First login since the last big hack.
Not doing too great lately, so it took me a while. Sort of a post-quarter (2/5ths?? 1/3rd???) life crisis. Re-evaluating a lot of things... Not really sure what I'm doing.

Went to see Zootopia today... Best movie I've seen in years! Or at least the most fun / meaningful.
It had a major equality undertone that crossed over several different areas.

If you run across anyone doing a Nick Wilde (the fox in Zootopia) plush, please let me know. I'd REALLY love a big one.

Man, I wasn't sure I was going to get here in one piece.
That's the last time I ever ride the light-rail!
Last time, I had people talking in front of me about where they illegally acquire firearms.
This time, a kid was threatening my life.
He sat down next to me and started yelling at me -
telling me I was a "target" and analyzing me.
Told me I blinked too much!
He was completely out of his mind.
I thought about trying to go for the door, but he might have just followed me. - Then I could've been stuck on an empty train platform with the guy.
I am in no condition to be able to defend myself, btw.
Finally some nice lady from further back in the train-car came and got me to come back and sit with her.
She was a "recovering" meth addict with giant razor blade in her pocket. She said if he'd tried to do anything, she'd stab him. :D
So we got off the train together and met up with her large group of friends... All of the same story as her and mostly a bit off... But hey! Who's gonna be picky at a time like this?
So she disappears to "get medicated" and leaves me with an older guy with a cast around his neck.
He's very very nice together we come up with a plan.
I was concerned that the kid might be waiting further down the tracks, so we headed back the direction we came - by one stop, and called me a taxi. It was a bit hard getting a taxi though.... because everyone he tried to talk to or ask to help was terrified of him... but eventually a taxi came!
The driver was afraid to roll down his window at first, but I got in eventually and got a nice cheap trip the rest of the way to the hotel.

I'm still really shaken up about it...
I managed to get a couple hours of sleep just now, but that may be all i can pull down tonight. I can't stop replaying it all in my head.


As for the con,
Wow! There's a lot more vending this year!
It kinda seemed like there wasn't as much fuzzy stuff though. :(
...must have more soft things...
All the hotel staff I've encountered this year seem a bit disgruntled. I guess they're not excited like last year.
There also didn't seem to be a special con menu this year, which was a bit disappointing. - or maybe they haven't given it to them yet? I dunno.
Had a lot of fun at a couple of the panels yesterday.
Hopefully antics will continue. ^_^

I've been back and circling around for a bit now so I'm pushing the old journal off my page to avoid any potential confusion.

Hopefully I'll be finishing my slippers soon so I'll try to get some pics up of those as soon as they're done. :-P

I'm going to have to go away for a while until I can sort myself out.

I just lost my cat, who was to me, a very close friend and member of my very small family.
The bond we had was something I can't even come close to communicating in words but she was almost like a second mother and a best friend.
It wasn't hard to tell how much she adored me and cared for me like her kitten.
And I'll miss rubbing her fuzzy little belly so much. X'(
She always cared for me when I was sick, made sure I got to bed on time, smelled my food (not because she wanted some but) to make sure it was ok, sat by me while i worked in any part of the house, worried when I was away, rushed to listen to me in the phone when I'd call home, came to visit me if I couldn't sleep, and so so much more.
Every time I come around a corner, I find myself thinking about her. It's going to take a while to get used to this. I'm not sure I'll be the same person when it's done.
