im sorry i died (again) its been a long year for me!
i moved out of my mom's place for school, so between that and work i've had little time to do almost anything. combine that with a rly bad depression relapse that basically killed half of 2018 for me i've had very little motivation to draw (or do anything that i used to like haha,,)
but,,,im starting to slowly climb my way out of it and ive been trying to draw a bit more and get in touch with people again! i ended up deleting most of my really old crappy art to make way for some stuff im more confident in, and im trying to do a general overhaul of my art presence in general
so yea!!!! im gonna try not to die

so im in another art slump which is!! just how it is on this bitch of an earth but im gonna try to power thru it,,, schools been wearin me out so thats not helping either but i will Try
also tekko!! it was,,,,a time,,,,its cursed aura still sticks with me
the big thing i wanted to announce was that unfortunately i wont be able to make it to anthrocon this year ;a;
theres a few reasons why, namely because my grandmother booked a vacation house that same weekend and i dont wanna let her down. also im honestly a little burned out from selling stuff at cons and i kinda want to take a year where i just go to cons to chill out (and party a bit oops)
theres a very very slim chance i might make it down for a day, but i wont be making anything to sell. however!! if i know for a fact i might attend for a bit, i miiight open up a few small preorders for stuff if anyones cool with picking them up! ill make an update when i know for sure

i recently quit my job bc i couldn't put up with their abuse anymore (long story, but human resources is gonna be getting involved), and while i still have some cash to my name, i want get at least some kind of income for this month to help with xmas gifts and other fun stuff
so within the next few days im gonna try to draw some more to show u guys more examples!!! im definitely gonna polish my pixel icons a little more, and im gonna try to do stuff with paint markers again

AC Summary
Posted 8 years agoTbh, I was kinda disappointed in ac this year. Staff generally seemed like they had no idea what they were doing, especially with registration. I've heard that some of them were rather rude as well, but I can say that the ones I met still seemed like decent people (especially the one lady that got a kick out of my name she was cool lol)
There was a huge commotion over the registers at artist alley on Friday that basically killed my sales for that day, so I'm still salty over that tbh. The con also seems like its been becoming more stagnate, especially comparing it to cons like mff and blfc. Honestly if I ever move out of the Pittsburgh area, I'll probably stop going.
All that being said, I still met some great people that made it all worth it.
kittmouri was absolutely wonderful to room with, and the people I met at the AA were as great as always 'v'

Posted 8 years agoSorry for going quiet again, my laptop is currently not working, so I've pretty much just using my tablet at the moment
Im not quite sure when I'll be able to get it fixed/able to get a new one, so I'm unable to do any sort of digital art, including pixel icons. Hopefully I'll be able to return to doing them soon!!
In the meantime, I'm currently trying to get back into the swing of doing traditional art, so once im comfortable with working with my markers, I'll be open for some con badges! I'd like to do some commissions of them in time for AC

along with soap im thinking about selling some embroidered patches and possibly pins this year bc theyre super popular and look like theyd be a blast to design!! i have a few designs in mind already, but i was wondering if anyone knew a good site to get them made from
also a bit of a life update!! im planning on moving into the city of pittsburgh sometime between febuary and march. my current apartment is cute and all, but the bad water and dust from the coal furnace isnt good for my health, and its FAR too isolated for me. im a bit nervous, but finally excited to be somewhere where i can actually meet people!

IT WAS GOOD. REALLY GOOD like it was possibly the best convention that ive ever been to period?? no major drama happened (aside from having to leave the artist alley a bit early), and it overall went extremely smoothly. it was a bit weird at first not going with my normal crew, but i met enough cool people to help make up for it B))
the soaps went over REALLY well with most of the attendees, and now i have an even better idea of what to sell at mff this year. i still have A LOT still left over too, so keep posted for when my storenvy is actually open, and of course anyone is welcome to send me an emaill over at capsulecosmetics[at]gmail.com if they want to make an order through that as well
