There's another long pause.
"...Are you real?"
I think for a moment.
Then slowly, I shake my head.

Yesterday--
Posted a month agoAll my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday
There was a lot of whacky shit in the news all at once, and people got riled up easily as per usual. Even I fell for it, venting to a friend about how tired I am (and likely we ALL are) of the constant stupid news, biased news, and also shit pressed to make people more and more divided.
We had:
- Nepal's government collapsing in riots.
- Israeli strikes on Qatar + threats of more violence from Netanyahu.
- Poland being probed by Russian drones, sparking calls to action.
- More bullshit in France (status quo, really).
- A 13 year old found with ideations of school shootings, and many guns (Texas).
- Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. school shooting.
- Charlie Kirk's assassination.
- A daycare in Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada, hit by a car, killing at least one child, injuring many more.
- An 8 year old killed in a gang-related-violence incident in Toronto, Canada. The shooter was also just a teenager.
And many, many more. This is only the stuff we know of, after all. We don't get to know about what goes on in places without news, or what happens silently underneath our noses.
Despite all this, just remember: NOTHING EVER HAPPENS!... Until it does, in which case you will be certain of it. Just take it easy. Remember that getting caught up in the zeitgeist can be a terrible torment.

[VN] I just finished 9:22
Posted 5 months ago9:22 is a completely free, furry visual novel created by
cockhole. You can download it at https://cockhole.itch.io/9-22 . Without spoiling the plot, I am going to give my opinion on this VN.
9:22 is a mess! An amazing mess, but a mess nonetheless. This mess however, adds to the story in a way that somehow ties it all together (for the most part). As I read the story, I kept finding that I couldn't place a succinct timeline together in my head. There's a very good reason for that: the story deals a lot with the multiple-universe theory, particularly about mirror-worlds. I cannot delve too deep into how this plays a part in the story without ruining the whole thing, but it is very intriguing how it confuses you yet keeps you engaged. By the time I had gotten not even halfway through, my head was hurting from all the convoluted temporal shenanigans. This just drove me on to finish the story, however.
Now for the bad parts! I found that the romance sub-plot was heart-wrenching, and there is no satisfying end to it whatsoever. Additionally, all the characters are left on a cliff-hanger, sans epilogue. There is no attempt to wrap up loose ends. I cannot tell if the author intended that we never get to learn about what happens to everyone after the story's main plot concludes, but due to the author's somewhat elusive nature we will have to wait and see if a sequel will be made. Honestly, I really hope there is a sequel, or at least a fan-made epilogue. The characters are so well developed, yet we never get to see their fate, and it ruins the ending a little for me.
All in all 8/10. Great story, but what a brutal cliffhanger.

TW: Politics - Too much hate
Posted 8 months agoPeople are at it again with the hatred over political bullshit. The hatred seeps into other facets of life (many unrelated), and just adds to the toxicity. Perhaps, it would be wise to be less personal about your political stances. Maybe listen to other peoples' point of view, or hear their argument! This doesn't mean, "agree with me, or else!". Just agree to disagree, and fight with votes. Or if you acrually want revolution wherever you may be, get more involved. Bitching online to strangers is just going to make noise. Actually add substance and/or context as to why you think someone is bad, and be constructive. If they treat you poorly for your two cents being shared, then just ignore them. The option aside from feigning ignorance, is to fight somehow, to hace a tangible result.
If you gotta hate someone with a burning passion, keep it to yourself at least. After all, if you're quiet, at least you can sneak in for the proverbial (or for some of you, literal) kill.
K now I wait for comments kthxbai

TL;DR I am being a crybaby
Sometimes I do be feeling it. I used to always feel it. It is why I am on antidepressants partially. It just spirals without meditating and taking my meds. I guess right now I feel it? Like, I am just a shit person. I do weird, unwarranted/unrequited nonsense by accident. I piss off people by misreading them. I genuinely shouldn't be allowed to talk and/or type. Sharing my thoughts is cancerous (yet here we are), as it makes other people feel and/or think negatively. Also I waste resources by being alive, when literally anyone else could be using them instead. Just sime of the shit I think 24/7, and have to drown out with cope and meditation, and MUH PILLS.

All these broke journals...
Posted 9 months agoPardon the title, but it really is sad. It used to be about 6 or 7 years ago, I'd only see a few posts begging for financial help here and there. Now every time I check my journals, people are begging for handouts. And it isn't like I can judge, because my husband and I live paycheque to paycheque.
The other issue is that with all these requisitions for help, one cannot truly differentiate between people who dug their own graves, and people who are just suffering due to circumstance. Who is who?
Just writing this at 04:13 because I can't sleep. There ya be.

Music you love
Posted a year agoI love all music tastes, and I can find something in every genre that I will listen to at least here and there. What do you like?
I am a total maggot; ai love listening to Slipknot. When I feel overwhelmed, had a bad sleep, or just wanna feel cathartic, I can just blast them. I will fall asleep to their albums sometimes. Sometimes other heavy bands, too (e.g. Battlecross, Behemoth, etc).
Stoned Jesus is also good, and I've heqrd soke Belzebong. Classic rock and OG rap are usually a hit for me, and I know a lot of the artist's names already. Rush is still my fave classic rock band. Old 80s Yugoslav Rock (.e.g. Kerber/Кербер, Генераця 5/Generatsiya Pet, Plavi Orkestar etc) and 90s Russian rock plus their Soviet-Afghan war songs are pretty cool. Моьчат Дома тоже).
Classical has me listening to Tcaikovsky's 1812 Overture in a bajillion configurations. I love Johan Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, as it is such a powerful sounding piece. Also Wieniavsky's variations on an original theme is so curious to hear on different instruments. And uhhh.... The Gymnopedies and Clair de Lune .
I could list music from almost every grnre, but it will take too long! What do you like?
