Life in the Theatre
Posted 11 months agoI'm still working at the theater, still the facilities manager, but the job has grown a lot since I mentioned it 8 months ago. We're in massive renovation right now. We've demoed our amphitheater to expand our lobby and education department. We're adding an education stage, catering kitchen, gallery space and more offices.
About 4 months or so ago, we hired a part time assistant to help with the mechanic-side of facility management. We're angling to get him on full-time come january. He'll take over the mechanics and utilities, whereas my focus will shift to include managing all front-end presentation, rentals, and event coordination. I'm nervous as hell about it, but also stoked.
The job didn't come without challenges, though. I don't act nearly as much as I used to; the last show I did was Rumors in 2023, and I do not anticipate doing any shows during the 2025 season. I really want to get my job flowing smoothly before i throw in the added stress of memorizing lines, blocking, etc. Also, I am working long weeks with no full days off. This coming Sunday will be my first full day off (barring any theatre emergencies) that I have had in about 2 months, and my weeks average in at about 50 hours.
All things considered, though, I love it.

Getting back in touch
Posted 11 months agoWith my recent dwelling on the past, I found myself wondering how / where some folks are. I've never been good at keeping in touch, and with the rate at which things change in life, it's easy to lose track of communication. So, in case this finds you and you're interested, these days I am easiest to find on Telegram. There are probably thirty-teen more popular messaging services, but Telegram is where most people who chat with me do so. That and texting. Incidentally, my number hasn't changed in forever, so if you had it back in '05, you have it now lol.
On Telegram, I'm FlippantMoniker And while I may be slowish to respond, as part of my job, I have my phone on me *all* the time. (The price of management)
(Also, don't look for my old, old name. You'll find a douchebag Trumpster lol. That dude is *not* me lol)

Beginnings, Middles, and Endings
Posted 11 months agoTomorrow, my D&D crew and I come to the end of a storyline that has been decades in the making. Aspects of my D&D world date back to the very early '90s, and while they were formative to the world, I think I am ready to bury them for good. All of this has gotten me thinking about the past, wondering where some people are these days, what the future holds...
I could go on for hours about all this, but I've decided to make a few small journals, rather than one big rambling one. Maybe keep them more useful that way.

Virtual Windchimes
Posted a year agoI made a little program that simulates windchimes, kinda, and fills the screen with bursts of color. It's pretty chill and relaxing, or at least it's intended to be. It's not really Furry, perse', but it's something I'm kinda' proud of.

And the next big silly idea
Posted a year agoI woke up from a dream told in comic-book / storyboard format. Of course it inspired me to come up with a webcomic or something that will never see the light of day (because I lack the comic-drawing skills). I wrote down the storyboard script anyway, though, because I was really charmed by it. The schtick is that all the dialogue is spoken in symbols rather than words.
The story revolves around a goat character who appeared on a whim one drunken evening. His name is Capra, and he's a middle-aged stage actor and singer. He aspires to very little, and just loves his life.
His appearance inspired me to ponder playwriting. Perhaps on another drunken evening, a muse shall whisper dialogue into my ear. Who knows?
Anyway, That's what I'm up to. Oh yeah, also, I'm going to be dropping a little chill-nongame on Itchio on Wednesday. it's not really related, but didn't need a whole post of its own.

First, a little bit about the job.
Posted a year agoSo.... Around this time last year, I started working for the local Community Theatre. They brought me on as bar and concessions co-team-lead. It was part/part time, but a hell of a lot of fun.
Well, in November, I came on full-time as the facilities manager. Full time. as such, I put my streaming (and everything else) on hold, because my weekly hours went from 12 to 50+. In January, my duties as rentals manager kicked in. So.. whufff...
Here's my job in a nutshell: Make sure the building is clean and secure. Make sure everything is safe and operational. Contact cleaning / repair / inventory pros when need be, make whatever repairs I can, and run concessions restocks as needed. Process rental inquiries and arrange for events, including hospitality, concessions, tech needs, bar needs, and helping arrange concierge service when needed. I am in charge of our cleaning crew, and we will be interviewing for a mechanic assistant.
In my time at the theatre, I have acquired a great wine rep, streamlined bar and concessions, forged strong relationships with our volunteer support organization, and updated our rental policies. I have nearly doubled bar and concessions profitability, and have overseen three smashingly successful and profitable rentals.
I love this job.

Keepin' on, Keepin' on
Posted 4 years agoThis world is a mess. lol
Oh well. Nothing we can do but keep on keepin' on. So, I lost my job back in May last year (2020), and Greggest and I have been making do on our savings since then. What with the pandemic (and the **massive** blow getting fired delivered to my self-esteem) I've been focusing on glass, soap, and learning to code. It's been a ride.. a slow, crawling-out-of-the-gutter ride (lol).
I won't blather on about the details.
But I'm doing a lot more crafty stuff these days, and wanted to pop in and share what I've been up to.
I hope y'all all are doing well!
Blessings to you!

Starting a new project
Posted 6 years agoSo, lately I've been studying game developing and the like, and I've started a new project. SO, I figured I'd make a Twitter account, and a tumblr, and an account on a game sharing site and stuff. So, here are the links (mostly so I don't lose them)
Twitter: https://twitter.com/FlippantMoniker
Tumblr: https://flippantmoniker.tumblr.com/
GameJolt: https://gamejolt.com/@FlippantMoniker
Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/flippantmoniker (Yeah... I never expect to stream on this, but I'm there too.)
Other than that... I haven't touched glass in a long time. I'm still working with animals. Manager now. I've not been writing or drawing much at all, but I intend to get active again.
Anyway, that's all I can think of to say right now.

Life goes on
Posted 8 years agoNew job, working with animals. Haven't really worked on glass in a couple of years. Greggest and I are married, living in a house, got a dog. All domestic and crap. Life's pretty good.
Four magical years
Posted 12 years agoI don't know if I'm a very sentimental guy. When I think about reaching out with my feelings and emotions, I get to feeling like the expression will just fall flat, or only attract negativity. So, I tend to just keep things to myself.
This is just habit, of course. Four years ago,
Greggest came into my life, and I have been un-learning a lot about myself and the world around me. Greggest pulled me out of my doldrums--out of a very dark and poisonous place--and helped me get back on my feet. Since then, life has only gotten better and better. He encourages my crazy and random projects and unpredictable ideas. He helps keep me centered and grounded while at the same time encouraging me to dream and create.
I'm truly blessed to have Greggest in my life, and I am delighted to spend my future with him. When it's finally legal, or when we settle somewhere that it is, I'm gonna marry this man.
Happy four-year anniversary sweetheart.

If you've read Piggy Moto, please read this!
Posted 13 years agoI need help getting onto SpecFicPic! Hey everyone! I saw this site mentioned over on Twitter. It's a webzine that features Speculative Fiction eBooks, where authors can showcase their novels. I was looking at the requirements, and All-Star-Boar-Band can fit there. The only hitch is this: I need at least 5 Amazon reviews with an average rating of 4 to 5. When I last checked amazon, I had 2. I need your help! If you have read my Piggy Moto novel and enjoyed it, please go over to the kindle store and write me a nice review. It's only going to take a couple moments of your time, and you will be helping me immensely. Here is the link to the Piggy Moto Kindle version:

If you enjoyed Piggy Moto, then please head over and give it some love on Amazon.

Life is good.
Posted 13 years agoI've been feeling really good lately. Greggest and I have recently gotten back into town, and I have been spending a lot of time working on my editing. as of right now, I have only eleven chapters left to edit, and then it is time to start formatting. I am extremely excited.
Writers write.
Posted 13 years agoI'd post more vis art, but it's all been non-furry.. Decorated bottles and stained glass and stuff.
Piggy Moto, the project is complete!
Posted 14 years agoWell, I finally completed the Piggy Moto podcast (actually, a couple of weeks ago). There were some bumps, but it's all done now. Some good friends helped me figure out a problem with the episode order, and I finally got that fixed, so now they play correctly. The novel came out in print a few months ago, and from what I understand, FurPlanet will be releasing the e-version soon. Recently, one of the guys over at Flayrah reviewed Piggy Moto, so if you're interested in that, you should go check it out. Otherwise, ratings and reviews are coming kinda slowly, so if you've read the novel or listened to the podcast, I'd be much obliged if you could stop by FurPlanet, Amazon, and/or Podiobooks and give me a rating and a few words. Any input is helpful.
I'm not sure what my next project will be, whether it will be Furry or not. Of course, I'm doing NaNo this year, and I'm writing this manuscript to be audio-ready. It's not really furry, but it does have an anthro dragon in it. We'll see. Here are the links:

Food Meme thingy
Posted 14 years agoWhat was your favorite food as a kid?
My food preferences always shifted around when I was a kid.. My family was Military, so we did a LOT of moving. I can remember Teh-Lurving Schnitzel, Escargot, Pizza... But, I think the foods that really excited me throughout childhood were Artichoke and Fondue.
What was the first food you learned how to cook from a package?
Top Ramen
What was the first food you learned how to cook from scratch?
Hmmm... uuuhhhhmmmm.... probably scrambled eggs.
How did you discover that you had a "passion" for cooking?
Uhhhmm... I opened my eyes? I woke up? Seriously, i don't ever remember NOT having a passion for cooking.
What do you remember about cooking and food from your childhood?
Food is an art form. It can appeal to all five senses, and the best food does.
What are your favorite foods?
Yes.... Okay. I'll narrow it down. Sushi tops my list; sake sashimi to be precise. Second to Sushi is pretty much anything fanciful and persnickety. I love to manipulate my food: Crab legs, Artichoke, Fondue, Lettuce wraps. I LOVE getting into my food and experiencing it. I Love "fantasy" foods--mundane eats redefined and presented in fantastic ways. I love food as art.
What foods do you dislike?
If it's a "delicacy" I'll probably turn my nose up at it. Not as a rule or anything; just as a gut response. See, in my experience, "Delicacy" usually means "Gross-ass-shit." french it up all you want, a cockroach is still a cockroach. Pig intestines are still poop-tubes. And Durian still smells like rotting vanilla garbage.
As Artsy-fartsy as I get with food, I have REALLY vanilla tastes.
What food is a guilty pleasure for you?
All food, in fact. I am a heavy guy, so whenever I eat, i feel guilty. I hide nothing, though. There are no secret foods that I don't want anyone to know about. There's nothing i simply can't resist. Food is food, and the overindulgence therein is my guilty pleasure.
Do you have any food allergies?
Maybe a little bit of intolerance to milk products.. but I've been testing that and it doesn't seem to be the case.
Are you omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, etc? Why?
Omni.
I don't think people need an explanation for their dietary decisions. Or, I should say, nobody owes anybody else an explanation. the "Why" can serve a curious mind, but usually it only draws a line between people. There are hoards of folks out there who think that vegetarians are unnatural fops who need to grow a backbone. There are others who think that meat is murder. You know what? Human beings are capable of digesting anything we can taste (pretty much), and we can survive on pretty much any kind of diet: Omni, meat ++, Vegan, etc. Therefore, we have the pleasure of choosing our diet. it's nobody else's business why.
I have friends who are diabetic, severely lactose intolerant, allergic to gluten, obese, underweight, picky, etc etc.. These folks have their diets dictated to them. These are the folks with a "Why", but it would be downright rude to ask it of them.
"Gee, you, why don't you eat sugar, Durrr?"
"Uh... 'cause it will kill me?"
"Oh... uh.... uhhhhhhhh....."
Yeah. Let's stop asking people "why" they are different than ourselves. Let's find a more courteous way to satisfy our curiosity. Unless you feel that Your diet is superior to other peoples', in which case, you can go lie under a steamroller.
Do you have any other culinary restrictions?
I will not eat rabbit meat.
Have you had any official schooling in culinary arts? If not, do you intend to go?
I almost did. But decided not to. I have no intention to take cooking classes except informally.
Do you cook for a living? Is your job in any way related to food?
No. I worked in a couple restaurants. I can't handle the pace.
Favorite food to make?
Anything fantastic and fun, really.
What ingredients do you use most often? Or, what could you never imagine cooking without?
Hmmm... Butter, Flour, My whole damn spice rack...
What kind of knives do you use? What's your preferred knife (style, length, etc.)?
My favorite knife is a one-piece butcher knife. It satisfies all of my cutting needs, more or less. I got it from Target.
What would you like to learn how to cook?
Chinese food, perhaps.. I'd REALLY like to know how to REALLY bake..
What's your favorite restaurant? What do you order?
Don't really have a favorite, but if I did, it would be a sushi joint, and it would be Sake Sashimi.
Are there foods you will never, ever try eating? Why?
There are many foods I will never try, and the reasons are individual to those foods. For instance, Rabbit meat. I will never eat it. The reason is: just because I choose not to.
Do you like TV chefs? Who's your favorite personality/show?
Alton Brown and Ted Allen
What advice would you give to someone who's just starting out learning how to cook?
Learn how a kitchen works. Your oven, your stove, your knives. After that, start simple. Start with something you love, and have fun.

Posted 14 years ago ... now what?
Now Available from Fur Planet!!
Posted 14 years agoin a little over a week,
greggest and I leave for Missouri, and then a few weeks after that, I fly out to Pittsburgh for Anthrocon, where I'll be signing copies of my novel for anyone who's interested. It's a crazy, crazy time for me, and pretty damn exciting, too.
The cover art (viewable here: http://bit.ly/mRkyaL ) was created by the amazing

In case I haven't gone on enough about Piggy Moto: All-Star Boar Band, here's the quick and dirty: A band of pig musicians have entered an international competition with the hopes of changing the world's unflattering prejudices toward their species. An unknown opponent works behind the scenes, however, to sabotage the event. As pranks turn bloody, the swine find that more is at stake than a good reputation.
Check it out; here's the link to Fur Planet's item page:

How furry AM I?
Posted 15 years agoGreggest found this on someone else's page and felt compelled.. now, so do I! XD
1. () Have you ever howled at the moon?
No. That's retarded. Wait, yes, I have, but only when I was intentionally acting retarded, and I do believe it was a photograph of the moon, or perhaps at some point, when I was a retarded high-schooler, I wanted to act retarded and howled at the moon. So, we'll say NO, but phantom yes.
2. () Have you ever barked at someone?
No. Not in any serious manner. I've made sharp, barking noises at dogs to get their attention and scold them for misbehaving.. but then I've taken dog-training classes, so it's not a furry thing. BUT, some of you might think of that as even MORE furry than furry, so I will say NO, phantom yes.
3. (YES) Have you ever found yourself drawing or scribbling furry art when you're supposed to be doing something else?
I must sadly confess, yes. My college notes are littered with furry doodles. So.. there is one.
4. () Have you ever worn an animal costume or tail as a child and pretended to be an animal?
Yes. As a child, I have worn animal costumes or tails and acted like an animal, yes. Such behavior is common among children, however, and does not indicate any sort of "furry" affinity in future life. So I will say NO, phantom yes, because I believe this is an irresponsible question.
5. () Have you ever eaten out of a dog bowl?
No. That is retarded. Furthermore, such behavior is more commonly associated with the BDSM community, so again, in my opinion, it's an irresponsible question for this survey.
6. (yes) Have you been to at least one furry con?
Yes. I had fun at one, none at the others.
7. () Do you like to look at furry porn all the time?
This is a pretty poorly worded question. But, even in the spirit of the question, no.
8. () Do you RP or play second life as a furry character?
Not currently no. I used to play D&D as anthro characters, and I used to MU** a lot. but these days, no. so.. No, phantom yes.
9. () Do you own a fursuit or at least a tail?
Not any more. So, no.
10. (YES) Do you know what all these words mean or have used them at least once?
This is a terrible question, because [the writer of this meme] doesn't ever cite the furry lexicon. But, for the purposes of this survey, yes.
11. () Do you have at least 5 videos of you acting or doing something furry on youtube?
Absolutely not.
12. (YES) Has your anthropersona/character been drawn in a furry porn type manner?
That is none of your business.
13. () Are you well known in the furry fandom?
Not as well-known as I used to be. But I changed my name and left that behind me. Definitely not in this new generation of "furries".
14. () Do you dream furry while you sleep?
As it is worded, this question suggests persistent, recurring dreams or at least a nightly "furry" theme. No. I do not have such dreams. As a note, when I do (rarely) have dreams in which I am not human, I am either a dragon, or a werewolf. So, I fear that earns a phantom yes.
15. () Would you transform into your character/fursona if you were given the chance to live like that for the rest of your life?
No.
16. (yes) Have you ever worn a collar?
Much to my absolute disgust, yes I have. I was young and extremely stupid at the time, but yes. As a side note, however, this behavior is much more commonly associated with the "goth" or "BDSM" communities. Sadly, in my case, it was furry.
17. () Do you own more than 20 art badges of your fursonas or characters?
Not over 20, no.
18. () Have you been to more than 20 furry cons in your lifetime?
No, I haven't.
19. () Do you think that deep down you have the spirit of an animal within you?
That's idiotic. No, I do not, and I resent this question, because it tries to claim this pagan notion as being "furry". Do I believe in totems and animal guides? In a way, yes. Do I believe I'm a retarded dog in a man's body? No; that's retarded. But, since this question makes no distinction between "furry" thoughts and pagan ones, I must offer (to an extent) a phantom yes.
20. (YES) Do you enjoy hanging out with other furries?
I would be an utter ass-hole to say "no" to this question. So I will answer literally. There are furries with whom I enjoy hanging out. Yes.
21. () Do you think we should have a furry run for president of the USA?
A furry existent today? Absolutely not. This brings to mind a "furry" platform, which I cringe to ponder. However, if a furry somewhere managed (somehow) to get the education and charisma to serve as this country's figure-head without making the U.S. look retarded, then sure. NOTE: Badly considered question, because some people outside the U.S. may answer "yes" to this on the grounds that they feel it would make our country look even more ridiculous than it does in the world's eyes. So.. Phantom yes.
22. () If you ever became rich would you own a room in your house that was just to display your fursuits or furry art?
No. I would not devote a room to furry arts and crafts.
23. () Is your best friend furry?
No. BUT.. depending on what readers think this question means, and depending on whether or not they feel they have the authority to label others "furry" against their will, then yes. so.. phantom yes.
24. () Do your furry friends call you by your furry name in public?
No. This question implies ALL my furry friends calling me "flippant", or my going by or introducing myself to fuirries as "flippant". however, I do have some friends who call me "flippant" or derivatives thereof, so, phantom yes.
25. (YES) Have you been in the furry fandom for at least 5 years?
I should suffer multiple points for how many multiples of 5 years that I've been a furry. So... Phantom three yesses.
Total: 6
phantom total: 17
1 to 5 = Furry wannabe.
6 to 10 = Furry newbie.
11 to 15 = Furry.

I suppose you can say that furry has hardened me.. not no in any way that most people here would like to think.

Should certain art be banned?
Posted 15 years agoIf a society deems something to be too troubling to allow, then it should be disallowed. If we play our stereo too loud in the wee hours of the morning, we get into trouble. If we whip our children with rods until it raises welts, we get into trouble. If we sell beer before noon on Sunday (in Texas) we get into trouble. These are rules passed by our society. Yes, the intellectual comfort of the (vast) majority outweighs the rights of the (vast) minority to get their rocks off.
Are these rules ludicrous and closed-minded? Perhaps. In many cases yes. But they are in place because enough of the community felt so strongly about these situations as to exert pressure on our government representatives to pass laws.
Do we have the option of "not looking"? Sure. Is pornography "harmless"? I don't know. I *do* know, however, that people become desensitized, sometimes. I *do* know that orgasm triggers the release of some brain chemicals that are also released by highly addictive drugs. I also know that pornographers often use excuses that make their "art" seem more acceptable. "It's not a child, it's a chibi elf." "It's not child molestation.. the little girl is seducing her dad, so it's consensual, so it's not bad." "This is just thematically representative of Greek History." All of this spells a growing need for ever-increasing realism in a small fraction of individuals. I know that the vast, vast majority of "cub art" fans out there would never and will never ever consider touching a real child inappropriately. However, there are cases in which a visual stimulation has become an obsession, which resulted in physical action. If a law will frustrate 10,000 cub-art furry fans, but protect one little girl from her neighbor's obsessive curiosity.. then there is no reason not to pass the law.
But, what about social identity? I've seen it mentioned a few times that not all furries want to be associated with the outer-most fringes of this community. What if an artist or author loves the furry fandom, and loves furries, but does not want the non-fur world to associate him (or her) with images of child molestation, brutal rape and murder, bestiality, and whatever else is out there? They do have the option of not looking or not participating, really, but why should they be excluded from sharing their artwork with furries and the world, just because a minuscule fraction of the furry population engages in fantasies that the majority of the world deems freakish, disturbing, disgusting and threatening?
Are cub-furs "evil?" No, not on the whole. Do they have very, very, very unpopular fantasies? Yes. Do their fantasies make others uncomfortable? Clearly. So uncomfortable that entire counties, states and/or countries have passed laws against art depicting these fantasies? Obviously. Is it right to pass such laws? I say yes. If 6,999,500 out of 7,000,000 people in an area are disturbed and bothered, threatened and worried by a form of pornography, then maybe that last 500 should consider finding a less "oppressive" place to live, or like in the case of online art communities, maybe they should make their own, private gallery, and share amongst each other, where they are SURE not to be judged or hated for wanting to see adults penetrate children, and vice-versa.
There are many artists, writers and musicians on FA who create professional-quality works. They are (rightfully) proud of their creations, and in many cases could use FA as a professional gallery to show to prospective clients and employers. They have spent hours, days, weeks, months, even years creating these masterpieces, but are, in many cases, too afraid to share their links outside the furry community, for fear of losing professional opportunities because of the presence of cub, and other extremely unpopular forms of furry art. There have been plenty of furries who have lost their jobs already because of the unfortunate sexual reputation of the fandom, and there are many more who are fearful of losing employment and more because of the over-exuberance and egocentric need for attention expressed by a very small group within this community. Banning cub art doesn't say that cub furs are evil; it merely protects a worried majority against the unpredictable reactions of the main-stream world to the troubling behavior of the outspoken few.

Relationship Thingy
Posted 15 years agoI am in a relationship with the sweet and musical
greggest, from whom I stole this thingy.
1. Who eats more?
I pretty much snack constantly, but come meal time, Greggest has, like, CRAZY eating powers
2. Who said “I love you” first?
If memory serves, we kinda' stumbled over each other, saying it simultaneously, more or less.
3. Who is the morning person?
Well, I am *officially* the morning person, but Greggest often makes the coffee that gets me going in the wee hours.
4. Who sings better?
UUuuhhhhh I dunno :P I try not to sing that often *gleee*
5. Who’s older?
Me, but only by a few years :)
6. Who’s smarter?
He's got more suits than I do, so I have to give this one to Greggest. He is by far more smartly dressed than I.
7. Whose temper is worse?
*points surreptitiously at his hubby* Heh heh. Greggest has a hot temper, but it flares and is not too difficult to quell. I have a very slow-burn, lava temper that bubbles up from my core and obliterates everything in its path. XD So, I think mine is worse.
8. Who does the laundry?
We don't have an official laundry-doer.. one of us just does it when it needs to be done.
9. Who does the dishes?
Same as previous.
10. Who sleeps on what side of the bed?
He sleeps next to the wall; I sleep next to the room.
11. Whose feet are bigger?
His. I got dainty lil tootsies.
12. Whose hair is longer?
Totally mine.
13. Who’s better with the computer?
Can I say"neither?" I guess I am, even though I know next to nothing about them, I can usually stumble my way through things with relative ease.
14. Do you have pets?
An itty-bitty bunny, yup.
15. Who pays the bills?
Both of us do. We currently have two sets of bills so, we pay our own.

We both do the cooking. We both love to cook, and we both love to eat.
17. Who drives when you are together?
(I usually try to get him to drive XD )
18. Who pays when you go out to dinner?
*we* do :) :) since we share that budget :)
19. Who’s the most stubborn?
He is. *nods* Well... In a way. He is more actively stubborn, I think. I am more passively so. But, mine just probably comes across as fickle and irritable.
20. Who is the first one to admit when they’re wrong?
I never timed it. When we make a mistake, we own up to it. We're adults; that's what adults do.
21. Whose family do you see more?
Mine. *nodnods*
22. Who named your pet?
I did, but I had the bunny for a few years before meeting Greggest.

24. Who asked who out?
Neither. We chatted, felt a connection; he visited, and we fell for each other right there.. There was no "courtship" perse' because we'd already won each other over.
25. What did you do on your first date?
Joe's Crab Shack :) it was an impromptu date, and it was a TON of fun.
26. Who’s more sensitive?
*thinks* We are both pretty damn sensitive.. He reacts faster, but I think I brood more. We actually pull each other closer to center on this. I help calm his knee-jerk reactions, and he helps draw out my toxic feelings before they can poison me.

He is :)
28. Who has more friends?
I think he does *nod nods*
29. Who has more siblings?
I do.
30. Who wears the pants in the relationship?
