So I got an email from PayPal earlier saying they were splitting off from eBay and operating separately. I haven't read through the new ToS yet and to be honest my grasp of legalese is tenuous at best, so I don't know if any of this will affect how I do business with commissions and the like.

Would anyone happen to know any more about this than I do? Mostly I just don't want to have to fall into another thing to worry about, with everything else that's been going on lately.



Elsewise, things have been up and down as usual; I saw the doctor about my headaches and sleep issues and now I'm on blood pressure meds. My grandfather passed last week and my dad flew over to the UK on thursday to be there for the funeral; it's been stressful for him because my grandmother passed around this time last year as well, so I'm worried about my parents.

I decided to scrap my Easter picture because it was taking too long to finish [and we're well past the date for it now], so it's my own fault for trying to do something so huge and complex with only a week left before the day, and in the end the longer it took to finish the more miserable I got over it and just got sick of looking at the damned thing.

So instead, I'm trying to focus on personal art I want to do, and the commissions that I have; losing myself in my work is something I tend to do when I need to drown out the world, after all. I'll be working on art today and probably for awhile, so if anyone's interested I can stream it or whatevs.


Anyhow, that's the life of Jade lately; overall I'm doing okay, just need to keep fighting the good fight. Any advice on the PayPal thing would be appreciated; the last thing I need is to be screwed over by another bank.

Hey my lovelies~ Just letting everyone know, I'm still around and will be posting some new things soon; life got in the way and I had to get a new art tablet, but at least now I'm able to do my work properly without ragequitting every few minutes because of a broken wacom pen :)

As a good many of you lovely folks know my stance on porn, adult work, etc, and my increasing need to be able to pay bills, I've been tossing over this for awhile now. If I'm going to treat taking commissions as my job, then I need to both treat it like one, and open myself up to whatever avenues are available.

So, that being said, what's your thoughts on me actually doing, well, porn and adult art, etc? Would anyone be interested in it if I were to draw it?

Keep in mind that this would be a HUGE paradigm shift for me, and I'll probably get scared out of the idea easily, but I'd like to start the discussion at least and see where it goes, because at the end of the day, I do need to start earning a living and so far I've had little interest in commissions otherwise.

So yeah~ to porn or not to porn? What do you guys think?

So after mulling about on it a bit and wondering what I should work on next, I figure I'll ask you guys since you all watch me for some reason :P
This isn't a call for requests per se, but what do you guys want to see me post up more of, and of what? Pinups/scenes/comics/sequences/sheets/YCH/the dreaded pronz/whatevs, give me some ideas!

I was thinking of looking into what's popular these days and maybe doing fanart, or doing some art of characters from webcomics, or whatever, and maybe see where that goes. I dunno~

Or if you want something for yourself instead, I'm open for commissions too; I've got a price sheet in the works and that'll be done soon, but until it's up just throw me a note and we can work something out! :D

Just a random grumble:

I hate abandoned/inactive accounts on places I frequent. Profiles and galleries and pages completely empty, going on 10 years now.

It's frustrating, because I've used FoxGirlJade as my username in most places since 2004, back when I was in high school. That feels like a lifetime ago, and since then I've gone through so many changes in my life both online and off, that it's a mouthful of a name that I'm long past ready to move on from.

And so I start looking into what I might change it to; a lot of folks call me "Jadey" as a nickname, so I gave it a try. On both of the main gallery sites I use, Jadey was taken, and abandoned, for 8+ years.

Sometimes people call me "Jaders", I tried that instead. Free on one, abandoned for a decade on the other. I just find this...ridiculous, and I recall hearing somewhere, someone had once said something along the lines of "The greatest challenge our children will face, is going to be trying to find a user name that isn't taken."

It's just frustrating and annoying that these things exist, abandoned for so long, locking them out for people who actually want to use them. I'm going to have to find something eventually, I just hope I don't end up with SuperHappyJade198XLOL or something.

Anyway, just my random rant of the day.

I'd like to think it would be like meeting myself, but honestly mine would probably be ashamed of and disappointed in me, but that's just me. :v

And so begins the attempt at bringing myself back to the interwebs after a long period of pissing about trying to find work in the real world without much luck, so Fuck You World is the stance I'm going to take!

Henceforth the plan is simple: Wiggle my way out of net obscurity after having been mostly forgotten for so long by a) posting a new journal at least once a week, and b) posting a new piece of artwork at least once a week, and c) dropping my ridiculous professional formality.

The former ought to be easiest, mostly just updating on how things are going with me and whatnot. The mid might be the hardest given that it actually involves doing work. The latter because Fuck You World! :D

So yeah, first journal of the comeback is go!

Hey all, just wanted to let everyone know what's been going on and why I've been inactive/absent for awhile.

Put simply, my grandmother had a stroke, and I've been out of my way trying to do what I can to help her and my grandad through it; visiting her at the hospital, helping him with things at their place because of his bad back, etc, so I've had precious little time to get art or other work done. I'd also made the decision that I wouldn't be working on any art until we knew she would be alright, because if she weren't then any art I DID do at the time would always have been a constant reminder had the worst happened.

All things considered though, I just got home a few minutes ago from visiting, and she's doing very well; today she was able to speak properly, walk on her own, and she was in her own clothes instead of a hospital gown, which is an amazing improvement given how this time last week she was completely incoherent speaking nonsense, and her eyes had been so glazed over we'd been scared she might have gone blind. It was pretty scary stuff, seeing someone who's been strong as a rock all your life in a state like that.

But, things are on the mend, and she's getting better by the day, so I'll be going back to my usual routine fairly soon I hope.

As for art; pay-what-you-want commissions are open, trades and requests closed. Those already in line know what's been going on, so all is good there, and anyone new interested in some art off me are always welcome, since every little bit always helps.

Hey; just letting everyone know I'm alright. For those who've seen the news about the crazy weather in Queensland, I'm right in the middle of that. A tornado came down a few miles away and tore things up pretty badly; we mostly got clipped by the edge of it, but some places around us had trees fall on them. Our power has been off for almost two days and only just came back on.

So yeah, just letting everyone know that for now I'm alright; figured I'd best post how things are going in case the power goes out again.

I offered up some quick drawings to a bunch of friends in the hope I could drum up some business and get myself back into getting art done, I'll be posting those in a little bit. Meanwhile if anyone's interested in a sketch or whatnot from me for $10, that'd be awesome and I'd love you forever :D note me, comment me, whatever you like~ :) I'd just like to get some things done for people again and maybe make some money while doing it :D

Been thinking of streaming too, though haven't done that before and don't quite know much about it. We'll see how it goes; would anyone actually be interested in watching me draw or let's play-ing? Just wondering about things I can do to get myself out there again and all, since I'm tired of sitting around waiting for things to come to me.

Hey all, I've been thinking lately about a large-scale project I could attempt doing; given I'm trained as a game artist, the first thing that came to mind was a mod project. Though the biggest issue there is exactly that--I'm an artist; I can't code for the life of me, though I'm willing to try learning.

I've messed around with C&C Generals and Homeworld 2 a few times, as well as dabbling about a little with Source when I tried to get an idea of what would be needed for the aborted Homeworld Source / Ace Combat Source ideas; I'd been tossing between an RTS mod maybe for Generals or the like, or maybe an FPS mod for Crysis or Unreal3

If anyone has any decent modding experience and has any advice, or how I could get such a project off the ground, I'd like to discuss it in the comments! :D


Another thought I've been tossing around is finally getting around to starting one of my webcomic ideas [yes, one of]; most of you who know me well already know that I have a few huge webcomic plans in the works which I tend to keep hopping between, mostly due to my indecisiveness of which to pick and stay with, and my incessent need to meticulously plan out every little detail before I even start.

So on that note, anyone with webcomic experience [Yes, even you Mr. Dillo who shall not be named ;P] who has any advice on how I can get a webcomic started, or just advice on it in general/the hurdles I'd likely face, I'd like to discuss that too! :D
