Upcoming eye and dental stuff
Posted 8 years agoSo I've got more upcoming things, an eye exam on Saturday which will likelyresult in new glasses because I haven't had one in years and then I've already had talks with my dentist about my next visit. Going to be getting a tooth filled this time I think instead of an extraction of a wisdom tooth, which is still likely going to be anywhere from the realm of sixty to a hundred. I'm not in any sort of immediate trouble, still have funds for food and the like but if you want to support you're free too.

Posted 8 years agoAnyone know any artists that would be good for comic work long term? I've got quite a few things that need doing... From series normal content to more fetish works.
On the subject of being blocked
Posted 8 years agoSo over the course of my active time on FA (which would be since I think... 2013, around when I began uploading?) I've come into contact with a number of people. Artists, Writers, Musicians, some just roleplayers, some commissioners and others a mix of things. A big variety of people.
As far as I am aware, at least to my own knowledge I have only been blocked a handful of times. Of course I may have been blocked by many others for a variety of reasons, perhaps as part of a larger group as people who are friends or otherwise tend to view a person one has problems with the same.
Or maybe there are people out there I have angered who I am not aware of? Like a great many in the community I expect this happens although it doesn't bother me, if I have angered someone and they've blocked me it's in their right to do so.
However three major incidents standout, I will not link names and do my best as to not hint who they are. Attempts to name them in comments will result in my hiding said comment, if anything I'd rather not have people go after a person because they blocked me of all things.

One, the first major incident was a few years back. I was attempting to run a roleplaying forum that had minimal activity and invited someone I met on FA onto the site. Now I've met a variety of people as I said and even if I didn't agree with everything the person said in conversation I had no problem with their presence.
And then a fight broke out of a series of posts made on the forum. Something that would have been easily resolvable, and I wasn't even directly involved, but when I attempted to step in it immediately broke into conspiracy and name calling. I was called an asshole and immediately blocked. So you know... Okay, just move on.
And so I did. The site eventually died in the following months.

The second is a rather odd case. This person and me didn't talk too often but occasionally we did, it was usually small talk. I would bring up what was going on in my life and of course 2013 - 2016 was a twisted financial period and balancing act for me. I will not deny this, and despite the constant stream of artwork that goes into my gallery I am not stupid with money. If I get money for food, it goes to food. If someone gives me money for an image I will not immediately take it and use it for the house because I'm desperate. I will use it as I am told or given.
Those who know me are aware that my financial situation has come up in conversation several times in the past, but that was apparently not the tipping point, the issue was when I presented a... Viewpoint on the topic?
They said that they were going to do something for a project, it would cost them a lot of money most likely and such. I made a query into why they didn't try to get it for cheaper and suggested it was possible but I made no attempt to force them to do so nor did I give them any recommendations for future course of actions.
I suggested simply that it was possible they could take said action for much cheaper, they said no and eventually I left it at that. At somepoint in all that I had apparently been blocked and it had been done so simply because I was terrible with money?
I'm not dying, I'm not homeless and despite what may suggest otherwise I actually do have some idea of what I'm doing and have managed to reach a road that is leading to me to stability. So I mean, in the end, people who are struggling are going to, like me, come off as needy, money abusing people. Kind of what happens.

I called someone out on what I thought was shitty behavior because I felt as if I was being used, and in response no effort was made to clarify the situation, it was just sort of... Hard to explain? I'm not terribly angry, I've calmed down. Instead I was un-added from IMs and promptly blocked on FA. Now, if this person sees this they'd know who they are and I honestly don't think they are a terrible person. But I was looking to honestly sit down and discuss things, and if I was wrong I would hope that they would have attempted to correct me...
Instead, I... What? I honestly do not know what happened.

In the end I'm kind of amazed. I'm not particularly angry, and I'd likely be willing to speak to these individuals on different and more peaceful terms. However, it can be quite amazing what kind of end results human interaction will have in the realm of the internet...

What projects do you like to support? Feedback needed.
Posted 8 years agoWhen you see a project out there in the community, what makes you want to support it? Whether it's advertising or donating a little bit of money?
What kind of projects are they? Are your favourite artists putting together a webcomic, or perhaps doing animations? Do you know someone who sings or is doing a video series?
What kind of incentives draw you in to support something even if you are not doing so with money?

(Don't just give me the names or describe events, I've got a lot of similar pieces, actually link them in the comments so I know what you're talking about). I really want to know what you'd like to see in the future so let me know what kinds of directions you want to see me take things.

Posted 9 years agoYup, I'm twenty three years old now. Kind of weird thinking about it, there are a lot of years of my life that I feel like I wasted, some went by two fast and others are a jumble of variety, good/bad, fast/slow and ooooh so many things but there are still plenty years left ahead of me even with the world going weird. But hey, things worked out so far this week, new computer is up and running although I had to sink more money into it than I wanted.
40 dollars to get an adapter to plug in the old monitor and another thirty for a new headset coming in later today because my current one is designed to only work with consoles apparently, so that's annoying XD Anyway, if people are able I would much appreciate help acquiring or rather making up for cake stuffs.
If you could send 5 or 10 CAD to kitsuneshukko[at]live.ca you would make a kitsune very happy and able to get a mega-sized carrot cake for his birthday <3

Looking for those with military experience...
Posted 9 years agoAnd those who are willing to talk about it. Mind you, if you experienced something traumatic I don't want to hear about that and I don't want to hear about your tours of duty if you can't or would not like to discuss those. Instead I'm looking for references. In some of my works combat WILL of course happen not to mention military operations.
Some of these I have more freedom with. In a story involving starships in combat, or knights, hell even androids I have a bunch of freedom and can play with details like clay but in a situation involving a variety of military personnel, military aircraft and naval vessels it's a different story. The same goes with more fictionalised versions of military contractors, which will take a bunch of influence from functioning militarises anyway.
I've got a few options, books and documentaries are two. I plan to look into some as well but I'd also like to talk with people, here things, learn things. It doesn't just need to be the United States or Canada, any country, any branch will do. I don't care if you were a chef on board a ship that's not even well known, that still counts and I'd like to hear it if you're willing to share.
If anyone is willing to provide some information for me, please comment below, with country you served(or are actively serving), branch of your nation's armed forces and entirely optional, rank. I'll try my best to get to you. c:

Computer slowly fading, help replace?

I've treated my laptop rather well since I got it back in the first half of 2014, a pretty basic Toshiba Stelitte and for the most part it did what I needed it to which was simply writing, talking with people and playing the most basic of games.
My previous two machines didn't fare so well. I got an HP laptop in 2011 and it served the same function, however the keyboard suffered water damage and soon the fan had issues of it's own (whenever the laptop was turned on it would automatically go into overdrive).
While my very first laptop before that just suffered hardware failure, although I suspect my mother or stepdad may have droppe the damn thing. >.> There was nothing any shops could do to salvage it.
As time moves on I can feel the need for a new computer approaching, this one is starting to get a little sluggish occasionally. On top of that it's had five unexplained crashes, I would say it blue screened but this being the computer it is it just brought me to a "your PC has encountered an error" kind of screen and attempted to reboot, unlike normal however when this had occured in the past I never got any kind of error code and it only happened when I moved the computer physically.
Now sure I could get it looked at, or even get instructions and try opening it up myself to see if something is wrong but I would rather not waste the funds getting it checked out (not to mention I'd like to be able to use it!) and would rather not risk damaging it just to see for myself.
So instead with the help of a friend I did some computer hunting, I have found two machines that would fit my needs, especially since I've been trying to do some decent gaming with friends these days instead of just boring old stuff XD The only problem is the price tag, they aren't crazy expensive, and I will only get one of them but it still comes out to about a thousand dollars.
So in the end I am asking for donations to help get a new computer, hopefully before this one spontenously fails or someone hits it. I'm afraid to leave the house with this thing, which is unfortunate because I tend to do a lot of writing away from home. >.>
I'm really afraid this one will die real soon. >.<

The twenty third century has come, civilisation has spread across the stars, but it is not the future we have come to expect. Since the early twenty first century the public as a whole has been exposed to various supernatural occurrences, magic, the occult, a variety of elements that have changed society, altered governments and even brought about new defence organisations to protect us from monstrous threats.
In the center of all of this is freelance mage, David Cailen F'taghn, who is about to find himself swept up into a into the center of a growing conflict far from Earth...
Originally I planned to do this as a free comic but the lack of development due to various incidents as prompted me to sell it for rather cheap instead, the people who have supported me heavily as well as Patreon supporters will be getting free copies but otherwise I am only selling chapter one for 3.50. It's a small amount but it'll add up and help us out greatly! The first chapter also includes the intro which you can find in the Exalt portion of my gallery but there is plenty of new content included as well with the release. This has been far too long in the making so I apologise to anyone who has been made to wait an awfully long time, there are few few things I can say and I think no excuses but what is done is done and here it is, chapter one finally out there.
We're already a bit into chapter two, although we have experienced some slow down, hopefully things will speed up again soon enough. I'm hoping to make chapter two quite a lot longer than the first but we will see what the future holds. As a Warning Exalt will be a story heavy series so expect small bursts of action and a lot of character development and calmer (or possibly emotional depending on the scenario!) scenes, we're not going to have entire chapters of just huge battles right at the beginning. So I hope you will all stick with me on this journey that is finally getting started. THIS IS ALSO OUR FIRST COMIC ATTEMPT, EXPECT IT TO BE WEIRD.
As for Patreon I am going to be working with some friends to revamp it again, hopefully start offering some fun rewards to people, which of course current patrons would get as well. Can't leave all of you behind <3 So I'm going to be sitting down and discussing with them how to handle things plus set stuff up.
