Dec 2024 Update (Long Overdue Edition)

I've been dedicating nearly all of my art time to our game company Cinnamon Switch. With one completed game under our belts and two more on the way, we're staying very busy! For those curious about what we're working on, here's a summary below:
Mice Tea (released)
Mice Tea has been released on Itch.io and Steam! If you purchase it on Itch you will get both a Steam key and an Android build. It also gives us a better portion of the sales, so that's the best way to support us if you'd like! We continue to be blown away by the incredibly warm reception it has received and the community of fans we've built over the years.
This year on April Fool's Day we released a free standalone (and non-canon) update called Oops! All Gyarus! that features collaborations with a ton of cool TF artists. It was a TON of fun to work on and I think TF fans of all varieties will enjoy it!
We will soon be releasing a free update to Mice Tea that will add Oops! All Gyarus! to the base game as well as fix a significant number of typos and art mistakes pointed out by our eagle-eyed (and other-eyed) readers. We've also added a few extras that help lay the grounds for Mice Tea's sequel:
Coffee Buns
Two years after the events of Mice Tea, freelance barista and resident twink Leonardo Bianco is already having a crisis of identity before learning that Kemono Tea turns them into a white rabbit. With the help of his friends, co-worker, and even his boss, Leo learns to address their gender identity as their body fights between masc and femme presentation. It's a furry gender-bender story with an enby twist!
Coffee Buns has been an absolute blast to create so far, and I've very happy with both how the characters' designs turned out and how they're coming to life in the writing. I also get to finally put my full bunny suit powers on display in a way I hope you all will look forward to and enjoy! Coffee Buns is planned to be about half the length of Mice Tea, so about a year or so of development is still in our future before its full release. You can check out a demo on Itch and the latest early access builds on the Cinnamon Switch Patreon. In addition to demos and early builds of Coffee Buns, you will also find:
Crossed Signals
Sam Laine is your average computer science student attending West University with his friends Eric and Danny. Unfortunately his phone has seen better days, and when he takes it in for repairs he's given the opportunity to choose a temporary replacement. He chooses a particularly flashy-looking flip phone on a whim, but later finds it has the ability to swap the callers' consciousnesses! Will he swap bodies with the cute girl he's been crushing on in Calculus? The sporty guy he met at the library? Eric's thorny cheerleader girlfriend? His absolute MILF of a math teacher? The choice is yours!
Crossed Signals, a body-swap visual novel written by Gunzil and illustrated by TheTransformistress, is a romp with tons of fun twists and turns. It has a lot of tonal variety between decisions and a colorful, witty cast of characters I think you'll enjoy. Crossed Signals, much like Mice Tea, is an undertaking of passion to bring a level of quality and comfort to the genre it occupies, and I think Gunzil and Mira are absolutely nailing it! I can't hint a release window any time soon, but demos and early access builds are available on Itch and Patreon respectively.
Anyway....
With so much time dedicated to game development over the past 6 years, personal art has slowed down considerably. That being said, I've recently made some lifestyle choices that will lead to more art time and therefore more KDhynamo-branded content!

Lastly, I'll be taking a few lined/colored pinup commissions this winter, and you can apply for one using this form!

I thankfully have a job now, but I still plan on completing as many commissions as possible. Dunno why I'm really bothering to write a journal after a year and a half of ignoring them. Guess I feel I need to break the silence.
2020 is a mess. I hope you're all doing well out there. Things are getting weird for me too, especially now, but I feel very positive about where I can go from here both professionally and artistically.
If you could do me a huge favor and check out the Mice Tea demo (https://cinswitch.itch.io/mice-tea), I'd really appreciate it. A lot of talented people have poured tons of hours into making it a much nicer experience than last time I wrote about it.
That's all for now. Catch me on Picarto for streams in the evenings (most of them) until I can get another job.

It's time for a new round of commissions! I'm going to open 4 slots tomorrow, September 1st, at 12:00pm EDT. They will be first-come first-serve, so if you'd like to get a commission from me, please send me a note tomorrow AFTER the Open journal is posted!
I wanted to do this to give everyone a fair chance at getting a shot at a commission, but if you don't get a slot, don't despair! I will open more slots as I complete other commissions in my queue and notify you of those ahead of time as well.
One last IMPORTANT note: I will be changing the price of the "full body sketch + flat color" tier to be the "full body lines + flat color" tier. I'm doing this since there is little difference in quality between my lines and sketchy lines, since I tend to refine sketches endlessly. This will also bring the tier to parity with the TF step prices, meaning all tf steps will essentially be the same as other commissions, just grouped together. I hope you feel this is fair and that it doesn't impact your decision in a negative way!

Just wanted to give a heads up on all that's going on so far this month, and perhaps get some feedback from you as well.
First of all, I'm still pretty busy with a commission I've had since April, and I don't really think it's right to open more commissions until that one is done.
In the same vein, I'm aiming to open my patreon page at the beginning of August as well. I'll create another journal when I do and I'll fill you in with more details as I get closer to launch.
Lastly, I have a project that I'll begin working on in late July/early August that I hope to eventually add to my patreon incentives AND to post more content here. Just as before, I'll let you know more as the time draws nearer.
With all that stuff out of the way, this is looking to be a pretty nice month. Thank you for all the new watchers and to all those who come to check out my work. I'm super excited even to get a fav on my work, so I appreciate the support!

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who's followed me in the last few months. I've been procrastinating on thanking everyone on their pages and I apologize for that. Even though it was a lot of copy/paste, my message is quite sincere: I appreciate those who support me by following my work and giving me their feedback as well as those who reach out to chat. Thanks so much!
The last time I opened commissions was in mid-April, and I'm still working on one big commission from that set, so I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that I need to either decrease my availability or limit the amount of higher-effort commission types I accept at once. I'd rather do the former than the latter, but we'll see how this shakes out as I get ready to open another round for July.
Also, I'm interested in those of you who would be interested in a Patreon that I will be opening soon. My plan is to start very slow and ramp up if there's enough support. I'm only planning two tiers at the moment. Tier 1 is $1 for a .zip of any art I've uploaded for the month in original resolution, and Tier 2 is $5 for the zip file and a b/w headshot commission of any character you choose.
Since this is my first time doing something like this, I'm looking for any feedback you can get. Again, I plan to make it small to start so that it doesn't interfere with the time I have for regular commissions. If you don't think it's a good idea to give it a shot at the moment, that's feedback I'd like to hear as well!

I guess I lied about not opening in April!
I'm opening 3 commission slots as of now! Once again I'm asking that they be limited to female characters and only mildly NSFW content. Partial nudity (top) is okay but not full please.
You can request more than one TF panel up to a maximum of 3. Price scales directly with number of panels. Three panels are $105

Favorite Things 'Bout Spring? (Also No Commissions in April)

What's your favorite thing about Spring? Other than the excuse to draw bunnygirl outfits around Easter time (as if I needed an excuse), I enjoy listening to the year's first thunderstorms and the fact that the weather can be both sunny and brisk. I also feel that this time of year tends to be the most creative for me, probably because the Winter doldrums are past and I can actually see the sun again.
What are your favorite things about Spring? Even if it's not your favorite season, what do you look forward to around this time of year?
If you live in upside-down world, what are your favorite things about Autumn?
I also want to make a quick announcement about commissions: I've gotten a few inquiries about when I'll be opening another round of commissions, but I won't be for some time. Art time will be limited in April as I'll be spending a week and a half travelling Japan (AWESOME!) and also fixing up my house now that the weather's getting a bit warmer. If I have any free time for art, I'll probably be spending it on personal drawings. I will of course still be finishing my current open commissions, so no worries!
