I swear, and now you can't get rid of me cause i'm a
✨Professional (and VAT legal) Freelance Digital Illustrator now✨
Buuuut, it wasn't planned actually XD
Several stuff happened in these 2 years... so let me explain:
I graduated as vet technician and I worked in a vet clinic for 2 years... but then, PLOT TWIST
I figured out that it wasn't my road, my vocation. Not because I don't like the job, but the environment and all the stress that is linked to this job was not for me.
You know, for a vet is normal to take care of sick animals, and that means being in constant stress, doing a lot of stuff at the same time, blablabla...
And of course, I discovered this side of the profession only being part of this mess.
Plus, there are no carrier opportunities as vet nurse here in Italy... sad, but true: Vet consider us useless and "job stealer", when we are actually there to HELP them :')
And it's funny, cause the degree as vet tech exists but the job isn't recognized here by the state :')
WELCOME TO ITALY, UH?
That's why I decided to SPLURGE
I've opened my VAT license last summer, and now I am a:
- Content Creator
- Digital Illustrator
- Graphic Designer
- Vet Technician
yeah, I have a VAT code for all these professions XD and I regularly pay taxes for what I do.
I invested a lot of money in my digital training: a social strategist is collaborating with me for my new project and for the development of my personal brand. It worked actually 🐺I had already a lot of satisfactions.
BUT, I don't have other accounts linked to furry stuff actually. I'm planning to use furaffinity only for this.
That's why I'm writing this journal for you.
Explaining my situation and giving you updates about everything was the minimum.
Just for curiosity, i'll write down here where you can find me and what I do in each social media:
- Instagram: ITA ONLY, I spread my veterinary and zoological knowledge through art and my doggie dude, Yuna
- Twitch: mainly ITA, I draw in live while my Doggie Vtuber play videogames

I will be a veterinary technician/ethologist pretty soon ;3, and I'm going to discuss my thesis in the following months.

I've finally decided to open my commissions again, but this time I will be more selective.

Said that, here explained how it will work this time:
Since I'm particularly busy due to the preparation of my degree as vet techinician and ethologist, I would like to work on commissions and ideas that I like the most.
You have until 20th July 2020 to compile this form and let me know at what kind of piece you are interested.
Consider that I will probably stream the commissions' process on twitch/picarto, since I would like to experiment these sites.

🎨 Help me improving in art! ✏️
General | Posted 6 years agoHeya dude ❤️ I'm here to ask you some help, for once! And I prefer to not involve other social medias than FA and my telegram's channel for this... Cause I don't like doing this kind of stuff. BUT, it regards my career and future this time, so why not.
I'm near to my degree and my boyfriend offered me to live together "for free" as soon as he moved. That's to allow me to continue with my ethological studies (I'm planning to take a course at ENCI to specilize in Dogs' Education and Training, and to do an intership as a veterinary technician and assistant). And to spend the money I earn for that.
He thinks that training and taking care of our future dog is enough to catch up, but I don't feel comfortable with this solution...not completely.
So, I'm planning to help him a little bit with my drawings income, as soon as I get the degree. But to allow that, I have to improve in my artistic skills and I need another artistic (and expansive) tool to practice more easily: an ipad.
I can't use my current earning to buy it for now cause I need them for daily expenses, like: university's books and travels, bills (I currently help my parents with that) ext.
That would be awsome if you can contribute a little bit through paypal.me/fleira or my ko-fi account. I can't assure you a reward for that at the moment, but I will be forever grateful and I will take you in consideration for sure, in the future!
But more specifically, why do I need an ipad?
Because it would allow me to draw everywhere more professionally, not forcing me to use my computer all the time (I have back and right-arm problems). And it would allow me to draw personal things more easily and with much more desire. That means more practice!
My aim is to gain more audience in the following months and before my degree, in order to be commissioned more easily (I hope) and earn a decent amount per month. If I manage to draw more easily and to post an artwork more frequently, I will be noticed more easily for sure.
Said that, take in consideration that I DON'T WANT to be a full time artist in the future. Tho, it would be a shame to throw away my skills like that, so I think i'll continue to draw commissioned pieces as a second job. And I really hope to keep drawing even when I'll work with animals.

SCHOOL/WORK
Do you work or are you a student: I am a vet-student who draws furry artworks to earn something in the meantime. I will get a degree soon tho, so I think i'll have a "real" job pretty soon. But I would like to work both with animals and art
What do you do well: Probably drawing and talking about scientific facts about animals XD
Where do you see yourself in 5 years: In a house with my boyfriend and my pets (maybe 1-2 dogs, parrots and a gecko XD), working as ethologist.
HABITS
Drink: I don't like alcoholics in general (as taste), but I rarely drink beer and white wine
Smoke: a big fat NOPE
Do Drugs: absolutely NOT
Exercise: I go to the gym 2 times per week. I would like to have "Undyne" physique XD
Have a go-to comfort food: Everything is liquid and hot (tea, soups...)
Have a nervous habit: tear off the superficial skin of my lips ^^" or its cuticles. Unfortunately, it's nervous tic I have had since I was a child

All "celebrations" and little business trip are finally over and I can work again.
Sorry sorry again for the long waiting time with not WIPs, as I said it was all unexpected and I couldn't organize commissions properly :C
My commissioners will receive WIPs via trello or notes in the following days, so give a look to FA or my trello!
About me, I am ok, just need to recover and I know it will pass some time for that ^^" but hey, I am strong enough, I will overcome this!

I'm passing through a very bad period due to my dying grandma.
It is pretty unexpected and I was hoping to succeed in the completion of all YCHs before something bad happens. Well, the situation is degenerating quickly and It's getting harder and harder to find the time to work.
I was supposed to go on holiday next week, but well I guess i need to postpone everything now.
I will go on a hiatus for at least a week, so I say sorry to my commissioners since the WIPs will be on hold for some time.
I'll do my best to work a little in these days despite all that.

In the end, my grandma died the day after that journal. We have already "celebrated" the funeral and we have just finished to empty her house (it required 3 day, full time X.X). We only need to celebrate a second funeral in the place where my grandpa is buried, in south italy. My grandma always wanted to be buried with him.... now she's just ashes (yep, she was cremated), so we need to accomplish this wish in the best way we can.
That means I'll be off for some days, but well, I'll take my galaxy TAB A with me, so I can work on my commissions' cell shading at least... whenever I have time.
I am really sorry for this waiting time, it was unexpected :C But well, thanks for understanding the situation.
Talking about me, well, I'm not fine but I don't cry anymore. The first days I had nightmare about my grandma (since I saw her dead body and it shocked me) and I wasn't able to walk in the dark anymore (in night time ofc). I am fine now thanks to my boyfriend, he helped me and my parents a lot this week T_T
