So what's going on with Asinine Age? Opinions appreciated
Posted 7 years agoTo be perfectly frank, I'm not sure what to do with the comic at the moment. I still really love it and I have plenty of ideas for it, but I just lack the time to really commit to it again. Winter in Summer is easier to work on, plus between commissions and other projects, I'm just unsure when I'll actually be able to work on it once more.
I've been toying with the designs of my characters to shift them more to my current art style, but then does that result in too many changes? I also don't want to announce the return only to update for a month.
It's not necessarily a writers block or art block, it's more like a commitment block.
So I guess what I'd like to know; is Asinine Age something you would like to see return soon? Or would you rather see some of the other passion projects I'm currently working on? Let me know below, I really value yoir opinions on this

Hope you're all having a happy holiday! So it's been a while since I've run a lottery, and I feel like I have a bit of explaining regarding that.
Primarily, it felt like I was desperate for some way to supplement my income to handle the sudden medical bills (of which I still get every few months). At the moment I have it under control but I do currently live in dread every time I open my mail.
So for a while, I felt like I needed to push myself a bit more to not only get attention to my Patreon, but also in general. Offering Patreon exclusive lotteries as well as other free lotteries began to wore me out, and I honestly forgot why I was doing it in the first place; it's just a fun thing to do when I have free time, and to thank all of you who follow me!
You may have noticed I no longer have a Patreon. Really I felt like all I was doing was taking money from my friends. I may set one up again in the future, but at the moment, I just got rid of it.

Sudden medical bill

I’m not the type to make these kinds of posts, but I just got slammed by a $2000 doctor bill. I’m trying to figure things out still, but uh…
I dunno what even to say. I want to post my commission information, ask for emergency commissions, and thank anyone generous enough to give. But the awkward thing is that I JUST raised my prices, and I in fact just charge these new prices to even friends of mine. How can I say “thanks for paying full price” and then turn to strangers and say “hey here’s a discounted rate because suddenly I’m having a crisis!”
So I don’t know what to do…

So currently, how I draw for lotteries is as follows:
Commentors are numbers by order of comment
Using a number generator, I picks a number
They win!
However, I wanted to make something a bit more random and fair, so from now on I'll be using the following website to pick:

I've run quite a few tests it and it definitely seems fair, and now this will allow me to simply draw a name and remove the whole number mechanic!
Let me know what you guys think!

So starting in June, I'm going to be holding three Raffles a month. One will be free for all watchers on Furaffinity, as were my previous raffles. This free raffle will be a black and white drawing.
A second black and white drawing raffle will be held for my Patreon subscribers, and winning one does not exclude you from winning the other.
A third, full color raffle will be held only for patreon subscribers of that tier, and again winning does not exclude you from any of the monthly raffles.

Past few weeks

Sorry for the lack of anything the past few weeks. Unfortunately there are a few things that have been affecting my productivity, not limited to:
*Increased workload at my job recently
*Travel and family drama related to my late grandfather
*Not sleeping well
*And to top it off, I need to have a root canal tomorrow, with a nearly $1200 bill
Thanks for your patience as I sort this stuff out, and I appreciate all of the support I've received so far and in the future. Love you all~

Steroid
Posted 8 years agoHas anyone ever taken prednizone before? This was my first flare up so they wanted to see how it'd work for me.
It helped but now im exhausted but can't sleep, sore, and am having trouble focusing. My coworker (who used to be a nurse) said those were the side effects and that it'd last for a few weeks.
I'll try to get y'all some content this weekend, until then go check out Buddy Thunderstruck on Netflix
It helped but now im exhausted but can't sleep, sore, and am having trouble focusing. My coworker (who used to be a nurse) said those were the side effects and that it'd last for a few weeks.

Asinine Age Changes and Ret-cons

Anyway, some preliminary info. I'm going to be changing some things about the comic to hopefully improve both the story and the setting. Some important changes include:
1) Removal of some current comics, primarily dealing with the story introduction, the king, and the princess
2) The King character is being completely changed to be an older, more competent figure, and the Princess's father instead of brother. His role will be significantly reduced
3) The Princess will be a much more prominent character in this version, with slightly altered motivations
In any case, anything related to older Asinine Age media will be moved into a sub-folder instead of deleted, so it can still be seen there. Anything in that folder, however, will be considered non-canon
This week I hope to post the new Prologue to the comic, which marks the beginning of the comic in color! I hope you enjoy!
