My birthday was the 25th of April. Celebrating by:

Hey watchers!

I want to gauge interest in a system where people interested in my art could donate a minimum amount to a charity of my choice, send me the receipt, and then I draw them something of their choice.

Prices would be VERY low, and you'd feel good about yourself! Charities would be animal-related, most likely focused around rat rescues (no PETA bullshit).

I'm thinking $3 for a simple piece of artwork, and $7 for something complex like a ref sheet? These would be minimums, of course, you could always donate more. I know my art is NOTHING near professional (especially my shitty anatomy) but I think it's fair since the money is *not* going to me.

Turn-around would be within a month, most likely MUCH sooner. I could take on maybe 5 at a time? Lemme know if anyone is up for it. I think it could be cool.

Thought I'd let people know this, and plus, I wanted to write stuff down about it. I'm probably forgetting A LOT, but this journal will probably be updated when I remember. Also, besides making feetpaws, this is my first fursuit. I want to do my research, take my time, spend money where appropriate, and GET THIS THING RIGHT. Matrices tutorials and a few random ones around the web are proving to be quite helpful.

Materials gathered:
-pink seal fur
-balaclava spandex fabric
-head form (coming in the mail)
-high density foam
-leggings for digi legs

Materials wanted:
-gray average length fur, such as DF - about 2-3 yards
-black sparkle fur - about 1 yard
-strong enough clippers/shaver (about $65 new)
-appropriate clipper blade (about $20 new)
-eye mesh
-something to color eye mesh (research needed)
-fleece for inner ears, tongue, pawpads, and nose

Things currently working on:
-sew balaclava
-finish digi leg padding
-buy stuff

To be worked on soon and later:
-sculpt head
-duct tape dummy
-sew handpaws
-sculpt feet
-sew, sew, sew
-a whole lot more

First rant journal, first opinion journal. Let's do this!

If you think calling someone "fat" is OK because they choose to be unhealthy, then you're mistaken.

Let me start with an example. Johnny, let's say a man with a love for candy, recently developed heart disease because of all the trans fats he consumed. Does that make it OK to call him "lard heart"? Or how about making jokes that his heart will stop beating? Seem harsh?

What about if Richard had a love for high calorie foods, and he became gradually obese? Does that make it OK to call him "fat"?

Of course it's not OK in either situation. Even though their actions led up to a health concern, that doesn't make it OK to be a fucking asshole about it. In both cases they aren't choosing to have heart disease or be obese, they chose to take the risk by eating what they wanted.

No one (except a few individuals) actually choose to be obese. So why call them names for it? On another note, learn to mind your own health concerns, and be supportive if someone you know wants to be healthier. Just don't force it on them.

1.  pugbites Pugbites is one of my favorite artists, and I was lucky enough to snag one of her $25 slots. She produced the art in less than three days, closer to two if I remember. Not to mention she's friggen hilarious with her pug-loving attitude. Go watch her at LEAST.

2.  ghostmeat Ghostmeat makes those awesome floating heads that you see ALL OVER fa, for a good reason. The price for the piece was $12. Ghostmeat has a quick turn-around and gave Bruxee a unique rendering, just look at that yellow pickle tongue!
