Got a lot on my plate. I haven't forgotten about the raffle, though it looks like some of the participants have since departed FA (banned, closed accounts, I'm not sure). I'll still honor the winners, though, I don't know if I should portray the characters of those that have left the site? Hrm.

S'been a hot minute since my last journal. I'm alive n kickin'. Cats have all passed away as of late August-early September last year, so that's rough, but- okay, maybe I'm not over the loss entirely- I've made peace enough with the notion that it doesn't bring me to tears every time I think about it.

Seems so strange, doesn't it? I always speak of these things that give me such problems, such pain, and yet, I post art in the meantime that carries none of that emotional weight. Why am I even posting this? Just need a place to help get my thoughts in order.

No, I haven't forgotten the raffle... some 2 years later almost, I just need to knuckle down and knock those out. Though, I did notice that one of the winning participants has left FA? Their comment got deleted too, and I can't fully recall what their idea was.

Just quiet and pluggin' along. I must present my deepest apologies, as the projects I should be doing have been kinda set on the backburner. Not by choice, necessarily, but just as something that happened.

First the coronavirus running its course throughout the states, and then a 5.7 earthquake in the wee hours of the morning on the 18th of March. It's a wonder that work's still open at this point, but them's the dubious perks of working grocery retail, I suppose.

Downside to all this? The heaps of stress from this all has slowed my artistic drive down to a freakin' crawl, it takes a lot of my will to actually do any worldbuilding, story drafting, and other less intensive endeavors. Though, through it all, I have managed to carve some things into my Aquila Palaxis and Elmaloris settings. Yea, I've got a WorldAnvil account, what of it?

I shall start work on things the first chance I can find, working from the first winner down. Please have some patience with me guys, I'm still on the road to fully reconnecting with my muse~

So, a little under two months ago I mentioned toying with the idea of holding a raffle of sorts, soooo, yea, now that I'm feeling better after the breakup- long story, but to give a summary, I was drafted into something I wasn't looking for and was being dragged down to a dark place as a result- I figure I'll actually get that underway.

Seeing as this is the first one I can recall doing, I'm gonna have 5 winner spots available, one for each 100 milestone that my braindead self missed out on!

Pretty standard stuff; post your idea (clarify whether you want it tame, lewd, or just suggestive), and provide character reference(s). Journal boosts are not at all required, but are certainly appreciated! I'd also appreciate it if you were watching me before joining the raffle, that way you'll readily know when things get done/announced!

Most of my characters(<- linked here) are available for choosing in a given scene.

Let's give this about a week to build, so, next Saturday(19th) at.. whatever time of day I can manage, the slots will be closed, and the five numbers picked out. I can hardly deny that I'm excited to see how this goes~

Been a few days, so no need to worry too much about me. It just kinda hurts to walk on it, but the swelling has gone down immensely since the day it happened.

Artistically, I've been kinda doddling about, not being nearly as productive as I'd like to be. It's nice to have money and all, but work has been leaving me with less and less energy to do things I want to lately. That means, of course, those folks waiting on a completed commission are going to have to wait just a little longer, and for that, I apologize profusely.

So, roundabout 28 years and 5 hours ago at the time of my typing this, this cat was born to the world. Tha's right, it's catcat's birthday! What'd y'all get me? Heh, not a serious question, don't take it as one.[/s]

Outlook's not so good on my cat.. towards the end of work, I was informed that she's vomiting blood. I know I've been quiet already as is, but, with this, expect me to be just that little bit more scarce.

I've become increasingly more fascinated by kobolds. It's to the point that I've started to consider drawing more of them. Already got one drawn in Mikka the Fantastic(which I have not posted, as of the time of this writing), who I drew a couple months ago for a tabletop guild that I've been setting up.

Would anyone be interested in seeing me draw some kobolds? If so, do y'all have some reference/tutorials that you think could help me draw them more easily?

Oh, also, on a whim I decided to start actually posting things using my reddit account. No art juuuuust yet, though.

A friend of mine just notified me while I was at work that one of my images has been reposted to Tumblr. I'm not necessarily bothered, as they have claimed none of it is theirs and the watermark is still intact, but I was just not expecting it. For those curious, and for my own obsessively archival ways, this is the 'offending' post(welp, not gonna exist now that tumblr's on a puritanical crusade). My pic shows up an image down to the right. That is this one right here.

I'm still alive, just not as artistically active as I would hope. Still chiseling away at a commission, though; already to the lineart phase, woo.

So yea, catbutt still lives. Lately I've been making the move to a new art program, Krita. Wish I could test it out some more, but this stupid summer heat makes me hesitant to press on too long into the afternoon/evening for fear of destroying my laptop.

Also, after dipping my toes into commissions for the very first time, and receiving advice that I should write up some manner of terms of service.

Below is what I was able to come up with. Feedback, of course, is greatly appreciated.

❄ Terms of Service ❄

Preamble

By commissioning me, you accept the terms set out in the ToS. It will be my immediate presumption that you are at least 18+ once you send in a commission, and this holds especially true if you aim to commission a not safe for work(NSFW) picture.

General

While working with me, I will do my very best to be polite and respectful, and I expect the same in return. By no means do I expect immediate friendship-like interactions, but I expect at least some common, courteous civility.
I, the artist reserve the right to refuse a commission idea for any reason, with or without explanation.
I reserve the right to change any and all information on this terms of service(ToS) without warning and at any time, though I will try to inform of new changes.
While I will perhaps try, I cannot promise being able to draw a character in a style not my own. In the event of being unable to pull off the style, I may adapt and adjust character details to suit my own developed style. I will, of course, strive to maintain as many details/aspects as possible.
The original files(xcf/kra/psd, etc) will not be provided in general.

Deadlines from the commissioner will not be wholly accepted, though said deadlines may be used as guidelines at best. Why? I work best when working at my personal pace, and my limited free time as of late does not lend itself to making deadlines efficiently.

Ordering, Payment, and Refunds

Methods of contact are as follows Notes/PMs(whether on FA, F-list, any other art site I'm on, or any social media I have- please refer to the order of availability in my journal footer.)
Comments, preferably on either a journal or a submission announcing commissions being opened.
During the commission process, it is recommended you use this for at least a basis of what info is required to get the ball rolling.
Type / Tier: ;{mostly for planning sake; types listed in commission pricing. Should be listed as "Sketch Tier 3" or "Full Tier 2".} Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4
Description: {Fill out here! Here's where you get to be pretty personalized. Herein you should include: what it is you want me to draw(please try to have an idea in mind... I'm just no good at trying to create scenes and such with a person's character, as most of the time I don't even know what the character's like). If you've got no absolute idea in mind, try giving me some keywords to work off of. Please try to include what type of thing the picture will be(e.g. "pinup", "bondage", etc.). Please try to keep things as concise as possible. }
References: Here, you may link any ref images and/or descriptions. As well, you should provide pose, background, or compositional references, if applicable.

When sending a note for the purposes of nabbing a commission slot, please try to suss out your idea within the first few notes, if not the very first one.
Upon my acceptance of the idea, generally necessitating that I have a somewhat solid idea of what you have in mind, we can move onto payment. Upon reaching this step, I will require your paypal email so I can provide you with an invoice.

In the event of you not having an idea from the get-go, and have opted to give me artistic freedom, you do still reserve the right to inform me of mistakes and missed details of the character in question. I would ask that you provide things that you do not wish your character to be a part of, if this is the route you choose, that way there's less stress on both sides.
If you forget an item after the commission has been accepted, so long as this information doesn't require a complete rework, I would be more than willing to modify to include what was forgotten. If, perchance, I have missed a crucial detail, while I may not necessarily be happy to, I will go so far as to rework the picture to include what was missed. Do bear in mind, though, this will undoubtedly delay the completion. Complete changes to the idea are out of the question once we have moved beyond the initial sketch. After the image has been posted, minor edits can be requested of me, but I reserve the right to deny them for any reason.
I, the artist, will try to provide WIP images after every stage for the sake of approval, but will provide WIPs if asked in a polite, civil manner, and as long as you are not asking constantly. Do try to respond within a reasonable window, 2-3 days preferred. If, though, you know you be unavailable for a long period of time, do try to inform me so I'm not simply left waiting.
Edits, be they cropping(especially those that would cut the watermark out), adding lines, or other 'aftermarket' modifications are strongly advised against. The only exception to the cropping rule is for the purposes of avatars/profile pictures.

Payment
After progress on the sketch has been shown, or right upfront if you trust me enough, the full payment must be made. Alternatively, we can arrange to split up the charge(e.g. payment per stage, or half and half).
Methods of payment all revolve around paypal, and include: me sending you an invoice(using the paypal email you hopefully provided), or having you send me money(which, of course, requires me to provide you my own email).
Payment should be given in USD, using 'goods and services'. When setting up your payment, always utilize the 'no address needed', and provide a note attached with only your FA(/IB/other art site, but preferably only one) username. Anything beyond that will very likely be refunded, especially if it details the commission's prospective contents.

A Matter of Excess
While I do try to honor revisions as often as they are needed, at my discretion, usually after a prolonged string of repeat revisions/edits, I will deny requests to revise. I understand getting a character and/or scene right, but do try to keep it within reason.

Refunds
If, for any reason- you need not divulge all of the private details- you find the need to get a refund, I am willing to provide, and I will try to get on that as soon as feasibly possible. If, however, your commission has been completed and approved before this, you may not ask for the full amount back; I may, at my own discretion, provide a partial refund. As the artist, it is my right to be compensated for time and effort put in. If an alternative payment sectioning has been selected, any section not yet reached no longer has to be payed out upon your decision for a refund, and, reasonably, you should not expect the picture to reach completion.

None(0%): The commissioned picture has been completed and posted.
Partial(25%-75%): The exact amount will vary depending on how much has been completed
Full(100%): The art has either not been started, has reached negligible progress, or I have to cancel the commission. While I reserve the right to repurpose what has been done, I more than likely will not do so.

Rights/Terms

As the artist, I have the rights to the artwork produced, but obtain no rights to any characters not my own shown therein. I reserve the right to post the artwork upon any appropriate site that I'm a part of.

The commissioner has the right to upload the watermarked art to their profile, and any appropriate site they are a part of, in so long as they provide the proper crediting. Links to the original are appreciated, but by no means a requirement.
Upon request, and presuming I've grown to trust you enough, I may be convinced to allow you to color a sketch/lineart version of an image you'd commissioned, but you are not allowed to remove any signature or watermark from the image. This is not a guaranteed service, so don't go in expecting it every time.
The commissioner may not post an un-watermarked version of the image, but may print the artwork for your own personal use as decoration, poster, etc. The artwork may not be used to make profit off of. Outright tracing the artwork or creating a base with it are strictly forbidden, but breaking the art down for the purposes of studying pose and structure is permitted for personal, non-commercial use.

So, contrary to popular(?) opinion, I have not yet kicked the bucket. Kicked a few dozen empty cardboard boxes out of rampant frustration, maybe, but not the bucket.

Sadly I haven't done much art-wise in the months between my last journal, so yea. Figured I'd make a peep, lest people start worrying or something. Beyond my lack of art, I have been putting more serious consideration and study into more nerdy hobby things, so it's not like I've been totally wiped out and/or lazy.
