Story update. I been working on a new short story. Well, a story. It's not short like the others were. I haven't typed it down, but it looks like I may split it to two parts on DeviantART. I'm not sure if it will happen, but we'll see. I will put it under mature on dA and maybe on FA too. It's not that there are any sex scenes, but . . . well, you'll read it soon enough. I'll ask someone who had mature their works on FA for similar reasons and see if I'll have to do the same with mine. I hate doing it since it'll cut down the amount of people that can read it, but I also don't want to be in trouble in FA.
UPDATE ON STORY: I had finally finished writing down the story. Let's see here on how long it is. . . . It's 8 in X 5 in College Rule notebooks with 80 pages each. Between 2 notebooks (the first one had already got more than 50 pages done) I had 56 pages of the story written. For every 3 non-dialogue pages there's 1 page on Microsoft Office Word. But since it does have dialogues in it, it may stretch it out to maybe 20 or more pages on Word. . . . This is the longest short story I had ever written. I better type it down tomorrow. Why not start now? Because I’m lazy.

In other news, to those that noticed that I'm not using my Skype account and my time on MSN are smaller, let me explain. You see, my laptop hard disk drive has started to fail. We were hoping that we could use the warranty, but they'll only accept it when it finally died. But since it's too stubborn to die, we'd decided to f*ck it and get a new one and get a hard drive duplicator so my files are safe. Now, before you get a little concern, I would like to assure you all that I'm OK and to not worry.

Though this little piece may be of no concern, I would still like to mention it. I'd deleated the AOL account that was connected to my Hotmail account because I'd finally got access to my older AOL account. Long story short, I'd forgotten not only the account password but also my security question, thus showing that I'm a retard. That's why I'd made that other AOL account: to replace an AOL account I can't access. But now I can use the older one again, so that's good. To those that want to know my AOL account, note me.

Yes, it took me this long to complete it. My opinion? It's the best main Pokémon game ever since Red and Blue. It's perfect. Well . . . if you want me to nitpick. At some points at the game there are gaps I thought I could walk through, but couldn't and the map took awhile to get use to. But overall it's a great game. My rating? 10/10. Check it out.

On a side note, my family found one of the earlier version of Fines Malum. I took a look and remembered what the characters were originally named (only one with the same first name and all of the last names were different) and there were only three main characters. Also it was written more as a personal report rather than a story and it had a prelude in the beginning (though it wasn't much probably lasting a page on a computer. XP). Why am I telling you this? I don't know.

It's my birthday today. YAY! I got a fox shirt today too. ^_^

Next I'd finally completed Donkey Kong Country Returns. Yes, it took me that long to finish the game. I've been busy. I give it a 8/10 because while it's a fun game that's back to old school style gaming, there are a couple of annoying parts in the game. One is the rails stages and two is the rocket barrel stages. You may know what I'm talking about. Though this doesn't affect the rating of the game, the ending is WAY over the top for me. Those of you who finished the game may know what I'm talking about. I don't know if it should be label as such, but I called it a big lipped alligator moment. To those of you who love old style gaming, give it a try.

To those who only watch me and nothing more or only look at what stuff I have here, you would know me as Foxgamer01, Foxgamer, or just Fox. But it’s clear that isn’t my name. Some of you know my real name, but to those that don’t, you can ask me and I’ll respond. Maybe you had already guessed my name.

I remember a conversation with one of my friends some time ago. He asked me how long I had been a writer and I replied that it was 2009 when I started writing. Though at the time I thought I fully answered his question, I now feel it wasn’t the whole story. This journal is about how I became a writer and why I write TF stories. I think it all began when I was six or younger, when I was watching those Saturday morning cartoons. I always enjoy watching those cartoons, but it was merely for the visuals. To me at the time, there weren’t any voices. In fact, I only vaguely remember what they were saying. I don’t know, maybe it was just me or it was for everyone.

In fact, I don’t remember if I laughed at them or not. Maybe I did or maybe I didn’t. But I kept watching those cartoons and they were a joy to watch.

Of course, as time went on, I listened and now I don’t watch it just for the pictures; I now watch it for the story too. I guess that’s why I didn’t watch Avatar, because the story’s shit. But enough about that movie.

As I started to pay more attention to the story, I started to imagine my own way to tell these stories, whether to put in myself in the story or to put in all of my favorite characters and myself in this one big adventure. How I put myself in the story depends on what I was in at the time. There was even a robot self. This later grew into video games with their own visuals and stories.

Of course I had never written them down. I don’t know why I didn’t write my own fan fiction. Maybe it was because I don’t really know how to put in the story in my head into paper and be sure people would get it. Maybe I could’ve drawn them, but I had left it to lack.

So, for years, that pattern repeats itself; play game and/or watch TV/movies and imagine my own fan fiction. I was happy with it, but then something that would change me forever.

On April 2, 2007, my mother died of cancer and liver failure. If you want an idea on what happened, I suggest you read chapter 10 of Fines Malum. This was the turning point of my life.

I did try to go back to the pattern, but it was badly shaken up. Around that time, I’d discovered TF art that was on the internet, especially at YouTube for the time. I rather like them, but soon I’d watched them all. I don’t know why I was so interested in foxes and kitsunes. Maybe it’s because they’re natural TFers. Maybe it’s because they’re red. Or maybe it was the animal I was interested in when my mother died.

Over time I’d discovered DeviantART and I noticed it has an abundant of TF art and stories. So after I’d saw all the TF art, I read them and I find them to be good. I didn’t join at the time because I felt I couldn’t produce anything noteworthy. The same happened at Fur Affinity.

Around the time in 2008, we had a new teacher who would have us write everyday in his class. Generally it’s about what we were reading or what we we’re doing. I guess that and reading the stories on dA really got the writer out of me since I did write some stories, but they were short and cheesy.

Then, during October of the same year, I had a dream I would never forget. You see, I was running through a hallway with several guards chasing me. I went to a room, where the only way out is through a vent that’s too small for me to fit through. I pulled out a chocolate bar and ate it. It transformed me into a fox and I went through the vent before the guards went in. I woke up around that time. This would be the beginning of the road that would lead to the creation of Fines Malum.

I did try to write a story around it, but the story chapters were too short and became cheesier by the page. So I stopped writing. I did try again, but they all seem to fail.

Then, in April 2009, one of my favorite writers on dA and FA, Greyhound1211, posted this journal (http://greyhound1211.deviantart.com/journal/24228137/). I thought that, if anyone who can write this story, he can. I had written down the plot, characters, and other notes (most of whom made the final version) and planned to give it to him. But, due to me unable to use AIM, I was unable to send it to him. So it was shelved again and there it remains for months.

By the beginning of August, I came into contact to another one of my favorite writer, Blackfox1210 (Zethdracotsune on FA). We talked through emails and I privately wondered if he could write my story for me. I didn’t asked him and instead read his storied he’d posted. While I’d read them, it clicked.

I pulled out my details of my story, edit them a little, and wrote the story. I think the reason why I couldn’t write before was because I was missing emotions in my story. Since Blackfox1210 was good at creating stories that are emotional, they got me to realize what I was missing.

Though it took me months before it was finished, mainly because I was lazy, Fines Malum was the first written story I was truly proud of. I owe a lot to the people on dA and FA, but even more so to Greyhound1211 and Blackfox1210. Greyhound1211 because that journal he created inspired me to write down the blueprints of Fines Malum. Blackfox1210 because his stories gave me the missing piece I needed that would make me a writer. I owe a huge debt to them both.

This is my story. I have a lot more stories in plan and I’m making the blueprints of a story based on the cheesy short story I had written. I hope you’ll enjoy them all when I finish them and keep doing what you enjoy doing.

Some of you might know, but to those that don't, let me tell you. I'm FINALLY going to use Wi-Fi with my DS now. It took me, what, ever since I got my DS? Yeah. It think it was 2006 since I got it and it took me that long for me to set it up. Yeah, my router's a jerk.

NOTE: This is just a story I'd written. I think I did it poorly, but I wanted to share it. I don't think it's long enough to post it in a submission, so I'll post it here. I hope you'll enjoy it.

A long time ago, longer than anyone can remember, there only just One. The One has two stars around it, Hope and Fear. Hope light gives out the feeling of warmth while Fear light gives out the feeling of coldness. For a time, everything was fine.

Then, one day, one of the people of One looked at the stars and said to himself, “I feel nothing from Hope and something from Fear. I wonder what powers they have other than light.”

So he builds a ship and went to Fear. Fear spoke to him, “I can give you greatness and power beyond your dreams. Just give me your body and I’ll give you glory throughout time.”

He agrees and Fear entered his body. His body became grotesque with exposed muscles and large horns. He had become the Beast.

Fear had always been a jealous star; Jealous that his brother gives warmth to the people below while he gives coldness. So he decided to destroy all that loves Hope.

He descended on One and raised havoc across the lands. Many tried to fight, but nothing seems to work. All seems to be dark.

Then, out of nowhere, a person named Michael builds a ship and flies it to Hope, saying, “Hope, help us! Your brother jealously has been destroying our home. Would you want all that loves you be perish?”

“No, my dear child,” Hope told him. “I’d heard your cries and I’ll help you.”

So Hope entered Michael body and he was gold and red; Gold for his mighty power and red for his mighty anger.

He descended and confronts Fear, saying, “Brother! You are destroying our people. For a time, I let you do that, but no more. I’ll defeat you and place you in eternal punishment!”

So Hope and Fear, through Michael and the Beast, fought on One. Yet it seems to be never-ending since they’re equal in power. One was torn apart at the two fought.

In the end, Michael and Hope defeated the Beast and Fear. Yet the damaged was done; One is many.

They separated Fear and the Beast and put them in a place where no one can find them. The Beast, in his cage, yelled to all, “You will never forget me! My image will echo through your dreams and you shall worship me!”

Hope then left Michael and told him, “One is gone, but the people lived. They shall have children and their children shall have children. Raise them with kindness and love. I shall be sleep for when my brother’s awake, I’ll be ready.”

So Hope fell asleep and Michael helped the people recovered from the battle. He then died and his body was burned. But his child lives through his favorite of them and he shall have children and his children will have children. So when Fear returns, his child will be ready and, with Hope, they shall defeat Fear and his chosen vessel.

Where there’s Fear, Hope is there.

So today I sat down on Hulu.com and watched the last couple of Simpsons episodes because, well, it's a snow day and I can. I watched the most recent episode, titled 'Flaming Moe's' and thought it was actually pretty damned good. Near the end, while Moe is rallying a group of openly gay men to set a precedent of electing the town's first openly gay man to the city counsel, there are several groups standing at the bottom of the stairs to city hall. One says 'Transexuals for Change' another says 'Men from the Gay '90s (1890s)' and the last one said 'Furries for Moe'. I saw them and had instantly a uncontrollable faceplam moment. I wasn't angry at all, not at all. I was just ashamed. We've become a stereotype. The worst part is, I hardly see myself as a furry anymore because we perpetuate a stereotype as a bunch of closet-gay teenagers and college students who either have no future or are going to be future additions to Megan's List. I mean, how can I feel myself to be part of a vicious circle that the fandom doesn't really seem to care about breaking. I mean, don't let my opinion change your views. I mean, it isn't like anybody gives a shit anyways.

Well, I'd been thinking about it for a while and I wanted to bring it out to the open. If I started a commision, would anyone buy one?

It's not something that I have just thought of this morning. I'd been thinking about it for months. I didn't want to bring it up sooner because of my pattern on writing and my grammar problem.

My pattern on writing is:
1) Think about a story. It can take a few hours to a few days. Hell, Fines Malum nearly took a year until I finally got the story right in my mind.
2) I write it down. Again, from a few hours to a few days. It's mainly because I'm lazy and my mind keep popping up new ideas for my stories.
3) Type it down. Again, from a few hours to a few days. It's also because of the other two along with my slow typing speed.

So, as you can see, it'll take awhile until I got a story finished.

Of course, there's the grammar problem. Anyone who had read my stories know what I'm talking about. Hell, I just look at the comments and there's at least one person who said something about my problem. It's not that I intended it to happen. It's just that I can't fix what I don't see. It's true that I had some of my stories edited, but they were my stories. If I started to do commision and wanted someone to edit them, would I have to pay the person for it?

It's true I do some art, but, to tell you guys the truth, I hate doing abstract art. I hate it because it's so easy it's stupid. To those that love abstract art, I'm sorry. It's just . . . whenever I heard someone said, "Wow! That must be hard to do," or "Wow! That's really impressive," I don't like it. Anyone, and I mean anyone, can do abstract art. Not anyone can draw a fox so lifelike or make a fox transformation so real you can feel the pain. It's just the way I am.

2. I'm finally going to show you a preview of my next story, Fur Trade. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Ch. 1: FOXWOOD

In the middle of the night, underneath a city in Canada, there lay an underground base. That base was known to the people who worked there as FOXWOOD One, the first base ever built for FOXWOOD. The walls, floors, and ceilings were so white it hurt the eyes when one looked at them. Most of the doors were made of glass that, if it weren't for the logo for FOXWOOD composed of several white triangles shape like an "F" emblazoned on the doors, were flawlessly see though.

Inside one of the room is where the newcomers of FOXWOOD are about to receive their codenames and their Brigade names. There are nine of them, all of them anthro animals due to the Fines Malum Incident, which happened two weeks before. The accident/Fines Malum case caused them to be transformed into what they now were. At the center of the nine, there is a red fox with his green eyes looking at the commandant of FOXWOOD, the Commander.

The Commander’s face was wrinkled due to his old age and had several scars; the most prominent ones were the three claw-like scars running from his left temple to his chin. His green eyes and hair looked dull, but shining at the same time. His blue uniform was filled with several medals; with the most prominent one being the gold medal he'd gotten during the Vietnam War.

"Daren Virtus," the Commander said, "do you swear to work for FOXWOOD at the cost of your life?"

"I do," Daren said without a shred of fear in his voice.

"Then, from now on, your codename will be Brave Fox," the Commander said. "Show your courage when it's most needed." Brave Fox saluted at the Commander and the Commander saluted back.

"Kyler Sapiens," the Commander said, "do you swear to work for FOXWOOD at the cost of your life?"

"I do," Kyler said.

"Then, from now on, your codename will be Wise Wolf," the Commander said. "Show your wisdom when it's most needed."

This he had repeated for the others, though Margaret was a bit unsure and the Commander looked liked he might change his mind about her before she accepted in the end. Chris Potens became Power Coyote, Margaret Virtus became Spotted Leopard, Anna Amor became Lovely Vixen, Karson Ecclesia became Belief Cat, Ethan Libertas became Living Wolf, Tim Libertas became Free Fox, and Jon became Follow Jackal. ("What kind of codename is that?" Daren heard Jackal said under his breath).

About my story; I'd finished writing it and typing it, but I'm not going to post it up yet. It's mainly because I'm waiting for Werewolf TF to be finished. I don't know about you guys and dolls, but I can wait. Believe me, I can. Check out my profile if you don't.

Another thing is: I want someone here who can proofread my story, Fur Trade. Sure, I can do it myself and miss 75% of the problems. The main problem is: I mix up present and past tense. It's just . . . I can't see where I mixed them up. Here's the deal. To whoever want to proofread my story, I'll send you the story, but instead of just correcting it, I want you to highlight where it needs correcting and send it back to me. Then, through IM, you can explain why it needs to be this instead of that. Simple? I hope so. If you want to do it, tell me and I'll give you my three IMs.

The story's coming along slowly, but surely. I said slowly because I'd been thinking so much about the future chapters and stories, I hadn't been thinking much on how to get there. So many ideas that could work, but how do I get there?

Finally, my sister has been trying to take a picture of Stockton and they all failed. Maybe I could show them all sometime. What do you guys think?

Well, the story is going along just fine. To tell you the truth, I think the story, which is called Fur Trade in case you don't know(Artist Profile), is going to be more shorter than Fines Malum. Which is good because it can get posted more sooner. Also I'm trying to get a habit of typing in the story into this laptop as soon as I written a new chapter so that it can get posted sooner.

I'm doing ok in college. No need to worry about that.
