We are going to TFF
Posted 7 years agoIt's been forever since updating this site. Really need to post all the things I made for 2017 and will try to do so over the next few months though this site kinda sux for mass picture posting. : p
So yes DVC will be at TFF this year and we have 2 tables. Won't be bringing our whole stock due to limited space and less than 6hrs total to set up everything before dealers room opens Friday.
IF YOUR WANTING TO BUY HEADS COME ASAP! our stock is limited for this show and will sell out fast on Manokit, Foam Toony heads and Skulls!
Unless I can pay my friends to watch my new puppy Brookie for Friday and Saturday I won't be able to suit at TFF this year or really hand out after dealers hours. Going to look more into it this weekend then post here and on my Twitter what I decide to do.

Posted 9 years agoDVC Will be At MFF!!! However we are only selling fursuit fans, prepainted eyes, Toon Teeth, toon Eyes, Emergency repair kits and maybe some leds. Most of what i will be doing is fursuit repairs at the table like Fan installations, teeth replacements, hole repair, tail belt loop replacement/repair, adding snaps or magnets, claw gluing, eye replacement and if i have the space shaving.
IF! a table someone becomes available thursday and we can grab it there will be a few uncut heads available for purchase and hinges. plus all other items already mentioned and fursuit repairs.

Steaming!! Finishing Tiger Mask. 8pm CT
Posted 9 years ago Working on the Auction winning tiger partial Archeus. Whole face is now sewing together plus ears attached. Tonight I will continue to glue the fur onto the resin mask and do fine shaving once it is all in place.
This is the best part of the mask making process as you get to see all the hard work finished in these last steps.

Update current stuffs
Posted 9 years agoWell we are finally starting to recover from Anthrocon. Catching up on orders and freeing up more time so i can get back into making new items and finish some home projects around the house.
I have been a bit internet quiet due to my home computer crashing back in June. Right now i have a new computer set up in my current home craft room and is working amazingly well. already have my new webcam set up, improved internet connection, picture files organized. Already did a test stream on picarto and im rather impressed with how smoothly everything is running.
Now that pictures are better organized more pictures are going to be uploaded here on FA. nice commissioned art, Photoshoots of my costumes and finished items i forgot to post before.
I will be away August 10th-17th to visit family up in Maryland/PA. There is no internet or cell phone service so this will be a nice detachment from Work/technology and the world to say so i can mentally recover from some mental stress to just enjoy nature which i deeply miss.
Once i return and have hopefully regained my creative willpower i plan to start Livebroadcasting working on costumes again at least once a week if not more.
Keep and eye on this journal and my more active Twitter account for updates on current projects and of coarse Chickens. lol

Changes on the horizon
Posted 9 years agoIts been some time since my last update.
If you have read Dreamvision Creations journals we have been a little short handed since Texas Furry Fiesta. Jobs have been moved around in the company and extra overtime hours to help adjust the work load.
This means we are still doing alright with getting out customer orders just ciara and i have become owners as well as employees to help balance the work load.
So all tutorials and new products are on hold sadly.
If you see costume updates from me here or on twitter it is either side commissions i took for my free time to complete originally when i had less work or personal projects again only worked on after business hours.
Thanks to everyone on twitter i have decided to attemp costume streaming again. I will now be on Picarto as MonoyashaDvC. Keep an eye out for future journal and twitter post for when im working on projects.

Also making a custom chicken coop for my Silkie hens and 10 newly hatches chicks. Last, working on making a whole new bodysuit for Flurry to be completed for MFF. Fursuit updates and MFF plans
Posted 10 years agoIts been a busy couple months so i have been kinda MIA from doing updates on my personal accounts other than checking messages and looking at art. For my company June-december are our most crazy months of straight work due to events and holidays.
Tumbleweed is retired for the time being until the new body is remade.
So for now i am focusing on my main sona Flurry which will soon be a fullsuit to wear around at indoor events. If you would like to see the work in progress I update my Twitter on almost a daily basis. MonoyashaDvC
Also I am still trying to attend MFF in december. I have a room to stay and transport its just trying to gather the funds with Christmas fast approaching and i want to still be able to buy presents for my friends and family this year. ^-^

DVC UPDATE!!!!!
Posted 10 years agoI might post this on the main DVC journal as well but i want to keep everyone in the loop on whats going on with orders.
Ciara Will be returning from the hospital tonight with Isabell her new daughter BUT she will no be returning to work for a couple of weeks.
VERY IMPORTANT!
For the past month I have been the one doing the clear casting, jawsets and silicone products PLUS running the shop, managing the emails/messages/shouts, Etsy store, packing and paying for mail orders. This is normally a 2 person job and could be enough work for 3. I'm not gonna lie we are a couple days behind on some orders to be mailed out but i have been doing my best to keep people informed when they ask about the order updates.
To top it off i caught a nasty cold thats been nesting in my lungs so Nothing was made for orders tuesday but i did pay for packages and im not much better today. What little bit ahead i got from working this weekend has been crushed by this cold setting me back.
Its going to be hectic here for another month until the work load can be shifted around to the point where ciara and I can be more free to run DVC and have the employees be the ones making most of the products while we supervise.
Once this takes place I will have more time to Create NEW scupts and molds and Ciara will be free to manage the websites and update photos.
Also! NO RUSH ORDERS for BLFC or any convention in MAY/JUNE We can barely keep up with the currents orders as it stands so the rush orders are not possible at this time.

I'm not gonna lie we are a couple days behind on some orders to be mailed out but i have been doing my best to keep people informed when they ask about the order updates.
To top it off i caught a nasty cold thats been nesting in my lungs so Nothing was made for orders tuesday but i did pay for packages and im not much better today. What little bit ahead i got from working this weekend has been crushed by this cold setting me back.
Its going to be hectic here for another month until the work load can be shifted around to the point where ciara and I can be more free to run DVC and have the employees be the ones making most of the products while we supervise.
Once this takes place I will have more time to Create NEW scupts and molds and Ciara will be free to manage the websites and update photos.
Also! NO RUSH ORDERS for BLFC or any convention in MAY/JUNE We can barely keep up with the currents orders as it stands so the rush orders are not possible at this time.

FWA Prep and who is allgoing?
Posted 10 years agoIts been some time since my last update. Crazy busy since TFF and now last minute we are going to FWA so now mega crunch time to complete customer orders and start stock for the next con.
So i am rather curious who is all going to FWA? its my first time going but have been to the hotel from attending Dragoncon last year. Rather excited and would like to hang with friends and meet some new ones after dealer hours.

Posted 10 years agoFinally getting back into the grove of things. Usually my streams had a designated room being the craft room but it was since been moved into the garage and go figure the heater decides to crap out right after. XP
So for now i will be streaming in my room which has a small work desk and all my supplies are downstairs. I say this so you are not surprised if i get up and leave a couple times for tools, materials and sewing.
Today i will be adding the screen mesh for the tear ducts and building up more padding on the head and neck area to really bring out the ferret shape.

Electro-paw did a fantastic job putting all the details of my character into this ref. Its a bit more toony than my normal style but i feel it shows off her personality and markings a bit better.
I am hoping to eventually finish my fursuit into a full costume as right now its still a work in progress.

Weekend planning

I only update here and there when I can find the time to spend more than 10min online browsing messages and notes.
Its going to be extremely busy here at DVC for all of October and November with the holidays and preparation for not only family events but also our first appearance at MFF with tables in the dealers room.
I'm also hoping to announce some very big new things this month so keep a sharp eye on my journals and on the DVC journals for the news! XD
The plan is to work all Saturday as it will be cold and rainy here anyways then take all Sunday off. This means Synnal and I can make the time to attend the Arlington furmeet again and plan to arrive there around 10am so we can have more time to chat with people and possible meet new peeps. I might bring my Flurry partial just for the photo real quick but dont want to wear her long as it will still be in the upper 80's from what the current weather forecast predicts.
Looking forward to a fun day sunday! ^.^

Posted 11 years agoTo anyone that has ever commissioned myself or any artist of 3D or 2D art please give this journal a read. I gotta say this is completely how i feel doing the work that I do and wish the same that people could understand how difficult it is to do the things we do.

If you really think about it a fursuit artist has to be a jack of all trades. We draw out the design, pattern each project in a unique style, sculptor, mold maker, seamstress, painter, groomer, taxidermist, sometimes engineers and create electronic configurations.
Its a lot of things to learn for one person and no one is perfect. In fact i believe ever artist is always learning new techniques and experiment to better improve for future projects. Each commission will present a new set of challenges that take careful planning to execute.
In case anyone is wondering I have been rather quiet online due to the surplus of Halloween orders since the opening of skull heads. My days and evening have been constant work to the point that i am training my employees to help out as i can not handle the lists on my own. We are doing our very best to keep your orders going out quickly.
