and Personal Vacation

I'm gonna be celebrating my 21st birthday on January 13th, and will likely be going on a small trip to the beach with a very close friend, and I'm gonna be going from January 13th-14th most likely, and will be taking a small break to relax and get away. I've been debating on what I want to do for my birthday for a little while, and finally landed on something I want to do.
For my close friends on discord, these days I'm gonna be a bit scarce from discord, as I will likely be shutting off notifications for discord during this time to focus on myself. I will look sometimes at discord and reply to messages and stuff, but even these will be spaced most likely

Ren's Year in Review

Life update: Hospitals, Friends, and Holidays
General | Posted 2 years agoHeya all! It's been a bit since I posted a life update on myself! I figured now would be a good time to do so!
To start off, my job at the hospital is going quite well! I truly enjoy being on my feet and chatting with patients as I take them to and from their destinations in the hospital!
Secondly, I am truly grateful to all my friends in the community, some special shout outs go to:
ConsciousAfterDark who has been making amazing art for me and so many others!
CorruptedChampionStories who has been helping me quite a bit with my storywriting, and even featured me in their INCREDIBLE Journal of a Captured Hero story that I know is going to do AMAZINGLY!!! Please go check it out if you haven't, you'll particularly love it if you love transformation!
KaliDragon who has just been such a supportive friend and an amazing artist!

Third, I'm turning 21 in a few weeks, and am unsure of what I'm gonna do on my birthday when it comes on the 13th, hopefully I'll figure something out soon
Last but not least, I am wanting to share a big personal project I'm doing!
I'm gonna start a continuous series of stories called "Band of Dragons" that will feature 5-6 of my friends and their dragons!
It'll be a party of draconic adventurers on a journey around the world, and possibly saving it! There are the five dergs in the party currently, but I'll introduce them all in standalone stories before we get into the real plot of the story!
I'm really excited to do this, and of course I'll be working on my queue as I go! I'm really excited to see how much more my writing skills improve, as I have noticed a significant improvement in my skills recently!

Update on Life

So as some of you may know, I started working at a hospital as a patient transporter (called "porters" in some countries) and I have really been enjoying it. I'm getting paid $17/hr for pushing patients around the hospital in wheelchairs, beds, and stretchers! The only thing I dislike really is coming home tired, but it's helping me fix my sleep schedule LOL.
I'm doing my best to work on the commissions, but with this new job and coming home tired I can only work on them in small bits and pieces, and I am truly grateful for your patience
I want to thank some of my closest friends for being pillars of support in my daily life in no particular order!

Going on hiatus (CW: Suicidal ideations)

This morning on my drive to work, I honestly considered driving into one of the trees on the side of the road... I have so fucking much going on in life, and I just can't handle comissions right now.
I know I'm a light in so many people's lives, and I don't want that light to go out. Especially if I am the only light in their lives. I'd hate to be the one that put them in darkness...
I'm gonna be seeking out a therapist.
I asked my manager at the hospital I started working at about my benefits, and if they include therapy. They gave me a packet with all the info about it, and I'm going to look into it later today
For now, I'm going to be taking a break from writing commissions and focusing on my mental health. Maybe writing some personal stories while I'm on break...

General | Posted 2 years agoHey all, I'm going to be starting a new job at Duke hospital tomorrow morning as of posting this, and I'm so excited for it! It's gonna be paying 17/hr with amazing benefits included.
I'll be a patient transporter pushing patients in the hospital from point A to point B in the hospital! I also got some comfortable shoes for walking, as I'm gonna be walking... alot.
This also means story commissions will be slowing down, but I'll be working on them in my free time as much as I can. Thank you so much for your continued patience... I cannot thank you enough for being so patient with me.

General | Posted 2 years agoHey all! I got a interesting job, and my first day was today! I'm gonna be making automatic transmissions for $17/hr, and it's gonna be honestly grueling work, but hopefully worth the... 10-12 hour shifts 4-5 days per week... commissions will be slowing down significantly due to this I'm afraid...
I feel like shit for making people wait, but I'm gonna be exhausted after every day...

CorruptedChampionStories came up with the awesome idea of a story Roulette, where my watchers get to decide what happens to Ren by setting a vote for kinks to be used on my dragon, and sometimes even the chance of your sona being featured in a story! I'll start one soon, but I need kink ideas for my dragon to start with! please feel free to comment ideas below!
As for Ask Ren Anything, my friend ConsciousAfterDark suggested this idea to me, and will be starting it in the near future! My watchers can ask questions to me about Ren, and it could even help me build up lore for him too!!!
