Slight update:
Posted 8 years agoA very small update to point out I updated my commissions price sheet today. You can find the new model(which is also the featured picture on my gallery now) here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23060141/
I've also completed a bunch of recent artwork recently, samples of which you can look at here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23045988/
I also have a werecreature YCH digital painting commission offer open right now. This one is first come first served. Once it find a taker, the current upload will be removed until I complete the painting: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23046088/

Hey there. Still alive, mostly lurking(here, anyway)
Posted 8 years agoHey there, this is just a journal to say I'm still alive, though right now I'm still mostly lurking.
I still comment and fave here and there, but otherwise I'm not following stuff too closely(it's not infrequent I nuke my notification box when it grows too big between visits).
Consider today's journal post a bit of "what the fuck a crow has been up to since all that radio silence".
Otherwise I've actually still been active, but mostly on my Twitter/Weasyl/Transfur(they remain the easier sites for me to keep track off while I'm busy, and even then I've decided to upload art only when I feel the quality/level is worth it. People who like my painted work may like this but those who care for sketch sequences may be disapointed). Overall, even if I'd stopped posting here I've always continued to take on commissions as followers on Weasyl and Twitter or patrons on my Patreon can attest.
January has been pretty busy with a lot of digital painting made as people following me elsewhere may already be aware though February hasn't seen me make as much art as I wanted(in big part I've been dealing with anxiety again though I'm working on managing that).
Overall I've begun tentatively stretching what I work on into different types of avenues and genre. Some people may like, some people less so. But it's been a bit fun to at least get to get on one notable non-TF painting recently and flex my art muscles with themes different than what I'm usually asked to.
I'm still unsure when I'll resume posting art here or in what form, but I figured folks may enjoy a bit of an update rather than continuing to watch a stale gallery.
This said, if I have a major announcement to make in the future, do expect me to share words of here as well.
In the meanwhile, here's where I'm still mostly active:
Transfur: Generally updated. Most confirmed TF works I feel good about get shared there, even some of the basic sketches.
http://www.transfur.com/Users/fringedog/Gallery
Weasyl: I try to keep this one up to date as well, though generally I tend to post only digital painting or toned paper traditional inks. Sketch level stuff is something I've decided to not clutter the gallery there anymore. This mean slower frequency in uploads, but ones I feel are generally a much better quality... and frankly, more satisfying for me to share and receive comments on.
https://www.weasyl.com/~ludocrow
Twitter: Where I'm most active, and even take(or share contact infos with interested clients) a fair bit of commissions. I do warn I can semi-frequently share a lot of politics stuff and occasional rant. Nonetheless this is the account that I keep the most up to date at all time. Just expect a lot of rambling between every actual art uploads.
https://twitter.com/fringecrow
Patreon: There's also my Patreon, which is possibly the place I keep the most up to date after my Twitter and can be assured to be almost entirely focused around my artwork. I try to keep it updated frequently, and patrons have access to a lot of exclusive piece of artwork, warmups and practices I have never posted anywhere else. Some months are slower than other, but I still do my best to make it worth it for all my patrons.
https://www.patreon.com/Fringecrow?alert=1
Redbubble: Finally but not least, I've opened some time ago a tiny storefront on Redbubble. The place is very sparse and still doesn't have a whole lot of content, but I certainly think some people here may find a couple of works there that may be of interest to them. I consider this a bit of an interesting avenue for more experimental works that I feel have potential but generally got outside of my usual spheres. I very much expect to continue growing the place gradually as time pass however.

Back from the
Posted 8 years agoWhere to find me:
Posted 9 years agoCurrently still in hiatus. Long story but a short one to explain: the summer has been hell and it's worked hell on my ability to keep art uploaded. So support for my FA gallery hat to go down since it's always the one that felt the most like a chore in regard to the process of uploading art... and I've still had no lacking of art work to do or fires to put out in RL.
Stuff is still not over yet and I've still not hit a super low in regard to workload of commissioned workdespite not posting on FA for months, so the hiatus may last longer. If there's anything major I'll like post here for a bit for an announcement or such but right now I'm concentrating my energies in other places and priorities(like trying to get my house back in order after a bedbug infestation just last month).
In the meanwhile, here's places where you can find my or my work and where I *am* still active:
Twitter, where you can find not only my more recent uploads but also other awesome artists I like to retweet:
https://twitter.com/Fringecrow
Weasyl, which I generally keep up to date since uploads on the site are easy to perform even if I'm less "verbally" active with commenting/journals:
https://www.weasyl.com/~ludocrow
Patreon(of course), which is updated monthly with patreon commission sketches alongside exclusive personal art that I have been producing more readily again now that all the craziness has been quieting down. Expect not just TF art, but likely also Fantasy and Scifi artwork that I otherwise don't always get to experiment with:
https://www.patreon.com/Fringecrow
Transfur: A gallery site I've had for a while now. It's focused 100% around TF currently, but the place is nonetheless 20 years old and thus still include a lot of artists whose art still date as far back as that. Thus it has accumulated a fair collection of art that date as far back as the very TF fandom itself and is still active to this day. Even at it's current age, it's still notable as one of the websites to features a "sequence" upload feature that I still have yet to see elsewhere:
http://www.transfur.com/Users/fringedog
Now I'm also thinking of expanding on a couple of other platforms(perhaps reactivate my deviantart though I am not fully decided yet... and if I do it might not be as TF centric as my usual galleries) and if I do, do likely expect an announcement. A lot of it is mostly just in the planning stage still however.

FA hiatus, you can follow me on Twitter/Transfur/Weasyl
Posted 9 years agoShort version: I'll be taking a hiatus from FA for a while, with maybe the occasional journal.
However, do expect my Twitter(really, my main hub for contacts and networking), my Weasyl and (more importantly for you TF fans) my Transfur to be kept up to date as often as I can. You can find the links below:
Twitter: https://twitter.com/Fringecrow?lang=en (used to be my private account but may now become my main "furry" account)
Transfur: http://www.transfur.com/Users/fringedog (TF content only. For those who like my TF work, though, this may be a plus)
Weasyl: https://www.weasyl.com/~ludocrow (I've always kept my Weasyl as up to date as possible. Recent events just give me more reasons to).
For the short story, I've had a very rough month.
I won't be angry(really, I'm not, we all have to do business) at people who still uses/need it, but FA's recent downtime in the midst of trying to recover from it was the cherry that landed at the top of the cake.
I've done the math, and right now I'm getting more traffic/contacts/commissions/networking through social medias and groups I joined thanks to people on social medias than I have had from any galleries. So for now, I'll be focusing on my Twitter while using my galleries(transfur, Weasyl) as more of a mean and place to archive my art for people who follow or find me on social medias to look at a more complete work. And for that goal, with my commission business contacts having spread mostly out of FA(even if a fair amount of commissioners still uses it for browsing art), Weasyl and Transfur suffices me(seriously though, it you like TF art.... give a look at Transfur. Great TF artists are on there and it's where most of my clients found me before even watching me on FA).
Bearing no ill will for people using FA, mind you. Most of you are all cool :)
I just need to refocus my attentions elsewhere for a bit(especially with starting to get commissions from RL folks too). I may return more actively once things simmer down a bit. May still give the occasional journal update but we'll see.
In the meanwhile, you all now have my Twitter(it's where I'm the most active, socially as well), my Weasyl and specifically my Transfur(which I still consider the best place for quality TF artwork).
Longer version of what's been up on my end leading me to this decision:
To be short, the month has been horrible on my end.
Between a break-in on my dad's land, a LOT of gathering to attends... two week ago a drainage pipe has clogged up and flooded the basement.
Trying to figure the origin/source of the problem and dealing with the flooding cost me that entire week.
Afterward, I lost close to -another- week last week due to the massive work of emptying all of that basement so it can be put in storage for the incoming repair works where the whole floor will be replacement while the drain pipe is also itself replaced.
Meanwhile, one of the terminals for TV at the beginning of the last week ALSO got fried for unrelated reasons thus leading us to a lot of really "unfun" moments as well while dealing with the replacement part of that.
With all of such work starting -this- week, I'm also expecting to be heckuva busy and just hope I can catch back on lost time nonetheless.
So while trying to deal with this, I'll be still trying to catch back on lost work.
Recent events though only also reminded me of the difficulties of managing multiple galleries. So I'll try to take a break from that and refocus my attention on a few in the meanwhile. I know lots of people watch my here and guenuinely, I apologizes. But for now while I've got some amount of commissions through FA people, I've had more from social medias and contacts I got from there. So in the meanwhile I'll try to focus on that.
If things get better, or else, maybe I'll be more active here but I'll see. So this isn't a farewell. More like a "going on a vacation" from FA stuff. In the meanwhile, there's still a ton of places you can still find my works
Personally I've always liked Transfur a lot. It's specialized in transformation artwork which a lot of my fans should appreciate(in fact, a lot of them found me there first before finding out I even had a FA!) and ton of quality artists are there. It's also due to eventually updated in a new form which should include a ton of very fun features(especially for writers!).
Otherwise, Weasyl has remained a solid gallery for me. There's less traffic there obviously as people say... but as a place to archive a copy of all of my art, it has so far worked perfectly in that role.
And finally, the fact is Twitter has already sort of become my main "hub" already. Over the start of the year(even somewhat before that too), it's where I met the most other artists, viewers and even commissioners and other people who also invited me within their social networks outside of twitter or FA where I met other people who became either friends, commissions or both. So I've grown to the point where for me a gallery is more of a place where I can archive my art than where I network or find clients.
Plus, there's something to be said about how Twitter, and how it's furry-agnostic and thus not beholden to any specific sites, is also thus a very nice place for furries centered on different sites can still meets and chat up with each others without having to make a furry account on the other sites. There is really something to be said about all the awesome friends I have met there both within and without the furry community(and in this regard, I have to give a shout-out to my many friends and fellow artists on "werewolf twitter" and the awesomeness that was had with them)
If anything, I'll just consider stuff as a reason to further clean up my act there and be more active/"professional" on social media. :)
I may return(likely will) but again, for people who want to follow my recent works you can find it there:
-Transfur: http://www.transfur.com/Users/fringedog (awesome TF=centric website by and for TF fans)
-Twitter: https://twitter.com/Fringecrow?lang=en (where this bird-headed birb that I am blab out the most. Feel free to follow me/chat up/etc with me there)
-Weasyl: https://www.weasyl.com/~ludocrow (my gallery away from FA, which is just as up to date)
Edit: While I'm at it, other awesome folks I've met through different places:
https://twitter.com/Somnilux A friend and frequent commissioner, who also created the "Dreamcatcher" universe and personal RPG setting around which gathered a lot of awesome folks, many of which I can also consider nowdays friends.
https://twitter.com/Howlitzer One of the friends I met through what I now refer to as "werewolf Twitter". Awesome werewolf TF artist and werewolf shitposting master. Another person I'm very glad to know.
https://twitter.com/TeknicolorTiger
https://twitter.com/Harvey_Art
Two of the best artists of "werewolf Twitter". I already follow TeknicolorTiger on Patreon where she posts awesome art, and own Wolfskulljack(HarveyArt)'s artbook alongwise one of the shirts from her store.
https://twitter.com/HamsterToybox Very fun and nice werewolf artist :)
https://twitter.com/WerewolfNews I don't think the "werewolf twitter" community would be a thing without WerewolfNews. They are the host of the site of the same name, and thus a very fine purveyor of all news Werewolves(and sometimes general horror as well). While not started by them, I do not think #drawawerewolfday on both Twitter and Tumblr would have kept going as long as it had.

New Commissions Pricelist+Prepose Commissions!
Posted 9 years agoThe News
As people can now see, there's a new Commission Pricelist.
Long story told, prices were due to be updated and a new pricelist that was more in line with the actual works offered needed to be made available. Tentatively is now a discount for small 2-3 sequences of flat and shaded color pictures.
Part of the reason to restrict it such is that with the ability to set pictures in a same background and the costs already associated with color images make it really only doable at the higher levels, whereas 2-3 images is the "sweet spot" at which I can still retain an acceptable work flow when it comes to TF sequences.
Also new, as another option for commissions discounts, are new preposed commissions. Right now this is the only set this month, but there might be more later depending on how quickly I fill and go through my commission queue.
You can find the current pair here in fact:
Prepose Were Commission-1
Prepose Were Commission-2 (Taken by :Carissa: )
Note that as a special thank you offer to my Patreon backers, all 5$+ backers gets firt dibs on future prepose commissions for a period of one week before they are made available anywhere else.
All of this said, I hope you are okay with the new prices and I look forward to doing further business with commissioners here!
Recent Artwork and Commissions
So far April has been very productive the first week of the month has seen almost all of my Patreon personalized sketch rewards completed. Some still need to be finished before I compile them together and post here but as they are available publically to all viewers without backing, you can still get a glimpse at them here in their full resolution: https://www.patreon.com/Fringecrow?ty=h
Monthly Patreon Painting:
After a lack of painting in February, I have finally completed a new painting in March which I am rather proud of:
A Witch of Fire and Metal
Patreon Rewards:
While I have still some sketches to complete for April, you can still find the compiled version of all of March's personalized Patreon sketches rewards HERE

[Update]-Commissions prices going up wednesday.
Posted 9 years agoThe News
Just a head's up as I am opening my current commission slots(as you can see above), this week will see my commissions prices increase on wednesday this week alongside the posting of an update pricelist.
Compared to the old one, high level commissions(flat colors and up) will not change much with just a 5$ price hike as the time they took me has generally always been in line with the effort going into them.
However, the category which will see the biggest hike will be sketches going from 15$ to 25$, while inked pieces will be rising from 35 to 45$ to represent more accurately the time and effort that goes into the sketching and composition phases of a pieces before going into the detailed phase that inking represents.
If you want to nab a commission at my old prices, you thus have up to wednesday to reserve one of the free slots!

Witch of Fire and Metal
Patreon Rewards:
While I have still some sketches to complete for April, you can still find the compiled version of all of March's personalized Patreon sketches rewards HERE
Just a head's up as I am opening my current commission slots(as you can see above), this week will see my commissions prices increase on wednesday this week alongside the posting of an update pricelist.
Do note that currently two of the slots due to a special offer that will be revealed on Wednesday, which 5$+ Patreon backers have already known about today.

[Update]-Work goes on and keeping busy!
Posted 9 years agoThe News
Work goes on at a pretty decent pace!
I've finished last week all of the commissions in my queue which thus mean that on this last week of March I've been able to continue works on ton of personal projects pretty much unhindered. A fair amount of previews and WIPs have even started being posted on my Patreon for those who are backers there.
I'm also preparing content for a friend as well as one of my sibling to see at an art table at a small local Quebec city anime convention which may be a semi-decent test bed of something I'd very much been considering for a long while at least. I'll see how that goes. :)
Recent Artwork and Commissions
A fair bit more artwork this time around, in no small part thanks to completing all the commissions in my current queue
Monthly Patreon Painting:
The painting for March is finally done, thus resuming my cycle of producing a new digital painting every month and will thus be released at the start of April once the period of Patreon exclusivity has passed. In the meanwhile, here are the current past monthly paintings:
-A distant tower, standing atop a rocky mountain, out of reach for most: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18329439/
-A mystical crystal cradled in in the interwoven roots of an ancient tree: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18393122/
-A freshly changed werewolf in the snow, remnants of her human self still clinging to her new body in tatters: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18739501/
Patreon Rewards:
You can find the compiled version of all of March's personalized Patreon sketches rewards HERE
But if you prefer to see the full-sized images at their original resolution, you can find them all on my Patreon through these links(note that images with mature content requires people to pledge at least 1$ to see):
-01-A female werewolf, now finished changing and sniffing the remain of her human attire with curiosity
-02-Another female werewolf of a more humanoid style, based on a certain celebrity
-03-Just some guy changing into an horse
-04-A freshly changed crazed looking werewolf woman
-05-Fanart of Mei from Overwatch
-06-A man realizing he's changing into a lion
-07-Woman transforming into a bunny

One Week Later-Commissions open!
Posted 9 years agoThe News
A week since the last update. It's actually been pretty productive!
As per my new work schedule, I dedicated the entire first week of the month to Patreon work. As a result, I have completed all of the personalized sketch rewards except for one which I am still waiting on the subject for. Once I receive that I will finish it off, group everything together, and post it all on public galleries as done recently.
This said, now that the "Patreon first" week of the month has passed, I am now focusing(and opening) regular commissions again for this week and the next.
As with last month, the last week of the month will be work on special personal projects(I have definitively liked how things have been going with them so far, I hope I can tell more soon).
Currently this week will be busy with some errands, but I already have two commissions to work on and thus I feel capable of opening slots for two more. Looking forward to how things will be going :)
Recent Artwork and Commissions
Recent art remains mostly the same. I have been working on "Things" but sadly nothing much that I can show(yet).
I do hope to reach enough progress this month to have more things to tease, though, if not the finished thing however :)
Recent Commissions:

Monthly Patreon Painting:
Updated monthly. Patreon backers get access to the current month's reward as soon as completed.
-Due to delays, the painting for February was not completed and likely will be rolled into March's painting and, if I can pull it off, I may try to get two paintings done in March.
Patreon Rewards:
With the delays this month(from late works and then issues with my first ADD med causing major anxiety), I've changed up a bit the format for posting Patreon Commission Sketches here.
Rather than individually posting them, from now on I may start posting all of a month's completed sketches within a single files, with link to all of the uploads on Patreon(who are, except for NSFW pics, viewable by everyone) in the description. Having to post art on two galleries at once, it is so MUCH easier for me to do this that way.

Update-February's end.
Posted 9 years agoThe News
Has it been a whole month already since the last journal? Apparently it has!
My apologies for the slow pace of updates this month. Mostly, February has seen me stuck catching on old art from the last month, dealing with some minor issues(mainly with my ADD and a change of medication which so far has helped a ton).
But this said, the last week of the month has seen me finally able to start work officially on a personal project about which I cannot say much right now but it is my hopes you folks watching me will really like in. To a degree, it is in part because of it that I have not advertised as much for commissions toward the month's end so I could better focus on laying the foundations for this project before the new month rolled in with Patreon sketches to work on.
This said, we are going to enter March and, now with no late works to delay me, this mean a we returning to our work schedule as usual with this week dedicated to March's Patreon Rewards commissions and then regular commissions following next(before continuing my personal project on the last week if not earlier).
Also a small announcement:
After much pondering... for the foreseeable future I will not be taking TF sequences works except for 2 images deals like a before/after design research work or something of the like.
If anything... exploring the differences between the "before" and the "after" forms from a design point of view is where I truly feel most comfortable with rather than trying to figure out the granular details of a transformation's progression.
I feels I work best when having a specific "moment" within a scene in mind than trying to draw out the granular progression of a transformation if it makes sense.
I may later exceptionally accept a 4 or 5 images deal... but, with me already working on one for the time being, consider those closed off for the moment. This decision is part due to the stress/logistics I have to deal with larger sequences that makes them hard for me to work with.
More than likely, future sequences work might come later mostly from limited pre-posed offers and the likes so I have a better handle of what I'm dealing with when it comes to calculating my workload and figuring out my schedule.

Final January Sprint(soon done)+"New" Twitter
Posted 9 years agoHey there folks!
Just a small update to give an head's up on thing, but sadly no new art here(yet! Patreon rewards on Patreon and I just need a moment to post them on here and Weasyl!).
Right now I'm busy doing a last sprint to finish all January Patreon rewards before February rolls in, in just a couple of days. Currently there is two rewards and, if I can pull it, two non-Patreon commissions left.
Once February starts next week, I will be focusing on all of the month's Patreon rewards and only that for the first week. Current commission work will resume(with similar priority, unless I empty my queue) for the next two following weeks.
Then the last week(or sooner, if commissions are empty) will be focused solely around personal works which might get teased on my Patreon.
This month's digital painting for Patreon is late, but should be finished early next month to post online immediately.
On another note, I've recently unlocked my current Twitter account for a bit. This is a tentative thing, but as I am verbally more active there, it's a good place to figure out what's going on my end. Similarly, I've begun to take -some- commissions there more actively, so always feel free to get in touch with me there as well(though currently non-Patreon commissions will be on hold until the second week of February).
The second half of january has been quite stressful with impromptu renovations, not -exactly- planned acquisition(such as getting a new TV to replace an old CRT model that was finally failing down on us) and other events, so I've definitively not felt as able to keep the big galleries and their journal as up to date.
Anyhow, you can find my current Twitter here: https://twitter.com/Fringecrow
Just note that it originally was meant to be more of a private account and only recently decided to unlock it most tentatively because people began to contact me for commissions there over any of my "formal" galleries like FA or Weasyl.
If I've any reasons to believes to be made unduly uncomfortable/etc without logical reasons, I won't hesitate to lock it down again without a moment notice and the most passing remark on this journal. I've already got plenty to deal with on my plates.
Just saying.

Small update: Pondering work reorganization:
Posted 9 years agoIt's something I've already discussed over on m Patreon but next month I'm thinking a bit of reorganizing how I tackle various projects.
It might not affect the productions of artwork or even commissions all that much, but would indeed change the order in which I tackle thing. That's something I've slowly been mulling around my head as I'm tackling my monthly Patreon rewards/commissions alongside my regular commissions and how I tackle personal projects as well... the later having very often pushed back due to work and timing with the former two.
Ultimately, I hope the changes will further help productivity for all categories of projects.
As it stands, what I'm thinking of doing is to separate the "work months" in different sets of weeks where priority would be given to each categories of projects at their own times.
Part of the reasons for deciding this was often finding myself trying to complete Patreon rewards and commissions all at once, leading to a lot of disorganization
Note that these changes will not come into action before next month in February if I take this course of action. This should leave me plenty time to finishes current patreon and commissions work so that they are unaffected by the changes next month.
As it stands, the order I'm looking for is to make the first week of a month solely focused on Patreon work, then make the second focused on commissions(and unfinished Patreon rewards) and uses the third week to finish up commissions before moving on exclusively with work on a project of mine in the fourth week to then repeat this pattern the following month. Journal updates will be used to make announcement for the focus of each work week and thus is commissions are On Hold or Open.
This will be different from how I worked before, but at the same time I always found some amount of pride at the speed I can complete commissions. It is thus my hopes that by separating all those different categories of projects, I will thus be able to complete all of them faster and more efficiently than I have used to so hopefully even when Commissions become "On Hold" again there will be no leftover works in my queue.
I may post another journal later this week a more detailed version of this schedule to explain in more details how every weeks will be handled.

Short Weekly Update and Goodbye to 2015
Posted 9 years agoChristmas Week might have delayed me a bit, but I managed to resume artwork proper again this week. While I have little to show, expect a couple of new pictures once 2016 roll in : )
With all of this said, it's with happiness that I now have to bid 2015 farewell and with hope that 2016 turns even better.
2015 has not always been easy, even very hard for me at times. But at the same time it has planted the seeds of good things and hopes which I hope 2016 will see bloom.

Monthly(and hopefully weekly from now on) update.
Posted 10 years agoThe News
So the last month has been... well, a bit of an handful and didn't go quite as much as I planned. But this said I'm now making progress both in therapy and artwork.
Right now, almost all of my Patreon rewards are completed and formatted for posting and thus only waiting only for the backers' response before getting on to do that. Expect more artwork to be posted soon as a result ^^

Life Update
Now, on a more general update kind of thing, those who have followed me for a bit might know that around July/August I began to undergo therapy. It has been ongoing since then to help me with issues like anxiety, a too constant companion of mine, but also try and find some of the things that may have been a source of it for me in the past especially at work. One of such discoveries may be that I may very well have suffered from ADD for years if not longer without knowing it. Which would goes a long way to explain why I have often always felt so unfocused so frequently in the past... to not mention past jobs where it got so severe as to literally reaches into the fields of literal disorientation sometime itself reaching a point of feeling almost physically ill at its worst when at a past job so much was going on I was never able to keep track of it anymore without feeling sensory overload.
As a result of this discovery I have a rendez-vous booked with my doctor in early december which will see us specifically tackling medication treatment to finally start treating it after so many years.
I know there will likely be some trial and error and many friends with experience of medication have warned me of this... whilst also telling me it will be for the best once the proper product and dosage is found.
Having started this process feeling almost crippled by anxiety and negative thoughts, but now knowing what likely went unknown for so many years I can only feel eager to start that process.

Open for commissions!
Posted 10 years agoJust a new journal to state I am open for commissions. While my queue can stretch beyond that, here is a short one to give an idea of things for those interested to get in. Note that I go by a stance of 1 slot=1 picture.

Wedding, commissions queue update and Patreon
Posted 10 years agoSo I have a big event coming up this weekend to keep me busy a lot, and that event is my brother's weekend where he will be marrying his girlfriend and fiancee of now many years.
This'll be a busy event and as a result the whole of my family is driving tomorrow to Montreal for a 3 days stay to attend the mass on saturday. With a BBQ friday, the wedding saturday and a brunch Sunday, it's promising to be quite a busy weekend.
This said, despite all the wedding frenzy, I managed to get a lot done. Expect a lot of artwork to start being posted on monday as Patreon reward sketches are all already complete and I have basically only 3 commissions pictures left to work on.
Needless to say, I am very much open for commissions :)
As said, I managed to complete most of the Patreon reward sketches already which mean I will be quick to start working on more personal artworks for the Patreon(and possibly other projects...) alongside further commissions :)

Update, Patreon, Commissions currencies, TF sequences
Posted 10 years agoHello folks. A most busy month has passed for me, half of it more or less taken by post-convention sickness so art proper has been slower than I would have liked. This said all of September's patreon rewards have been completed as have some commissions been to be uploaded soon.
Now everyone by now has heard about the Patreon hack, the personal infos and messages leaked. At first some thought it was a Gamergate-sponsored attacked against Patreon for it's banning of projects meant to defame targets of Gamergate... since then, things seems to hint that it was nonetheless trolls trying to rile up Gamergate in the first place.
At this rate it matters little and with Patreon's own fault in their handling of security(a fault apparently shared by -many-, perhaps thousands, sites to a scary level, according to ars technica http://arstechnica.com/security/201.....it-was-hacked/)... what is done is done.
Some people are leaving Patreon.... myself I have to consider staying. Currently, even if small, it represent too large a chunk of my income to afford to drop it like a cold fish. If an alternative rise up, I will give it a look but at the same time.... there is no other alternative in the -now- that I know of for me to consider leaving right away is the truth. But I understand if friends and backers are moving away after the hack.
I just hate being made into ammunition for one's assuhole's trolling.
No to go back to the wider subject of art commissions...
I'll be frank, while commissions have been doing okay, finances wise things might still be better. I've mulled things over the last couple of month so while I do not intend to outright change my prices, I have decided to take commissions payments exclusively in US dollar for now on.
Payment in CAD will be refunded and an invoice in USD will thus be sent to commissioners who accidently paid in another currency.
Following on the subject of commissions I am updating my rules for TF sequences.
Basically I will still take sequences commissions.
However due to the logistic and effort they require over single images commissions, I will not accept more than one sequence commission per month. Status for TF sequences commissions will thus be stated on my profile whether I am open or closed to such comissions for the month.
Due to the long effort it takes to produces them, I put secondary priority over completing a sequence versus completing single image commissions which will receive first priority.
This is due to events multiple times in the past where the attrition of working on a sequence would limit my ability to remain productive on them, but my difficulties to feel like I could move on to other projects until the sequence was completed led me to suffer delays not just with the TF sequence but all other.
This said, once commissioned TF sequences WILL be completed within one month of being commissioned as a self-imposed deadline I put upon myself.
For clarification, I consider a sequence any work including 3 pictures or more.
In rare instances(such as receiving a particularly quick to complete sequence), I will work on more than one sequence in a month but never on more than one at a time. In such case, my profile and journal will be updated accordingly.

Guidelines for TF sequences to be updated soon
Posted 10 years agoThis is just a head's up that I intend to update my guidelines for TF sequences(and sequential works in general) very soon come next month, due to a variety of reasons.
For a pre-emptive TL:DR : I will continue to take on sequential work commissions, but there will be more guidelines regulating them to make things easier for me when receiving multiple projects.

Back, also: con cruds
Posted 10 years agoSo I'm back from Fan Expo 2015. I must say I had a ton of fun with
Caturnalia and
K-Libra amongst others. The convention was most enjoyable with ton of stuff going on and visiting Toronto was ton of fun as well.
Most sadly, though, I seem to have come under a bout of con crud which has more or less knocked me down and unable to do much anything since returning. Currently it has in fact reached the level of "mind numbing splitting headache".
So, more news and (hopefully) new pics once I'm feeling less out of sort and sick.

Fan Expo 2015
Posted 10 years agoA bit of a very late head's up, but I will be leaving for Fan Expo on September 2 until the 7th where I will be meeting with a couple of friend there and likely take the occasion to visit Toronto a bit as well.
As such I've been mostly busy preparing but still did some small amount of art to likely be posted when I return.

RELEASING TODAY-Werewolves Versus!
Posted 10 years agoSoon to be releasing today: the first issue of Werewolves Versus!:
Werewolves Versus the 90s!
This here is the preview for a piece I produced for this project, which is a pay-what-you-want eZine to be soon released today and which you can learn more about here: http://werewolvesversus.tumblr.com/
Included will be a ton of artwork, short stories and others all to a central theme of Werewolves and staples of the nineties. One of the short stories is even literally title "Werewolves versus Dial-Up" and I can't wait to read that one after seeing the preview(and any nineties kids can certainly attest to all the rage-inducing frustrations that dial-up could be!).
Like said, this is a pay what you want deal(read: you can even get it for free) BUT at the same time any earnings from this projects is to be equally shared between all the participating creators.
So while you can get this for free(read: FREE), any money you put in this will go to helping a ton load of people -and- make a second issue more likely to happen.
So, long story told short:
I just got to take part in an awesome project. You can pay what you want including nothing but financially supporting this means you are also supporting me(and a ton of other awesome folks), and the more successful this will be the more chances there will be a second issue.
If it isn't released yet as of this reading, you can also sign up here to be notified of the release of any issues, current or future: https://gumroad.com/argylewerewolf/follow
Please spread the word about this project to support the contributors and make a second issue more likely to happen
