What am I thinking? Am I crazy? Am I nuts?
After this trolling spree, I recalled the time God kept getting so furious with his choses people before they got to the promised land. God was so furious he wanted to wipe them out. Well, God didn't. Why?
God sent his son Jesus so that we may have life. If we accept him, we are saved. If not, then we live separated from God forever.
Do we, as Christians, let alone anyone else, deserve the gift of eternal life? NO! We do not deserve it. So why then, is God offering this gift to us?
Unconditional grace.
That's right. What is grace? Not something beautiful, though it is. Not something powerful, though it is.
Unconditional grace is the giving of a gift, no strings attached, even though someone does not deserve it.
Christians, people in general, do not really understand this. Myself included. Our society, the human race, understands "just deserts, good rewarded and evil punished, ect." we do not comprehend this little thing called grace. Why are Christians different? We have unconditional grace. It is difficult for Chrisitans themselves to practice it, since we don't get it either. Trust me.
God's prophet Jonah did not get it either. God asked Jonah to minister to the Ninevites. The Ninevites accepted God's gift of grace and forgiveness. Jonah, on the other hand, thought the Ninevites should be punished irreguardless of their acceptance of forgiveness and their repentance. God forgave them, he could have said "you have been bad, you will be punished", instead, he offered his hand to help them, giving them grace and spared them.
So, I am going to practice what God has given me, his unconditional grace.
I forgive all who trolled us, wrote slanderous and harsh comments on my page. You don't deserve my forgiveness, but here I stand, giving you this gift unconditionaly, no strings attached. I will also pray for you too.

It's just a matter of time a few days ago
I saw you, you were fine
Remembering what you said
About the book you read
The one I got you
The Beginning of the End
Oh how we'd talk
For hours upon end
What I would give
Just to do it again
But you're lying there
In this hospital bed
Won't you open you eyes
And let's talk once again
[CHORUS]
If you fly away tonight
I want to tell you that I love you
I hope that you can hear me
I hope that you can feel me
If you fly away tonight
I want to tell you that I'm sorry
That I never told you
When we were face to face
Well I've been here all night
And I'm watching you
Breathe in and breathe out
Is it really you
Or just a machine
That's giving you life
And it's making seem
That there could be hope
I could say to your face
If it weren't for you
That there would be no grace
That's covered my life
You took the time
To speak into my mind
And my heart
Words of life
[CHORUS]
So goodbye for now
And I'll see you again
Some way, somehow
When it's my turn
To go to the other side
I'll hold you again
And melt at your smile
Now all I have
Are the ones that I'm with
And you taught me not
To take for granted
The time that we have
To show that we care
Speak into their minds
And their hearts
While their here
And say I love you
[CHORUS]

Ok, now I am extremely steamed.
Yes, there has been drama on here. BUT I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY FURTHER FOUL LANGUAGE ON MY GROUP!
One more disrespectful comment, and I will block that individual who posts it from my group.
Thank you.

Announcement! (Voting Closed) #2
Posted 15 years agoAlrighty, here is the result.
2 for option 1
8 for option 2
Well, looks like the group is going to divide. I am closing the voting cause well...that's all that voted. 10. And no new votes. Also, Rev. Wally will not be on the FPC as much, and the group will act independently from the FPC. (Still will be on each other's profile as affiliates.)
I will now openly resume Holy Rock Cafe and the 411's.
Secondly, concerning the song that Rev. Wally posted, he is reluctant to leave the devotions part of this group, but will. Starting now, ftm will be the FPC's devotional username. Hosted by Rev. Wally.

Also, still wanting new mods and ideas for the FPC.

Announcements! (VOTE AND READ!) #1
Posted 15 years agoThis will be the first in a series of announcements.
I have come to the conclusion the FPC has evolved with a wide member base, and now two particular objectives.
Our first objective, is to create a prayerful atmosphere between furries, a support group for furries, with prayer and faith. We bring furries together through prayer. We are open, compassionate, and hope everyone on here feels the same way. The FPC is "place for people to pray for each other, to post their troubles and get support."
Now, another objective has come to light. A sermon ministry has begun. It first started out as a counceling, but now with more sermons touching more eggy topics. These sermons are designed to bring things into light about certain topics on a scripture basis. They help members become closer to understanding scripture and God. Though we accept everyone irreguardless of their faith, we are still a Christian-oriented group. This is a very good thing, but with more controversial topics it can conflict with our community.
I must make a call to vote on this topic. There are many issues and objectives at stake. None of these objectives will be derailed. I must ask this:
1. We keep everything the same. Still sermons and prayer hand in hand, opperating in the same unison.
2. We split the group into two distict sections. First, the FPC will remain as the objective one, and will run efficiently. Second, create a supplimentary group wich works in partership to this one. In doing so, sermons can receive more effective responses, better organization on part of the sermons, and other issues can be cleared. I have not mentioned this to anyone concerning this idea. For the second partnership group, it will be named "The Upper Room" in honor of all the sermons on the FPC. The sermons can be reposted while leaving the old ones in the FPC journal archive.
As the President, I have full authority to make the decision. However, I also must realize this is a group and all members must be supportive in the decision. This is why I call to vote all members for choice one or choice two. Whatever choice receives the highest number of votes will be the outcome, irreguardless of mine, moderators, and member's other opinions.
This vote will remain on the page for at least two weeks. I am asking all FPC 411's, Upper Rooms, Sermons, and Holy Rock Cafe journals be put on hiatus until the decision is made. The voting will end October 20.
Opperations will return once the voting has ended. This vote is extremely important.
I ask that everyone meditates and prays concerning this decision and let God help all the members of this group make the right decision, whatever it may be.
Thank you for being apart of this group.

~LYRICS~
There you stood in disbelief,
Trying all you could to see through these lies
And every word that I could breathe,
Would you find more inclined to leave,
But I tried, I tried
And knowing what I've done to you,
With every thought you suffer through
My heart as black as evil can
And everything I could have been,
Erased by what I wanted then
I couldn't think a lesser man
[Pre-chorus:]
All the delicate ways
That I deepened our graves
My apology pales
[Chorus:]
Oh, the pain in your eyes
My regrets have never known such sorrow
Oh, the shame that you hide
Resolutions are the same tomorrow
So now I reap what I have sewn,
And any rapture I had shown has bled dry
And I walked the streets alone,
Accepting pain I'd never known,
As you died, you died
Then I hurt myself to see it too,
To feel the knife I put in you
My heart as broken as my ways
I never should've let it pass,
This fall was never meant to last
The reason gone and damage stays
[Pre-chorus]
All the delicate ways
That I deepened our graves
My apology pales
[Chorus]
Oh, the pain in your eyes
My regrets have never known such sorrow
Oh, the shame that you hide
Resolutions are the same tomorrow
[4x]
Count the cost of your vile means
Solace comes to less
[Pre-chorus]
All the delicate ways
That I deepened our graves
My apology pales
[Chorus]
Oh, the pain in your eyes
My regrets have never known such sorrow
Oh, the shame that you hide
Resolutions are the same tomorrow
Oh, the pain in your eyes (the delicate ways)
My regrets have never known such sorrow (I deepened our graves)
Oh, the shame that you hide (the delicate ways)
Resolutions are the same tomorrow (I deepened our graves)
Deepened our graves
~THOUGHTS~
Please say a special prayer for my friend. Her father is having problems with his health. I hate to see a friend suffer through losing a father. It hurts me deeply to read how she worrys about him and how she is not able to see him. I lost my father a few months ago and im not over it yet. I know how bad it hurts to loose your father.

Read Psalm 57
The psalmist wrote, "I will sing and make music."
-Psalm 57:7 (NIV)
ONE morning after Daddy's funeral, when I was back home again, I found myself lost in sorrow during my prayer time, staring mutely at the wall. As I relived the events of the preceding week and the many acts of kindness shown to our family, I suddenly wished for a way besides a card to express my gratitude to my parents' pastor and a few extraordinarily helpful neighbors.
I decided to make personalized, handmade gifts for each of them. While working on the gifts the next several days, I found that instead of being lost in sorrow I was caught up in prayerful creativity. My mood improved dramatically, and by the time I took my offerings to the post office, I felt deeply comforted.
Now I recall this incident each time I read Psalm 57, written while its author was hiding in a cave, fearing for his life. David -- the shepherd, the warrior, the king -- was also a poet and a musician. Doubtless, his "song in the dark" provided peace and reassurance to him, and now it does the same for us. It also reminds us that we all possess some creative ability, in music or handicrafts, in homemaking or business, that we can consecrate to God and use for the good of others. When we employ these skills -- especially as we suffer through crisis and loss -- we may find ourselves surprisingly encouraged.

Grow baby grow! in the Upper Room #LXI
Posted 15 years agoSeed Growth
Read Mark 4:26-29 and 1 Corinthians 3:5-9
Neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.
-1 Corinthians 3:7 (NRSV)
I learned about farming from my father, who was a cotton farmer. Preparation for the next year's harvest actually starts just as the current year's harvest is complete. As soon as the crops are out of the field, the ground is prepared for the next year's crop to eliminate stalks and preserve ground moisture. The following spring and summer everything is done with precision, from selecting seed and the number to be planted per acre to plowing and planting.
However, regardless of how much preparation takes place, variables can always affect the plan. Insects, hail damage, too little or too much rainfall -- all these can increase stress levels for farmers. Even though farmers have a lot of work and planning to do, they cannot make the seed sprout or the plant grow. Only God can do that.
Our spiritual growth is similar. Just as God cannot produce a crop for a farmer who does not plant and tend the field, God cannot grow the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives if we do not do our part. Our part involves consistent attention to spiritual practices such as Bible study, prayer, worship, putting God first in our lives, and caring for those in need. It takes time to grow spiritually, and we cannot make it happen faster. But we can maximize our growth by paying attention every day to the details that are our responsibility.

Posted 15 years agoYES! This tuesday (tomorrow) the sermon will be the biggest one I'll ever write here...
the Homosexual Sermon.
I'll be touching on all three parts:
Gay/Lesbian
Bisexual
Transsexual
It's time you people hear the scriptural truth about all of it.
PRE-DISCLAIMER:
There will be NONE of my opinion in this one, 100% Bible. So if you don't like what I say...well...then you'd be arguing with God and his Word then...
And welcome to all the new members...I'll be getting to you some time soon...our welcome wagon left us....

New Earth in The Upper Room #LX
Posted 15 years agoSOOO, a bunch of astronomers found a new planet in the consultation of libra. And they're going to shoot a rocket at it...
http://www.nasa.gov/topics/universe.....1_feature.html

Why should you care? Some evangelicals believe that it's the 'New Jerusalem'(heaven) and/or the 'New Earth' that is said in revelation...and As a church member and I was talking (I was fixing his computer) we ended up coming to conclusions that Silvia Brown could possibly be right when she says that we live on hell...on it NOT in it...
But I have no real proof, so besides the planet being real take the rest with a grain of salt.
~Rev. Wally Bear
The "Upper Room"
Read James 5:13-16
Jesus said, "Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."
-Matthew 18:20 (NRSV)
I have a dear friend, Priscilla, whom I haven't seen in the many years since my husband and I moved to a new town. Each morning when I read The Upper Room devotional, the title, The Upper Room, conjures up fond memories of my friend. It was in the "upper room" of our church that we met many years ago on a hot, summer evening as we prepared with other church members to teach vacation Bible school. When asked where we met, Priscilla and I always loved telling people we met in the "upper room" (Luke 22:12, NIV, KJV).
Over the years as our friendship deepened, our prayer times together grew increasingly precious to me. Priscilla taught me to pray with complete spontaneity. If either of us needed prayer, the next words out of Priscilla's mouth would be, "Anne, let's pray." Initially, I would respond, "Right here? Right now?" She would always take my hands in hers and begin to pray.
It was important to me for Priscilla to take my hands in hers and say, "Let's pray." I felt God's presence in the touching of our hands. I would feel a spark of instantaneous hope, relieving any stress I was experiencing, giving me confidence that God was at work and would remedy whatever problem I faced.

It'll Be Fun!
Read Romans 8:28-30
Jesus said, "Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires; God will satisfy them fully."
-Matthew 5:6 (TEV)
"I don't want to go to school," my child whined.
"Aw, come on. Maybe it'll be fun!" I answered hopefully.
Eventually we were loaded up and on our way. The complaining continued -- then abated. But it resumed as we pulled into the school's driveway.
As I drove away after the drop-off, with the car quiet at last, I wondered about what I had said: "It'll be fun!" Why do we so often try to encourage one another with "It'll be fun"? Is the desire for fun our most important motivator? I don't want to teach kids that something has value only if it's fun.
Fun is fine, but is that all there is? What about the thrill of discovery, the pride of accomplishment, or the bond of friendship? What about developing social skills, exploring how this amazing world works, and exercising both mind and body? What about learning kindness, faith, justice, and love of neighbor? More importantly, what about seeing opportunities to glorify God, to serve with the gifts God gives us? I wonder how we would experience life if we entered each day anticipating the good God is going to do. Perhaps it would be fun. I don't know. But I am sure it would be meaningful, enriching, and fulfilling.

Posted 15 years agoIt is sad when people create theories without researching them...

This was an old picture I made to make one of my co-workers happy...and as you can read I've heard enough foolishness from it...
Under Siege
Read Jeremiah 32:27, 36-41
"I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
MOST of us experience times when we feel as if we are under siege. A close friend of mine is in constant pain and is facing hip replacement surgery. Another has finished a round of chemotherapy and is now beginning radiation to fight her cancer. Another battles debilitating depression.
The prophet Jeremiah spoke to his people who had been literally under siege. The Babylonians had carried them into bondage. But in their suffering, Jeremiah brought a promise of hope and a good future: God had not forgotten them. God promises to "never stop doing good to them." Though they would suffer, they would never be alone, never be without hope.
Centuries later, the prophet Jeremiah still speaks to all those who feel under siege -- by disease, war, and famine. In these and other times of siege, where can we turn for hope? Who can bring peace to our hearts and give us strength to carry on? There is but One, and scripture assures us that nothing is too hard for God. Though difficulty may mark our path, God is stronger and is with us. No matter our struggle, God's promises sustain us.

The NEW pledge of allegiance....

Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer are not allowed in most public schools anymore because the word 'God' is mentioned...A kid in Arizona wrote this:
NEW School prayer:
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange, or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific. The law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
I thought this would be cool to share with the group. It was some cute thing I've read somewhere.

Lyrics...
# Rain, rain on my face
# It hasnt stopped raining for days
# My world is a flood
# Slowly I become one with the mud
#
# Chorus:
#
# But if I cant swim after forty days
# And my mind is crushed by the thrashing waves
# Lift me up so high that I cannot fall
# Lift me up
# Lift me up - when Im falling
# Lift me up - Im weak and Im dying
# Lift me up - I need you to hold me
# Lift me up - keep me from drowning again
#
# Downpour on my soul
# Splashing in the ocean, Im losing control
# Dark sky all around
# I cant feel my feet touching the ground
#
# [chorus]
#
## But if I cant swim after forty days
# And my mind is crushed by the thrashing waves
# Lift me up so high that I cannot fall
# Lift me up
# Lift me up - when Im falling
# Lift me up - Im weak and Im dying
# Lift me up - I need you to hold me
# Lift me up - keep me from drowning again
#
# Calm the storms that drench my eyes
# Dry the streams still flowing
# Cast down all the waves of sin
# And guilt that overthrow me
#
# if I cant swim after forty days
# And my mind is crushed by the thrashing waves
# Lift me up so high that I cannot fall
# Lift me up
# Lift me up - when Im falling
# Lift me up - Im weak and Im dying
# Lift me up - I need you to hold me
# Lift me up - keep me from drowning again
# Lift me up - when Im falling
# Lift me up - Im weak and Im dying
# Lift me up - I need you to hold me
# Lift me up - keep me from drowning again

Read Luke 12:1-3
Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops.
-Luke 12:3 (NRSV)
AT a rehearsal for my role in a musical I was fitted with a wireless microphone that I was usually careful to turn off when it wasn't needed. However, this particular night I forgot to turn it off. When I returned to my dressing room, the "private" conversation between another cast member and me was broadcast over the sound system in the auditorium. Everyone heard me criticize a member of the orchestra. I was horrified and deeply embarrassed. My harsh words didn't match the way I want to present myself.
In the reading for today, Jesus tells his disciples of the hypocrisy of the Pharisees who always appeared to be perfect on the outside and were well respected in the community. But Jesus, seeing their thoughts and knowing even their private conversations, warned that the corruption of their hearts would be exposed.
No matter how good we may look on the outside, God knows the true condition of our hearts and the thoughts behind our words. When we are tempted to criticize or gossip or make unkind comments about someone, we can remember Paul's admonition to "let [our] speech always be gracious" (Col. 4:6).

Read Colossians 3:11-17
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
-John 3:16 (NIV)
GOD loves the world. God is father of all people and treats us as sons and daughters who need to find the way of life, love, justice, peace, solidarity, reconciliation, and companionship. Therefore, all of humanity is one family -- a community of brothers and sisters whether or not they are neighbors, the same nationality, or the same race. God's family today is divided into two hemispheres and five continents; many social classes, both powerful and powerless; different races; and different religions.
The church is a community of people who have known and accepted the love of God and have been challenged to love God and neighbors by overcoming barriers that divide people. The church is a community called to work in partnership with God, announcing God's will that we have life, peace, and companionship.
The gospel is the message of God's love and power that invites people to draw close to one another and to work for reconciliation, peace, and justice. God's love makes the human community one family.

Free Will Sermon
Posted 15 years agoKk, I'm at college so this will be a fast one and I don't have my Bible with me so any support of scripture you can give in the comments would be nice....kk, hang on, it's go time!
Why did God give us free will? Simply because who wants a bunch of mindless puppets worshiping them? It be empty worship. But how great is it to have your creations choose to worship you among all else!
For an example, soon technology will get to the point where we can have our own virtual world, the ultimate 'god' game. And in the world you create all your characters and because what ever you think can become real there so you give them free will to see how they will on their own. Now you let them breed, and of course you create all their children, and they are just how you want them...at first. Soon a few stop thinking you exist because you never come down on the world to see them. They think up other 'creators' and praise them instead of you...now your mad at them because they reject you...so you go down to tell them otherwise, but they never seen you, so only a few believe you and the rest ignore you. You return to your perch watching them to see what happens, still in control of them...they are YOUR thoughts manifested after all.
After a few of their millennial (minutes to you...your time line) They all stop believing....your just there to sustain them...without any gratitude. This would anger all of us except for the fact we control them all....with a thought, boom, half of them disappear. While the rest try to reason what happened some find old books about you...and they start believing again...
So now I ask you, if you kept them 'under thumb' would the ones that came back to believe in you still mean as much to you then they all believed in you from the beginning and never question if you existed?
I know most would say: "I would've lived among them from the beginning!"
...God also visited Adam everyday....
"I wouldn't of created evil, everyone would be good!"
Then they would be mindless puppets.
"I'd remind them of me if they disobeyed!"
Noah's Flood, Tower of Babel, and so on.
We know God is around us, we know because with the free will God gave us, we made the choice to see Him and His works. And because we choose to believe, we serve Him with everything we have.
Ever forced someone to do something...they're not real happy and try to rebel ageist it because they didn't choose to do it.
But if you offer them something and give them a choice, they will continue with that choice happily because it was there decision.
That is why we can't force people to believe they will fight it, with nonsense even, so they feel like they have some power over their lives.
Free will is about choice, we serve, obey, and love God because we choose Him just as he choose to make us.
Hmmm, little longer then I originally thought...oh well.

Anyway, I don't know how much time I'll have (if any) to write a sermon this week. I might just do a short one on free will ( request). And no I haven't forgot
request). And no I haven't forgot 's sermon request...just haven't found the right verses for it yet...

And if anyone can tell me the verse that says something along the lines of "no man can imagine the horrors of hell" I'd be very grateful, been looking for that one for weeks, nether concordance in both my Bibles has it...*whimpers*

An Endless Stream
Read Matthew 6:1-4
When you help a needy person, do it in such a way that even your closest friend will not know about it. Then it will be a private matter. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.
--- Matthew 6:34 (TEV)
LATE one evening while studying at the seminary library, I overheard a conversation at a table near mine. The mother of one of the students was ill. He wanted to go home to visit her but could not afford to lose the money he would have earned at his part-time job. I was touched by the story and so, quietly, I found out the student's name. Quite sure that he did not know me, I looked forward to a chance to do something good in secret.
That afternoon I cashed a check for the amount he had mentioned and folded the money in a piece of paper with these words typed on it: "Go see your mother. Love, Jesus." The money and the letter went in an envelope that I placed in the student's campus mailbox. It felt good to know that perhaps I had made a difference in the life of the son and his mother.
An endless stream of kindness could flow from each of us to make the world around us a gentler place. Someday when I am in need, the Lord who has seen what I have done in secret may reward me with just what I need, given by a perfect stranger.

Something That Needs to be Said~
Posted 15 years ago fiver16 here~
fiver16 here~Yeah, I know ya’ll are all wondering why I’m still here after all the drama. Well, I’ll tell ya’ll. I asked DoH if I could make one last post. And my last post will be about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
As some of ya’ll already know, my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when I was 6. She’s had it 3 times since then in different waves and it’s basically put my family on a roller coaster. When cancer strikes, it can really mess with people heads. It actually even was a cause as to why my parents got a divorce. It’s a very scary thought too since about 85% of my immediate family has some form of cancer. That’s where it can mess with your brain. It can cause you to wonder if you’ll get it and if anymore of your family will get it.
That’s where God and faith can come into play. Not only can it put a strain on relationships and stuff in the real world, it can play with your faith just as much. Just think of the cancer being the devil. He wants you to lose your faith in God as much as possible and he wants to win. Luckily, my mom kept her faith and beat the cancer all 3 times. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Thousands of people die each month due to cancer. And that’s why more and more people need to be aware of it. Not just breast cancer but all forms.

Here is a video I made for my Senior year Photography class. It’s on Breast Cancer and I tried to make it as touching as possible. For this month I’m going to be wearing my breast cancer bracelet every single day. I’ve donated the last of my money ($20) to the Susan G. Komen foundation for a Cure. And for the future, I plan on saving up for a fursuit that will be a breast cancer awareness one. It may take a while but I WILL get one.
So for all you furries out there, show some support this month. Be it joining a cancer group, donating money, or just wearing a cancer bracelet to show you care. You don’t have to donate thousands of dollars to make a difference! All you need to do is just show some support whether it be verbally or physically.
