Some updates?!
Posted 5 years agoReally not how I imagined things to go on my account. Granted the year has turned out to be more interesting than any thought. Didn't even realize I've been here for over a year and never posted a thing, much less had much of a presence. Never too late to change I suppose. Found some old drawings I did a while back. Going to start posting them on here. Starting to draw again as well.
I also began writing. Well, first time writing in a long time. I always did enjoy that along with the art. Going to begin posting some stories to my page as well. Even if my artwork is a bit more family friendly and sfw, the stories, eh, not so much. They'll be a mixed bag of themes, and at times veer more into the 'adult' side of things.
I've considered changing my profile to include taking requests, or at the least trades. But I suppose that depends on whether some folks like what I post to my account. Who knows? I may end up creating something that makes others happy. Never a bad thing to bring cheer into the world at the moment.

Something else to mention...
Posted 6 years ago I'm former military(USMC). I was quite surprised when I learned there's a few furs who served as well, and serving at the moment. I think that's another reason I've taken so well to the community. The military environment can be rather difficult for some, especially when you have interests not considered the 'norm'. Fursuiting certainly falls into that category. I will say though I have absolutely zero regrets with my service. It was the best thing I've ever done, and I'm very proud and passionate of what I've accomplished. I've had some amazing experiences, and gained a very positive outlook on life along with an open mind. One lesson you take away from your years in uniform? No matter how bad things appear, they can always be worse. There is indeed light at the end of the tunnel, and hardships don't last forever.
However, I always felt hindered creatively while I was in. Again, now that it's in the past and that chapter is closed in my life, the freedom I feel is very liberating. I'm sure I'm not alone with this.
Currently I live in the high desert in California. I'm hoping to meet others who are furries and fursuiters who are close. Even if they're not close, I'm finding many events and gatherings. Even beginning to attend some. And if by chance any were former military, I do hope to meet. It'd be a wonderful connection I've never had before. If any here are former or present service members, give me a shout. It'd be great to chat sometime. Or even meet=). If you see me, feel free to say hi.

A bit more about myself
Posted 6 years ago Suppose I can say a bit more about me. I'm an artist at heart, and have been off and on for years now. I'll look to post some of my previous work to my account soon. I also write, but haven't done any in a good while. That's not to say I won't. I guess it's just the need to be bitten by the bug again. I used to rp. But that was when I had more free time.
I do love animation. All forms in fact. First love of course was Disney. But not long after I became fascinated with Warner Bros., Hanna Barbera, Walter Lantz.. Pretty much all the staples. I'd say though my favorites were Woody Woodpecker and Popeye cartoons.
3d animation will always be fun to watch, but there's something(to me) that's so special about 2d and hand drawn animation. As for what got me into the furry fandom, true, there was Robin Hood. My favorite character was always Little John. But it was so easy for me to be fascinated with any anthro characters in cartoons. The old Disney afternoon cartoon block was a staple, especially Rescue Rangers. No shame in admitting I crushed on Gadget=). But I loved the look of Chip, with the heavy inspiration from Indiana Jones. He always looked so cool to me.
My favorite Disney film will always be Emporer's New Groove. One of my happiest days from years past was when I had a picture with Cuzco. Zootopia's fine, and had me laughing pretty hard. But it's certainly not what had me discover I was a fan of the furry community. As for realizing I'm a furry, it was more admitting to myself it's okay to be open about it. But it hasn't been too difficult for me when I thought back to my love for anthro characters in media. I asked myself why I've taken to the community so well, and it was remembering my younger days. Only regret I have now is not being more curious beforehand!
So far I've been very impressed with the furry community and how open and friendly they are. I'm looking forward to making some new friends, and being a part of the fun. As for a fursona and suiting, yep, looking forward to that as well. Already have a fursona in fact, just working out the design. But I'm excited to take the next steps!
If anyone feels up to chatting, I'm game. I'm friendly, and have a very open mind. Just send me a note or shout.
Thanks so much! Cheers!
