The Error of Bad Business
Posted 11 years agoSo I saw an article on Yahoo! about a man's horrid time dealing with Comcast to cancel his service. He recorded the conversation with the rep on the phone and posted it to his SoundCloud account and tweeted it publicly, causing an uproar and prompting Comcast to release a statement about the reps behavior and tactics, which is just another BS PR move that solves nothing and further shows their incompetence.
Here is the article - https://www.yahoo.com/tech/this-may.....851980684.html
So I decided to post a "comment" myself and this is what I ended up writing...
"Keep posting stories like this and it will get them to change their ways. If lawmakers won't do what is necessary to make these companies act like civil human beings and a respectable business, then the next best thing is the news, which cannot be bought (well not all of them anyway), and human outcry. These greedy, careless, pocket lining companies won't get away with it forever if stories of their horrible business practices get out to the public in any way, shape, or form that reaches millions of readers to see the truth behind the veil of their BS "friendly" commercials, ads, and PR campaigns. Lawmakers will be deemed unnecessary in this sense when Comcast and familiar cable companies go bankrupt and out of business due to poor customer relations.
In all actuality, cable/satellite providers in general better start making some severe changes with cheaper options and improved customer service, or they will all find themselves as extinct dinosaurs in the next decade. It has already been confirmed that many households these days, especially younger people, don't even have cable. Don't want it, don't need it. With the internet, they don't need to rely on greedy cable companies for media entertainment. With better companies such as Netflix and Hulu, between the two of them, you can get all your movie/tv show desires (including new, currently on air TV shows/movies) met for a little over $20 a month as compared to $60-120 a month with cable and satellite TV. The only thing missing is live sports really. Give that some time and someday a sports version of Netflix/Hulu will exist. Then what? An extra $10 or so bucks a month? Still way cheaper than handing your money over to these bastard companies. $30 a month give or take VS. $60-120 a month give or take...
I think it is clear to see why cable/satellite is starting to become less popular. You also don't need these companies for internet or phone services in most places. Plenty of other third party options for internet and phone. Besides that, landline phone services are the next to become extinct, probably faster than cable; for residentials anyway. They will always be a part of a business, but individuals themselves, most people have cell/smart phones now a days. The people I really feel bad for are the people who HAVE to put up with companies like Comcast because it is the only options in their areas. Luckily that is starting to change, slowly but surely. If the cable companies wish to stay in business and make profits without selling their souls to greed and poor business practices, they will need to completely revamp how they do things. One major ideal is to give people the channels they want, without all this "we can't do that, you have to buy the whole package" mumbo jumbo so they can charge you more. Just as they spoofed in an episode of South Park in the "Murder Porn" episode. Just give people the specific channels they want, charge a decent price for said channels, give good customer service, and if people wanna cancel, let them. It's not your business or concern to know WHY they want to cancel, they have clearly made up their mind that they want to cancel, and unless you give them a huge discount for continuing business (this happens seldomly actually) you aren't going to change their minds about cancelling, and will only serve to hinder what is inevitable, that they will cancel in some manner, regardless of the BS headaches and mind games you wish to cause.
Just a simple "We're sorry to hear that, but we hope you come back to us some day" will go a long way in possibly ensuring that they may come back some day... But all this greedy and hindering questioning and petty temporary refusals to cancel service will only ensure that they will not come back after leaving a sour taste in their mouth. It should be illegal to "refuse" to cancel someone's service like this. They pay you money for this service, they don't want to pay you money for said service anymore, it's their money, not yours, deal with it and cancel their service. Maybe if you weren't so desperate to keep your customers and their money due to failing cable sales, maybe you would make it easier on them eh? Oh but wait, in order to do that first, you'd have to improve service, but you don't wanna do that do you? Of course not... And cable companies wonder why more and more people live without cable these days. Other companies like Google and even video game consoles and so on are making it easier and easier to get entertainment from the net to your TV screen such as Netflix and Hulu that I mentioned earlier. Not to mention YouTube, and as I said earlier, give it time and a sports version of those will come about as well, rendering cable completely obsolete and useless to these modern times. If they don't change, they will get what's coming to them, trust me... It's only a matter of time. The reason good companies stay in business is because they are actually good. The reason bad companies that "appear" to be good stay in business so long is because of swindling. Sooner or later the swindlers will die out while the truly good ones thrive. Most of the time anyway. Some good companies die out for various reasons, but I think I made my point clear in this novel long post."
This can apply to any business practicing piss poor service and customer relations, but seeing as how it was relevant to cable/satellite TV providers, that is all I went into mainly.
It just sickens me how much bad companies prey upon people under the guise of being a good company, as I talked about in my comment.
What are some of your experiences with this and other issues revolving around business' poor service?

Am I the only one...
Posted 11 years agoWho finds the Dish kangaroo mascot, Hopper, sexy? I am not normally huge into plushyphilia, I mean I've done a few "censored" acts with some of my plushies before, especially my Pepe Le Pew one, but I am not the type to wanna masturbate with every cute plushy I see... LOL...
But yeah.... That sexy Hopper babe-a-roo.... I'd fuck the stuffing outta her!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka1jdqsop4U
After all, anything can be made into a sex toy, and for furries, plushies are not exempt... Hahaa

Posted 11 years agoWhy anyone would be a republican these days... Do these people not see the immense flaws of their party? Bigotry? I mean they seem to hate women, gays, and minorities with a passion, yet there are also lots of women, gay, and minority republicans who only serve to vote against their best interest.
Then you have those genius republican politicians who claim outrageous shit like Todd Akin's stance on rape a while back about how women can't get pregnant through rape because their bodies "won't allow it". Breast milk cures homosexuality? Hurricanes devastated the country because we challenged creationism? As Bill Nye said, how can anyone take these idiots seriously? Todd Akin is far from being the only republican to spout out such ridiculous nonsense, that is but one example.
Then we have that whole deal recently with the immigrants on the bus that got blocked by republican protesters, scaring the shit out of women and children with their prejudice words and even beating the sides of the bus.
Then republicans have the audacity to claim liberals are the idiots? Are the immoral ones? Are the uneducated ones? They call us "bleeding hearts" (which is a term that means you CARE), yet they are the "moral majority"? I don't know what kinds of morals they think they are teaching, intolerance? Bigotry? Being against basic human/civil rights? If that is decent and proper morality to them, they are all psychotic and probably have brain disorders.
Let's not forget the whole Mitt Romney leak in 2012 where he was caught on camera blasting poor people as if they were lowly pieces of scat. Republicans are the party for the rich, so I can SOMEWHAT understand rich people being republican to better protect their wealth, even though democrats aren't gonna steal all their money, and whatever tax increases on the rich democrats impose, it's not like they can't afford it. This is why we have rich democrats as well, because they understand they can give up a few more tax dollars where as poor people barley getting by, cannot. I will never understand why poor people would vote republican. Oh wait, yes I do, because they feel like women, gays, and minorities are ruining their lives, thus they vote for the party that does all they can to make sure their rights never become realized...
A marine republican on Twitter claimed "Seeing tweets from liberals is an amusing time killer. They are like 2 year olds behind a keyboard."..... Now I am all for giving our troops a general respect and support for what they do, regardless of being against the wars over the last decade+ and so on, but i'm sorry, I can't respect a pig headed marine who claims such nonsense. I just replied with "If we are the two years olds, then you must be the one year old who supports bigotry, hates woman, gays, and minorities." and blocked him afterwards as I am not about to get into a twitter war with an idiot. Just say my piece and leave.
What? Do these idiots not realize what their party stands for? Do they just pretend like their representatives didn't just say outlandish, and retarded things that go against science, intelligence, and basic common sense? Do they turn a blind eye to all the fucked up things their party is doing to this country?
Sure, blame Obama for the way the country is now... It's not like any of it was Bush's fuck ups. Maybe if Obama didn't have to deal with everything Bush fucked up, not to mention having to deal with republicans blocking everything he tries to do to fix things, maybe, just maybe the country wouldn't still be in such shambles, don't ya think?
All these republicans who eat up and actually BELIEVE all the rat shit that guys like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck spew out of their redneck mouths.. Just.... What!? How can people be so stupid?
Republicans still make fun of Bill Clinton for the infamous Monica Lewinsky blowjob scandal... Yet republicans like Newt Gingrich divorced multiple wives for disgusting reasons, including one while she was recovering from cancer. God forbid Hillary and Bill worked it out and are still married. We just can't have that! Forget the fact that under Clinton we had one of the biggest surpluses in U.S. history, good foreign relations, and a booming economy. But that's no good is it? Nah...
And then you have the biggest dick of them all, Mr. Cheney criticizing Obama for his choices in the current resurfacing conflicts in the Middle East, when Cheney and Bush were the ones that started it all as far as our involvement in it, and are guilty of much more revolving around the same subject. Hypocrisy and dementia combo maybe?
The list goes on and on and on...
And look, I am not trying to act like liberals and democrats always do everything right. Obama has made his fair share of mistakes and fuck ups, every president, democrat or republican has. It's called being human... Human nature... Flaws are part of being human. Democrats and liberals have done some pretty fucked up things before as well, but not NEARLY on the same level or as much. That is the main difference. Few mistakes here and there vs. a SHITLOAD of mistakes on a near constant basis.
Obamacare? Is it perfect? No, hell no... Does it have flaws? Oh hell yeah.... But republicans act like it's the end all, be all of this country, despite the fact many of their own ideas made it into Obamacare... Obamacare may not be the fix all answer, but it is a step in the right direction. I myself got affordable health insurance because of it when before hand I had no insurance for over 8 years because of my diabetes and the "pre existing conditions" bullshit.
Ever see the documentary by Michael Moore, Sicko? That documentary spells out why health care in this country is sooo fucked up. Good, hard working people who couldn't get what they needed to keep them healthy, all because of insurance companies bullshit agenda to line their greedy pockets with cash... Only now has Obamacare started to rectify some of that unfair, unethical, greedy mess called health care in the US. But all you will see are republicans claiming how horrible it is and that we are becoming a communist nation because they are too uneducated to realize that socialized medicine =/= communism. But do you know what it does mean? Better health care for our citizens and healthier people over all. And people wonder why Cuba, a poor third world country, has a superior health care system to us, a rich country. The richer a country is, the better it should be able to provide health care and other things to it's citizens. In theory of course, but when you have retarded republicans cock blocking everything that will make our country greater and a better place to live, you end up with ass backwards shit.
Again, democrats are not all perfect, no party is, and both parties make mistakes... But I just don't understand why so many people (especially poor people, women, gays, and minorities) feel the need to vote republican and thus, against their own interests...
In closing, I for one would rather be in a party that makes a few mistakes here and there, than in a party that makes a shitload of them. A party that evolves, rather than a party that devolves. A party that supports civil/equal human rights, rather than a party that stands for discrimination, bigotry, and inequality. Sure, some democrats and liberals have made the mistakes of supporting issues that revolve around inequality and such, but not nearly on such a grand scale of seemingly mass hatred levels as conservatives and republicans, who mainly do what they do out of pandering to religious groups and lobbyists, AKA the highest bidders. Again, democrats have done this from time to time as well, but not nearly as much, ad they seem to know when to take support from religious groups and lobbyists, and when not to, when it comes to the general well being of the countries citizens.
And just FYI, if you are a republican/conservative, and feel the need to blast me in this journal, or "correct" anything I've said in this journal, feel free to, just don't expect me to get into a shouting match with you like toddlers on a playground. If I feel the need to, I will delete any comments I find disgusting and massively ignorant. And i'm sure you'll use that logic of "Looks like he can't handle the truth" or "Just like a liberal to dish out trash talk but can't handle it thrown back at them!" or whatever "clever" and "witty" thoughts you may have, but it is as simple as me being in control of my own journal and journal comments. That and I just don't want any mass republican idiocy spouted in my journal comments section. Call me a hypocrite, call me a whiner, call me a dumb ass liberal piece of shit if you wish, it is what it is. I'd rather be labeled that, then be a supporter of bigotry and inequality on a massive scale. ;3

Chasing popularity...
Posted 11 years agoIs quite over rated... I find all these people chasing after and attaining "internet popularity" to be quite silly. After all, it's about quality, not quantity. Most people craving attention and chasing after popularity for whatever deep seeded reasons would find greater happiness surrounding themselves with a few decent friends over a bunch of acquaintances that don't connect with them nearly as well.
Not only that but I find the term "Popufur" to be highly retarded... lol

The Power of Art + ET Graveyard
Posted 11 years agoFew things in life effect you the way art can. Music, movies, TV, pictures, stories, etc... have a way of creating mixed feelings that not many things in this life can successfully. Especially while revolving around sad or negative feelings that at the same time make you say "I like this". Things like gore fest horror movies where the bad guy wins, or a song that makes you think of a past love you still have feelings for.
It just amazes me how powerful art is with influencing our emotions in ways most other things can't. With most things in life you either like it, don't like it, or you're indifferent. You're not gonna hate the flavor of a certain food but then eat it cause you like it. That makes no bloody sense! XD However, you can listen to a song that makes you sad, yet you still like the song and like listening to it. Emotions drive us in many ways, but they don't usually get mixed like that with such polar opposites clashing. I guess that makes sense, after all, any form of art is human expression projected outward with creativity, right?
Anyway, the only reason I bring it up is because earlier today I heard a song that made me think of a recent ex and our past and it made me kinda sad, but I really liked the song. I listened to it on Youtube and may download it. lol
Nothing new, it's happened to me many times in life, but I just really started to think about it and analyze it for a second.
It's kinda like how I've always been attracted to villains more in fiction. Freeza and Cell from Dragon Ball Z are my top two characters for example. And I don't mean "Fav villians" I mean favorites out of everyone in DBZ. Hell, Sosuke Aizen from Bleach is my favorite fictional character of all time actually. I like the heroes too, obviously, but I tend to go for villains because they make me feel more excited, they are bad asses who deceive and demolish anyone in their way, and I like that. I used to wonder why that was. Obviously I am not a bastard IRL who thinks people doing horrible, cruel things is ok, yet in fictional entertainment, i'm like "Hell yeah!" Hahaa... But then I realized it was all based on feelings within fantasy art more or less. I simply find the villains more exciting even though i'd never condone behavior like that IRL.
The human mind is veeeeeery interesting sometimes... Mhmm!
Also, I just learned not long ago that they found the stash of old ET game cartridges for the Atari that were buried decades ago in my town, Alamogordo, New Mexico! I knew they were gonna try finding them, but didn't realize they did it today! That's crazy! It used to be a big rumor more or less, but they found it! That's so awesomely strange!
I remember first hearing about this graveyard years ago, I can't believe they actually found it. I wonder if they are even worth much?

Popular furs and rudeness...
Posted 11 years agoSeems as if this is becoming more and more of a problem these days. It's always been an issue, but I have seen more and more furs talking about it as of late. You have either been a long time fan or just became a fan of an awesome furry artist who happens to be very popular within the fandom because of their artistic talents. You watch/follow them, praise them for their work, fav their art, etc... Everything is going good right?
Then.... Well, then you see them act like gigantic assholes either to you directly, or someone else, for whatever reasons. And not just one knee-jerk response because they are having a bad day, that happens to all of us, but ALL THE TIME. It begins to sicken you, upset you, and puts you in a down or angry mood. Perhaps you can let it go without much negative thought towards the artist, I have been known to do that before, but sometimes for me, and most of the time for others, it just spoils the whole thing for you to the point you don't wish to follow, fav, or praise said artists and their talent anymore.
Why does this happen? Well there are a few reasons...
A. They were jerks before they ever became popular to begin with.
B. Popularity and fame has a way of ruining people to the point their ego's grow out of control.
C. They feel as if people only like them because of their talents.
I'm sure there are more than likely some other reasons for each individual, but those 3 seem to be the main reasons why.
The first reason cannot be helped. If you are an asshole before gaining popular status, becoming popular won't change that. Of course it would be unfair to say that the opposite never happens. I am sure some artists who were once constantly surly and rude became humbled and friendly after gaining popularity, because said popularity made them feel more liked and appreciated, thus changing their whole outlooks on things. Sadly though, for many, the phrase "once an asshole, always an asshole" sticks with them...
The second reason is unfortunately a horrible side effect of gaining popularity and fame, or wealth. Some people can't handle it and they allow it to ruin them and their personalities, granting them some sort of egotistical god complex that enables them to act like complete assholes when they were once perfectly friendly and respectful people. It is quite sad really, and there isn't much that can be done about it.
And the third reason is simply self explanatory. If you felt people only liked you for your talents, and didn't care about you as a person, then that is an understandable reason as to why they'd act like that to everyone. It may not be a GOOD reason, especially if their feelings are wrong, but is an understandable feeling all the same.
This is not only true for popular furs within the fandom, but our world in general. How many times have celebrities done horrible things and acted like jackasses? Mel Gibson, Justin Beiber, Lindsey Lohan, Charlie Sheen, and Alec Baldwin are some that come to mind over the last several years, as well as countless others. They seem to act like idiots here and there, yet retain their celebrity status. For whatever reasons, including drug abuse, they act the way they do, and most of them keep on being that way, whilst keeping their popular and wealthy status'. Some of them eventually get help and change their ways for the better, but some do not, and some of them eventually fade away and lose everything because of it.
This is the warning I give to all of you jerk ass popufurs out there who think you're better than the people who made you popular with your god complex and sour attitudes - Unlike actual celebrities, you will not get as many chances and passes as they have. If you keep up the rude behavior, you will eventually lose all of your fans, and your popular status as well, and you will simply fade away and become one of the "nobodies" you are so rude towards. As talented as you may be, at the end of the day, you are just drawing pictures, writing stories/poetry, and making underground, non mainstream music within a specific fandom. You are not making hit movies/tv shows, producing platinum albums, or writing best selling books, thus why I said you will not get as many free passes as celebrities normally do. So I suggest you all pull your heads out of your asses, humble yourselves, be respectful, and value the people who have gave you the popularity you so take for granted, and will miss once it's gone, making you think to yourself "If only I had been a little nicer to my fans." because now they are gone...
TL;DR version:
Rude popular furry artists, your egotistical god complex is getting old, and despite what you think, you are not better than the "nobodies" who made you popular. Knock off the crap, lest you wish to fade away and lose your popularity and fans.
And if you don't care about losing it, then that works out for everyone because eventually, it WILL happen. I've seen it before, sure I will see it again.
Just be nice and respectful... Is that so hard to ask? We are all humans with human feelings, emotions, and value. Treat each other that way, eh? No need to be so rude unless someone does you wrong, and even then, it's best to just expel them from your life.

A strike of inspiration and motivation to do art again! :3
Posted 11 years agoI am going to try getting back into art again. Maybe start out small with simple head shot/profile icons and start writing some poetry. I need to find good free graphic editing/digital coloring software though. Anyone have any suggestions?
Dr. Phil: Animal Obsessed (Furry Episode) - My Thoughts
Posted 11 years agoSo here is the episode... In all of it's ridiculous glory! XD
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k8wMS7uNa8
Despite some of the more absurd segments of the show, I actually didn't find it to be all that bad. The hypocrisy of Dr. Phil is all over the place (Starting the show by stating to not judge, yet he seems to have judged quite a bit, while in other parts, seemed to be not so judgmental), but he gave a pretty accurate definition of what a furry is mid way through the show.
Boomer is a weird dude IMO, he just has an oddball personality and seriously thinks he's part dog, which is taking the furry lifestyle a bit too extreme really. He clearly does not speak for all furries. It does make me wonder what he would be like had his mother not given him a trust fund and he had to actually go out and work for a living. I wonder if he'd be able to function normally at a normal job?
The mother of the fursuitter was just a straight up bitch, although I do agree with Phil about the buckling down and finding a job part. If being a furry interferes with what you need to do to be a responsible adult, it has become a problem and an obsession, however, that is the problem with shows like these. Those who don't exercise common sense or think about the diversity of the fandom will ignorantly assume all furries are lazy, jobless oddballs, which is clearly far from the truth. Every special interest group has weird people and oddballs, that's just life in general, being a person with whatever personality traits that may or may not be magnified through said special interest. Boomer for example, would still be a weird dude whether he was a furry or not, as that is simply his personality.
The rabbit breast feeder, well, no comment on that really. Wanting to breast feed rabbits is kinda odd, but aside from that she's just a rabbit lover. All you can really say about that.
One thing I've noticed though, mainly on Twitter, and probably because of biased anger towards Phil's general attitude towards this whole subject, is that people totally misunderstood what Dr. Phil was saying about jobs. Many people seem to think that Dr. Phil thinks that just because you are a furry, that means you don't want to or can't get a job and work. So many comments I saw on Twitter such as "Me and my mate both have college degrees and have worked in our fields for over 10 years. Is it ok if we are furries Dr. Phil?" Quite the silly comment to make as Philly boy wasn't suggesting Furries are lazy bastards who don't work. I mean yeah, he had guests on his show that didn't work, one of which didn't need to because he had a trust fund he lived off of, which has nothing to do with being a furry, but yeah... Dr. Phil blatantly mentioned in the show while talking to the fursuitter girl that he doesn't care if you wear a tail while working or going to school, just that it needs to be done. He wasn't suggesting all furries are lazy with that statement, if anything, he was implying that he probably thinks lots of furries do work, but that the girl on his show specifically, needed to get her life back on track because she stopped working and going to school and her mom was taking care of her as a well abled adult, and he was right about that.
Also, the whole "Art isn't a job" thing, yeah Dr. Phil did come off like an idiot saying that because for many furries it is a major, or at least, much needed side source of income; but I think that's more or less what he was trying to convey. Most furry artists out there cannot make a full, supporting living off of commission work alone, hence why they do it as a side income type of arrangement in addition to a regular day job. Some furries, and especially fursuit tailors (Not really art per say) can make it a full time living, but it is not typically common.
And lastly, all this "He's not a real Doctor" stuff gets old. He has a PhD, thus he is a Dr. You don't have to be a medical Dr. to be considered a Dr. Anyone with a PhD in any field is considered a Dr. of their field, so he is indeed a Dr., just not a medical one, hence why he doesn't have a show like Dr. Oz and such.
And before anyone jumps on me for "hating" on Boomer and "standing up" for Dr. Phil, I just want to point out that I am not a fan of Dr. Phil. I find his show, and he in general to be quite annoying, but that doesn't mean he didn't make any decent points here and there in between the judgmental ignorance. As far as Boomer goes, I mean him no ill will and I am hardly hating on him. My opinion of him is that he is a weird guy, but clearly as long as he isn't hurting anyone and is happy, then yes, more power to him and it's his life, but that doesn't mean I would like to hang out with the guy if I ever met him or be his friend. Doesn't mean I hate him either. He just seems annoying... LOL I just fond it funny when people are like "STOP JUDGING BOOMER GUYS! AS LONG AS HE'S HAPPY! HE ISN'T HURTING ANYONE!" Well no shit he isn't, but that doesn't mean I have to like the weird dude like he's my best friend either. XD
I'm all for the furry fandom being tolerant and accepting and kind. One of the things I love about this fandom aside from the affinity towards animals/anthropomorphics, but sometimes I think furries get a lil' too nutty with it to the point you can't call someone weird or odd or annoying without them pulling out the INTOLERANT AND JUDGMENTAL trump card... As much as we are part of a fandom full of furs, we are still human, and judging people is human nature. There is a difference between judging someone based on their personality and if you like them or not, and then a completely different ball game when hating someone because of the color of their skin and sexual orientation. I mean isn't that what Martin Luther King Jr. said? "Judge someone not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character!" And well, IMO, Boomer just has some weird ass content lol, but that doesn't mean I hate the guy with a fiery passion and damn him to a life of misery... LOL
AAAAAAAAAnyway, kind of got off track there didn't I? Sorry, I just find that annoying sometimes the way furries (and people in general) are so black and white about things. There are always grey areas, accompanied by common sense and logic.
So aside from my lil rant there, those are my thoughts on the episode. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts!

Official fursona change!
Posted 11 years agoFirst of all, after asking for an avatar request not long ago and searching for a volunteer for the last couple weeks, I would like to give a big thank you to
acdcfreak5745 for doing my new avatar! I love it! :D
Also have a couple of others who may draw me an avatar as well, which I would really appreciate. I'd switch between them all and get a lot of use outta them! :3
So the age of the skunk ends, but the era of the skiger is born! Two of my most favorite wild animals (And the only two past fursonas I've ever had), the skunk and the tiger combine to form a very smelly and scary adversary! Not only will the skiger spray you like a skunk, but unlike a skunk, if you make him really angry, he may just eat ya!...... But the mighty and feared skiger usually just rolls around and purrs all day long, swaying that large bushy tail with pride. ;3

Avatar Request
Posted 11 years agoSearching for a very kind fur who will volunteer to draw me a new avatar please? Just a head shot. Any takers? Por Favor? Anyone?
The reason I ask is because I am changing my fursona, slightly... I got into a conversation with a friend the other night and we started talking about, well, fursonas.
Back before I was a skunk, several years ago, I always saw myself as a white tiger. Through various reasons over the years I chose to be a skunk instead. I am very happy being a skunk, but a part of me, after having that conversation the other night, made me realize just how much I still love tigers more than any other feline, and how they are one of my all time favorite animals. After a bit more talk, I suggested how cool it would be if I were to become a skunk/tiger hybrid and just combine two of my most favorite of animals. I used to not like the idea of mixing two or more species of animals together to make a fursona of mine, but over the years, the concept has grown on me more, so I am in the process of transforming from a skunk to a...
SKIGER! - Which is basically, for me, mainly a skunk, with a skunks body/tail, but with tiger stripes (All black and white), and more tiger shaped ears and muzzle.
If anyone would be willing to just make me a quick avatar, that would be great.
Before anyone suggests commissioning one, I have thought about it, and if I have to, I will sometime in the future. I know they can be pretty cheap, but I do not have a Paypal/similar account and do not plan to get one right now, and sending someone a money order or check for $5-10 just seems like a bit much of effort for the small amount. lol
SO I thought i'd try my hand at getting someone to do this simple request for free out of the kindness of their hearts. I would dearly appreciate it and plug your work all I can! :3
Thank you in advance! If you are interested you can send me a note and we can go from there!

What I am thankful for most in the fandom...
Posted 12 years agoIf you had asked me that a few years ago, I probably would have said the art. Now a days however, the art comes in second. I would definitely say the wonderful friends I have made in the last few years are what I am most thankful for. The warmth, the support, the silly and sometimes serious conversations have surrounded me in a warm fuzzy feeling like that of a big bushy tail wrapped around me. It's funny... I have been a furry for over 15 years, but only semi recently have I actually started accumulating furry friends within the fandom, thanks largely in part, to Twitter and it's immense furry community.
I won't sit here and say that ALL furries I have met along the way make me feel that way. I know it's quite popular to state that the furry fandom is all warm, friendly, awesome furs. While that is true for many of them, I would be lying if I said some didn't turn me off, annoy me, or just plain make me not like them. Especially furries who talk about nothing but sexual deviance and constant depressing/bummer sentiments. Furries like that who try to befriend me won't last long in my circle. I don't try to be judgmental, because I love furry porn/sexual talk, and can be depressing EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, but I am who I am, and if something annoys me, it is what it is. However, the "keepers" that I talk to, are wonderful and great furry friends who I would not trade for anything in this, or any other world.
Guys like
wolf-of-avalon,
suppiewolf, DarkLombax101,
NidoNyteHusky, and so on are all great people. Furries that I can have actual conversations with that contain substance and depth other than "LOL, That's hot!" and "Wanna yiff?" and crap all the time. They are genuine and real furs who can carry on an intelligent conversation and friendship without feeling like one hit wonders of the fandom we live and breath.
Sure, there has been some drama, heart break, falling out with some ex friends/acquaintances, etc. but that's life in any aspect I suppose. I won't let the bad eggs interfere with the goodies, obviously.
I just wanted to take a few minutes to express these feelings about what matters to me in the fandom the most, and say thank you to all of you in my circle, from very good friends to decent acquaintances, you are all very special and you make the fandom and all of it's other aspects all the more enjoyable. Gracias! :3

Guys like

Sure, there has been some drama, heart break, falling out with some ex friends/acquaintances, etc. but that's life in any aspect I suppose. I won't let the bad eggs interfere with the goodies, obviously.
I just wanted to take a few minutes to express these feelings about what matters to me in the fandom the most, and say thank you to all of you in my circle, from very good friends to decent acquaintances, you are all very special and you make the fandom and all of it's other aspects all the more enjoyable. Gracias! :3
Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!
Posted 12 years ago2012 hasn't been bad per say.... But I have had more downs than ups, let's just say that!
Pros:
I met some wonderful furries...
My Furry interview account/group Furry N' Fuzzy is going very well!
New jobs, new friends, new experiences!
Cons:
Lost some jobs
Lost my father to cancer
Lost some friends
Missed out on meeting certain people
Most depressing year of my life
So yeah, I am hoping 2013 will bring me more good and less bad...
And before anyone says it, yes, yes.... First World Problems, I know... :P
Happy New Year everyfur! Hope 2013 is good fur you all!

Dragon Ball Z 2013 Movie Trailer #3 (Actual movie footage!!)
Posted 13 years agoThe more I see about this movie, the more stoked I get! Can't wait!
I think it's funny how people complain about the Egyptian Anubis-ish looking god looking ridiculous. I mean yeah, he doesn't look nearly as fearsome as Freeza or Cell, but I think he looks cool enough.
Basic plot run-down:
The god of destruction learns of who defeated Freeza, and wishes to challenge him, himself. King Kai warns Goku not to fight him, but his excitement of having a new opponent over takes him.
Yeah, the plot sounds kinda watered down, but then again, DB doesn't need a complex, super serious, and logical plot to be entertaining.
To be honest, I am just ecstatic to see a furry as a powerful villain. :D
Childhood Furry Nostalgia
Posted 13 years agoIs it just me or were the 90's the prime decade for furry related toons? I'm sure many generations have had it, I mean Looney Tunes and Disney alone date way back before my time. However, as a child/young teen growing up in the 90's, it seems like they were all over the place compared to pre 90's and post 90's up to current day. Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Chip N' Dales Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Talespin, TMNT, Road Rovers, Swat Kats, various Looney Tunes spin offs like Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, Tom and Jerry, etc... etc... The list goes on and on. I understand that some of those shows actually started in the late 80's, but they ran mostly through the 90's, so I consider them 90's toons, and they are all furry themed.
About a month or so ago I decided to start looking up some of these old toons on Youtube and I found a few episodes of Ducktales, Rescue rangers, Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs, so on, and I watched a couple episodes. It was really awesome and nostalgic for me to watch them again after so many years. A couple weeks ago though, I watched an episode of Tiny Toon Adventures and I found myself actually tearing up and crying a little from the memories and just extreme fondness for these characters.
It made me realize that in my heart, I was a furry way before I even conceptualized the meaning in my mind and found the fandom. I mean sure, I understand, childhood nostalgia in general can be touching at times, and I have had similar reactions to non furry related things, but not like that, it was a deeper, clearer connection. Deep in my heart I do feel like me growing up in that generation of just so many furry related cartoons had something to do with it... After all, who was my very first furry crush? Chance Furlong AKA T-Bone from Swat Kats! It was through my obsessions for him that i even found that fandom as well, so yeah, I see a deep connection to me growing up in that time period and becoming a furry, and a proud one, for over 15 years now...
It was just surprising and shocking to myself that I got so emotional over an episode, especially the intro, to Tiny Toon Adventures. It made me think of my furry origins, how I was somewhat programmed at a young age through the cartoons that I watched, to be drawn to it as I grew older. Who's to say i would even be a furry if it weren't for them? I may be, but perhaps not. I would say much less likely considering art of one of the toons themselves introduced me to the fandom.
It felt good....... I smiled a lot afterwards. :3
