Feel like I've been exceptionally quiet around here, so I thought I'd give everyone a brief update on how things are going on my end.

If you follow me on BlueSky or you're subscribed to my Patreon, then you're probably aware that things went a bit wacky on my visit to Türkiye which caused a lot of things to get out of whack. I planned on giving patrons a 2 week early access period, but with the delay that occurred that means that the delay for everyone else is shifted into the future. I've posted previews over on BlueSky of all the upcoming pieces that'll be here at some point, but I feel a bit weird about posting cropped versions on FA for some reason.

Aaaanyway, most of my time has been dedicated to whittling my way through my commission backlog from the big sale (really sorry for the delay to everyone that's still in the queue, but your time should be coming up shortly!). I also did some Patreon exclusive requests, some of which I've already posted on here, and some which are still in the pipeline.

Edit: Small update: Managed to find my drivers license (which I fortunately remembered to bring even if future me didn’t remember until now). Hopefully that will help with the application process. My wife is also recovering steadily, she’s pumped full of pain killers so she’s feeling on cloud 9. I’m slightly less anxious now and I’d just like to extend a massive thanks to everyone who’s reached out so far. I really appreciate you guys. 🙏

Anyone got some hopium for the next 4 years not being a complete hell world? 😞 The only solace I have is that I don’t currently live in America anymore and the state I did live in was blue - not that it really helps either way considering how much this is going to affect Europe. Maybe it won’t be as bad as I imagine, y’know? He wouldn’t really get away with having American importers pay tariffs on literally everything from the rest of the world, yea? And he won’t just hand over Ukraine to Russia and Palestine to Israel, right…? I try to be optimistic, even in times like this, but it’s hard to see the ray of light here - my heart bleeds for basically every minority in America, no matter which way they voted.

Just know that, if you’re feeling like I’m feeling, you’re not alone. All hope isn’t lost, we can still fight for a better tomorrow. Please take care of yourself, everyone.

My tablet broke and then I went on vacation to the current hellscape that is my family's home in the American south. I decided to take an extended break from drawing stuff since it's been causing me unnecessary stress and distancing myself from that has done wonders.

That said, with time to think I've managed to come up w/ a schedule I'm a lot more comfortable with (previously I was drawing literally every day for 80% of the day, super unhealthy). Also I bought a new tablet, so it'd be a waste not to use it!

But also I'm going away to Korea for 3 months on the 21st, so while I might post some stuff between now and then, expect another pause in uploads at that point (hopefully I'm able to find some time to doodle at least, but I won't make any promises).

Hope everything's going well for all you guys! Sorry if I've disappointed anyone for disappearing for so long, but I hope you can appreciate why I had to dip. 🙏

- fucked up how they removed all the glasgow nation-building and replaced it with fucking london of all places, read the book if you liked the movie
- also mark ruffalo's acting was the worst part about this movie, it was fucking awful

mean girls bad

- i like the original movie n the broadway production but i was literally falling asleep in the theater for this one
- all the changes were bad, it was very how-do-you-do-fellow-kids coded
- auli'i cravalho as janice was good ... that's about the only good thing in this movie

Incase anyone was wondering where I'd vanished to: I've been super burned out with art lately, I feel like I was putting way too much pressure on myself and it was leading to very nihilistic thoughts about everything to do with what I make.

Having this (exceptionally long) break has helped me a lot though. When I do return to posting, I think I'll try and go the Patreon route so everything's a bit more rigid and a lot less stressful. I don't blame anyone for how I was feeling, to be clear, it was all on me and how I approached things. I really enjoyed making pieces for everyone who commissioned me, and I greatly appreciate everyone who's enjoyed my work.

I've also been fiddling around with making a wee game in Unity that I might manage to finish. If I do, that'll probably be the next time you hear from me. 👍

Just arrived back in Scotland from a long long trip to Korea (and also Japan)!

Got to experience Tokyo Disney for 3 days, which were pretty jam-packed (ended up riding basically every ride, including the new Beauty and the Beast dark ride which is A+++++ the stuff they pulled off in the pre-show alone is insaaane).

Anyway, expect me to actually resume posting art here soon!

Also I saw that movie The Menu on my flight and holy shit it’s so good, highly recommend. But Skinamarink… didn’t hit for me. 😬I liked a few bits but it just felt super one note… The Menu tho, sooo00oo good!

Played through this last night and was super impressed with the first half. The opening is extremely good and though I hoped it would go in a different direction, the first two levels were really strong. Past that it goes into a territory that I didn't find particularly spooky (very clearly The Caretaker inspired stuff), but it's worth finishing anyway since it's so short (about 30min~1 hour).

Would definitely recommend if you're into indie horror walking sims. Also, for maximum spookiness, would recommend playing at night with the lights off - the beginning is super effective that way imo.
