I finally watched The Super Mario Bros. Movie yesterday.
I can’t remember when I’ve enjoyed a movie so much. I had a smile on my face the whole time. I’m playing the Mario and DK games my whole life and watching the movie brought back many memories.

But I have one big problem with the movie. They made Donkey Kong look too weak! Not powerful enough.

I want to talk about 3 scenes.

1) The fight against Mario in the Kong Arena.
Yeah, it’s a Mario movie and he is supposed to be the hero, and it was no surprise who will win the fight, but why they made it for Cat Mario so easy to defeat DK?
DK had no chance at all after Mario became Cat Mario.

2) When they fall into water from the rainbow road.
Why again Mario has to be the hero who save DK’s life? One hit from the stone and DK was already unconscious and he needed to be saved again by the hero. Why not vice versa?
Yeah, I know, it’s a Mario movie….

3) DKs fight against Bowser - (and that was too much)
I love Bowser, he made the movie terrific, but in my opinion he has beaten up DK far too easy.
Ok, we don’t see the whole fight and with his fight he helped Mario to recover.
But come on, the fight lasted not longer than 30 seconds and DK was badly beaten up by the king of Koopa, barely conscious, only to get again saved by Mario.
Yeah, Mario just appear again for the final showdown and Bowser stopped to finish DK off. Bowser was not even exhausted; in a video game I would say he still had 100 % health after the fight with DK.

I wonder why they made DK so weak compared to Peach, Mario and Bowser.
This guy was able to punch his opponents into space in some games.

Of course DK had some cool moments, and without him Luigi would be Lava now.
But hey,
is it just me? DK should be more than Mario's sidekick.

What do you think?

PS now I want a Donkey Kong movie badly. ^_^

Is it just me or are forums dying?
I’m talking about the decision forums, where you can create topics to talk about a subject
with one or two admins who watch the forum and decisions.

I remember several years ago, there have been many more forums.
I think the social networks like facebook or twitter are one reason why the forums are dying.

I wonder about it, because I think it’s not possible to have a serious decision about a movie or something else on facebook or twitter.

For example. I saw Zootopia and The Jungle Book and I was looking for a forum to talk about the movies.
I have lots of experiences at finding things in the web, but I can’t find any forum.

Yes, I can post a journal here on FA to talk about a movie, but it’s not same as using a decission forum, where you can create so many subtopics as for all characters.

Today morning I noticed that I got 1000 watchers.

Have a great start in the week!

My business trip is finally over. Six weeks of hard work is over. I returned home yesterday. I’m still a bit tired, but very happy to be back.

The last weeks weren’t easy for me. Anong others, a hard work, barely no time to get online and the loss of my friend.

Thank you very much for your warm words. I haven’t replied, but be sure I read all of them and it helped me to feel a bit better.

Thanks also for the many new faves and watches. As I said I was barely online, so now I will have a good time to check the thousands of new pics which I missed in the last weeks.
You guys are incredible. I was only 6 weeks away, but it feels like being over one year away XD

I haven't told you, but on last Monday I went on a 6-week-business trip.
My first week was stressfully, but that is not the reason why I'm sad...yesterday I evening I got a sad call from my family.

They told me that my friend died in a car accident. The horrible accident happened on the day when I left. The roads were full of snow and ice and his car slipped into the pathway of a truck.

I feel so incredible sorry for his wife and two little children...

I feel empty, I don't know what I feel...I knew him since over 20 years. I still don't believe it… it must be a nightmare but I don't wake up.

His funeral is next week, I'll fly home to go on his funeral, and stay with my family over Easter.

Tomorrow I'll go on a vacation for 9 days. I'll be back next weekend.
I won't have the possibility to go online in this time, so pls don't wonder if I won't reply.

Does the end of the year get you down?

Normally I don’t have problems with that end-of the year depressions, but yesterday somehow I feel a bit down. I think I ruminated too much about this year. Not much change happened in my life, maybe that’s the problem. One year is over and I haven’t hit my goals of my last New Year's resolutions. That’s why I’m not pleased with myself.

It’s stupid to ruminate too much, so I stopped it and I feel better today.

I figured out that many good things happened. As I made many new friends here on FA. I want to thank everybody for a great year. Thanks for all the new watches and faves

I know it’s too early for New Year’s greetings, but I don’t know if I’ll be online the next days. I'll leave already on the first day of the new year to a short business trip for three weeks. I don’t know if I’ll have the possibility to get online or if I have the time for it, so pls don’t wonder if I don’t reply.

Is there anybody else who thinks that new series is just awesome? ^^

I know I'm probably the latest here who saw the new series. I think I haven't watched the show earlier, because I wasn't a big fan of the old series in the 80's. I saw only a few episodes. I remember that I didn't like the look and the style so much. (Now I think I was wrong)

Last week I saw a short clip of the new show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emW_fkyLUy8 and I was fascinated. I knew I will love it and watched all 13 episodes in two days.
The show is incredible. I love the storyline and the characters, every character has an own personality.

I like the new Tygra very much, I always thought Tygra in the old show was too bland. The relationship between Lion-O and Tygra is very interesting. They have a strong bond and love each other, but they often show sibling rivalries.

Can't wait for the next episodes.

I returned yesterday from my vacation, one week earlier than I planned.

The vacation wasn't very good. I made a lot of experiences about conversation work, problems between villagers and tigers, etc, but I felt bored and lonely most of the time. The volunteer program wasn't organized at all and I had to work for myself and alone, what is really hard when you are the first time in India and you don't speed Hindi.

But now I'm back and I feel happy again, next time I will be much more carefully when I plan to do something like that again.

I'm happy to be back, I've missed you a lot.

Next week I will fulfil one of my dreams and fly to india for three weeks. I will work as a volunteer in bandhavgarh national park. I hope I will see tigers, leopards and other wild animals. My flight starts on wednesday. I will fly overnight to Delhi and try to catch the overnight train to bandhavgarh national park in Madya Pradesh a few hours later.

I'm already very excited, but also a bit nervous. I hope I will have a great time. I will stay in a camp and I probably won't have any possibility to get internet access, so pls don't wonder if I won't reply any notes, mails, etc.

I wanna apologize to everybody who was waiting for me on AIM or MSN. It's not that I don't like to roleplay, but I was so busy with family stuff and with my job that really didn't have time. I hate it to be busy all the time.

Now I have finally vacation. I still can't believe that I finally fly to India.
