Looking for a roommate!
Posted 6 years agoHey there folks! Now that my house is built and I have confirmed it can stay warm at pretty cold temperatures, I wanna post that I am looking for a roommate!
Ideally for a roommate I wanna live with someone that is an ab/dl or at least enjoys diapers in some way shape or form, because I don't want to have to walk on eggshells and pray I don't forget to put away my pacifier or something. Also in this town, Medieval history and combat is a popular thing, if wearing steel armor and beating on your friends with an axe or mace is your thing, great training opportunity here!
I dont even want to charge any rent, as I only want a roommate because I want someone to talk to, that I have something in common with!
As a heads up! This town offers a lot of jobs where the minimum wage is 20$ an hour, and that is if you have zero experience in the field! Plus tonnes of opportunities for overtime!
For those that enjoy the outdoors, there is a huge ammount of wilderness, there is a lake for swimming a 10 minute drive away, a lake for fishing a half hour away, multiple campgrounds, and lots of hunting opportunities. Yes, we do have guns in canada!
Firstly, it is in the town of Mayo, in the Yukon Territory of canada. It is a very small town of maybe 400 people. It has a grocery store, liquor store, post office, bank and restaurant. You can still get everything you need shipped via internet at least!
Second, my house is small, it is essentially two bedrooms with an entryway, or one bedroom and a living room. There isn't much space, but I would be renting out my living room and turning it into a bedroom for whomever rents. Pictures are available to those who want!
Third, I have no running water or electricity. I read by candle light which works surprisingly well. I charge all my devices at my place of work, and I use cellphone data for entertainmenr. There is an outhouse for bathroom use, and I use a bucket and cloth for bathing. During the summer I set up an outdoor shower which is actually pretty nice!
It is firewood heat, which means to stay warm one has to bring in firewood and keep the fire going. And fire heat is tough to regulate, the fire usually is either too hot or too cold.
And last one off the top of my head is that im an AB/DL and I love crossdressing,
so unless you enjoy either of those things or can at least put up with me enjoying them, it might not be for you to live here.
When I get my house wired for electricity and internet I would hope for some help with the bills if possible :D the airport which is my place of work has access to electricity and internet, though the internet is not good for downloading things.
Eventually I will be getting plumbing, running water and all that, though it will cost me 15 thousand dollars for a well, and another 30 thousand dollars for sewer, so that won't be for at least 5 years before I can afford it.
But yes, this is a serious ad, if you are even slightly interested, or want to work at the local mining camps during the summer months and need a place to sleep, feel free to ask me any questions. If I think of more things to add to this or if you think of important things I should add, feel free to ask me anything!

Getting my life together
Posted 6 years agoToo long and don't give enough craps to read: I bought land and am having a cabin built.
For those that aren't sick of me talking about it yet: so, I'm 29 years old, and being a millenial, I'm not supposed to get my life together, buy myself a home, have a reliable job or any of that jazz. Just avocado toast (whatever the heck that is?)
For the past 8 months, ive been paying a carpenter 1000$ a month to prepay labour to get a small cabin built. Just a 12' by 16' home with a loft. It's nothing big/impressive but for a single guy, its all I need. The property Im buying (hopefully just a few more days and it's in my name) is 1.5 acres or 65 meters by 95 meters in size. Its covered in trees and bushes, and will take a lot of work to clear. The property is only costing me 20 thousand canadian dollars (14 thousand ish USD?) Which I can have paid off in a year.
The cabin is going to cost me about 9000$ (not including windows and a door) which if everything goes to plan should hopefully take me only 4 or 5 months to pay off. Though the labour is going to be another 14 thousanddollars, though the carpenter wants me to continue paying 1000$ a month, so just over a year to pay that off.
The electrician quoted me about 5000$ to wire the house, and ai won't worry about plumbing until I have most of my line of credit paid off. So for the next year or two, Ill be using an outhouse, and paper plates, and relying on a barbecue for cooking.
I am extremely excited. If everything goes as planned, in two months, I won't be paying rent to anyone anymore, and I will be paying to own my own place, where I only need to worry about paying electricity and property taxes. I have enough dead trees on the lot where I won't need to worry about firewood for at least 3 years. That will save me 1500$ a year in heating alone!
When I first started paying for getting a cabin built, My boss said I could have it built on her property and just pay her rent to keep it there. She was going to charge me 500$ a month, and of course Id pay my own heat and electricity. Thats the same price one rents out a bedroom in a house they own. Since I would own my own house, thats a lot of money. Since I'm buying this property, paying for the driveway and gravel foundation to be built, in 4 years, in what I save in rent, the property will be paid for.
My big plans for the property:
1) remove and pile up the dead trees to dry for firewood
2) get a driveway large enough for 3 vehicles to park beside one another
3) cut down a number of trees, just so the property is easy enough to walk through without it being impassable.
4) dig a pit, drop in half a empty fuel barrel, pack gravel around it and make it into a firepit.
5) put benches around said firepit and a small wooden box for firewood to stay dry
6) dig a pit, put in a barrel, surround it in gravel, and build an outhouse.
7) miscellanious unimportant things, like make a kitchen table with foldable legs so I can host dungeons and dragons occaisionally.
8) over a few years, get dirt dropped off or soil, and plant grass.
9) trim the low hanging branches of trees I'm leaving standing on the property.
10) build a fence around the property.
So yus, im getting myself situated and getting a permanent residence in a town I never even expected to visit, let alone move to. Hopefully in 4 years I will have everything paid off, and then I can look into building on an addition.
Im proud, excited, and terrified of what the future holds, so thank you for listening to my rambling!
One day, I would love for my home to be a Haven for furries to come and stay should they be traveling through the yukon for a vacation. A place where, no matter your interests, you can come in, have a hot meal, stay the night to relax from your travels and have a good time. There are so many furries I would love to meet, and if the offer for a free place to stay doesn't sound inviting, perhaps a diaper change or video games, fluffy hugs, and a free meal might!

New years resolutions
Posted 9 years agoI'm a little stranger than most folks with my plans. I'm not about quitting smoking or drinking, or losing weight, or completing school. My resolutions for 2017 is to become more old school. Medieval actually.
I have a huge amount of plans in my future involving the crafting skills of the medieval ages, and there is so much I want to learn and practice!
I'm gonna make a list of the things I wish to learn, and I will have to remember to update it often. I might actually use my old FA account to post the stuff ive learned and made.
I need to put my computer away and work on this stuff, and that is the hardest part. I'm too easily distracted by a screen, but, it is my goal to put a good dent in my skill list :) If you folks wish to learn anything I happen to make, Just ask and I can try to make a youtube video of things?
here's the list which I will update both as I do things, and as I think of more things!
1) Design a heraldry to represent me. I am leaning towards a raven with two arrows in its talons, on a white background with blue border. ill think of more in the future.
2) create a medieval survivalists pouch, and learn how to tool leather into cool designs. Already made the pattern for the bag, just need to cut it out, and also figure out how to stitch it.
3)make myself a bow drill set, and practice using it to make fire at cold temperatures. be good to keep it for the survivalists pouch as well.
4)learn how to cast precious metals. I already have a supply of gold ore I can melt down, I just need to figure out how to melt it properly using medieval techniques and pour it into molds without messing up too bad.
5)learn how to dig for clay for use in making pottery and casting molds
6) make birch tar, its a medieval glue and it also helps waterproof stuff :D
7)Make a bow. and arrows of course.
8) practice archery!
9) make medieval style clothing. its surprisingly simple, I just need to really practice using my sewing machine. would be useful practice for making more modern stuff in the future.
10)Work on my combat skills. my fighting is too straightforward, I just attack non stop, and I don't defend at all. I need to work on that.
11)Help my boss get a forge built for making swords and armor pieces. we already have the anvil we need.
12)Forge a knife. It sounds really boring, but, if I can make a sub par knife using medieval techniques, Ill be the happiest moo!
13)Use wire to make jewellery. the art of wire weaving can make some pretty beautiful pieces, and I am excited!
14)Calligraphy, I want to learn, it is a beautiful form of writing <3
15)make a signet. one of those things used to press ones sigil into melted wax. I'm ordering a bunch of fine silver specifically for that.
16)learn how to make paper using medieval techniques.
17) Learn to hunt, and skin animals I kill. everything is useable, the meat is food, the skin is leather used for making things, the bones can be made into tools, and also food. organs make excellent bait.
18) make cordage from plants such as nettle or willow, or even grass.
19learn how to make grips for sword hilts.
20) make a shield, probably going to make a punching shield.
21) learn and practicing making splint mail.
22)Have a good supply of items to sell at the next medieval tournament back home, try to make some money off of the skills I learn.
23)I want to make a few bracers, just for cosmetic purposes, because they can sell for decent money!
24)learn, and make a shelter in the winter, that can withstand the coldness of winter. and practice those techniques.
25)learn how to trap fish and game for survival situations.
26)Make various jewellery out of chainmail.
27)learn to make leather coin purses
28) learn how to make a leather flask!
29) lots of other techniques I just cant think of right now, will have to update this often I'm sure!

There is a group of us in this town that went to Montreal Quebec, Canada, to fight in an international medieval combat tournament. We call ourselves, the company of the white wolf. A few of us have been selected to go to Prague and Portugal, for the secondary part of the medieval championships, and we were selected to represent team Canada! This is a huge deal, because we have only been a group for less than a year, and actually training in armor for only maybe 4 months. We are the youngest group in the sport, other than Ireland.
What I am asking, is that you spread this journal around, Our members need financial help to get our groups name to spread across the world, and traveling overseas to fight costs huge amounts of money. expecting about 8 thousand dollars per person to go to these tourneys.

Posted 10 years agoI play dungeons and dragons every thursday, and we have this system where every time someone says something retarded (sorry for offensive word, but it sums our group up rather nicely) we would write it down in a small book. the unholy book of notes.
our last game lasted us 2 years and in that time we got a lot of notes, so this year, im wanting to make a custom "note" book.
Just the cover is custom anyways.
our group consists of 3 Grippli, and one tiefling.

and in behind the 3 of them, I would want to get the tiefling to be as an arcanist (because the fourth guy in our group is a dick and didnt want to be a grippli as well.) http://www.giantitp.com/forums/show.....-the-Arcanist-(a-wannabe-Wizard-replacer) for example.
does anybody know any artists that might find this sort of project fun? or anybody that you think would be really awesome for it?

Helping an artist in need!

carnival-tricks is in dire need of help. Due to some folks not paying for stuff they commissioned, he/she will be having trouble paying rent.
There is a breastfeeding and or bondage themed YCH That

Diapers: lots and lots of diapers. Adult furs wearing diapers and Baby-ish clothing. Though none of my art will contain babyfurs (under 18 years of age) in adult situations.
Babyfur stuff: There will be some of this, not very much, but only because I find it adorable!
Latex: As Im sure you've noticed, a few of my characters are made of rubber. I also quite enjoy latex clothing, and as such, my characters will be wearing it often.
Tentacles: I love the wriggly things! Especially the brightly colored, and fruity flavored ones.
Bondage: I will be posting a lot of this.
Vore: Only the soft kind, and not very much of it.
oviposition: Generally only accompanied by tentacles, but we shall see if I can hunt down some fun artists eh.

First official IMCF Tournament!
Posted 10 years agoHay folks! Im super duper proud of myself! I may have lost early in this tournament But, I put up one helluva fight!
I even got my helmet bashed in really bad, where it took 3 people with a hammer, knife and chisel to help me get it off!
Thanks to all the fighters of course, and the spectators that donated their time and money, For our first tournament, It could not have been more perfect!

March, what a helluva month eh?
Posted 11 years agoI mean like, St patricks day is this month, i was born 5 days later, and then diablo 3 expansion is coming out only 3 days after that.
I only drink once a year, and this is going to be a rough one :S

On another note, I'm getting myself a mining claim in a month, gonna try to strike it rich with my gold pan and pick axe. (And a bucket)
Have any of you folks seen that tv series Yukon Gold? Well one of those rich mining guys owes me 20 bucks :p if you haven't seen it, you should :D it's extremely entertaining!
