I regularly post stupid stuff in random forums I'm a part of would you guys like me to bring my idiocy to FA journals?

If I get no comments I'll assume the answer is no

Don't mind me I'm just putting this journal up to bump my I'm quitting the internet journal off my front page because I'm certain it's killing my FA page

why do I have so dang many of those kinds of journals? simple, frustration with the direction FA was going, general gloomies, my IRL life going to pieces for a bit, and bit of a gamming addiction.

what to expect going forward?

I'm stepping out of my self imposed exile and commission some art of a new character I designed while I was away. As for the stories, I can't say for sure what I'm gonna do about that, a back in 2021 a huge whirlwind of bad events basically destroyed most of my motivation to write stuff and I've been burned out since.

So anyways if there's anyone still around after all this time please comment

edit: I'm currently in the market for someone to make a master ref sheet for my character. I want someone focused on character development that I can bounce ideas back and forth with. I can pay via ko-fi

I'm just sick and tired of all the nonsense going on these days. I could rant for eternity about why but what's the point? nothing to be done. so for the foreseeable future I'm leaving the internet. not gonna deactivate my account because I don't want people to be deprived of what I posted although as of right now the most complete version of that is up on fimfiction. I don't know when I'll be back aside from checking on my watchlist and light browsing maybe. hope you all have a more pleasant day than I'm having.

as of right now I'm strongly considering quitting the internet on a fairly permanent basis. I'll post a new journal once I know more.

Due to things I doubt I need to really go into here I'm convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that we're witnessing the end of FA. why does FA exist? aside from being designed for artists it also persists due to general hatred of twitter and it's ideological bent. as of yesterday that latter thing is no longer true. so to all of the producers of art of any description please I beg of you start some presences on other sites I don't want to have to rebuild my type of content alone when the crunch inevitably comes. As for my own FA account I said I'm considering scaling back to a month delay and I intend to do so. the accounts that are listed as getting everything first (aside from fimfic they're week delayed like inkbunny now) are sites I trust implicitly the rest I'm skeptical of but not as skeptical of FA. At this point there's almost no difference between FA and twitter and I'm acting accordingly.

is there a website like e621 but for written works out there?

that FA gets my content later than my main presences and in light of recent events I'm strongly considering bumping FA down from 1 week to 1 month maybe longer.

As you probably already know there's an extremely important holiday coming up tomorrow that we're all gonna celebrate. That's right tomorrow is the important day that Dick Tracey married Tess Truehart. So remember everyone make sure to have a special dinner for Dick Tracey and remember to keep the tradition of wearing a yellow hat to the dinner.

am I the only one who's noticed a distinct quality drop on the art being posted on FA lately?

Since Silverstream and the zeppelin cruise has been finished on Fim fiction for months now would you guys preferred if I continued posting one chapter at a time here. the rest in episodic bits like now but all at once. or one big super copy

the question about the super copy also applies to future stories as well ie do you want me to release it 1 week time gated 1 chapter at a time like I do now or would you prefer me to wait until it's done on the other sites before posting all at once here?

I'd appreciate any feedback. I get lonely and I like comments.

first off I'm informing you all I deleted a journal I made a year ago in frustration because I don't wanna send the wrong message. no I'm not leaving FA until it either shuts down or I get kicked off whichever comes first.

this is a quote from a youtuber I enjoy watching and he's in the crosshairs of the progressives on other mainstream platforms and I realize he's right. I can't just up and leave because furaffinity is doing something I find self destructive. (what I'm referring to is the blatant hypocrisy in enforcing the new code of conduct and it's been weeks since the update) honestly when I'm FA I don't want to talk politics and I'll refer anyfur asking me about my politics to my more political accounts for conversation on the subject.

let me make one point abundantly clear: at this point I do not trust the FA staff to treat me fairly in any disputes I might have with someone who is screwing with me their bias is abundantly clear to me based on who they target and who they don't.

I'm obviously looking for another platform one that has tos that allow smutty furry writing and respect the concept of artistic expression and free speech. if I can get ahold of the site owner for one of them I'll ask him about it because while the tos doesn't expressly say no I think that's because I'll be the first to consider them a viable alternative. when I find this alternative I'll post to that place a week early. I'm also just considering posting pdfs to mega.nz and linking from any portals that allow that.

in the meantime though stories will still go live here until FA decides they want to ban me even though I'm really not interested in talking about the controversial things here. however the definition of what is controversial seems to shift by the day (milk is controversial need I say more).

exactly what it says on the tin. as of this moment my work will no longer be posted to this website for any reason

so with me finnaly getting some creative drive back and my position on a certain group of "controversial" people abundantly clear I just thought I'd inform you all of the criteria that I use to determine if I should block someone.

to me blocking should only be a tool of last resort and should be used with great care. to me blocking is the exercise of the power of the censor and I strongly believe that any form of power should be handled as if it were as dangerous as a firearm. with that said here are the circumstances in which I will block a user

just taking digs at me in the comment's section of my stories. I want to keep my stories separated from my positions on political issues as such people just commenting insults at me personally because they don't like me will be warned and if they persist will be blocked. also all of these aforementioned comments will be hidden.

bogging down my notifications with the aforementioned insults. these insults on their own don't particularly bother me and if they're not in the comments section of a story I've written I'm more inclined to let them stand. that said if a certain user is just spamming me with insults ie the notifications pertaining to their insulting me are disproportionately (say about 95 percent every day) clogging up my notifications feed I'll just block for that person

and finally I'll instantly block if you post something particularly threatening. in this modern age of oversensitive snowflakes the definition of threatening has loosened way beyond any semblance of being a serious threat. to that end I suspect my subjective definition of threatening is more than high enough to be a bannable offense on the site if not outright criminal in some extreme circumstances.


on a side note if you're going to insult me for god's sake be creative with it don't just hurl a canned insult. put some work into it

and before I block or hide a comment I will make sure to screenshot every comment made to publish in the interest of using power as transparently as possible. just so that I can show outside observers why I blocked.

update for july 4th 2017: if I find out a user is unironically associated with antifa communists or hard core 1488ers in the alt right I reserve the right to block you without provocation or warning if you're being ironic and I block you in error find a way to contact me and tell me and I'll unblock you

since everyone is making I figured I might as well. a lot of people are going around saying the year sucked I disagree. most often people will cite the celebraty deaths but keep in mind that famous people die all the fucking time. for me 2016 was a decent year I had a big political awakening realizing just how evil the authortarian left has become and how much power they had.

fortunately 2016 was also the year that this segment of the left shot itself in the foot trump was the final nail in the coffin it's only downhill from here now the fight is to make sure they don't drag anything important down with them.

I think afterbirth came out this year too so that's good and mlp had a decent season. so in summary 2016 wasn't a bad year (the world has seen worse I nominate 1944 or 43 as the worst because of all the genocide) but not enough good stuff happened to make it a good year.

so many journals expressing dismay at trump winning I figured I'd weigh in. trump wasn't my first choice he was like my third I wanted sanders. but alas the DNC put that down pretty quick, I disagree with trump on many things but I do share the sentiment of the people who elected him, I hate the establishment and especially Hillary.

I'm not so much happy that trump won but happy hillary lost. in my own political camp it's an opportunity to wrest the DNC from the corprate democrats and the sjw wackos. just to be fair to the people who despise trump to the point of blind hatred if trump does something objectively stupid I'll be criticizing him right along with you. for now though I'm celebrating the end of the corporate DNC and potentially the old left reclaiming the party
