Holiday Wish List
General | Posted 7 years agoWith Christmas coming soon and my birthday just 17 days away, I would love to get some gift art of my character. Anyone out there interested in drawing Flash for me? It would really make my year.
James L. DeShields Sr. (1934 - 2018)
General | Posted 7 years agoAs of last night my grandfather passed away. He was in the hospital the past few days suffering from pneumonia. He was 84.
He lived a rich full life. He served as a Sergeant Major in the US Marines, ran a transmission shop, taught auto tech at Camden County College, and raised a family.
He was a major influence in my life. I learned a lot from him about life; not just about the importance of auto maintenance.
I'll miss him.

General | Posted 7 years agoLife Update 10/31 - Happy Halloween!
General | Posted 7 years agoLast weekend I was at Furpocalypse 2018. I left work early on Friday and arrived there later that afternoon and left for home on Sunday. Despite only being there for a short time, I've had fun. I met a few friends I haven't seen in a while, bought some stuff in the dealer room, co-hosted the Open-Mic panel Friday night, performed in the Masquerade Saturday night (video should be up soon), and did a little drawing on Sunday before heading for home. I really wanna try to make a full weekend out of it next year and maybe bring my roommates along with me.
Speaking of which; we're all doing okay. We are pretty much settled in our apartment.
spookysushi is working on commissions. Feel free to hit him up for some.
Anyway enjoy your Halloween. Eat lots of candy and enjoy one of my favorite Pete & Pete episodes while you're at it:

Life Update 10/7 - Some Good News This Time!
General | Posted 7 years agoAs of Saturday October 6th me,
spookysushi, and
bookertw have moved into our new apartment! YAY! It feels good to be out on my own. Maybe now I can live my OWN life for a change. It's gonna be a while until we can get settled in. Still a lot of unpacking and rearranging furniture to do. At least we got internet!
Art will be coming soon once I get myself together.
And I will be at Furpocalypse this year! I'll be there from either Thursday or Friday night depending on if I can get time off and I'll be leaving on Sunday afternoon. So if you wanna hang out there, let me know.
Stay tooned for my updates!

Life Update 8/31
General | Posted 7 years agoFeels weird being at home instead of Mephit Fur Meet this weekend.
Anyway I just started my new job at an Amazon fulfillment center that just opened in West Deptford, NJ. Here's hoping I can keep this one.
Me and my friends are planning on moving to an apartment in early October. But first we have to get the house ready to be sold soon. It's gonna be a long month.
Because of everything I've been dealing with lately (stress, anxiety, frustration, etc.); finding the time and the motivation to draw has been difficult. So I've decided to put my art on hold until I get settled in my new place. Once there I can finally relax and focus more on myself.
As for attending Furpocalypse this year; I still plan on going even if I can't get time off for it. The best I can hope for is be there all day Saturday. We'll see what happens.
Stay tooned...and please pray for me.

Life Update 8/12
General | Posted 7 years agoIt's been a while since the last update, but here's what's been going on lately in my VERY FRUSTRATING year...
First of all...I know I haven't uploaded any art in a long time. The stress I've been dealing with on a daily basis has kept me from drawing what I need to do. Don't worry
lilifox I did not forget about your art challenge. Finding the time and energy to draw has been very difficult for me throughout the year.
Second...I'm in between jobs at the moment. I was let go from the Mitsubishi Parts Warehouse on Friday. So that's two jobs I lost this year. :( I'll be speaking with two staffing companies on Monday to try to get another job ASAP.
Third...Me,
spookysushi, and
bookerTW are looking for an apartment. Hopefully we can get approved for one this week. We really need to move.
And finally...due to my job situation I won't be able to attend Mephit Fur Meet this year and as of now Furpocalypse is looking very doubtful. Maybe something will change. I hope so because I can really use some good news this year. It's been nothing but stress and anxiety for me and my friends.

Life Update 6/30
General | Posted 7 years agoSo far I've been at my new job for two weeks. Things are going okay. Still learning everything and getting to know everyone. I still hope this one lasts.
Life at home is still a bit hectic; but not as stressful. The family's going on vacation to Florida next week. I can't go because of my job; but me,
spookysushi, and
bookerTW will have the house to ourselves for a week. We could all use some time apart and time to relax after the year we've had.
I'm still WAY behind in my art. I've been busy getting used to my new schedule and I'm still looking for time to get back to drawing.
As for furry conventions: *sighs* I'm going to have to skip Mephit Fur Meet this year. I just started my new job and I'm a bit low on spending money. So I'm going to try to make it to Furpocalypse in October. I don't wanna ask for time off too early since I just started working again. If I do get time off for it; I'm definitely going.
Stay tooned for details.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit - 30 Years Later
General | Posted 7 years agoI wanna share some thoughts about my favorite movie of all time and how it impacted my life:
I was 7 years old when this movie first came out in theaters in the summer of 1988. (I feel old :P) My aunt would take me to the movies when I was young. I liked the movie as a kid simply because it had cartoon characters in it and it really supercharged my imagination. I've always loved the idea of living in a world where toons and humans live side by side. (And yes it was one of my early gateways to being furry) I wanted to live in the Toon world. Heck, I actually wanted to BE a toon! Throughout the 90s my interest in the movie kinda waned. Every time it was shown on network TV they would cut out a few scenes for more commercials (I hated that). I did own the movie on VHS, but would only watch it a few times.
As I grew older, so did my interest in movies and cartoons. I paid more attention to details like animation styles and recognizing names in the end credits of movies and TV shows.
In 2003 Who Framed Roger Rabbit was re-released on a Vista Series 2-disc DVD set. It was the first DVD copy of the movie I bought. Seeing it on DVD (and on Blu-Ray which I now own) was like watching it again for the first time. It rekindled my love for the film. What really caught my attention were all the behind the scenes bonus features including the in-depth documentary "Behind the Ears". After watching it; not only did I gain a whole new respect for animation but for film making in general. Seeing all the hard work that went into making the movie made me appreciate it a whole lot more.
To summarize: I love Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It still holds up after 30 years. Everything about the movie is excellent. The story, the acting, the animation, and all the hard working technique that went into making it. It's a shame they don't make movies like that any more.
So, what are your thoughts on Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Are there any movies you liked as a kid that love more as an adult? Let me know.

Life Update 6/13
General | Posted 7 years agoGreat news...I found a new job! XD
Starting Monday I'll be working at a Mitsubishi Distribution Center in Swedesboro, NJ. I'll have more details on that later. Right now I'm just happy to be working again. God works in mysterious ways. I did want to go back to pulling stock orders again; I didn't think it would be with another company. :P
As for my vacation plans. It's doubtful I can make it to Mephit Fur Meet this year; but I should still be able to make it to Furpocalypse in October. However it could all change.

One Week Later...
General | Posted 7 years agoJust an update on what I've been up to...
...not much.
I've been having a really hard time trying to relax. I'm worried about everything. Trying to find a job, stress and tension at home, etc.
But at least I'm still alive.

This Is NOT How I Wanna Start My Week
General | Posted 7 years agoAs of today, I have been laid off from my job...
*GROANS*
...after I get myself together. I'm gonna go job hunting again. Hopefully I'll find something soon. This will definitely affect my plans for attending Mephit Fur Meet and Furpocalypse this year...hopefully not too much.

Sorry For the Lack of Art - And Cons For the Year
General | Posted 7 years agoFirst off; I haven't been drawing as much as I wanted to lately. Life at home has been a bit stressful and my job's been hectic as well. Plus I've been distracted quite a lot. (This darn porn addiction :P) I apologize for that. I know how far behind I am. I try to do little sketches from time to time to keep me motivated. It's been difficult, but I'm trying. My stress has been bugging me lately.
Second; as for conventions this year. I won't be attending Anthrocon this year. I'm going on vacation with my family around that same time. But don't worry, I still plan on attending Mephit Fur Meet and Furpocalypse. And maybe Furrydelphia. I'm not sure yet.
I should have more details on those later.

Life Update - First For 2018
General | Posted 8 years agoThis weekend
spookysushi and his roommate Durgan will be moving into the house. So it'll be me, my dad, his girlfriend, my FWB, and his roommate. Sounds like the premise for a cable sitcom, doesn't it? :P
Anyway, I'm hoping my house will provide them a safe haven so they can get themselves together.
As for my art: I know it's been a while since I've drawn anything. I do have a couple of ideas I wanna work on soon. I've been sketching from time to time to keep my creativity up. You'll see new stuff from me soon.

Life Update
General | Posted 8 years agoThings are still a bit hectic in my life; especially with the holidays right now.
My job is still crazy with all the changes going on with some of the parts stores closing and moving to new locations and all the parts that have to pulled in such a short amount of time.
Speaking of time; I'm still struggling to find time to draw. I'm still on my break from taking requests till I can get my creative streak back. It probably won't happen until after the holidays.
And speaking of that;
spookysushi and his friend Durgan will be moving in with me around that time. We should be ready for them by then.
Oh, and my birthday is Monday the 18th. It would be cool to get some fanart. Just sayin'.

My Trip to Furpocalypse 2017
General | Posted 8 years agoThe con was a week ago and I haven't posted an update yet! Shame on me...
...Anyway, I had a great time last weekend. I got to stay in the main hotel with Mike Wolf and Quph Lynx. (Not sure if they have FA accounts, but if you're out there thanks for letting me stay with you guys)
I didn't commission anyone this year. I just wanted to relax and try to get my own creativity back. I drew a couple of sketches on Sunday since it was so chilled that day. Not much going on.
As for my comedy; me and Dtales Dragnowolf hosted our Open Mic Comedy panel on Friday. It went well despite not having a working microphone just the fursuit prop I use :P
We both got to perform in the Masquerade on Saturday. I won second place! WHOOO!!!
Check out the whole thing here -
As usual I had a great time at Furpocalypse. I wanna go back next year. Hopefully my friends who couldn't make it this year will be there next year.

Furpocalypse 2017 and an Art Update
General | Posted 8 years agoHard to believe that
furpocalypse is next week already! Anyway I'll be staying at the main hotel this year. Once again I'll be cohosting the Open-Mic Comedy panel on Friday and I'll be performing in the masquerade on Saturday. Come find me next weekend and let's hang out and stuff!
As for my art: I still have 3 pics I need to finish. I'm in the process of coloring them now. I'm hoping to have those uploaded this weekend. I'm still taking a break from taking requests. I've been too preoccupied with everything in life and I need to focus on what I wanna draw.
