Due to my harddrive dying, I've lost the files for Khorst's and (The Rockfish gal who I don't think I ever named)'s Dazmodels. Well, my HDD has been dead for a while, and technically their models have been gone even longer, but anyway, I am feeling that itch to get back into Daz stuff, especially since G9 is a single gendered model, so all morphs are immediately usable on male and female characters.

I'm just not sure if I should go through all the trouble of trying to remake the morphs for fish folk, or if I should just make up a set of legless characters just so that I can get back to posing and rendering things

What is it with all the Legless cats? Not that I'm complaining, and it may just be my perception of things, but I feel like I see more legless-but-arm-having felines than other types of legless OCs

Do you guys mind if I just make a mer for each of the classes? there's only about 5 left to do

Do you guys find the hero forge stuff annoying? And if so, do you mind if I make a small merfolk adventuring party?

Does anyone know anything about, or know anyone who does know anything about Rigged Geografts and morph making for Dazstudio?

Hey, I'm moving accounts, why? I just feel like I need a new start, and I know I've said "I'll get to work, I'll focus on writing stuff" many times before, but I think this'll actually help. Is this rebranding? I don't know, anyway, my new account is  SeatrailsCourierService , I'll keep this account up for about a week while I transfer things, and then I'm actually going to delete it rather than abandon it

I just realized that I've officially been here for 3 years as of yesterday, woooh

So, it turns out I actually do have seasonal depression, and thus why I haven't done much recently, and I've honestly lost the drive to do anything, now I know I didn't have any drive last summer, but that's because I had no air conditioning and I felt like I was dying in the wet tropical heat, anyway:

winter isn't very long down here, so thank heck, I'll try to do something with my fishfolks just to make sure I'm not out of practice, I was actually working on a shark, but the sharkperson morph is...uh...stupid, it changes the entire body, and selecting vertices and changing them back just messes the whole thing up, so I ditched that, then I decided to do an orca merson, but it turns out that I don't have my orca skin files from Victoria 4, I'd have to make a custom head for that anyway in Zbrush, which I also need to reacquire

so back to the catfish and goldfish

GUESS WHO FOUND OUT THAT THE CUSTOM ZBRUSH MORPHS WERE TRANSFERRED WITH MY FISH FOLK? ME

I know I've been gone a while, but I've returned with bad news, recently I had a hard drive failure and I managed to jump some of my old files over to the new drive before the old one completely shat out and uuuhhh

welp, I didn't get the goldfish/catfish duo, or Zbrush for that matter, so if they ever do come back, it wont be for a loooong time, and they probably wont look exactly how they should

now, I've thought about reacquiring Zbrush and just starting off with some new characters, but man, doing marine mammals would be a pain, I could get away with doing minimal work to Goldfish and Catfish's tails because they had no vagina or penis respectively (they were fish, they just had to deal with giving oral and being frustrated) but if I do a dolphin or seal or something, I'd have to give them vags/dicks, which would require modifying the tail's mesh, and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't know how to do, but hey, if I ever do figure that out, you'd likely see Kuya getting dicked down constantly

anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on where to go from here, I'm all ears

Oi, I'm busy slowly learning more stuff about Zbrush so that I can make better fish and improve the two that I have, anyway, is there anything you guys wanna see from the two fish as I study?

So if you have a back facing butthole (which I prefer), you would have a femur like bone(s) attached to the pelvis, resulting in knees, but if you have an extended spine, you would have a flexible, versatile tail(which is preferred), but a case of front butt

if only having a spinelike bone starting at the very bottom of the pelvis wasnt so crazy
