Anyone playing a decent MMO lately? I've been feeling that itch again, but my old Guild Wars 2 buddies are all off playing WoW. I don't dislike WoW, and played it pretty extensively throughout Wrath of the Litch King, it would be nice if anyone had a recommendation for a newer game.

If it has a guild/party system, I'd gladly join up with you if you help me get oriented to the game :)

Hey everyone,

first of all, thanks for your continued support over the past half a year. Seriously, I've always wanted to make a regularly updating webcomic, and tonight's comic is #60 in the archive. It doesn't sound like much, but for me that's a huge milestone that I think is worth celebrating.

But as the title says, I will be taking a short hiatus soon. The most recent arc is called "Time Off" for a reason, ahaha.

There are a some long answers for choosing to take a hiatus now, but I'll try to answer some of the brief questions.

1) Why now?
6 months of consistent comics and I've already improved in ways I couldn't have imagined. However, I feel I need to improve a few things behind the scenes. Story writing, backgrounds, perspectives, and more dynamic comics in general. Also color; my intention is that soon the comic will be in color for nearly every update.

2) When does it start?
Now

3) This is just to improve?
No, there's also other factors, such as work and my personal life. If you never noticed, I bring up my father in journals somewhat infrequently, but his passing away nearly 3 years ago causes a lot of stress on me, particularly this time of year which is when he started going downhill into his final weeks. I need to be there for my family as much as I need them to be there for me.

4) Will you post other pieces?
The only thing on hiatus is my comic, I'll still be uploading work, and hopefully with increased frequency.



My goal is to bring the comic back stronger, better, and more frequent. If able, I'd also like to bump the update schedule to three times a week, but we may have to see.

Sorry for the lack of stuff this weekend, last Thursday I get hit with intense pain that ended up being from an infection. I'm feeling a lot better now tho :)

My grandfather hasn't been doing well, as the result of some surgeries that resulted in bacterial infection. He's in his upper 80's and has been struggling to recover for a few months.

I just got a call today that he's going back home to die instead of continuing treatment.

So... how do you deal with the death of a loved one if they haven't died yet? When they're resigned to let their life end to stop the pain instead of keep fighting? Is it right to try and change their mind, when it'll lead to them suffering more just because you don't want to lose them?

I just lost my other grandfather a few months ago to cancer, and my father 2.5 years ago also to cancer. With both of them, we had time to accept it was coming.

Everything right now is coming out of no-where and I don't know how to deal with this anymore... I don't want him to suffer, but to just... give up?

Updates Tuesday and Friday! New pages will be uploaded to Tumblr automatically at midnight, and added to FA and DA later in the day. This is thanks to the Queue system on Tumblr, as I won't have the files I need at work to upload them here.

Here's a general Q&A, please feel free to ask any questions in the comments!

1) Will the comic ever be in color?
Probably one day, when my schedule permits the extra time needed. For now, I actually enjoy the color-void characters on the gray backgrounds. Additionally, many comics will lack a background when I don't feel it's necessary. This is simply because I tend to panic and procrastinate when backgrounds need to be drawn. This is absolutely something I need to improve on, and I feel that getting things going and getting into a rhythm may actually help me knock this off.


2) Why only two updates a week?
For the sake of my sanity. I tried to realistically determine an update schedule based on my turn-around rate over the past few months. I think two is a good starting point, but will bump it up to three (maybe even four) if I find more time.


3) Will this comic be mature?
It may dip into mature themes for the sake of a gag, however in regards to visual content, the comic will remain relatively PG. My family reads this too.


4) Can my character/fursona cameo?
While I'd love to do so, it would have to be with an understanding that I will not be removing your cameo at your request some time in the future, and that these comics may be sold at conventions in the future. It would also have to be appropriate for the scene, and no more than a background role. That all said, feel free to request it. At this time I would not likely be able to squeeze you in until crowd shots.


5) What font are you using?
I made it myself, actually!


6) Can I draw adult fan-art?
Please feel free! I may be a SFW artist, but I appreciate and understand that many fans enjoy this type of art of characters they like. Anyone who knows me can verify, I've always said that one day I'd like to have characters people like enough to draw smut of it.

I turned 28 today

Not that anyone wants or needs to know, but I had a mild case of colitis which was causing all of my stomach and abdominal pains. No meds needed, just have to stay on the bland diet for a little while longer.
