So... yeah. Um... hi everyone! *blushes a little*

I know I haven't been very active with posting submissions (cute stories!) lately. There's a reason behind this... back in March I obtained employment at my local Safeway store as a Grocery Clerk. Shortly after BLFC and Furlandia I was 'promoted' to Cashier and all summer it's been so busy I often work six-day weeks or sometimes have just one day off before going back to the grindstone for days. Today and Yesterday are my first two-consecutive days off in the past three weeks - and even then they tried to call me in on both days D:.

Well enough bellyaching, I'm grateful to have a job (and it pays a fair $10.60/hour). All I need to do is make sure work is greatly satisfied with my performance (meaning I take days off when I need them).

Anyways here's what I really wanted to tell you all... I wanna write a story with multiple characters in it - not just about me and Timothy and another fur... but me and Timothy with a whole bunch of furs in a fun setting. I have a few ideas... a swimming pool, an outdoor playground, an indoor adventure playground... a waterpark perhaps? I might need some more ideas from other furs who may be interested. Reply here if you wanna be in the story or just have some ideas to share!

Wow... the sun is shining brightly on the West Coast today. A definite improvement over yesterday where it rained for most of the day.
Looks like more rain in the forecast though... so that means - oh no! I gotta cut the lawn! DX

*dashes away to do that before it gets far too hot*

Timothy and Zee-Zee rode along the path together. Timothy on his beloved red bike with black training wheels, and Zee-Zee on his Tigger-themed bike with yellow training wheels. The mud had played tricks on them as usual, making them stall with their back wheels just spinning helplessly - spraying mud as they tried to ride through it. Fortunately none of the muddy water got into their training pants, though it did splatter their shorts a bit. A few pushes from their babysitter, Friendly soon got them going again.
"See! Riding a bike isn't so hard!" said Timothy to Zee-Zee.
Zee-Zee wobbled a little bit on his bike, but he was starting to get used to riding with two big wheels and two little ones instead of his usual three-wheeled trike.

"...and you're a big boy like me now!" said Zee-Zee to Timothy as they rode up to the front door. "You've only had once accident in your Pull-ups so far"
Timothy nodded. That was because that pair of Pull-ups were the ordinary ones that didn't let him know he needed to go. Now he had a pair that gave him advanced warning. As he got off his bike, he suddenly felt a cool sensation in the front of his Pull-ups - this was the advanced warning.
"Friendly! I need to go!" squeaked Timothy.
"Okay, hold on a sec" said Friendly, as he unlocked the door and opened it. Timothy rushed inside, desperate not to wet this pair of Pull-ups. Friendly shut the door and came over to help him. He undid Timothy's shorts and left him to do his business. Timothy pulled down his shorts and his Pull-ups and sat down on the potty.
A few seconds later, Timothy squeaked excitedly. "I did it! I did it! I didn't wet my Pull-ups!"
"Way to go, Timothy!" said Zee-Zee, going over to his friend as the raccoon pulled his training pants back up and pulled his shorts up over them. Friendly then tied the laces of Timothy's shorts.
"Well done Timothy. Your mommy will be pleased"
Timothy beamed happily and hugged his babysitter tightly.
"Thank you Friendly!"

The purple dragon boy looked up at the chubby raccoon, not caring to return a smile.
"Are you almost done? I need to use the potty" said Timothy
"Nope" said the dragon.
"I need to go!" cried Timothy
"You'll have to wait, training pants" said the dragon, grinning as he watched the raccoon doing a little dance as he struggled to hold himself.
"I'm gonna wet my training pants if you don't hurry up!"
"Not my problem" replied the dragon, grinning more as he saw the wetness indicator on the frustrated raccoon's Pull-Ups fading away.
Timothy felt the front of his training pants getting warm and wet and he sniffled sadly, he knew he had already soaked his Pull-Ups. He turned to the dragon, clumsily stumbling a little as his wet Pull-Ups began to sag between his legs.
"This is your fault!" cried the raccoon, pointing at the stubborn dragon, who still refused to move.
"You should go back to wearing diapers if you can't keep you training pants dry, little 'coon" smirked the dragon, sitting firmly on the potty and crossing his arms.
Timothy turned away and began to cry. It wasn't fair! He'd tried to use the potty and he couldn't! What was he to do now?

Guess pre-school didn't quite go the way Timothy had hoped.

So... I just thought I'd post a new journal because I'm bored... and I haven't written one in a little while.

Furlandia wasn't the best convention in the world by any means, but it was a furry convention and it wasn't too bad. Granted there was a LOT that could have gone better, but at least I got to do some exploring around Portland that I probably wouldn't have otherwise.

What do I really do? I make professional-grade videos of buses. XD Literally, those big hunks of steel that haul over forty people at a time all around the city for a small fare of just a few bucks. I wanted to do a Buses in Reno, NV (Volume One) during BLFC, but that con had SO much going on (and a couple other things like I was frequently tired out and it was just too hot for something like that) meant that I didn't actually film ANY buses in Reno. Shame really, but never mind.

So... anyways I've had a job since March. (Helped to pay for my two-week US excursion btw!) and just last month they promoted me to be a cashier instead of a grocery clerk. Basically this means I do much less back-breaking work for the same amount of pay. Good deal if you ask me :3. Now I'm saving up for Rainfurrest in September - my next furry convention. I certainly hope to see some of you there!


In other news, I have had a few new ideas for stories. Not many... but a cute one sprang to mind of my character Timothy helping  toddlergirl get her bike out of the mud. She's been through quite a bit of mud lately in a way of speaking, and her little training wheels keep getting stuck. Sometimes I really wish I could help furs in trouble like this.
Then just a little while ago I had another cute idea which I may get made into a commission. More details on that soon.

I am expecting some more commissions very shortly. Just being as patient as I can because I know they're gonna be awesomely adorable. Heehee.

I have reserved a room in my name (my real name, don't mess about XD) for both BLFC in Reno, NV and Furlandia in Portland, OR. As much as a room to myself sounds wonderful, it really isn't - I know this for a fact.

What I'm trying to say is... um... if you do plan on going to either BLFC or Furlandia (or both!) then feel free to send me a note and I'll send you the details in return!
I'm looking forward to attending these conventions, meeting some new furries will no doubt be a wonderful experience. I've looked at the amenities for BLFC - and it looks like it's gonna be one awesome furry party.

So... it's been a little while since I posted a serious journal - so here goes.

Yesterday my sister decided she's going to give me a haircut (My hair grows like wildfire, I only had it cut last October) and I agree - hey, it's a free haircut, what could possibly go wrong?
Sadly I found this out the hard way. Now I have next-to-no hair where my fringe used to be, and it's uneven around my scalp, so yeah.
The best part? I was supposed to have a job interview today, but due to this unfortunate event I had to reschedule it for next week - hopefully by then my hair will have grown to a point where it can be evened out somewhat by a professional.
At least now I know not to trust my sister with the hair-cutting razor again.

Anyway, now to other stuff. Here in Victoria, BC there is a little convention going on at UVic known as Tsukino-Con. I'm going to be going there since it's really local (a 1 hour transit bus ride away) and also there will be some furries there too. Also, it's  Tibolf's birthday on Saturday. I've got a good friend of mine who's going to Tsukino-Con to do a little something for me to give to him. Looking forward to that too

Also, just around the corner is VancouFUR! It's a little less local - a 2 hour ferry ride and another 2 hours on transit, but I had a total blast last year and looking forward to more fun times with friends, both old and new. Howloween was totally awesome back in November (at the same place as VancouFUR) and I really think this is gonna be just as awesome as last year - if not better.

I was also planning on embarking on a summer UK trip this year - but due to finances and also the fact I'll probably be employed (and four weeks I already want off this year for conventions) I don't think I'll be able to pull it off. Next year might be different, we'll see.

So... FC was a blast - I've told you all that much already :P

Anyway... now I've got some plans to hatch... fish to fry... whichever way you wanna conceive it, but let me explain so you don't get confuzzled. Heheh.

First... VancouFUR is just four weeks away - or a little less. I've pre-registered, I have a room booked and I believe I have room-mates, but still have to double-check with them because I don't know if they're all coming. That's the first thing.

Next... I am now planning on attending BLFC and Furlandia in the US in May - providing that I can pull it off without going massively over-budget. There's a proposal for a charter bus run by  furtherecord down to BLFC from Seattle and Portland. Which will no doubt be awesome.
Once BLFC is over I'll return to Seattle, pick up my truck from the parking lot and stay the remaining nights in Sea/Tac to indulge in my transit-related interests.
On May 9th, I'd then drive down to Portland, OR for Furlandia.

Are you - or is someone you know going to either of these conventions in the US? If so, we should talk.

Were you at FC? Tell me all about it!

So... I flew into San Jose from SeaTac on Wednesday night and met  dotx and  thatpurplefox at the airport. I had a room booked at the Ramada for Wednesday night and shared with Purplefox and a couple of his friends. Got to hang out a little as well before heading to bed. Thursday was pre-reg check in and the line was LONG! I'm just glad I had  dotx in suit to keep me entertained for the time I was in line. That night I checked into the Hilton with  californiavulpes and a couple of other furs too.

There were some furs I was pre-occupied in meeting or catching up on. Among them:  alastair,  skyan,  corranfox,  nitroshep,  malakite_green,  thumper,  fuzzyzf and  tibolf
Honestly I'd like to apologize to Tib for appearing to follow him everywhere. Most of the time we just kept bumping into each other randomly. I did have a good time though - and honestly he did make my con awesome. On Friday night I watched the dance competition and stuck around for the dance that night. When Tibolf came on as the DJ... my feet weren't content with just tapping along, they wanted to get up and DANCE, and hell they did just that! I felt so liberated... so happy... and honestly it's thanks to him.
I never saw myself as a dancer before... but now I wanna see if I can improve for the next con.

Most conventions I've left on a low note... feeling somewhat depressed - but the extra day at this con let me get over that early and I feel like I really left the con on a high note this time. AAAaah! I gotta get that con video up! *dashes away*

Wow... just... wow. Last night I went to the dance competition and watched the various dancers doing their thing. Then shortly afterwards the dances began. Once my friend DJ  tibolf came on, I couldn't help but get outta my seat and dance like I just didn't care. Things totally went well that night - well until I peaced-out at 2am to head back to the hotel room that is. I power-danced all the way down the hall, feeling totally buzzed with happiness and joy. Next thing I tripped and grazed my left elbow and right wrist... but yeah. I'm totally enjoying FC and having the time of my life - just sayin' .

Just waiting to head out to lunch now...

So... before I go on about what it says on the tin, I'm just letting people know that I have just come down with the flu a few days ago, so not been very active for the past 48 hours. In fact I spent all of yesterday in bed. I'm feeling a little better now, but still not quite well enough to be considered 'fit' to go out and do stuff I want to do.

Anyway now I can tolerate the light from my PC screen again, I'm just saying what my plans are for Further Confusion in case anybody's interested.
My truck is being sent for necessary repairs in Langley, BC next week. The front ball-joints need to be replaced, the timing chain needs a new tensioner, and the brake pads need to be changed. I have most of the parts already, which saves on costs. It is intended the truck will be ready by January 14th, when I will drive down into Washington and stay for two nights in Everett to do some bus-chasing :)
On January 16th, I'll park my truck at Seattle/Tacoma International Airport and fly to San Jose, CA, probably with Alaska Airlines, I haven't booked it yet. I still have to arrange somewhere to sleep with some other furs. If anyone is going and may have space for a friendly fox, please let me know! I can pay up to $220 to help cover the costs of the hotel room.

So... yeah, this is about what it says on the tin.

I have every intention of attending Further Confusion in San Jose, CA for the first time. However, I will most likely be driving/flying from British Columbia and - frankly, I can't afford to book a hotel room for the convention alone. I haven't pre-registered yet primarily for this reason.

If any of you are going to Further Confusion and are looking for a roomie, please get in contact with me! I'm more than willing to pay my fair share for a room for the convention, I just can't afford to book one for myself is all.
If you're not going to Further Confusion, or if you are and have no more space, please help to at least spread the word for me. I'd really appreciate it :)

So... what happens when you mix cable-tv, on-demand video, a complicated remote-control, and my mom? A whole evening's worth of entertainment, that's what ;)

Mom came into my room this evening and said: "I didn't know we got movies on our TV" and I replied: "We don't... unless you pay for them"
Turns out Mom pressed the wrong button and panicked... and ended up renting Brave for 48 hours...
So I watched the movie... all of it... and then we had a good rant about it, behaving like we'd gone completely mad, and then laughing about it afterwards.

Gosh... I never knew missing a furry convention could be so dramatic! Yeah... I didn't get to go to MidWest Fur Fest this year... finances, all sorts, you know...
Definitely going to Further Confusion in January though! Would love to talk to  Tibolf about that, but I guess he's just been too busy with stuff lately and also is now enjoying his reward at MidWest Fur Fest. If you read this buddy... just saying ;)
