So, I was allowed to spend my money on a new pet...I wanted a guinea pig since I have prior knowledge handling them but it wasn't allowed since my last one had an active scent gland and I'm not allowed to have any pets that smell, are scaly are insects are birds, are cats or have rat-like tails U.U so, pretty much my only choice was hamsters.

I got two, Tommus and Theodore, both seemed very sweet and active at the shop, seemed friendly with each other being in the same cage and such.... At first when I brought them home I was eager to watch and get to know them, they have a habit of crawling up the bars sticking their little noses between them to sniff at me... so my first time getting bitten was letting tommus sniff my finger, he reached through and bit me. This has continued though changing food and attempting to give treats every time except one drawing blood.. I've left them alone, attempted to get them use to me by smell it's only been a few days but I...I'm just worried...I wanted a pet that I can handle but my hands area already riddled in bites from my new babies....I try laying my hand flat, washing my hands to make sure I don't smell of food and try to let them come to me, but each time they do it's to bite me...it doesn't hurt at first but all the bites are starting to make daily tasks hard and frankly i'm a complete softy and I've had a few breakdowns with my father being in the hospital...I just need advice and help...I'm at my whits end and I just don't know what i'm doing wrong. sorry if it's obvious and i haven't seen it please forgive me ;.;
