A lot has happened and I need to do a bit of an overhaul here. Guess I'll start things off by saying that I'm planning on being at Midwest Furfest this year. I'll be with a couple of my fursuiting friends and bringing along a new Cats costume, possibly something else. Stay tuned.

In other news, much of my attention has been on my new cosplays for D*C and NebKon, including a foray into Homestuck costuming (yeah, I'm going there). Not sure which story should be worked on now. People need to quit finding new anime for me to watch so that I can get something done, hahaha.

Took a while for what turned out to be a simple formatting fix, but I finally got .txt to work for me here. For someone who never works outside of Word, this is a bit of an accomplishment.

Now, I finally got my first two works fixed here and the new one is now up. Yeah, it has the red border on the icon. No, this is not going to be my main focus and it's pretty low on my list of interests. I know I have a few watchers who avoid adult stuff as much as possible and I'd hate to drive them away.

This is me trying something different, but I hope it works well for anyone who reads it.

Is plain text really the only file type that works properly with uploading stories here?

I fixed some formatting errors in my first two stories and have attempted to post one of them again before I do the new one. None of the different file types load properly except for .txt for whatever reason and it corrupts the text within. I've got an .rtf file up right now. The only way to see the story itself is to download the file yourself, but I shouldn't have to tell people to do that.

Grr, I'll deal with it tomorrow.

Yep, still here. I got a new job, which I'm starting next week. First, I leave tomorrow to head to Jersey for Wicked Faire. It'll be my second time attending and if the schedule is any indication, it'll be a hell of a lot better than when I went two years ago (not to mention having a VIP badge). I'll be debuting my Rainbow Dash outfit and my new Cats costume for Tugger, as well as a slightly updated (but still not entirely complete) Bombalurina. Expect a few pics to pop up here when I get back.

I'm still writing, for real this time. One story's nearing the finish line, while I came up with an idea for a series. Something WILL be up next week, I can promise that.

Naka-Kon has gone from "for sure" to "unlikely." Like with this past NebKon, it's going to be a last-minute deal depending on work and how my bank account looks. I don't really have anything new to show at this one, so I won't be terribly disappointed if I have to skip it. I can confirm though that either this or WF will be the last con I do till D*C in August. There's still a chance one of the local ones could happen, but I do need to focus my savings on that one.

I think I have all my cons lined up for the coming year, though there still could be one or two changes. First thing to note is that I'm skipping FC, as is much of my regular group. On my end, I need to get some money stuff sorted and I could have a new job already or some other similar change. I've opted to go for something else big rather than London also, but that one will happen one day.

Naka's still a bit of a maybe right now, but I already have a room for D*C with Temperance and Nanayena. A good chunk of my costume plans are figured out. Wicked will be a short trip, but I get to see my friend Mia for the first time in nearly two years.

With how much D*C is going to run me, I'm not going to commit to anything during the spring or summer (such as OSFest) until we get closer, but I'm sure I'll let you all know. :)

Just a few things. I was able to make it to NebKon after all and that went really well. I've started talking to a bunch of people in the area about some future stuff, so we'll see where that goes.

Writing's stalled again with school taking up all of my creativity. I have three group projects going on. One will be done in a couple of days, one's just starting, and the other is starting to annoy me. Hopefully, I don't end up ranting too much about it. One story is just about done, but it needs a decent ending.

That's kind of it for the moment.

I'm financially stalled right now and I'm scheduled to work that Saturday. As my one new costume plan for it went up in smoke a while back, I think I knew this was coming for a while. I also need to stay focused on FC stuff right now.

So yeah, back at school for my last semester. Not much else to say about that right now. I've been doing a lot of shopping for costume stuff and getting commission stuff figured out the last two weeks. Mungojerrie now officially has a new collar, so I can once say that he's complete.

I'll finally have something to actually post this weekend. When it actually happens depends on work (not that I'm complaining, more hours is always good).

One bit of excitement. FC registration is done and paid for. Airfare's hovering around the area of $350-425 right now, so I'm holding off on that for a while yet.

I know some people have already heard about this on my FB, but I had someone "interested" this week in a costume I'm selling. Just throwing this out there, but don't be making offers or bragging that you're getting it when you don't actually have the money up front (unless you've already made a prior arrangement with me). Also don't use this act with several people in a short period of time, especially in a well-connected community. We tend to notice these things. Here's hoping I won't have to deal with this issue again anytime soon.

I'm saying first because I'm determined to actually start doing shit on here.

This is really just a general update for now. Life itself isn't bad, but could be better. I've gotten a second job online that officially starts Monday and am trying to undo some of the damage done by my dad when he skipped the country and left me and my brother, both college students, up shit creek.

FC room is now reserved with one or two spaces open for four nights. While MFF has pretty much fallen through, I've also been doing a bit of planning for two local cons here, OSFest in late July and Anime NebrasKon in early November. The first one is kind of up in the air due to a possible money opportunity, but the second is definitely a go. I'll be debuting my first non-Cats cosplay there, Rainbow Dash. (Yes, I discovered MLP last month.) I'm in the slow process of buying things for her and narrowing down who I want to commission for the wig and tail, but I'm planning to get her to FC also.

Depending on interest from others and the possibility of another CCDBer making the drive from Michigan, Cats may also be appearing at AN, but more on that as time passes.

Like I said, just general crap for the moment.
