I really appreciate it and all of your support helps me so much. Without you I'd probably have to start looking for somewhere else to live. I was able to pay off the full amount of my rent thanks to you guys.

I am sorry I lied
General | Posted 11 years agoI am sorry that I lied, I wasn't completely honest about what i was raising money for. I am a very private person and don't really like to throw all of my business out for everyone to know. I am raising money to fix my car but all the money that has been raised so far has gone to band-aid the problem instead of fix it.
I have spent the past almost 2 months renting a car so my wife can go to work and our daughter get to school. My kids education is really important to me and she goes to a great school 25 miles away from where we live. So we have spent all of our money on the rental car and not paid very much towards our rent from last month. My wife's job just barley pays all of our bills before this added expense and Drawing for you guys is how I help contribute besides being a stay at home dad to our youngest.
Our landlord is going to file eviction papers on us if we can't pay some of November's rent by Friday the 14th. So I have added more auctions so I can raise the $800 we need to pay off what we owe for the rent.

General | Posted 11 years agoNext week I'll be taking a break from doing the the daily sketches. I've just been under some stress and for some reason these are taking way longer to complete than they are worth. Not that I have stopped enjoying doing them, it's just the time that it's taking to do them is doubling and almost tripling. So I'm taking a break in hopes to come back refreshed and maybe even figure out what the delay is.
If you are sill interested in getting a sketch I'll still take them. I'll just add you to a waiting list for when I resume them the following Monday (the 15th). Just comment below if you are interested in getting one.

General | Posted 11 years agoWhen I look at art on this site I typically use the full size link as apposed to clicking on the image. But, the new 'go to gallery' link is exactly where that used to be so I'll be looking at something accidentally click the thing and I'm all like, "whoa, where am I?"
Bleh, the design choices made here sometimes....May be a bit knit-picky but it's annoying. I can't be the only one, right?

Daily sketch update
General | Posted 11 years agoI have decided that due to the time they take to create, the quality of work that the pricing for daily sketches will increase. As of Sunday July 20th the price will change to $20 usd. I will also allow up to three characters in the same sketch for an additional $7 per character.
The format will stay the same with the brown paper look at the same size. Orientation will change depending on what's going on or if you request it. I will try to stream these when I can but my schedule is somewhat sporadic so I won't be able to come up with regular stream times.

Just got back from Anthrocon and am now back to the daily grind. Had a good time while I was there and met some interesting folks along the way! Did fairly well despite being fairly unprepared. But, enough to keep me busy the entire time.
Downers being that this year kinda played out similarly to how last year did. Sat at the table working on comms the entire time and wasn't able to attend anything. Thankfully the adjustments I made this time around allowed me to do a little less work and I was able to get almost everything done. I'll figure this out one of these years, guys. I feel like I'm not getting the full AC experience!
Thanks goes out anyone who stopped by the table to chat or at least take a look around. And to clear up any confusion the lovely lady who greeted you was kseniya I was the quiet guy tucked in the corner with his nose to the paper. Also, apologies if I seemed like I was ignoring you. I tend to severely zone out when I'm working.
The art show went well. I only came back with two unsold pieces. Next time I promise I'll have more original pieces. Probably more fully colored things. All the art there never ceases to blow me away! It's amazing the talent that we have involved in the fandom. It was nice to see allot of really strong pieces in the general gallery. The adult gallery on the other hand seemed...lacking. I know it's hard to class up some porn but we can do better, artists (me included, lol).
Overall a great time! I will be returning next year. Hopefully better prepped and not so starved of sleep!

General | Posted 11 years agoIf I were to make a comic what's a theme you would like to see? Scifi? Fantasy? Slice of life? etc.
I think I've asked something similar to this a while ago, but I figured I'll put it out there again because I'm seriously considering starting up some kind of project. It may start off with a few short 5-10 page things and maybe expand on larger book format stuff later on.

I think I've asked something similar to this a while ago, but I figured I'll put it out there again because I'm seriously considering starting up some kind of project. It may start off with a few short 5-10 page things and maybe expand on larger book format stuff later on.

Daily Sketch Hiatus
General | Posted 11 years agoHey everyone, Thank you for the amazing response to the daily sketch commissions! I have learned a lot and enjoyed doing them! As AC is nearing closer I still have a lot to do so I am going to stop doing these until after the convention.
If you are still interested in getting one done I have one spot left for tomorrow's sketch, and then any responses left after that will be the beginning of the wait list for when sketches open back up on Wednesday July 9th.

Nothing specific planned. But, I would like to.

Chubby Asian guy w/goatee and glasses. Headphones draped around neck and looking down.
Will you be suiting?
No. But I'll have a tail!
Do you do free art?
For food? Sure
Do you do trades?
I dunno. If I have time?
Do you do badges?
Yes! Even got a laminator and one of those ID card punches! I also have lanyards available as well.
How tall are you?
About average. Like, 5'7"?
Can I talk to you?
Yeah! You may have to tap me on the head. But, Sure!
Can I touch you?
Anywhere but the bathing suit area.
Can I visit your room?
Naw, room time is me time.
Can I buy you drink?
All you want.

Def.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Hug, sure. But you may have to fight kseniya for snuggs.

Badge question

Wanted to know what is an ideal size for badges. From what I've seen they can range from what you'd expect which is about index card sized to fairly large, like 8x10 in.
Made one for myself that was kinda big, about 7 inches tall, and that was borderline cumbersome. At least when it was clipped at the end of a lanyard.
What do you guys think? I'll be putting together some badge comps for pre-orders so keep an eye out for those in the days ahead.
