I took the week off due to my pupper passing, and my wisdom teeth being pulled out. So, this year has been hard on everyone. I'm no exception, and I usually keep most of my private matters to the minimum but since orders have generally taken longer to send out more than I'd ever liked I think I should explain and apologize. I hope you all understand and genuinely I'm sorry.

In the beginning of the year, I had a few family friends, as well as family die - most likely due to covid reasons but wasn't labeled as such due to their less-than-stellar health stuff.

So the last 4? or 5? months has been wrought with one thing after another. A slew of family matters to start, a LOT of my family being sick, then my main work computer had ate itself, so losing everything, so rebuilding all my work and finding all my notes on where I was, restarting all the commissions I had due at the time. Shortly after, I got the funds I needed to build the desktop I'd worked on getting for like, 2 years, so spent time dealing with that (along with fixing the laptop that ate itself), to avoid that issue again, only to be hit with some level of sick that lasted several weeks. That shit was horrible, to say the least. My family ended up sick again, (which means I take on helping with the house more) and less time for work. Obviously all this is a mental strain and I'd like to say I have good mental health, but I don't. I'm medicated for several reasons for mine and all of this has put a huge toll on me, physically and mentally.

Normally around this time of year I'm prepping funds for winter, like getting money for wood to heat the house but I've spent the majority of it keeping the house afloat and my sanity. Within the last two weeks, my doctor didn't prep my refill for my medication - as we agreed on last time we spoke - and so when I called it in they put me through the usual American Health Care System™ and gave me the ring around. Which, my meds give horrible side effects when I don't have them, ontop of my normal shit. So whoosh to any sanity or work ethic. I always feel like I'm apologizing these days and I'm sorry for that too, honestly. Add in my general unwellness of day to day (I get chronic migraines, multiple times a week, and some women-related medical issues) and you get someone who is striving to stay awake or focused long enough to type this without wanting to crawl back into bed into a pile.
Honestly my back hurts so much right now it's unreal. This weather makes me a fuckin' granny. It's so dumb.

Pudge - my dear beloved dog, has really declined in health as well in this last year due to her age, she's not so far to go over and beyond, but she's taken a good chunk of care that takes up a lot more of my time, she's losin' her little pug marbles in the head, ontop of needing more expensive dog food due to her lack of teeth and joints hitting her in her age. I've been having to buy extra stuff to help (which I'd do gladly) but it does take his toll/strain on time and finances ontop of everything, let alone the lack of sleep I get from her middle-of-the-night yowling fits where she forgets where she is or such. She's happy and still good, but she has some lost-my-marbles moments, I guess. It's obviously a struggle.

The last weeks have also decided to hit me with insomnia - likely due to stress, and I'm getting maybe..10-15 hours a week in sleep. ZOMBIE. JUST. ZOMBIE.

But, honestly, what made me break the camel's back and write this, was I heard just an hour ago my cousin died, likely due to malpractice. His brother is demanding an autopsy and the family is tore up. He was the first grandkid out of the generation and was genuinely liked by about everybody. Which is a bit difficult to do as you guys know in family matters. People fuckin' nutty. I don't admittedly have all the information on this one but I liked him too so I'm a little numb and exhausted to probe for details that genuinely wouldn't change anything. My mom will likely fill me in later but she loved him to pieces so it wasn't something to pry into.

So, with my sincerest thanks on your patience, I'd also like to sincerely apologise for all the waiting and would hope you would understand just a bit longer as I process and try to work through my queue. I should have a few things uploaded in the next week that I finished this week if things go accordingly but I'm frankly damned exhausted so I'll see what I can do.

Had the idea, let's see how this goes! It'll be more like a FAQ checklist than a proper how to (there's youtube tutorials for that!) but it may help you if you're like, new and confused.
Let's get started!

• Are you having trouble putting your textures onto your non-applier parts? Never used SL before appliers?
➼ Find an area that you're allowed to rez and rez whatever thing you're trying to texture on the ground. Depending on the item, you can either
A. Right click, edit menu, and go to the "Texture" tab and drag and drop from your inventory into the square box, and it'll texture everything OR
B. Drag and drop the texture in the specific area you needed, instead.

(sandboxes are the best bet to rez worry free - I suggest this one, it has a sandbox, a great view, and a mall. Along with my store to boot! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondli.....una/127/127/31 )

• Have no friggen idea what the hell Bakes On Mesh (BOM) is? Don't know how to use it?
➼ BOM is essentially using old skins/default items and reusing them to mesh. It's better to use it - so use it if you can! It also makes it super handy to apply stuff without having sixteen installers from Omega Systems. You need one, and it's free.

➼ As for how to use it - (for furries specifically here) You use the link above, put on your "default"/BOM skin, click the applier, take off ALL ALPHAS, not your body (mesh body) alphs but the ones that hide your ugly pre-mesh self. Take them off. Free yourself of them all! Click the applier above that you received, along with wearing your skin as I mentioned, and it should apply if you've got everything properly. NOW this is the part that is furry specific, you're gonna be like, "But fluuuff what do I do about my furry head that's getting rudely interupted by Ruth's face??" you will have to wear ONLY a head alpha. PS: With BOM it means you can wear a lot of tattoos at once, have fun, punks!


• Oh man Fluff, I need a quick pose stand on the fly, so I can edit while I don't go home, how can I??
➼ If you're using firestorm, you'll love this. Go to avatar in your menu uptop, scroll down the list, and right under 'Money Tracker' there's a pose stand option. No more runnin' home all the time to just fix a tiiiiny thing when you're really into that conversation with your friends. Fuck yeah.


• Someone looks squished and I hate looking at it, and they won't relog, how can I try to fix this?
➼ This will fix the same problem for yourself if you're lazy like me and hate relogging, but right click your name tag (if using it for yourself), go to appearance > reset > skeleton & animation.
➼ As for fixing them, go to right click more > more > reset > skeleton & animation. Tada, no more squishy deformed bullshit. Hopefully, anyway. This doesn't work 100% of the time but will at least fix it most of the time.


• Why would I ever want bento hair? Why is this even a THING?
➼ Quite simply, it just lets you restyle your hair on the fly. Less fussing with fitting 4-5 hairstyles if you've already got a head shape that works, the huds (if you have a good one!) will let you change what it looks like, for example if it's a long hair it could go from behind your back, to split around your shoulders, or even in a ponytail, all within a hud. Handy as hell and will match texture wise for better "realism" to boot.


• What is the difference between animesh and bento?
➼ I won't get into the technical for this, but in lay mans terms, bento is rigged and non-moveable, but you can wear multiple of them on SL. They're both (animesh and bento) well animated and better counterparts to flexi/sculpt/previous variant of animated items in SL. As for animesh, you can only wear one (unless you're premium) so you want to save this for something you need to wear ontop of a bento slot. Say, for example, you wear a scarf that uses the "wing" bones (where wings use and are rigged) but also want to wear wings, you'd use one of them as animesh, since they'd scream at each other and not work if you used both as bento. Animesh is basically a "move freely" and fix for wearing two bento items at the same time.
➼ Also as a side note, animesh is also very good for NPC/pets/babies/ect for the future use of SL. This is an entire other foot though, but it should be noted animesh is used for more than JUST wearables, and is a very good thing to have for this specific purpose.


•My bento furry head is smashed and horrible, and the reset skeleton doesn't work!
➼For all that is holy, and isn't, please wear the shape that the head comes with. You can adjust your body proportions easier than fixing your head to the proper numbers - so PLEASE just use the one it comes with.

•My ears are bento rigged, but they're too small how can I change the size?
➼ Typically they have a few size options, I typically pick the smallest and then go to Appearance > Edit Shape > Ears > Ear Size.

•Why does SL scream at me sometimes that I can't rez in a place I know I can?
➼ Because physics (mesh specifically) argue sometimes and it's just SL Problems, but if you want to fix, put down a general prim, then rez your object. Fixed!

• What is an easy fix to make sure my eyes don't pop out of my furry head?
➼ Technically there's two answers, but the quickest one I've got for you is to use this: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/.....h-Eyes/9218098
➼ Other options are buying eyes that fit SPECIFICALLY to your head, and/or are rigged to the head you have. That's of course if you don't want to edit and screw them up, these are usually the best options to do for little fuss.

•There's so many body options! Which is the best??
➼ Honestly this is mostly a pissing contest question, but in the end you have to demo them out to figure out which you like best. Each body in SL comes with pros and cons, some have more furry support than others, but then others might have more clothing support with less furry support - you get the idea. You have to weigh your priorities, especially on what you find furry-important to have, along with your own ideal of a body shape.

•Why don't creators make X thing for X body I use?? They've already made the item!! I want to wear/use it!
➼ Quite simply, time is a big factor, along with not paying off for the investment to do it. Your body may be your favourite, but it may not make fuck all for sales, which is a big motivator to make something unless the creator just enjoys making stuff for X body to begin with. You can always ask that person politely if they'd be interested, but be ready for a NO at all times. There's too many things out there to be made for, and a creator can't fit to everything. You want something, be prepared to put the money behind it if you're serious, some people do take commissions for that sort of thing, but as I said. expect a NO at all times.

•Why are people upset at the 10% hike for marketplace cuts?
➼A lot of people rely on SL income for real life, it's not a hobby for them, and you'd be just as upset if someone took a pay cut from your pay check out of the blue. Regardless to how little you may think the amount is, to someone else that may be a lot of money for them. This is a heavy topic overall, but be respectful, creators are the reason you have content to use in SL.

•Why do creators want reviews so badly?
➼Because it affects their visibility on marketplace, if you like something, please review it. Besides giving a morale boost (we're human and like knowing people enjoy our content!) it also gives us insight for future work. Artistic license and all. And, as a note, PLEASE MESSAGE A CREATOR BEFORE LEAVING BAD REVIEWS. Near always will someone help you, and use notecards.
➼ If you don't know how to make a notecard, right click in your inventory and you will send "New Notecard" - the rest should be pretty given, but as a rule, leave your username (the name you login with) as the title, and put in your issue in the actual notecard.

•Why does some places talk about script usage?
➼Quite simply, lag. The more script usage you have, the more likely you are affecting other people. You always want to try to keep your script usage low, it's your own duty as a SL user to maintain that. Don't keep vagina/nsfw/dick huds on when you're not fucking, remove those crazy magic huds with particles, make copies of stuff that have scripts in them, and remove the scripts in those if you're able, if you have resizers in stuff that don't need them anymore, remove those. Everybody wants to have a good secondlife experience, but not everyone has a 3k computer for it. Be kind, remove those scripts when you can. ♥

•I just joined SL, is there any kind of social etiquette I should know?
➼ Surprisingly, yes. Never overstay your welcome at someone's house, do not bump into people or bother them while they're editing their avatars (or objects/items), wear your lowest complexity avatars to events/heavy traffic areas/popular stores, and do not get angry if someone bumps into you in a public place. People often times have "friends only" on - which is a feature firestorm offers to let you see only your friends, which is handy for a low-lag personal experience. 99% of the time someone does not see you, and they mean you no disrespect.
➼ Also, if you want to know how to use friends only, go to "World" at the top of your firestorm and scroll ALL the way to "Friends Only" at the bottom. Click and done!

•Fluff, I LOVE this ear/tail/item but the animations suck, what can I do?
➼ You can use other animators (long as they're bento) with each other 85% of the time, just wear both, hide the one you like the animations from, and it'll animate your sucky-animated object.
➼ You can also do other methods of this, but this is the easier method. Remove deformers/unlink them if there are any, most of the time you won't need it unless specified.

Hiya!
I can't sleep, and I had an idea of helping you guys out! I'm going to make a master list of updated items for furries. This won't be the cleanest list, but it'll do the job. I'll try to semi-regularly update it as new things come out. I know it's difficult for some people to find things on marketplace, so having a master-list of items could benefit us both!

I'd like to clarify with you - those who have no idea, or haven't textured before. So I'm going to make a FAQ. Anything asked is fair game - long as it's about my business.


1. Do you work on the SL body/SL UV's?
A: Yes I do. It's different from other bodies - for those of you unaware, so if there's ever a commission to "transfer" a character from kemono or such, it is vastly different, and extremely complicated to those bodies.

2. Will do X thing?
A: I will likely do anything you ask, long as it's paid appropriately and within my TOS.

3. Can you recreate someone else's mod (with their permission?) on another body?
A: YES I CAN. However, you HAVE to remember - my style and the other creator's is different, along with the body WILL make your character different than what you're used to, that includes texture challenges that will vary from what I'm texturing.

4. Do you texture mesh genitalia?
A: Technically, yes. But I am not keen on doing so, it incurs a fee - if the bits allow texturing editing. Check if yours does!

5. Will you help put my avatar together?
A: Yes, but there IS a fee. You HAVE to tell me you need the assistance so I can calculate it into price. Please don't assume that I offer it as part of the commission, as it often takes 2-3 hours to assist you for this depending on how quick you are at learning what is needed.

6. Do you have a terms of service?
A: Yes I do - if you intend on commissioning me I suggest reading it, as I will hold up to my policies.

7. When you do customs are they exclusive?
A: Yes if they're characters, or if asked. If I sell a "public" version of your commission, you still have a exclusive version (I always have something that only YOU have on your order, and not on the public release.)
So if you're ever wary of not getting that "one of a kind" - when releasing publicly, you still do.

8. Why won't you make edits after I've approved stages of my order?
A: This is answered in my TOS - but, I will not redo an entire order once it's gotten past that stage, you approve them and I send WIP's for a reason. I'll be cordial and if they're SMALL edits - I am willing to add them in despite my TOS. This is up to my discretion. This holds up my commissions, business and flow when you approve despite not being satisfied.

9. Do you do recolours of other orders if there is a public version available?
A: Yes - it is usually a small fee for the time involved, but it is a cheaper alternative to buying an entire new commission if yours is similar to something already released.

10. Why is your aesthetic prices higher than anything else?
A: A number of reasons actually! First, is it surprisingly difficult to get authorized as an official seller for the aesthetic niramyth. By proxy - you get more quality out of me, compared to another seller - along with easy-to-use appliers, rather than applying directly to the body itself.
It is also EXTREMELY difficult to work with. If we break up how many textures it is just for the body, it's back/front/left leg/right leg/pelvis/right arm/left arm/right hand/left hand, and they provide no dummy to texture on either. There's a variant of smaller reasons as well, but this should sum it up nicely!

11. Do you take linden as payment?
A: Yes, I'll gladly do that if possibly, however it has a $3-4 fee as it charges me to transfer my money out and it's to cover this cost. If you order in bulk, I'll likely not charge you the fee.

12. Do you texture flexies, sculpts, or older work (pre-mesh)?
A: I do not. I strive to create things with the best quality possible, and rarely do these offer the same result that mesh does. There are RARE exceptions (for example, the chinchilla head - if there's a mouse needed or something. I will /choose/ as I see fit with this, as usually I know better alternatives.)

13. Where can I find you?

Terms of Service Summary.

The google document variation is more elaborate, you are agreeing to the one above, along with what's written below.

• Full perm textures will incur a fee – it leaves a liability of textures being improperly shared or mishandled, which can reflect negatively on me – as creator – if misused.
• Full perm textures also mean you are willingly aware of these consequences and no personal responsibility of where your textures end up is acknowledged on my behalf. Manage your files accordingly.
• NO editing of my textures of any kind. If you need edits, I will provide them. What I consider to be heavy edits will require a fee. Small ones I will be happy to assist you with at my own discretion.
• If editing is found without my permission, you will be immediately blacklisted from requesting any future content from me and placed at risk of similar treatment from other artists who think similarly within any possible peer groups.
• I work off an approval system, if you have accepted a WIP, I continue on with the work until it's finished. Once those approvals are agreed on, I will not go back and work on that portion of the order.
• I have set standard pricing, but depending on the complexity you may get higher than expected, or even lower. It’s what I’m comfortable with and the level of complexity within the request.
• I don’t charge by the hour, which means you get cheaper rates, but also means the difficulty and pricing is up to what I feel is negotiable and reasonable for my service.
• I VERY rarely will work with sculpts and flexi-parts, this is something you can ask directly and will vary from item to item.
• I do NOT offer custom mesh from myself, so if you need that it will be a collaboration between myself and another party and you’ll have to pay them as well for both of our work.
• I don't allow high-level nitpicking of my work, I'm providing a service you're paying for, if you want the exact detail, do it yourself, or allow the edits I offer.
• If you try to rush me, you will either get a less than desired work, as I will finish it to get it done, and you will accept the results, or you will wait the allotted time. You're allowed to ask questions, but if you try to bribe me - you will get what I finish.
• Turn around time will vary on commission and amount of queue on-hand, but I can deliver same day in some cases. If you want a rush order, I will provide it on the terms of it being paid for that rush delivery.
• I by no rights have to help you put your avatar together, but I’ll be willing as long as you’re willing to pay for time, or work with me for what I’m allowed to do.
• I take snapshots of the work I put onto SL into FA. It’s my portfolio for future business.
• I can’t always quote you immediately on a commission, and I will provide it when I’m able. Some things I’ve not modded or textured before and I have to figure out if I’m able, willing or if it’s right to charge you for something I may not be able to do within the quality I wish to sell for.
• I’ll charge less if you let me sell a version of your mod to the public if I’m able to see it would be sellable for public. All my customs however will still be unique as I take stands in letting a customer have something of their own if it’s a custom piece.
• Some avatars will be cheaper than others on pricing, as they’re plainly simpler to texture, less seams and overall better to work with – check my pricing ‘guide’ if you’re unsure, or message me personally.
• PLEASE talk clearly and concise in what you want. I don’t want to try to pry the information out of you when you’re coming to me for a request. Know what avatar you want, the markings, the parts, any and ALL information is required or at the bare minimum as much as you can give.
• All commissions must entail a devkit for the parts you have, whether I have them myself or you make sure they exist, it is not upon me to make sure each piece has a kit if you come to me with your parts picked out.
• Refrain from speaking to me as if you’re a child with baby-speak, or overly familiar. We’re on a business standpoint of things and I wish to keep it as such while payment is involved.
• If I’ve finished more than 50% of the work you are by no rights entitled to a refund. I only charge half upfront, which means I’m already putting 100% my effort in for half payment originally, and I should be paid for the work I’ve shown, offered and in every sense delivered till that point.
• You’re allowed to pay full upfront. I will not stop you in doing so – I do not take payment plans besides half upfront and the rest after.
• If you pay in Linden, you will pay the (typically $3-4 dollar) transfer fee in linden as a extra. I’m losing money otherwise when I accept in linden.
• Tips are very appreciated – I’m always glad to know my work has provided you satisfaction, but by no means are required.
• Refunds will will always have a clause of two weeks - I cannot pull money from thin air, and as this is my livelihood, I use the funds for things I need in my life.
• I charge tax on all my orders - the required amount for my state, 6%.
• I fully reserve the right to deny you service for any reason I see fit.
• Ordering from me means explicitly acknowledging these guidelines and it is your responsibility as a customer to familiarize yourself with these terms. Ignorance to my terms of service are inexcusable at any point after payment is rendered.
