Posted 4 years agoJust a little update in my life. (TW: su***dal thoughts & s*lf h**m)
For a little while there I was getting pretty down on my life. I worked for 3 months at one of the worst jobs of my life after leaving a job that I nearly considered a second home. When I was there I was mentally and verbally abused for things outside of my control (Being left handed as one of them). I was also being pressured at home by my parents to stick with the job and just work harder or try and change what I could in hopes things would get better. Which they didn't. I got to the point that I really didn't want to live anymore. I hated myself, I hated the home I was in, I hated work, I started feeling like there was nowhere in this world for me, and so I'd begun self harming, writing suicide notes, and I was really close to ending things.
I moved out of my parents house, up to a roommate situation in Woodland and was contacted by a place in Elk Grove about a job. Having no other options, I accepted. I've now been at my workplace since last September and it's been one of the best places I've ever worked. Of course it has it's downsides, long hours, a bit of a psycho boss, but my coworkers treat me well, I'm allowed to alter my appearance to what makes me happy, I speak to the people in charge regularly about things that could be improved for those of us who are neurodivergent, and I love it.
Of course, the place in Woodland didn't work out, my roommate ended up flipping her lid on me and I was forced to isolate myself in my room for my own mental wellbeing for several months, and of course, isolation in a small bedroom isn't exactly a healthy thing to do, so with the help of my mother, I found a place up near Arden, which is where I live now, by myself. It's a small, one bedroom apartment a stone's throw from Arden mall and I love it. It's my own little bachelor pad. <3
I'm doing a lot better mentally these days. I'm on the correct meds, I started my journey with pole fitness on 3/21, and I'm becoming the person I was always meant to become.

Posted 9 years agoEEE! I had sooooo much fun! I ended up going with my dear mother who had been going to faire since forever, but had stopped when they moved it from Novato to Casa De Fruta. So I had some awesome mama bird bonding time. Saw several friends there and really enjoyed myself!!! I'm planning on going two more times. The first weekend in october with my brother's girlfriend(cuz she's super sweet and would have been going alone) and again on the 16th!!! Hope to see some of you goobs there!!

Posted 9 years agoHow long is too long to go without hearing from an artist you commissioned? I'm asking because it's usually after 3 weeks to a month that I start dying from curiosity and getting a little bothered if I haven't heard or seen anything. Unless I know that I'm going to be waiting longer than that due to a full queue or other previously discussed things, I tend to start sending little "hey what's up?" messages. Is that too soon? Is that being annoying and a shitty commissioner? What's you guys' opinions?

Its a nickname(and a character in progress) that I personally have grown quite fond of and become very personally attached to. So uh... I guess this is me saying that I would prefer that people now refer to me as and call me Robo? I know it's weird and kind of annoying, but just bear with me, okay? Thanks. Suggestions for makers?
Posted 10 years agoAnyone have any suggestions for realistic suit makers? I might be getting myself a cut and hinged Gryph resin mask and I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for suit makers! I don't wanna commission anyone big like Clockwork or nothing (Maybe a little intimidated by super big expensive makers like that). But someone who has some experience making realistic partials and would love to work on something kind of unique and different. I figured I'd ask around in case someone has a friend or a friend of a friend. Thanks guys. You rock! :D
