Coffee mugs and stuff.
Posted 16 years agoThis isn't some out of the blue topic since most of my characters I have created have some sort of craving for coffee and some bordering on coffeeholics. But what about the art on the cups? Is there really a market for suitable furry art on em or is that a bit "too much"? Is is viable? Whats peoples opinion about furry art on merchandise in general. T-shirts, casemods and other ways to put it on. Is it just for the fans or is the general public approachable for this? What about customized stuff specifically made for said item instead of just your random already made pic?
Oh, and one more thing. Should I do it? Design artwork specifically with this in mind (like a tasteful nude with a coffee motif for such a cup/mug)?

Activity Day 04: Heavy Metal
Posted 17 years agoWell the daily posting didn´t work out as planned. Too little response and personal sickness sorta sacked that idea. But I´ll still try my best.
Question: What do you get if you mix Sally Acorn with Hajime Sorayama?
Answer: My current colouring project.
Always wanted to do a pic of a roboticized Sal. Never gotten around to it due to lack of skill to do it the way I wanted it. But now its scanned and well on its way. Its pretty advanced so its ganna take a few days, buts its gonna be worth the wait for sure.
SatAM and Archie sure did get some things and ideas right.

Activity Day 03: working
Posted 17 years agoJust wanted to say that I got some things in the pipeline. Just having a hard time choosing which one to persue.
Activity Day 02: Playing on
Posted 17 years agoFunny isn´t it. Talking about daily updates to my page and what happens? Furaffinity goes down the next day and I can´t write this until now.
Anyways Im gonna talk about one certain show I grew up with in the early 1980s. It was Ulysses 31 among others in those days but several things about this one makes it stand out next to the others. It had great action, impressive visuals and drama. Not too kiddie at all. It was serious in a way. Soo much of it stayed with me over the many years afterwards. But one thing stood out the most. The music.
Im not goona talk about or describe it, that won´t do. So I´ll post a link where you can download and listen to a group that has recreated the themes of Ulysses 31 using real orchestra and additional equipment and most importantly. Doing it while improving on the originals. Just listen to the tracks. You´ll know why we who listened to it over 20 years ago still remembers everything vividly. You can even check for the episodes on youtube.
http://ns21.hosteur.com/~parall/9.u.....lysse31str.htm
You can listen to it directly or download em to your disk. Its .exe files that unpack into .mp3s.

Activity Day 01: Starting up
Posted 17 years agoBeing too tired myself of not getting things done. Its frustrating and the frustation itself keeps me from actually trying. So starting today I´ll try something new. Updating my furaffinity page with something every day, all days. Even is its only a quick hello journal page. Exceptions to this will of course be things like when the site is unavailable (nothing unusual sadly).
I´ve started up colouring some things again, while sketching again on my Transhuman universe setting (bad title). Any sketch and drawing related to this will be tagged with the [H+H] tag or logo. That was pretty good actually. Symbolism will take a rather large role in this. This isn´t a fantasy or sci-fi setting but more of a political, religious and historical one. Which pretty much seperates it from most other furry settings (yep, I´ve checked alot of em).
Its also much a commentary on real life matters and events. So why set it in the 2030/40s and not now? Because we all know that the mistakes we make today will be made later on by someone else knowing full well that they are doing it all over again.
Just wait until the 1980s dress and colour style comes back. We all know it will.
Horrible.

More Oblivion yet again
Posted 17 years agoWhile Im currently writing and sketching on with various things I´ll post some more Bargonian vids. Hell, I might even sketch an Argonian pic soon.

Center of the world.

For a youtube vid its impressive in a way. The choice of music is excellent (Era "The Mass") and the editing follows the flow and coposition of it. But yep, its gives some things to think about. China is back on the world map now after several centuries of being slackers, and they intend to let the world know that in any way possible. What caught my attention with this vid wasn´t just the video itself but the comments itself. 4600 and still going strong, and most of them being racist comments or pure attacks and hatred. Its not just this though, far from it. Look around at whats happening in the world and you can see its not a stable place for the moment. Can´t say Im overtly optimistic about the current events in the world right now.
I enjoy observing and reading about it though.

Funny and Oblivion vid
Posted 17 years agoJust gota love this little holiday "Bargonian" special.

Even with all its flaws (and they are big and numerous) Oblivion is still a fun game to play after some modding. Unintednded comedy happens everywhere and its a nice relaxing experience. I always plays as a reptilian Argonian character in these Elder Scrolls games (except Daggerfall and Battlespire where I was a Nord/Imperial). Lots of "furry" characters in Oblivion and unlike so many other games anthro characters here actually play hero roles or atleast have some form of influence and are a part of the society. But yeah ther are flaws regarding that as well.
I just take Oblivion as it is, a game full of flaws but lots of fun. But Im never gonna consider it a serious addition to the fantasy genre.

Bird in film
Posted 18 years agoSome eager fan of mine "persuaded" me to draw a favorite character of his. Im not impossible and its a bird femme so it wasn´t that hard for me to agree. Its scanned in and all so its on its way for sure. Still think Don Bluth and the gang could have spiced her up a bit, seing she was supposed to be a "Femme fatale" after all.
Up and running.
Posted 18 years agoWell my rig is up and running again. And Im back at drawing some Veronica related pics so things are progressing atleast. yep its moving forward alright.
PSU busted.
Posted 18 years agoDangit my PSU died on me today. Damn Antec one with their limited lifespan (checked the net). Currently using a quick buildup from spare parts so I cannot use my regular programs, nor scan anything new until my new Seasonic PSU can arrive.
Ah well I needed to cut down on the time in front of the comp anyways. Perhaps I´ll resume drawing and sketching again :)
PS. PSU= Power Supply Unit.

Designing Shawna again
Posted 18 years agoCurrently finishing up my redesign for my retilian/tranhuman character Shawna Nzima. Gonna do a trace of her so I can make two pics, one without any clothing (of course) and the other official one with her in uniform. Its gonna be a bios/charcter pic so I´ve worked that one out too while Im writing the guide book about the hybrids. One funny thing is that she as a fobia about snakes. Considering that she can become a reptilian hybrid herself reaching about 3 m (10 ft) puts it into somewhat of an odd twist to the character, Things like that helps to define her as a character I believe. She´s also a heavy coffee user and LOTR fan.
Don´t like furries or the fandom in general though, and is one of those people that put fursuiter=furry into the same category.
First pic I posted with her was in 2001. One of my first furry pics ever posted on the net. Its time for her to come back.

Writing
Posted 18 years agoAlong with the current ongoing projects I’ve also started to write a little. Sort of some info regarding the Transhumans. I think this has some potential but can’t say how much. Nothing story related yet, just trying to set up some rules and details about them.
The "transhuman" description kind of suits them better the more I think about them. They’re not furries or cartoons. But people no matter their appearance they have now they remain who they were. Some unbreakable rules about them do now apply though.
When you draw them it’s the following to go by:
Half beast, half toon. 100% human.
It only applies to the drawing style and the setting in the pics. The stories simply tell their tale. Some sayings like the following three lines are important ones to follow, because they say directly what they are and what their stories are about.
They are expanding humanity.
They are extending humanity
They are a part of humanity.
This one is going to be a long and hard road to walk for me, and I guess its time to start now. One little step at a time.

Some help
Posted 18 years agoBeen a while since I updated things here but good things come to those who wait.
Im currently finishing up my Gadget Figurine pic (after a 2 week pause on it) and its looking good, very good infact.
But whats missing is a suitable background for it which is part why Im writing this little update. I would apreciate the help to aquire a background I can use for the pic (the angle and all can be seen in the preview) with some form of shelf with other figurines behind, or sideways from her. I really would appreciate some help and of course whoever sends the pic that I use will be credited.
Otherwise I´ll work something out. Thats me in a nutshell, always got a backup when needed (thank god I had one when my media HDD crashed a few weeks ago).

At work
Posted 18 years agoThe reason for the current lack of upgrades is due to work. I now work as a teacher for this term, so Im gonna be quite busy with that. Plenty of time for artwork still on my spare time though. It happened pretty quick too. L just called the school in my community asking if the needed some part time teachers and they just told me to get my butt over there tomorrow and start work instantly. Desperation is a positive force.
Going Vista
Posted 18 years agoJust got my copy of MS latest operating system and Im gonna try it out now over the weekend. Its the Business edition since its a MSDNAA (academic alliance) license, but hey free stuff from Microsoft is never wrong! :)
Not gonna upgrade fully yet though, but dual boot it and try it out before fully migrationg some time later (and after some service packs appear). Got many leagcy stuff that has no drivers for Vista and probably never will like my Santa Cruz sound card, my trusty Canon scanner that has scanned all my furry stuff for years and so on... Not to mention my Photoshop 6 program which I don´t know if it will run on it.
Anyways can´t wait to test it atleast.
And as for the furry artwork Im still booked doing this game design/gfx thing so thats keeping me occupied for atleast 2 weeks more. But after that expect to see more stuff from me.

It sells
Posted 18 years agoSeems like people liked that rubber bird pics of mine. Gotta sort through almost a hundred watch/fav/comments and se what I can reply to because of that one. :)
Sex and kinkyness does seem to sell indeed.
Merry xmas to you all as well!!!

No Subject
Posted 18 years agoWell the new bird Lucy is posted and looks pretty alright. Same as with the Foxy_Deco pic that is was originally meant to be a simple colour job but in the end I did spend some time on it. A male bird is in the sketching works and its actually Lucys human boyfriend which she unwillingly transformed after having a somewhat forced mating with him. They do learn how to control this ability, and their appearence after a while.
A new bird
Posted 18 years agoCurrently colouring a new sexy bird character I´ve designed. Not gonna say more about it other then its sexy and good lookin. Haven´t coloured a sexy anthro bird pic in quite some time (only sketches). Just gotta love this one though.
For sneak peaks contact me on MSN messenger, Im not gonna post it until its done.
Birds are sexy, powerful is the lord, all praises to Allah and God bless America :)

Bird "purists"
Posted 18 years agoYeah, I´ve had to deal with them several times. I simply cannot believe that in the furry fandom we actually have almost fanatical purists just like society in general. It doesn´t help that I slap the scentific definition of Aves right into ther faces either (Feathered Vertebrates). So anything that has a spine, and most important, feathers, are in fact birds. Velociraptors were birds, and shit even a mythical being like a Sphinx is by definition one. But no, they gotta have cloaca, beak and no boobies!!! (well I can understand the last part since anything with mammaries will in fact be a mammal). And then there is the penis thing, big objections about that too even if there are real life birds and reptiles that have those.
Yeah, I know I shouldn´t even take notice about those fanatical fu**s and let them bother me. But Im not gonna kid myself either. I do take notice, we all do so lets not kid our selves about that.
I find these pure fantasy birds of mine sexy and interesting. They have boobs, they have cocks of unnatural length. And they are birds if I add feathers to them. Nothing but drawings but symbolic. Birds are symbols to alot of people including me. They are symbols of peace, war, liberty, life and a multitude of other forms of symbolisms we let them represent. And I have mine.
And I will always draw them the way I choose, and no matter what I add to these feathered vertebrates they are and will always be birds. Thats symbolic of artistic freedom.

Drinks and drawing
Posted 18 years agoAhh, just sitting back and enjoying some Glogg and Julmust makes the day. Its the season for it, although I sometimes add some Captain Morgan (black) into the mix, or at the side. I enjoy practically most drinks that are spiced, and some of the spiced beer this year is among the best I´ve had. And for those of you who don´t know what Glogg/julmust is:

Been doing some sketches for the game projects, but since all of them are non-furry I won´t upload them here. Stay tuned for some mythological dragons or other beings though.
And I got some furry stuff coming along as well....

Submit... Bah!
Posted 19 years agoWell im gonna wait a day before I submit another pic. A nice little harpy related one (well if one ever can call a harpy "nice").
Got lots of other art to do these days for a game project Im working on. When some furry related sketches are done I´ll upload them here as well. Its not a commercial game, just a exam project for one side collage course Im studying on (game development). Since Im the most able when it comes to sketching and colouring in the group (didn´t show them all of my work though, heh heh), I got chosen for the art lead.

Macabre is fun… sometimes.
Posted 19 years agoJust been playing through some old goodies, and dangit Fallout 1 and 2 is just so damn great games to enjoy. Top notch storyline, gameplay, dialogue, characters and overall RPG elements make them what they still are today. Herve should rot in hell for all times for what he (and several others) did to Interplay and especially Black isle studios. When I back at all the great games that IPLY and BI did, and what remains I feel kinda sad about it. Had lots of good gaming experiences with their products.
Anyways, back to the juicy and fun bit that fallout 2 is full of. I remember I had an encounter sometime with some farmers fighting of Super mutants (big green humanoid muffos), and then this kid runs (turn based gameplay) straight towards this minigun holding 8 feet muscle mountain and hits him in the knee, causing him to scream and fall flat to his back on the ground. Pretty tough kid. And of course what happens next is that the super duper mutant gets up, fires a full mag of 5.55mm minigun bursts straight into this (now screaming) kid and totally cuts him to bits with only his legs left that falls to the ground. Did I mention that Fallout 2 is a violent game? Perhaps, but its fun. A completely innocent kid gets turned into pulp and Im laughing my ass off! Why because the entire situation and actions is so far over the top that you can´t help yourself. The macabre and extreme violence actually works as a comic effect. A great game. And if you want the macabra I recommend Planescape:Torment from Black Isle as well. One of the best games ever made.
And as for the other medias. Just look at the Commando movie with Ahn-nuld. Its all over the top, cheesy and completely non-serious but we love it. Don´t know about placing a kid in front of a minigun in commando, but it could have worked considering all the other messed up things that go on there (hedges that are bullet proof?). Geesh, it is a shitty movie. But its a very good shitty movie that I can watch many times over.
