Apologies to people.
Posted 15 years agoHey guys, some of you have doubtless noticed that I've been a bit of a brat these days, what with clamoring on about characters and stuff. I'd like to apologize to all of you for having to deal with my immaturity. There's really no excuse for it, but I am very stressed out lately. I just wanted to say I'm sorry. And I mean it, really. Especially to Kyuu. XD
An inquiry into a great mystery
Posted 15 years agoHow, oh how, does zucchini bread taste so good? Its cinnamony goodness, its stickiness, its moistness...how do they come from the lowly squash? I love zucchini, don't get me wrong, but transforming this usually blandish veggie into gorgeous, sanctified zucchini bread is a miracle.
HOW IT WORK?
HOW IT WORK?
And the winner is...
Posted 15 years ago...anubis-kruger to color the picture of Rick that Kyuu did for me. Before I posted the last journal, I shouted on his page about coloring but honestly I didn't think he was on FA anymore so I didn't expect him to reply. XD He did, though. badbear and fdinasty, thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it a lot. It was very great of you both to offer your wonderful skills! Thank you again!
Scratch that.
Posted 15 years agoActually, I can't. Oops!
Oh, I got Dragon Quest IX the other day. It's pretty fun so far. Getting my lease straight. And I'm still doing research, etc. to be ready in the fall. I'm reading Robin Lane Fox's 'The Classical World' in my spare time. Very readable, not at all dry, yet still very informative. The shorter chapters also make it good for bedtime reading.

I see you!
Posted 15 years agoWhoever you are...I can see you now!
No more hiding!
No more hiding!
I've never done one of these before!
Posted 15 years agoI guess there's a first time for everything. So I apparently have 1775 page views. That's an interesting fact, since I don't do art. What on earth are you silly people doing looking at me? XP
You should all be looking at the great artists around here, and there are too many of them to list. That's not an exaggeration. Besides, if I left some people out, they might get upset.
Anyway, um, so...my life? Not going to go into great detail, but getting ready to start grad school in the fall (being on a quarter system is weird). Glad I got into one of my top three choices, too.
I just got Pokemon HeartGold (I know most people seem to prefer SS, but I had Gold way back when). In Cianwood at the moment, trying to level up my Growlithe and Staryu to keep up with the rest of my team. I'm REALLY looking forward to several DS games coming out, including Etrian Odyssey III, Pokemon Black/White, and the new Final Fantasy game. Of course, I doubt I'll have much time to play them starting soon, but...
As for (leisure) books, I'm reading Carlos Fuentes' Terra Nostra. This is an amazing book. You should go read it. Now. I'm also working on Norman Mailer's Ancient Evenings. This is very interesting as a mixture of magical realism and historical fiction, especially since Egyptology is my academic hobby (I taught myself some hieroglyphic Egyptian a couple of years ago). I'm also reading some Ramsey Campbell short stories!
