Ballad of Mecha Pinkie #12 is up!

Bwahaha! Looks like Panel 12 is FINALLY here! Sorry it took so long - but as you can all see - this is my most ambitious drawing to date. It took me about 30 hours from start to finish, and it has 18 ponies in it (all on-model and with individual cutie marks). :D Suffice it to say, I did a LOT of research for this one!
I won't have Panel 13 out for another week (or two) since I have a LOT of homework that has piled up over the three days it took me to do this. But I will keep posting line art and concept art during the interlude (not to mention a few pony animations) so stay tuned! :heart:

So I finally finished the first project assigned to me from my "2D Character I" class here at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD)! Took me long enough! ...sheesh... Ballad of Mecha Pinkie 11 is up!

So it may have taken me a while (okay, forever!) to get back into the swing of things - but now that I'm not sick and my college's computer labs are available to me, I've finally managed to get back to my comic and get Panel 11 out!
This marks the end of Act 01's "foreshadowing" phase. We've finally reached the top of the hill and are just about to peak over the top and see the climax! Expect some ca-razy partying in the next panel!
Also - I'm not really sure whether or not I made this panel too dark (not in tone, but color-wise). Can all you bronies see everything alright? Or would you prefer me to lighten up the colors a bit like in Panel 10? Feel free to lemme know down below in the comments section.
Aside from that - I'm expecting to have Panel 12 out no later than next Friday (it'll be a VERY large three-field pan). So I'll catch you all later when I post the line art for Panel 08 (most likely Tuesday).

Well I've caught one heck of a flu and have been in bed sick these past few days - which has kept me from drawing or attending my classes (let alone getting to my college's computer labs to use them). So I'm seriously behind in updating the Ballad of Mecha Pinkie Pie for all of you guys.

However I'm drinking lots of water, sleeping a LOT, and taking tons of medication - so I'm hoping to feel good enough to get back to work by tomorrow! In the meantime, I've been slowly releasing all of my line art and concept art to try and maintain a steady flow of releases (not here on Furaffinity, unfortunately, since as far as I can tell they don't have a "scraps" folder, but my deviantART page should have them all) - so feel free to head on over to my gallery and check them all out! I've released them for all of my panels up to 06 so far. Here's a quick and easy link to it:

So after 17 hours of solid work, I've managed to release panel 10 of my online storybook! It's a good one too! [link] With this panel we've essentially entered the "second half" of Act 01. Whereas the first half was dedicated to the creation of the Mecha Pinkie Pie - the second half will be dedicated to setting up the story for the rest of the Storybook - namely - how things start to go horribly wrong.
I'm hoping to get panel 11 out before my Summer Quarter starts back up again this upcoming Monday - so stay tuned!
Also - I haven't forgotten about that rhyming poll I did earlier last month, and I still intend to convert my text into rhymes! Just wanted to let you all know that I haven't forgotten ^^
I will also be closing down the current poll and hopefully setting a date for a future Livestream so you all can watch me work. I'll then record it and post it at super speed (who knows? Maybe I'll start doing it with all my panels from now on... we'll see...)

HURRAY!!! I finally managed to get Panel 09 up and running! It only took me, what? Two freaking weeks! I sincerely apologize for not getting it out to you guys sooner. I'm going to try my utmost best to get panel 10 out by Sunday as well.
So it's with teary eyes that we bid goodbye to Pinkie's Secret Party Research Facility! The rest of Act 01 will take place up above in Ponyville. But don't fear! I promise that the story will only get better and better from here on out. :D
But now I need to get to work on some interior drawings for MLPFIMonline, so I'll catch you all later!

I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to post anything lately (very unlike me). The reason is that while cleaning my apartment on Friday I happened to misplace my box of art supplies that had my Intuos 3 cintiq pen it it. So after I finished perfecting my composition in my sketchbook for Panel 09 and went to get my cintiq pen to draw it on the computer... I... couldn't find... it....
So I've spent the last several days freaking out over that.
In the end, I've had to order a new pen and it should be here Wednesday. So it looks like we'll have to wait until Thursday for the next panel. I'm so sorry everyone! T_T
On the plus side though, at least I can spend this time perfecting the story, sketching out the compositions for Panels 10 and up, and gnawing my hands off in frustration. ... yay!

Just wanted to post an update to keep you all in the loop. I'll be free of SCAD tomorrow around 5:00pm and then I'll need to sleep. I'd like to work Thursday but I'll be cleaning up my apartment and helping a friend of mine move so that's out of the question. Thus it looks like panel 09 won't be out until this Saturday/Sunday.
HOWEVER! The good news is that I won't have any college classes to get in the way for the next three weeks so my panels should be coming out much faster starting next week. Aside from that, I'll also be helping out the MLP MMO (headed by Urimas over at deviantART) by drawing some interior isometric scenes for them, doing a few Warcraft Character commissions for a friend, and a few OC MLP commissions for another friend - so we can all look forward to those as well! :D

Well we've finally come full circle and have arrived back at the drawing that started it all - the original concept drawing of Mecha Pinkie Pie! It's certainly been one helluva crazy fun month for me! Hard to believe it's only been four weeks since I even started drawing Mecha Pinkie Pie! It feels like a year!
Thank you SO much everyone for supporting my artwork - at the end of the day all my work is for you guys. ^^
But now I've got to focus on my finals for my classes (200 panel storyboard...) - so I'll see you all next week when I post panel 09!

First I want to apologize for not getting this out last night like I promised, but everyone here wanted to go see Kung Fu Panda 2 and I had to tag along. (By the way, BEST Dreamworks movie to date - GO SEE IT!!)
But here's panel 07! I hope you all like it! I'll have panel 08 out later tonight (although it's one you've all already seen before, since we've finally reached the part in the story where Mecha Pinkie is constructed).

Looks like I finished panel 06 just in the nick of time to still be considered "Tuesday". Hurray! This one took me about 11 hours from start to finish, and drawing the "Pinkie Pie Fun House" was a helluva lot of fun. I'm practically dancing with anticipation to draw the next panel though, since we finally get back to the Mecha (you know, the character that's just, you know, in the freaking title) ... *facepalms*
So stay tuned and hopefully I'll get panel 07 out by this Thursday! Cross your fingers!

Whew! I finally got panel 05 finished! Sorry about it taking longer than usual (I normally have these out Thursday evenings) but I had to scrap the original drawing and redo it. The composition was just... horrible. But have no fear! It turned out MUCH better the second time through.

So I had a LOT of unexpected stuff hit me in the face today - thus I wasn't able to get Panel 05 of my online storybook finished. I did, however, get it drawn out, so all I need to do is get it colored (and lined). I should have it posted sometime tomorrow! ^^

I just posted panel 04 in my gallery, so head on over and take a look! I also updated all of the previous panels to include story text boxes in their pictures (as suggested by nidoMedia) so that if you happen to find one of them outside of Deviantart/Furaffinity then the story can still be understood.
Well it was a fun week of pony madness! But now it's time to get back to my schoolwork, so I won't be posting anything new until next week. I'll see you all then!

MLP: FiM Episode 26 - The Best Night Ever

I loved it! And it was wonderful to have another musical number - Studio B really knows how to do them justice! It felt... right... to end the season with the Galloping Gala, especially since the first episode (excluding the pilot) was all about the Gala in the first place. I had a wonderful time reliving the first time I ever saw that episode (#3 "The Ticket Master") and comparing it to my experiences this morning watching the final one.
A lot has changed in my life over these past few months. I've seen a show that was previously rendered "dead" and "untouchable" in the animation world come back with renewed force and life - a show that was meant for a young female audience capture the hearts and devotion of fans of all ages and genders - the majority, surprisingly, being young adults! I've also come to value the resourcefulness of Flash and Digital Cel animation - truly coming to terms with how amazing it can be if used properly. I've opened up a DeviantArt account and have taken my first baby steps into the wide world of art! I've finally begun to work on projects for myself - and stopped focusing only on College work. I've chosen my specialized field of study (2D puppet/digital cel animation in Flash/Aftereffects) which has helped me to finally focus my talents more properly.
...and all thanks to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!
I know a lot of my friends have wondered and gawked at my strange excitement and utter fanatical devotion to the show and have asked me why I love it so much. I've given them the usual responses: it has wonderful animation, dynamic characters, intelligent stories and complex plot development - all the factors that should make any show rise above it's peers.
But in reality - the real reason behind my love for the show is that it has changed my life. Without it, I'd still be lost in the mundane projects assigned to me every week here at the Savannah College of Art & Design. I loved it! And it was wonderful to have another musical number - Studio B really knows how to do them justice! It felt... right... to end the season with the Galloping Gala, especially since the first episode (excluding the pilot) was all about the Gala in the first place. I had a wonderful time reliving the first time I ever saw that episode (#3 "The Ticket Master") and comparing it to my experiences this morning watching the final one.
A lot has changed in my life over these past few months. I've seen a show that was previously rendered "dead" and "untouchable" in the animation world come back with renewed force and life - a show that was meant for a young female audience capture the hearts and devotion of fans of all ages and genders - the majority, surprisingly, being young adults! I've also come to value the resourcefulness of Flash and Digital Cel animation - truly coming to terms with how amazing it can be if used properly. I've opened up a DeviantArt account and have taken my first baby steps into the wide world of art! I've finally begun to work on projects for myself - and stopped focusing only on College work. I've chosen my specialized field of study (2D puppet/digital cel animation in Flash/Aftereffects) which has helped me to finally focus my talents more properly.
...and all thanks to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!
I know a lot of my friends have wondered and gawked at my strange excitement and utter fanatical devotion to the show and have asked me why I love it so much. I've given them the usual responses: it has wonderful animation, dynamic characters, intelligent stories and complex plot development - all the factors that should make any show rise above it's peers.
But in reality - the real reason behind my love for the show is that it has changed my life. Without it, I'd still be lost in the mundane projects assigned to me every week here at the Savannah College of Art & Design. Posted 14 years agoSooooooo... Looks like panel 01 won't be posted until later on this evening. I have to wake up in five hours and then drive to Jacksonville, so I'm forcing myself to go to bed. To be honest, I think I'm done with it - but I need a few fellow students to take a look at it and critique the lighting. I could post it now, but I know you all want it to be as perfect as possible. ^^

Just thought I'd toss up an update so that you all knew I haven't forgotten about ya. My homework has been piled on pretty high this past weekend, but I'm fairly certain that I'll be able to get my next panel in my "My Little Pony: The Ballad of Mecha Pinkie Pie" comic up and running by this Thursday. So hang tight and I'll see you all then! ^^

Posted 14 years agoHey everypony! I just finished the first panel (technically the front cover) of my now ongoing web comic "My Little Pony: The Ballad of Mecha Pinkie Pie". Feel free to take a look at it in my gallery. ^^
I won't be able to post the next one (much less work on it) until this upcoming Monday most likely - I have a TON of homework for my classes this weekend - but if I manage to squeeze some extra time then I'll see if I can get to work on it before then. No matter what, Panel #01 will be up and running by no later than next Thursday.

Posted 14 years agoWhew! Just woke up from a crazy all-nighter! I spent a good 10 hours working on the first panel for my upcoming "My Little Pony: The Ballad of Mecha Pinkie Pie" web comic. Now that I'm awake I'm gonna eat some Eggos, watch some cartoons, and then head back to school to finish up. I should have it posted by tonight!
