Posted 14 years agoWell, I finally made it home from RF. I have to say, it was a pretty good trip aside from the tension. It was definitely nice having a real vacation without having to run errands like a fiend.
I finally got to meet a penpal of 6 years and I have to say that was the highlight of my trip. Recently we joked about getting together and we never knew it would become reality. It was a surreal experience.
Not much to say really. Just trying to get back in the groove of things.

Posted 14 years agoSo, I just finished my first rotation at work. I have to say it's been on eventful one. They started me out on a Saturday and I took it well in stride. My technical skills are still pretty down in the dumps. I don't blame them after they've been kicked, and dumped in a pool of ice water! But eventually, I'll get them back. this clinic's pretty forgiving and willing to teach. They don't make me feel incompetant if I miss one IV. I've had to do a few odd procedures that I really do not like. but I guess it could be worse. Though, I'm in a clinic that does a lot of rescues. I guess it comes with the territory. Heck I have a feeling I'm going to lose a hand soon to a cat! Working with ferrets has proven to be quite a challenge. Damn, those things are squirrelly. I've seen some interesting cases. One of them still amazes me. Good news is the vets like me for my hardwork...the TAs however don't like how I leave a mess everywhere I go XD.

Posted 14 years agowell, I figure it's time for an update on my boring life. I started work again just a few days ago. It's been hectic to say the least. Moving back in with my parents (especially my mom) hasn't been easy to say the least. Basically, it's the old I'm back, we can control you again. Thanks for forgetting that I've lived on my own did my own stuff for the last half year. Sadly for her is that she's going to have to learn that I'm just living here, she ain't controlling me again.
