Streaming Idea
General | Posted 13 years agoI've noticed this a lot recently and now that I have a class involved in how video games interact with modern society, I've set up a stream. It is centered mainly around League of Legends, World of Warcraft and Path of Exile but it is me playing these games and possibly some friends.
Would anyone be interested in a link to see the stream?

General | Posted 13 years agoI Miss You - RIP My Friend
General | Posted 13 years ago"My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today." - Richard Adams
It might be a somewhat cheesy quote but it seems to fit. If you have already read my brother's journal or you have had me tell you, one of my dogs passed away today. He was born with an enlarged heart and we knew it would catch up with him eventually but it was one of those things you did not think about and just enjoyed the time that you had with him.
His name was Churchill and he was my brother's best friend and companion. They shared a lot - included a heart condition - and where my brother managed to beat his, sadly, Churchill's condition could not be beaten. He still lived his life to the fullest though. I had never seen a smarter, more happy go lucky dog in my life despite that fact that he could not run for as long or play fetch as often as his older companions, he still tried his best to keep up with them. He was always so full of life and I will miss coming home from college to find him terrorizing his "brother" Lincoln or his "tormentor" Reagan. I will miss the way that he would come to you with his leash curled into a few loops - he would do it himself and we never figured out or caught him doing it - and stare at you with huge eyes until you hooked it to his collar and took him on his walk.
He will be missed and his "brothers" - the other puppies Lincoln, Reagan and Patton - will sorely miss their dear companion. I miss him terribly but will always remember the time I had with him and growing up with him.
Rest In Peace my dear, dear friend.
I know the angels are taking you on walks now, you can catch as many balls as you want now and you will never have to worry about being tired or not being able to keep up again.

Cell Phone Woes
General | Posted 13 years agoSo dropped the cell phone in the toilet...
It is an iPhone 4 and all. I've already tried the blow dryer trick and the rice in the Tupperware container for like 6/7 hours. Some people say to leave the phone in rice for almost 2 days but I'm more worried that the phone might be fried... Mainly because I pulled the biggest NO NO in the book and tried to turn on the phone after it got dropped into the water... Every guide says not to do it but I was in the middle reading something important from my boyfriend concerning my visitation next month and now I can't even get ahold of him...
Long story short... Anyone have any other suggestions other than what has already been tried?

Irish Festival and Stuff
General | Posted 14 years agoOkay, well, it is really just the Irish Festival!
This past weekend (March 2nd to the 4th) I was in North Texas hanging out with a good friend and working for one of her father's friends at his Vendor Stall at the North Texas Irish Festival. I've never seen so much green in one place before! And it was amazing! Our stall was right across from this lovely Wicca lady who was selling these AMAZING witch hats that she let us try on and goof off in. She was really nice and even bought me and my friend some cotton candy when our stall wasn't doing too well and we looked "down" as she put it. The lady next to her was selling these lovely steampunk themed, handmade leather journals too. I wanted one so badly but they were, sadly, WAY out of my price range.
There were so many other interesting people! I got to see a white German Shepherd all died green with a little leprechaun hat on. There was a set of quadruples all with matching outfits and those cute monkey backpack leashes! There was also this guy with a three foot Mohawk - I KID YOU NOT! - a THREE FUCKING FOOT MOHAWK! that was dyed all green and he had a kilt and bagpipes and... It was awesome! I managed to get shirts for everyone in my family and got Mavi this lovely new Guinness Under Armor shirt (Did not even know that they sold such things!) that he loves! Makes me so happy to be a good big sister. There was also this lady who had three of her Japanese Chins in a baby basket and one in this carrier strapped to her chest. I got to see some adorable Saluki puppies! (In case you don't know, Salukis are my all TIME FAVORITE dog breed *hint hint*).
What we were down there for was to sell a bunch of T-Shirts and stuff. Lots and lots and lots of beer related stuff - especially Guinness and Jameson and Smithwick and the like. I got to try tons of different malt ales, whiskeys and beers and it was so much fun! My feet may be killing me and my knee may be swollen but it was worth the trip just to see all these interesting people and get some wonderful experience and make a good $400 for only three days work.
I did manage to snag myself a lovely Rapier with this intense decorative handle that I plan on using in my newest costume - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJebguI8tNk - though not sure if I can pull off the French accent.
is already making fun of my many failed attempts at copying it but I am the one with the rapier and the dagger and he just has his sassy fox attitude. We will see who wins in the end...
Anyway, I am going to try and get some sleep now even with the Adderall I took still running through my system and making me jumpier than a rabbit on speed. It was a six hour drive home after working from 8AM to 8PM today...

New Phone~! <3
General | Posted 14 years agoYesss... Finally got a new phone. Well kind of new. It is my mom's hand me down iPhone 4 because she thought the iPhone 4s was a WHOLE new phone... Anyway!
Got some pretty sweet ringtones for it first off and one was that annoying fairy Navi shouting at you "Hey! Listen!" I thought it was cute honestly... That is until my friends' found out about it and basically blew my brand new phone apart with Navi...
Two hours later and I already want to chuck the thing across the room...
It. Won't. Shut. UP!

Possible Kiriban~!
General | Posted 14 years agoSo yeah... People have been doing these things and all and it was interesting idea that I figured it might be worth it to give it a shot. That being said, 1000 is out of the question because I am at 1150 or so when I last checked haha but maybe 1250 or even 1500 or maybe both. It would depend on how many people would be interested in getting a kiriban anyway.
That all being said, the prize would be something from a sketch with some shading or a sketch with some shading and a background - basically a guinea pig piece that the winner could decide. Unfortunately it probably would not be an adult piece unless it was something tasteful.
Anyone even interested in this idea?
Frithe Out~! <3
P.S. - Those Ungulate pieces are mostly done but I have not uploaded them because of lack of a reliable scanner. Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to them.

Stupid Tiger - ILU
General | Posted 14 years agoFirst off.... Rules!
1. You must post these rules (Very Important indeed).
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately (AKA, really, truly, with all honesty) have to tag 11 people.
My questions to the people I tagged:

More Free Art! Big One This Time!
General | Posted 14 years agoANYONE INTERESTED?!
General | Posted 14 years agoPlease be honest because I need the feedback something fierce. Would anyone be interested in getting a cheap - say $5 to $10 - commission for line art from me? I need the practice in more species than just dragons and horses and the like and kind of want to make some money to and get my name out there.
Basically, it would be a pay what you want type thing. Plus you can do whatever you want with the line art and what not. Probably won't be doing any pron or anything like that but I can give certain anatomy things a go. Never tried them before - always been one for the "tasteful nudity" option and all that - but yeah.
Anyone may or may not be interested?
