Dealing with IRL problems and not in a good place to draw sorry, I don't know how long I will be

My other bi-yearly journal.

Fairly adjusted in the new place now, been working on myself mentally and taking steps on having a better outlook on things. Art-wise I've still continued the trend of doing more art each year, from around 120 pieces last year to 150ish, still aiming to increase that in the coming year.

What a year, hard to believe that it's been that long since I've moved home. A lot has happened but not much has changed IRL, I'm much happier overall though, still got personal things to work out but not having that looming over my shoulder is a giant weight off my chest.

I've also bucked the trend of doing less art each year, upped the amount from around 90 pieces last year to 120 this year- which isn't a lot granted and is still less than my other years, but I aim to keep increasing that number.

I know I sound like a broken record, but truly, thank you all for being here, I hope you all have a wonderful New Years and a great 2024!

It's been a long time coming but it's finally over and I'm in my new place. I actually moved 2 weeks ago but I've had no internet until last night, but now for the most part a good chunk of life/paperwork stuff is sorted.

Hopefully I will get into the art swing of things soon!

So as the title suggests, after 2 long years of stopping and starting, setbacks and the like, I can say with 95% certainty that I'll be moving home in 2 weeks time. I'll be now in definite art hiatus until the move is over and even then it might take me a few weeks extra to get settled in the new place.

Hey all.

So as the title suggests I'm moving house, it's not set in stone *yet* as I've had numerous set backs over the past year- but currently I'm the furthest I've ever been and it looks like things will keep progressing on the right track. On top of that, once I move my life will be significantly different to what it is currently, I'm using the move to make a fresh start for myself. What that means for my artwork is uncertain, I do still want to keep drawing but things might not work out the way I want it.

So for the moment I won't be drawing or uploading as much- or maybe at all until I've finally moved. I know I'm not the most prolific uploader but I figured I should let you guys know.

Everything works! My god, it took a wipe and downloading old tablet drivers to get it to work.

Thank you to everyone that helped me with this, I would of gotten exactly no where otherwise~

So, in an attempt to fix something on my computer I've gone ahead and broken my drawing tablet. The tablet itself is fine and works on my ancient laptop, but on my PC it refuses to run properly.

So for the time being I can't work on my art until I find a solution and I'm unsure when that will be.

I'm glad my spamming of my sketch content wasn't that obnoxious, thank you for sticking around!

Going to be changing things up and will be uploading my sketch work from now on, this includes the stuff I've drawn up until this point.

I won't spam you with it; I'll slowly upload it all these coming days and I'll probably stick it all in my scraps folder. I'm not going to show completely everything, stuff like unfinished WIPs and drawings I'm unhappy with will stay offline until the end of year art dump I do.

I **may** change my mind in the foreseeable future but that's not until I get things sorted.

This isn't really that journal worthy but it's partly to get rid of the Christmas journal aha. But yeah, I've been thinking about it for a while and really the dude has no real anteater traits and it only confuses people on my own original species, the Vekdle.

So I'm putting him under "Vekter" now (combo of anteater and Vekdle) and changing existing tags to have that instead; he'll still be labelled as a fusion and on the reference images I'll keep the other tags to serve as information if new people are interested.

Yeah, life just got in the way of everything for the past 3 weeks; one thing came up after another.

It really means a lot ^^ , thank you for sticking around despite my chaotic drawing schedule

These past 2 weeks have been completely draining, sorry for the lack of art- I just don't have the energy at the moment.

I figured I should pose this question to you guys.

It's probably easy to tell I don't like sticking to one type of subject matter for too long; which is great for practice but kinda bad for viewer retention as there's little familiarity. So what would you like to see more of? More finished pieces, more art of a certain character? More obscure characters?

Feel free to comment! But don't feel obligated to answer; it's just something to ponder over.

OK so, with the advent of people mass leaving tumblr and jumping over to twitter instead; I've gone and made a twitter account also. It's largly just going to be another place where I upload my art but there might be the odd rambling here and there though.
