Posted 11 years agoBeen getting a lot of interviews lately, which is great! However, most of which advertise for things such as analytic/financing jobs and wind up just being sales jobs. 15 minutes into the interview they start to spring the whole 'you can be your own company, BUT YOU'RE NEVER ALONE WITH US!' Or 'You could be making upwards of $100k if you work hard enough'. Fuck off, I don't want to work 7 days a week for a commission based salary.
Regardless, two interviews look promising so far. One of which is next week, granted it's for an internship, it's with the company I would want an actual career with. I'll take a shitty paying internship for a foot in the door with the company. Aside from that, been applying and working around the house.

Posted 11 years agoIt's been a while since I've updated this thang at all. Been busy getting projects done around the house and trying to apply for jobs; I have some (hopefully) good leads for Samsung, Kiewit, and UPS in the corporate levels.

Posted 12 years agoI went for a few hours, hung out with some people, didn't even go into the con space. Sounds like a success to me!
More so, it seemed pretty damn boring. Not much going on, just people hanging out. If I could draw it may have been more fun! Ah well, there's always next year. Maybe I'll get a hotel room next time :P

Seriously though, best time ever. I gambled like $300 away and had a blast doing it. It could have been because I was absolutely wasted at the time, but it seemed like a fantastic idea to slap $100 down at a table in which I have no clue whats going on. (Craps)
Also, stay on the main strip, a few blocks away from the casinos it turns into the slums, scary shit. We had a hooker drive by us and yell out the window "Anyone want to get freaky for some loose change?!?" Loose change. That's right people, you can go home with your very own prostitute for loose change!
Go to Vegas instead, that's my next trip.
