Hi everyone, hope those that read this had a good summer, mine disappeared too quickly (Though that is typical the older you get)
As some know through Discord, I had a minor surgery and I'm recovering still from that (at the point of this entry anyway and its mostly an annoyance than anything) and had other dealings going on.
Though while I still want to focus on writing some more (Which is being posted over on SoFurry since there's no interest that I can see here on FA, I have been bitten by the drawing bug and want to do a few quick sketches.

So, this is the deal,
- I am going to open from now till Labor Day/ September 2 nd

All I can say is here's hoping that this year will go better than the last few.

Sadly some of the problems that I had in 2018 I have no choice but to carry over into this new year...
Honestly, I've been suffering in silence because I didn't want to bother anyone or add burdens to my friends
in a lot of ways, I'm amaze that I'm holding on to what little sanity I have left.

Wither you see this day as a day of Celebration or just another day in the week,

Happy 4th of July.

May you have a safe and enjoyable day.
I know I'm going to try, even though technically, for the reason I'm celebrating it,
its not for another 15 and a half hours my local,
but instead because of an old habit from when I was growing up and celebrating the 4th, My grandfather's (God rest his soul.) and my Birthday.
Here's hoping that everyone at least has a pleasant day and no evil cast a shadow down on anyone.

Ok, throwing this out there sooner than I had planned...

In my last journal, I've mentioned that a Windows 10 update basically screwed up my desktop of 4 years to the point that I can't access it with my limited knowledge. My original plan was to wait till about the 30 th since I figured I should have some more money built up.

Well, got to love family for screwing up any plans.

To that end, I am creating a few YCHs and opening a limited number of commission spots to help pay for a new tower and (with any luck) some data recovery off my old Lenovo tower.
(Be glad if they can, if not, it won't be the first time I've lost data...)

Well, been wanting to write this for over a week and explain what's been going on with me.
Thankfully, it's nothing major,
But...
Its enough to really put a damper on my mood.
If you want to call me materialistic, be my guest.
As I have been seeing journals with worse things happening.
But anyway, I've been meaning to say that,

Until something changes,
Art and game streams are currently on hiatus.

Why?
Last Monday (May 21 2018) I seen that my desktop had some updates that was waiting to properly install. So... like the idiot that I am and without prior knowledge, I let the updates install.
Had I known then what I know now, I would of axed the bastards
(Me and updates do not have a good history)
It took me till Wednesday to discover that the updates completely F*cked up my desktop computer
When I finally turned it on I was greeted by this screen, [Link]
So me and a more tech savvy friend online tried to go through the options and restore and revert my desktop to usable order...
and failed miserably.

Come to find out later in the week, what it was, was a Windows 10 driver and performance update for computers that already have Windows 10 installed on them. as I am at least the 5th person that had this happen. My PC is about 4 years old and I installed Win 10 when I got the chance because I HATED Windows 8.

Now, I'm left with only my laptop that's mostly dedicated to Art, writing, and simple net surfing.
So not quite devastating, but still, all my games, art programs and streaming abilities that was on the desktop are no longer accessible and its now basically an oversize paper weight... (*Sighs...think god that the external drive was working unlike what I thought at the beginning of the year....)

But my streams are no longer happening until I do one of the following,
A) get my stupid tail over to Erie PA to Best Buy and either repair my tower, or get a new one.
Or
B) break down and install OBS onto my laptop (Which I am very leery of doing as I'm trying to make this one last)

So, go ahead and laugh, scoff, shake your head, or whatever.
As soon as I figure something out for sure I'll get back to my stream scheduled, though unless I get a new tower, I don't expect to be playing any games...

Been wanting to write this journal for almost a week and only now getting around to writing it.

As some may or may not of noticed, I have left skype and will not be using them as an IM service any longer.
In-fact, I have uninstalled the program from my computers.
The choice to do so really became easy over the last few months,
Not only was the activity I really did was checking a furry writing chat group I had joined some time ago,
But also,
Everyone one of my contacts were more or less silent for long periods of time,
Skype glitched and kicked me off my original account and had to use the one I set up for my smart phone,
And also I've read an article recently about a new policy they are putting into place, and I feel its an invasion of privacy.
Anyone who swears online will be band from using their services plus they will occasionally check video calls to watch them, looking for people that gets naughty with each other and kick the two off of skype that's the final nail in the coffin for me.

I'm not going to be streaming this weekend,
but not due to any reason from me aside from the fact that I'm just a factory drone
So even though I was really looking forward to the weekend, I don't get it off,
in fact,
I don't even know if I have Good Friday off...

this is how my week looked, (please understand that I work second shift in a factory)

Monday, first shift was super lazy and my shift was slammed all night, having to run around like chickens with our heads cut off...

Tuesday, the trash compactor went down because the storage bin was filled beyond capacity and we had (Literally) a ton of trash and couldn't do nothing with it till very late in the night

Wednesday was the worst, one of the lines was short parts and we were short people, be cause line A went home early, it was wrongfully believed that we didn't need any help even though Lines B and C continued to work till 6 pm, then Line A's 3rd shift was only supposed to stay until they hit a goal of 25 products done, should of been an hour and a half, they stayed for 3 hours and hit 36 products done. I will not go into the personnel, but I will say that by the time we left, there was a LOT that was left undone..

Thursday, took the day off because I had two teeth removed and was told that I need to find a General Dentist so I can have
plates made as I've been only going to an oral surgeon

Friday, found out before I even got to work that my weekend plans are now null and void because the line that was short parts are coming in Saturday And Sunday so I'm going to be working strait through till at least Thursday, possibly Good Friday and Saturday too...

And some people wonder why I like my time off?

Well, just to note quickly,
I'm sorry that I didn't run the Win A Date for January, just a lot of stuff that had happen offline that I won't get into and will see about doing it in February. Specially since my list is now currently clear of owed commission projects.

First off, let me just say Happy New Year despite it being 10 days in 2018.
Hopefully, despite some of the rough time of everyone getting sick and etc, it turns out better that the previous year(s)

Sadly, it took me this long to write this, because like many, I also got sick during New Years and it literally zapped my strength and stamina, which is why there's only been the basic activity from me these last two weeks. Thankfully, I am feeling better and is slowly getting back into the swing of things.
With saying that, there are a few things I want to do for 2018
(New year, new ideas *shrugs*)

First off,
Once I finish my two current projects, I am planning on not doing any 'outside' commissions and request and focusing on personal art for a while.
This includes some story and comic ideas that I have been kicking around for years.
I had hope to of started to post a comic at the start of the new year... *shrugs..* Real life happens...

Second,
I am still thinking of doing a monthly Win a date.
last count I have over 50 OCs, I want to start drawing them. (as some I don't have an art of.)

Another something, though its minor in the scheme of things,
I am making some changes to my sona, nothing that's big, but once I'm done, you'll see what I did.

Without going into any in depth explanation,

I am closing all outside commissions and requests...
At least until the time when I feel that I'm less... Distraught and self destructive.
I will continue to work on and finish my current list, but after that... Well come what may...

Enough to say that recent events in my life has left me severely shattered and broken inside to the point where I got to try and hold back the tears that randomly starts... (Yes I am a grown man that cries, get over it...)
I will say that its not just one factor that has put me into this disposition, but many different factors across the different... “Domains” of my life (Home, Work, and Online.) And each are severely out of balance and I need to start to focus on getting them back into order...
Provided that I even can...

Only 1 or 2 know close to the full full story, to what is going on. And if message, I MIGHT reveal the story further. Maybe post a journal in more detail if asked enough.
But in the meantime,

Journal # 2017-06-23

Please forgive me, I know most don't care, and this is long winded, but I thought and wanted to put this out there...

Let me just start by saying that I am fine, alive and mostly well despite a sore left shoulder from my car's seat belt.
Mentally though, I am feeling quite drained.
Granted, it could be worse. A lot worse, I know ("there is no such thing as the bottom of the barrel")
But it still doesn't help that I've been trying to mentally hold off anxiety attacks for the last several months.

The abbreviated version is this,
(this is not everything going on with me, but its enough...)

Back on April 2nd, I was ran off the road by an old woman that I think forgot what she was doing and caused me to go into a guard rail to avoid hitting her. Her insurance, GEICO, has been screwing around with me for over 2 months, and they only want to only pay 50% of the damages despite me actually not being found at fault.
Then to add to the fun...
On June 13 on my way home, a deer jumped out in front of me and caused an estimated $7100 in damages on top of of the previous damage to my rear quarter panel... Thankfully, the car is getting repaired so at least the damages done by the deer will be fix, the rear quarter panel that was estimated at some $1800 in damages however will not.
Then most recently finding out that due to other things (that's not my fault) I had to move an unplanned $150 into other places to be able to keep the gas and electric on at my house. (a very long and argumentative vent story that I will not get into now.)

Anyway,
Unfortunately this “disaster” of a month/year has left me at a rather tight financial disadvantage.
Not only do I need to replace the $150, but I also need to build up $200 for the insurance co-pay so I can commute to my “day job.”
(that's not including the $500 co-pay that my insurance wants or the $950 GEICO wants me to pay to fix the quarter panel... this is also not everything but its enough...)

So, in the end, I'll need to be taking as many commissions as I can get as well as trying to sell a few unused poses I have as YCHs. I am also entertaining of doing a few “Win A Date” with my characters.

Sorry for this, but as the title says, No stream tonight.
Needless to say while I am physically ok,
I am an emotional wreck...

I am feeling very unbalance and very unhinged after the tough week I had at work (and it is going to be a lot rougher at work.)
But that alone was not enough to detour me from streaming...

What did happen to push me off the edge as it were?

Well, on the way to take my parents out to dinner for their 40th wedding anniversary on the highway and a 70 year old woman... Well saying that she cut us off was an understatement. she wasn't even halfway past us when she started to come back and forced us out of the lane and into the guardrail doing damage to my back fender and wheel well
(the Officer estimates that's there's probably $3000 worth of damage.)
But honestly, I thought that we were going to loose control of my CRV and wiped out and roll all over the highway.

So, please forgive me for not streaming like I promised (*streaming at least every Sunday) I am feeling very numb and still very shaken up, even though its been 5 hours since the indecent...

Journal # 20170312 – A Change is Coming

Well its been a while since I've made a journal (a lot longer than I intended honestly.)

Needles to say, February was a really bad month for me, a lot of stressful factors came up... Not only was there more family drama going on which I will not go into right now, but also some finance issues that I place myself in.
Thankfully March is here with something I needed, 5 paycheck weeks and so far, some overtime too. So things are balancing themselves back out. But some of that stress from the month is still there.

Anyway... During that time frame, as some may have noticed, art has been really slow. I think above explains why to a degree and I am (slowly) trying to get back into my grove, but there is something that's I haven't mentioned aside from maybe one or two people has been on my mind for the last few months to a little over a year. Not fully sure when I started thinking this, but still...

Desepheno Frost (D Frost, the white wolf) is no longer going to be my Fursona.

For a while I've been feeling disconnected from him, or that we were both evolving, but in opposite directions and I feel that now would be a good time to put the 'Sona version of him into retirement.

“Are you going to sell him?”
No.
Selling D Frost would not only mean getting rid of one of my oldest characters and titled character of my story series, but it would also mean letting go of something that's been apart of me for a long time. Plus I still have plans for him story wise, which is why he was created for to begin with.

“What are you going to do now?”
Those who have joined my streams this past week or so knows the answer. I'm creating a new personalize Fursona.

a hybrid Otter/Wolf design.

So, needles to say, not a lot will actually change, I am keeping my Screen name “Frost” and my nickname “Frostlupus” as it is still relevant along with everything else associated with it. Its just when I do something that involves me/my sona, I will no longer be that handsome blue hair demon wolf but now the more normal good-looking otter/wolf hybrid. (Sorry I had to lolz... :P )

Pretty much its just a changing of the guard that is happening.
Most things are going to stay the same, its just that now, I have something that “represents me” instead of a story character that evolved into and became me and... vice versa.

An Assassin is captured during her first solo mission. Her resolve and stubbornness is put to the test when her captor attempts to break her mind and will by placing mental barriers in her mind and artificially starting her heat cycle.

[WRT] Untitled Star Wars Story
- a simple short story, no chapters. Takes place between 1 BBY to 3 ABY
-Plot-
A rebel leader makes plans to attack the local Imperial garrison and assassinate the local commanding officers as well as other high ranking targets, despite personal misgivings and warnings from her boyfriend. After a final attempt by the boyfriend to get her to stay, she leaves and prepares everyone for the mission. The mission quickly goes bad, resulting in the entire team to be killed or captured. The leader is brought before the officer in charge and has her world turned upside-down...

[WRT] Star Wars – Dark Misfortune/Well Of Knowledge
- a multi chapter story that I came up with this past week. Might do this as picture sets or might write them out some day... IDK yet, but might explain more at a later date.

[WRT] Cry Wolf – (Ewe version)
- Like to write or have this commissioned, a NSFW take on the “Boy who cried wolf”. Only this time its a bored lonely Ewe that does it to get the attention of some of the local boys.

[WRT] Cry Wolf – (Romance version)
- Another story based on the “Boy Who Cried Wolf” that I'd like to write or have commissioned, only instead of getting eaten, the Sheppard boy goes off into the woods to find the “monster” only to find a young lonely wolfess.

I hope everyone's new year is at least going better than last year, even if we're only in the third week of 2017.
Mine, well, its about as expected.
At least my allergies have gone away (mostly,) due to getting rid of the unwelcome mutt and I'm getting re-accustom with working on both my desktop and my new(er) laptop that I got for my art and stories.

Now there's a few things I'd like to do this year and have actually started before the year's end.

For starters,
I am now streaming every Sunday, between 6 to 9 pm est, my local.
I'm going to try and at least keep this stream going for as long as possible, mixed with other streams scattered through out the week. Sadly, my work schedule won't let me stream before at least midnight, one o'clock in most cases, but nothing is (ever) set in stone.

Now I had few ideas concerning my journals, (since my 'weekly' journals last year turned out to be a bust... XP Lazy Wolf...)

First, I think I might try and do a project list,
basically it will be a list of my current projects that I'm currently working on at that point in time.
Be it art, stories, whatever. Plus there might be a few proposed projects in there too.

Secondly,
Would anyone be interested in me writing little segments about my story universe, Tails of the White Wolf?
Mostly be explanations of what it is, its time line/story events, and some of the major character bios.
