There has been a delay in the production in pumping out the art, and the tl;dr is life and internet issues. However, from now mostly they have been smoothed out, and from here I am taking control of them.

I am downloading more art programs while accessing free wifi (since my laptop can't connect to my home wifi, but for some reason connects to all other wifi). The current drawing program I am using is unforgiving for detail, and isn't producing images that I feel are satisfactory in the time it takes for me to do them (several hours for several days on end, and I've been in advanced art classes for years). Maybe I just need more practice, but then again, the program is just for doodling, not ART.

Thanks for the patience and I'll still stay persistent!

I've taken the past few days to put the parts into the computer (and have the boyfriend clean it out), update the drivers and software, download programs, and it's running very well. The new laptop is cooperating I'll be starting the art today, and I'll be uploading each piece as soon as I am finished with it. Stay tuned!

The Bad News --

The bad news is that my netbook is unable to handle the drawing software that I have downloaded, from Gimp to Sai and Mischief, for it is almost 5 years old and running off of the Vista OS with only 1GB of RAM. It's a little trooper for how long it's lasted, but it keeps crashing after 5 minutes in any of the programs and glitching out and stretching my artwork. It's a real shame and I should have seen this coming.

The Good News --

I remembered about my laptop that has either a charging port or battery issue from an old moving and found a sale on Amazon, and got both for very cheap, so both will be arriving either next week or the following. I also found my long-lost scanner, so I can just create sketches and upload those to my laptop once that's all taken care of to make everything go a lot faster. I plan on just sketching out everyone's freebies while I wait then busting them out digitally once the laptop is fixed.

I apologize that my netbook is a piece of crap and I will get this taken care of quickly!

The tablet arrived! I'm currently playing around with it in various programs to see how it works and moves around, and once I find a program that works well and doesn't cause my computer to freak out, but once that happens, I will begin the freebies!

I ordered my tablet today and it should arrive on Wednesday! I will post a journal entry when it arrives and when I get started on the freebies.

Greetings to those old and new, those thought to have been forgotten and who have just been met,

Community
Two years ago I had denounced myself from the fandom due to life events. I did not partake in social events or art or anything, but the lack or friendship and expression has been a damper and I have decided to return to everyone I have missed and return to my artistic passion as well. I spent Saturday at Rainfurrest and had an absolute blast and realized it was time to be with my people again. Well, animal people again.

Identity
In light of this, despite having 100% human DNA, I am a cat. Knowing this, furry identity has been something I have struggled with since being absent in the community. I know I am a large cat. However, I feel like lion may not be as accurate like it once was upon by initial introduction to the community. We'll see. I'm still feline, but things have changed significantly and are still evolving.

Art
Upon my return, due to changes in life and income and hobbies, I plan on acquiring a new drawing tablet upon acquiring my next chunk of money. Due to life events, I have gotten out of touch, and I will be doing free $10 and under artwork to essentially "warm up" before I do commissions again. I will create another journal with all of the information there. I need to get my mojo back and I will let you all get free art along the way.

Yeah, you've read that right. I have officially declared myself to not being a furry anymore. Yes, I still like talking animals and all that jazz, but I refuse to take part in this community anymore.

Not even 12 hours after the announcement of Pokemon X and Y, I find fucking Fennekin (the new fox starter Pokemon) porn. I mean, really, guys? I know that being a furry isn't supposed to be about the porn or fetishes or whatever, but I refuse to be an active member of a community where everything that is a cute animal or something will have a vagina. CHIBI-TOONS
These little guys are drawn in one of my 5 art styles. I call them chibi solely because their heads tend to be larger, but they are also toons because their eyes and bodies are not drawn in anime style.
All chibi-toons are drawn and cut out of 2.5inx5in cards (larger sizes available upon request). All chibi-toons are full-bodied and will be laminated.

Each additional chibi-toon, if part of the same order, will become half-priced per additional toon.

Today, I was asked a very awkward question:
"Why did you chose to be a lion?"

For me, I couldn't answer right off the bat, and I most certainly couldn't express her history through a text. I also have this awesome thing where I can't just tell someone exactly how things happen about myself, so I figured poetry would be the good beat-around-the-bush yet straight-forward answer I needed to give.

And although I wrote it for my friend, I think it would be beneficial to share it here.

How Leoa Came To Be

In the midst of enigma, origin of teenage mind
Comes a shrouded whirlpool of emotion, derived
From a lack of affection, physical and mental
Attachment created subconscious images and
Person, sprouted from the action determined by
The way my chest would heave and how I would breathe
That it was indeed foreplay, but
The play turned to hate and the hate was targeted
To where the depression and remnants of love first began
While the emotion stayed the affection strayed
And even the foreplay was given a face and a name.

But before figure had a face and a name
A predecessor to it came to enter the fray
Of the mind and the whim that was acted upon
And turned whispers into shouts about
Solitude, sanctity in solidarity to the point where
You couldn't even recognize the fact that
The only ones that cared weren't even there, even
One that wasn't even existent at all
But his existence came to be and so did hers
Creation stemmed from what I should become.

One inhale, one exhale
And the physical embodiment of his opinions
Morphed with mine to create such a

But is tucked away, birthed by both the
Positivity and negativity of her father, a
Figure of the memories that I shared
With the one who only fed me despair

That he bred to express my love for him
Now used to express my thoughts of independence
Promoting the predecessor's ideals of staying to myself.

And here I stand,
Neither who I am or should be nor am I
The lion of who I was encouraged and almost forced to
Become, pressured my the man in my mind
And by the memories of the man I left behind
So now I express her, the goal and existence of her
Through the talents that I have been blessed with
Either with the images I create or the words I speak
And morph her with my image of me
In a failed attempt to become what is something
That can only be separate from me
And in order for me to fulfill what has been created
I'd have to annihilate myself in order for her to be freed.

Today, my mom said I could get a wheelchair, but that I would have to buy it off Craigslist, since, well, we are both cheap like that. Of course, it has to come out of my bank account, and I need that money for other things when I move out this April.

I feel so old, you know? Taking too many damn meds, looking for a wheelchair, applying for SSI (social security income), complaining bout how I know when a storms gonna hit cuz I can feel it in my bones. My sister says I am well on my way to becoming 85.

I'm sick and tired of feeling old. And I feel old for feeling so damn tired. Oh well. I found a wheelchair for 40 dollars, and I sent an email to the person selling it, I hope I get a reply :3
