Joker's Health Update 15/07/18 (Some Good News!)
Posted 7 years agoHe is feeling better today, skipped his procedures since breathing is normal now. Taking meds, but eats good, plays with other dogs and sleeps as normal.
Just a quick headsup for everyone who is interested!
On a side note, there is a white spot on his lungs on the xray... But there is nothing we can do with it, surgery is a no-no for him, so... We will see what we can do with meds and all, as long as he feels good - we will enjoy our time together.

About Joker's Health (Info for Commissioners)

Uh... I wish I had some good news. Last month, he was ok. We finished some precedures, gave him meds, it took more time of the day than I planned, but thanks God, I have very understanding commissioners. I have about 4 pictures from vet bills batch delayed for 2 weeks now, gonna be finished asap, I'm super sorry for this delay, I was a fool for giving you my regular turnaround time to expect, when I had such a situation to care about in my life, which obviously didn't allowed me to work on a regular schedule.
Nothing crazy with delays or backlog is going on, I just hate myself for every day of delay, even if I have 1-2 pictures in a queue. Eh... Back to the story:
Joker was totally ok for the last month, procedures and meds helped, we walked, ate, played and slept like normal. I was very happy... And yesterday, in the evening, he started coughing again, had problems with breathing and laying down...After a few hours he calmed down somehow and slept all night until it was time to go to our vet.
There is inflamination and air in his lungs again. And something what looks like a tumor as well... We will know for sure tomorrow, because maybe it was a part of his lungs which turned this way because of the air inside his body, which they sucked out after the xray. So...Tomorrow we will know. But if there is a tumor - we can't help it. They did surgery like that only once and it wasn't a success. If it's not, then we have no idea what's going on with his body, which is also super scary...
Now after the procedures, he is somehow ok and sleeping. Tomorrow procedures again, I already bought and gave him meds. We are going for another round of this fight and I have no idea how long we can go on and if there is a chance for a win. Long story short: he is in the same state as the month ago, I will need more money for medications and treatment, so be sure, I will be offering more commissions again after I'm done with this batch. Well, actually I'm still open now, for the same discounted rate for artistic freedom pictures. I will start on new commissions in a first paid - first served order, after I'm done with a current batch, which should take me another week, I guess...

On the other hand, I'm trying really hard to be there for him, to care about him, to work more so I can support him, even if drawing is really hard in this state of mind. I skip gym all the time, just to have more time for Joker and work, but as a result of it and junk food, which I feed myself with to calm down, I throw in the trash all of my gym progress, my diet and all, I lose my shape and I hate myself for it even more... I drunk a lot of energy drinks just to stay awake longer and do more work, I did it until my liver failed on my few days ago and I was really sick for a day... All in all, I'm in such a horrible mental and health shape right now, that I don't know how to make it and stay strong for Joker.
I just...I dunno. So tired.

Happy Birthday to Me and SAI Help Needed

I'm turning 27 today...woah.
Aaaaanyway. Best gift today would be some help with SAI >.>
I know there is a LOT of solutions all around the internet, but most of all didn't helped me at all. I will continue trying, but I think it worth to ask here too:
I have a problem with SAI and multi displays. So, I have main screen + cintiq on 2 different machines (one laptop, one regular PC)
So, when I click on a screen with sai and move it around, it acts like thinks that my 2 screens are 1 giant screen, so cursor is not under my pen in sai and it moves slowly over on my main screen. It only works correctly if screens are in the mode where both shows the same picture. As you realise, that's now what you want from 2 screens setup XD
That's a big problem for me...This happened after reinstalling windows on 2 machines at my friend's place where I work from time to time.
On my own PC (with 4 screens) it works fine, as well as with my own laptop. But I'm afraid that it could happen here too, if I will have to reinstall windows or something... Scary.
Anyway, all that makes problems for me when I want to visit a friend but don't want to waste time and still working at his place, while watching a movie and all.
I hope someone also had this problem and found a way to fix it, so you can share how you fixed it. Meanwhile, trying every solution found on the internet...

My dog is sick, vet bills, commissions and such
Posted 7 years agoOk, guys, here is some updates on Joker's health situation: as some of you might know, he got pneumonia which followed by spontanious pneumothorax.
Means, air collected inside his body, leaking outside his lungs. That's his xray at the point when it was really bad:

At the photo you can see him inflated like a toy, coundn't breath if sitting and laying, so he was like that, inbetween treatment 2 times a day (they just used syringe to suck out air out of his body. He is feeling better now, here is some fresh photos.

It took us almost 3 weeks of procedures, 2 times a day (about 4 hours every day in vet clinic), around 10 xrays, ultrasound, bloodtests, nomerous pills.
Now, his lungs seems to not have any perforation since there is no unneded air inside his body, but we again have some inflamination in his lungs.
So, few more weeks of antibiotics and we will see what it will show on xray. Doc is worried he has some kind of tumor growing inside, but we don't know for sure.
Only MRI could show it, but first of all, they don't do it for animals in my town.
Second thing: animal has to be under anesthesia when having MRI done and we can't take such risk, he is 9 y.o. and already was under anesthesia for 5 times.
So...we can just wait and see. Thanks God, he eats, walks and sleeps fine for now!
Long story short: You can imagine how much money has been spent on the vet bills, so if you wanted to commission me, that would be a good timing!

At the photo you can see him inflated like a toy, coundn't breath if sitting and laying, so he was like that, inbetween treatment 2 times a day (they just used syringe to suck out air out of his body. He is feeling better now, here is some fresh photos.

It took us almost 3 weeks of procedures, 2 times a day (about 4 hours every day in vet clinic), around 10 xrays, ultrasound, bloodtests, nomerous pills.
Now, his lungs seems to not have any perforation since there is no unneded air inside his body, but we again have some inflamination in his lungs.
So, few more weeks of antibiotics and we will see what it will show on xray. Doc is worried he has some kind of tumor growing inside, but we don't know for sure.
Only MRI could show it, but first of all, they don't do it for animals in my town.
Second thing: animal has to be under anesthesia when having MRI done and we can't take such risk, he is 9 y.o. and already was under anesthesia for 5 times.
So...we can just wait and see. Thanks God, he eats, walks and sleeps fine for now!
Long story short: You can imagine how much money has been spent on the vet bills, so if you wanted to commission me, that would be a good timing!

I'm alive, doing a bit better. Here is another update for you, so you see where your money goes:

Here is some updates on the situation. First of all: thank you all so much, I'm positively shocked by how many kind words and donations I got from you, people! Thank you, I can't thank you enough for your support.

I don't think it's right to write amounts, but all together we raised around $200.

So, left overs of donations (if something is left), will go as a fund for a puppy. I think that is something what REALLY can help me, my family and especially Joker, my second dog, who is now alone and super lonely. He is 8 y.o. now, when we got him, Yasha was 2 y.o. And they were together since then. Now he is absolutely lost, tho I'm not sure if he already realised she is not going to come home anymore...
Summary:

My Dog Died...
Posted 8 years agoYesterday, after 6 hours fight for her life in the vet, one of my dogs, Alaskan Malamute named Inuyasha died.
Someone poisoned her (she probably ate something from the ground on the street, that dog hunters throw around), so she died long, painfull and horrible death.
I was with her the whole way and after. I couldn't help, all the doctors around couldn't. I wish they at least say that there is no way to help so we give her painkillers and let her go in peace.
But that didn't happened. Listening to her crying like human would do (I never heard a dog making these sounds in my life before), petting her and promising it will be all right. But it's not all right.
Yesterday at this time a had best dog ever beside me. Now she is not with me anymore and I don't know how to live with all these pain.
In Russia we have no cremation (not for humans, not for animals), we have no animal graveyards. I have nothing of her now. I left her in the vet, they will bury her with others and I will have nowhere to come.
I really want to make a memorial or something, which is very expensive. I really would like to have a statue, life size one, but I'm not sure if I can afford it anytime soon, because this last vet visit was expensive (and absolutely useless, as you can see).

Please, notice that it's nothing emergency. I paid all of our vet bills, there is nothing anyone can do to bring her back. If you want to help someone who can REALLY use it, then donate to your local animal shelter, they might REALLY NEED your help. Thing I'm talking about here is something I really wanna do to keep at least something in this world about Yasha. A place where I can come and cry and... I don't know.
