I understand that it's much more difficult for a traditional artist to rise above even the worst of digital artists. Dont get me wrong, I adore the few of you whos kept me going. Its just, hardly anyone wants anything thats been done on paper..even if its dirt cheap. I'll probably just draw for myself from now on. Ill still be open for commissions on the rare occasion they show up, but I'll no longer be drawing anything to appease the audiance. Im tired of seeing shitty art go for so much when im right here. Im not great by far, but come on...5 or 10 dollars is nothing.
I like drawing my persona and Ill continue to do so.

 The problem here is, your average furry here doesn't appreciate the heart and dedication that gets put in to traditional artwork, they're mostly people who are more into "pretty wittle cowours" and they think digital art is easier to draw and receive quicker when it comes to commissions, also it's not just the art that they're paying for but rather for the service of the artist, it's like wearing a pair of Levi's to a cheap pair of jeans, Levi's cost more because of the label.

Seriously?! Ive seen several pencil sketch commissioners charging 60 bucks for a sketch! A fucking sketch...something that we all know takes around 30 minutes. Do the math! Charging two dollars a minute now? Its completely ridiculous. Be realistic and take into consideration that we arent walking atms. There is always someone more reasonable out there who can suit your needs.
So you do art for a living? Fine, then WORK and stop charging people outlandish prices for something that can only pass for a glorified, fluffy stick figure.

Its not too bad and it will get better. However, at the moment, im in a bit of a pickle. We were shorted two paychecks at work and my rent is very high for the Illinois area, $615 is considered a significant amount. Yes, I understand California and bigger areas are higher...but you ALSO make more money an hour and that results in higher living expenses...it equals out regardless. I normally never admit my financial struggles but this time its fo real! I dont have family to run to...absolutely no one. Im on my own, many states away from family...whom I havent seen in many years.
Any help or commissions will be greatly appreciated.

Keep in mind that my color pencil art is NOOB central, I hardly have any color pencil experience, but it is a medium that im beginning to enjoy.

PHYSICAL strength means dominance! A dick or being on bottom means nothing. So a woman stacked with 300 pounds of muscle hard as frozen steel on bottom, and a 140 pound male on top...Think hes dominant because hes on top? Think about it. The ability to pick someone up and fold them 5 ways makes them dominant...not sexual position.
The largest and most powerful animal is the alpha...same with humans. Carefully evaluate a long term crowd of people. The largest and strongest always naturally assume the leader role, its how we are created. Your silver tongue will not stop one who's stronger and bent on harming you.

So one is a lanky trained black belt. Okay, they can fight...but contemplate the damage they could do if their body is conditioned for power. This is why they dont pit people together with the same skill level and dramatic size difference. Why? Because the larger one will destroy the smaller.

Now, most of you are already aware about my new love of ink. I first learned how to draw by looking at super hero comics and muscle magazines, the Hulk really helped me...and still does. However, I want to take it further. Ive never really stepped out of my comfort zone....That is changing. Im dealing with perspective now, as well as anatomy. I have many peices laying at home, not finished because im so strict on myself that nothing seems good enough. My arts have been rapidly improving, but thats not good enough. I want to push! And dont say "these things take time!" Bullshit! Thats a crutch for procrastination. A weakness of mine is that im too impulsive. Instead of spending more time on a to improve it...I just submit it as is. I've been depriving you all of my fullest abilities...but that will change. I want CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

This is a new version of my character valentine..because thats what I do. Most people create hundreds of characters...but I've been attached to the same one for 13 years and prefer to have different versions of the same character. This one is perhaps my favorite thus far.

Valentine, still a female.
However, once she engages in sexual intercourse with a male and receives the sperm to fertilize the eggs...she MUST transfer them back to the fertile male, using a elongated clitoris. If something happened to the male, she will find another to carry them...though the child will not be related to the carrier because it posses only her and the first males DNA. 
Severe mood alterations would also occur. If the original fertilizer of the batch of eggs refuses the transmission or dies...she will be forced to take drastic measures...even if it means rape. After initial fertilization, she has a mere 3 days to transfer the batch. This is when she it at the crux of aggression and will not hesitate to publicly assault any unlucky gentleman that crosses her. If the transfer doesnt occur, she will manually take care of herself and they will parish, with new eggs replacing the old soon thereafter.

Today I had a particularly interesting interview with a vampire. I know where you're getting at, and no, this is nothing like the movie. An eight foot tall muscle bound creature ducked under the much-too-small door and took a seat in the thankfully-form fitting chair in front of my desk after receiving my request for an interview. Here is what was gathered.

Interviewer: "Thank you for coming on such a short notice. Lets begin with your name."
Valentine : "Thank you for having me. My full name is Valentine Rae Eisenberg.
Interviewer: "My goodness, you have a very deep voice. I was told that you were female. Forgive me, but do you often have problems with people unable to distinguish your gender?"
Valentine: (gives a hardy chuckle and clears her throat) "Yes, most people dont recognize my gender unless they've seen. Usually, they dont believe me if I simply tell them."
Interviewer: "Did you ever have any surgery to become more masculine?"
Valentine: "Absolutely not. Rarely do you find a naturally masculine women around. Muscle is muscle, it doesnt matter what gender its on. If you work it, it will grow...and the voice will deepen."
Interviewer: "Now, Those teeth are pretty frightening. I understand you're a vampire, but has this impacted your ability for employment, relationships, ect?
Valentine: (Clearly runs her tongue along the long canines) "It does seem that way, but my Doctrine Degree speaks louder than a pair of fangs. I work as a Doctor at Happening Hospital."
Interviewer: (interrupts with a soft gesture) "A vampire as a Doctor? Now this is something I've never heard before. Doesn't your nature interfere with surgery or the like?
Valentine: (flashes that fanged smile) "I can definitely see how that can shock you. 60 years in the medical field has granted me alot of control. Let me ask you a rhetorical question. You are a wolf if im not mistaken. Could you work at a meat packaging plant without giving into your basic needs? Of course you could, because you have enough control to see that this is your job and doing this will result in your unemployment. Now if I was starving, then that could be a problem...same with anyone."
Interviewer: "I suppose Ive never taken the time to think about that. How do you keep yourself healthy? Someone of your size would probably need alot of the red stuff."
Valentine: (leans back in the chair, the wood sounding like it was on the verge of snapping) "That much is true. Fortunately, part of the agreement was that they supplied me with as much as I needed...that...and well, I had to take my lunch outside during breaks. "
Interviewer: (lightly laughs) "I can image how many people would scootch to the other side of the break room. What about the horns? Where do those come from?"
Valentine: "These are something everyone in my race sports. Mine just happened to look like a minotaur. Just like deer, every rack has its own unique shape. They grow continuously throughout our lifetime. Some cultures of my race consider this a status symbol. I just consider them a part of me."
Interviewer: (spends a moment to eye the huge horns jutting from the sides of her skull) "They are eye catching indeed. Now, more about your job, in what ways do you help the Hospital for them to pay you in blood AND cash?"
Valentine: "A good question. See, I naturally produce venom that begins the process of turning another into...well....what I am. Modern technology is able to alter this into a powerful medicine that serves a great number of purposes depending on how its used. I provide this to them, they provide the rest. This has saved many lives."
Interviewer: (surrenders a warm smile) " Beautiful. Most people would assume you're a creature of darkness."
Valentine: (leans forward in the chair and sighs) " Above all, this is the thing that disturbs me the most. I am Christian, I believe in God. The sun causes no harm, nor does all the other BS stated. A leech didnt ask to be a leech. I simply have a digestive system similar to a vampire bat and require alot of iron...nothing more."
Interviewer: "Oh, Im very sorry to have brought that up."
Valentine: (holds up a large, calloused hand) "Dont be sorry, Im glad we cleared that up at some point here."
Interviewer: "have you turned many people throughout your life?"
Valentine: "A few. Mostly it was because I saw them as fit to carry out a life such as this. In fact some of them were from the hospital. Ive gotten to know them enough to give them a second chance, to see they would be creatures of nobility and light."
Interviewer: "I love the fact your heart is in the right place. Its truly endearing. Have you ever surrendered to your basic nature? What was that like?"
Valentine: "Hasn't everyone? Yes, ive had a few accidents and more than enough lawsuits against me, even spent sometime in Jail. This still hasnt stopped me from caring about others and helping people." (Looks down, clearly shammed of the past events)
Interviewer: "I can only image how hard it was for you. Let me lighten the mood by asking you, what are some of your hobbies?"
Valentine: (takes a sip of water from the bottle on the desk) " When not working, I enjoy spending time in my gym and relaxing at home. I also enjoy art and literature. Time doesnt mean much to me, so I take it all slow. One day im writing in the comfort of my home, the next, im spending some time with some friends in the city or at the lake. Of course, there is always room for excitement every now and then."
Interviewer: (glances at his watch) "Well, Valentine. Its been an absolute pleasure meeting you. I deeply look forward to hearing more at our next meeting. (Clicks the Stop button on the recorder and tucks it carefully in a suitcase before shaking hands with the vampire)
Valentine: "Nice meeting you as well." (Stands up) " Ill be here next week."

(Not that many people read my journals anyway. I just wanted to shed some light on my persona through a fictional interview haha, feel free to do a similar journal with your characters. Im sure this has been done before though haha)
