I'm sure some of you have noticed I've not been particularly active for some time; I've had some medical drama I've been deeling with for the last while and three weeks ago it got pretty serious so I abruptly put more or less everything on hold save for a few art pieces to keep me occupied for my own sanity's sake.

I won't go into it, but long story short I'm alright for the moment but I'm being sent for more tests to see what's going on. Thank you all for bearing with me, and I hope to be getting back to regular posting soon. ♡ ♡ ♡

Hello my loves~
How are you doing today. ouo

Through a momentous myriad of frantic failures from hampered hardware and technical tomfoolery via painfully parsed partitions, I've been spending the better half of the last week trying to back up my stuff in the hopes I won't lose 15 years of work. External hard drive failed and my PC is having some sort of episode, so I've been a tad stressed out trying to get it sorted.

So in the meantime, this is going to be one of those fun questions, answers, enigmas, tears and orphans journals.

I'll answer what I can, and leave you with tittilating cliffhangers where I can't.

Hey my loves~

Since I've not updated this in four months, I figured I'd post something new to shake things up a bit.

So, how are all you lovely people doing? I finished off the last thing I owe someone, and now I'm free of my backlog for the first time in eight years. Feels kind of weird, like I don't know what to do or where to go from here now. I'm sure I'll eventually end up with more commission work, but for the time being I feel like I'm in this odd limbo state where I feel like I should be stressing over work, but I have no work to stress over.

I've been tossing around various ideas of things I could look into doing; one of them was considering starting a Patreon, but I'm not sure what the interest would be from you guys, or what I could offer up for rewards. One thought had been putting the huge size versions of my art, plus sketches and wips, etc, if anyone would be interested in that? It's not something I've tried before, so I've no idea how it will work out.

I'm probably going to end up streaming more often too, either on my Twitch channel, or anywhere else that might be more suitable; again it's something I'm going to have to look into further, which I've not done yet.

I think a lot of the trouble I have is that I'm terrible at marketing myself and getting myself out there; I get told by a lot of people "your art is amazing", "it's so sad to see you don't get many views", "you deserve more attention", etc etc, and I'm not sure what I can do to change that. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'm all ears.

Though I'm not here to be a debbie downer about things; I suppose whatever happens will happen, and wherever I go from here I'll end up going. Who knows, maybe it's time for a fresh start.

Hey all, quick question;

My inbox just got a bunch of notes in it and some are labelled as a month or older, like the dates are way off or something. But my inbox had been empty until now; is this happening to anyone else, or is it just my account being weird? Apologies in advance to anyone who's sent me a note and I'd not replied to it, I honestly have no idea what's going on here. I mentioned to a few people that I very rarely get notes from people, and I'm suddenly starting to wonder if this might be why?

Hey love muffins,

For anyone who's interested, I've gone through my gallery on DeviantART and have replaced most of my posted art with the full-sized versions of them. I'll see what I can do about doing the same here, but some folks have complained in the past about my images on FA being too large to see properly.

But yeah; most are in the vein of A4 page sized pieces [3508x2480], while some go up to 5000-6000px wide, and there's even one that is 10,000x5625. It was originally meant for a 40" print, but that didn't really work out. Either way, the full version is posted up now, so go check it out if you're interested in seeing a visual representation of my particular flavor of crazy when it comes to detailing my art.

As for all the rest; I've updated my commission info for anybody interested in some art from me; it's only in text for the moment, but I'll have a proper price sheet up shortly. I'll also be trying to post at least one journal a week from now on, with updates and random thoughts and whatnot. Also, for anybody interested who hasn't dropped by yet, I have a Twitch stream where I work on art and play some games or just generally dick about to whatever fits my fancy for the day. I'll probably set up specific streaming days, along with my journal postings and whatnot.

Anyhow, that's the start of 2016 for me; I hope the year goes well for all the rest of you. Expect art and updates more frequently, and as always thank you for your support for my work for the last 10+ years. I couldn't have done it without you.

Hey love muffins,

Sorry I ended up breaking the art streak I had going; I've been having back pains since last Thursday which have been getting worse by the day, to the point where I was in so much pain I wasn't able to work.

Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment; after he asked me a bunch of questions, I answered and he went really serious about it and sent me immediately off to get scanned, thinking I might have a blood clot in my lung. So I had to get a CT scan and they filled me up with dye stuff and blagh, it was a yucky experience. BUT, the good news is that it's not a blood clot and not "you need to go to hospital right freaking now" serious. It's some sort of muscular issue so still serious but not life threateningly so.

Anyhow, I'm still in an absolute fuckton of pain, but at least I've been given pills for it and I've been told to take it easy over the weekend; if there's no improvement by Monday, I have to go back to the doctor.

So yeah that's been my week; sorry again for the lack up posts and updates, I'll be getting back to work as soon as I'm able. Hopefully it'll clear up soon and won't get any worse; the bitch of it is, I don't know how this happened in the first place, if I pulled something or tore a muscle or what.

When you get a commission from someone, what size/resolution do you expect to get for your money? I ask because, while I know FA has image size limitations, whenever someone sends me an actual image file of something they've commissioned from somewhere, 9/10 times the picture is [in my opinion] really small, like around 720p or so.

So I'm just wondering, do you guys actually get really small images from artists you commission, or is something else going on? I'm just curious because I always work at print size, usually A4 page or larger.

What do you expect to get for your money, I guess I'm asking. I guess I just find it silly for people to pay something like $300 for a 1280x720 image and be fine with that.
