I gotta do 9 before the end of the month, so I'll probably be out for a while longer.

Haven't had much time to actually draw the comic over the past month, thanks to both work and a family visitor. That and I was kinda struggling with this one panel for ages. With all that 'free time,' I went over a few things and ultimately ended up doing a massive course correction mid chapter.

Instead of introducing a new character, I'm gonna just focus on making this a quick solo episode for Tess. So yes, we getting some sex stuff finally. I think narratively, it makes more sense, rather than just immediately dropping her into a big fight scene. That'll happen next chapter. Also, I cut the amount of pages down from a ludicrous 26-ish to a much more manageable 12. Lastly, I started going over a series of tutorial videos in an effort to get gud, and it's already been helping. Just my sketches alone are vastly improved.

In fact, things have changed so much that I'm actually considering redoing the title page to be more accurate/just a better picture. Only reason I haven't yet is because whenever I re-upload a file, it loses that 'auto shrink' that the site does. I actually had this issue with, like, page 2 I think, and attempted to fix it by matching the site's preset resolution...it didn't exactly work and now that page is all fuzzy. Only reason this is an issue is because the site pretty much sizes images perfectly for scrolling, so it's just up and down, without and horizontal panning.

It's getting there, I suppose. One raunchy picture at a time.

I've been swamped by a cavalcade of life drama. Nothing serious, mind, but still important in some regards. Firstly, the SFW content I've been working on has ramped up. I've got to get a series of valentines day pictures ready, which are thankfully already almost done. After that though, I have to chip away at a series of pictures for a kickstarter project. That's due in August, but I don't want to sleep on it. The sketches are done, I just have to get the line art drawn up.

Lastly is probably the most taxing one; my day job has been absorbing all of my time via what can only be described as a comedy of errors. First, on Dec, 31st, my boss just straight up quit and walked out. I later would learn that this was due to him cooking the books for an upcoming inventory, so he pulled a "You can't fire me, I quit!" sort of deal. Second, one of my coworkers had intended to put in his 2 weeks on the 1st, but had to hold off on that until halfway through the month. This left the department with just me and this other girl who, let's be frank here, is a complete idiot. I'm talking, she didn't know you were supposed to wash fruit and vegetables first before you cut them levels of stupid...and she's also completely lazy and incompetent. Third, the store began a systematic remodeling process that's still ongoing, so a lot of things are in a state of semi chaos at the moment. Fourth, since both my manager and coworker left, I've been strapped with basically doing everything. 6-7 day work weeks, 8 hour shifts. That kind of thing. Last, we got a new manager, but after a bout a week, he leaves to take time off, due to having a baby...which I wasn't warned about prior.

It's been a real shit show, however, the silver lining is that, ironically, the job itself is not that hard. I can get everything done in a collective 3-4 hours. This means I have an over abundance of downtime...which I spend drawing. I've actually been sketching out the rough drafts of the comic I started and have since had to put on hold due to all this other stuff that started up. Unfortunately, I've reached the point (page 10) where all the kinky stuff starts and, thanks to the shitty redesign of our break room, can't really focus on drawing since all the tables are now out in the open in a much smaller room. Sorry, but I really don't want to be that guy at the job who sits in the break room drawing niche furry porn, so the rest of it will have to be done at home...unless I can get away with it.

Anyway, all that bullshit aside, that last item on the itinerary is an idea I just had today for a redesign of my character, Bessie the emboar. I've already redone a bunch of characters within the comic's story, but she's a little different. She's one of the main 3 characters and one I've grown quite accustomed to. However, there are a few reasons as to why I would change her. I'll get more into it tomorrow. I've got one last day of work before I finally get a day off, so I'll spend it sketching out some pictures and poses of what I want her to look like. Needless to say, it'll be more than just a slight change, I'm talking a complete character revamp.

I should be able to get that done and post it tomorrow with more extensive details about the why and how and also to get some feedback.

Got my own place and everything's set up. I can finally get back to it.

The house I was going to move into didn't quite work out in the end, so I'm trying to find a new place while staying at a friend's place. I'm pretty settled in, otherwise.

Packing up and moving tomorrow. I'll remove this once everything is set up over there.

EDIT: Moved in, just need to set up PC. Living with a family friend at the moment, so I'll be moving again, once we get our own house set up.

Had one of my coworkers up and vanish, leaving us screwed and short handed since thanksgiving. Now I got one guy going on vacation, meaning there's basically three people running our department for th he next week.

I'm too burned out to focus on any specific project and haven't been able to get back into my art schedule, so I'm just gonna try and relax for a bit and get my stamina and motivation back. I'll try and be back in force on the 1st and see about finally getting all these projects I have floating around finally completed.

I hate sitting around like this, but this time of year always makes me angry and depressed anyway, so there's no point in forcing it. See y'all in in a few days.

So I was gonna take some time off to learn a bit about video editing and make some youtube rants about pokemon before the new games came out. However, I had to take two weeks off to take a cross country road trip in order to help out family. That ate up too much time and, to be honest, I hadn't grown comfortable with the stuff I had recorded anyway. So I'm gonna put that on the back burner and start smaller, with a game I know I can tear to shreds that won't make me seem like I'm jumping on a band wagon. The pokemon stuff will come eventually, but I want to build up to that and establish a personality first.

With that out of the way, I'm back for the foreseeable future, open to commissions and select requests.
