The Iron Pen and Iron Artist Secret Ingredient!
Posted 9 years agoNow, for the moment you have all been waiting for; Furry Migration 2016's SECRET INGREDIENT for Iron Pen and Iron Artist.
The secret ingredient is ... "My Secret Origin"!
This secret ingredient MUST be featured in a prominent way in your story or art.
Submissions must also follow these rules:
-Be no longer than 1,000 words for Iron Pen text (story or poetry) or larger than the equivalent of one 8-1/2 inch by 11 inch page for an Iron Artist image.
-Include either the concept of “Migration” or a “native Minnesota species” of anthro.

The deadline is September 9th at 7PM!

Keep your eyes on our social media channels and our website for the ingredients. You will have till Friday night of the convention to complete your works and submit them.
Winners will be announced at closing ceremonies, and will receive a SPONSOR level membership to Furry Migration 2017!

We are looking for extras for our 3rd and final promo video. If you are free on Saturday, July 30th from 9am to noon and would like to participate in either in-suit or out-of-suit roles, let us know at the link below!
The video shoot will be at the Hyatt in downtown Minneapolis (the con hotel). We are looking for people to be lobby goers of the hotel who react when they see people in fursuit. Specifically, we are looking for people to try to hug and take photos of suiters as they are trying to make it across the lobby to the elevators. And also for suiters and non-suiters to fill the “con space”.
–A couple of details. —
Please show up no later than 9:30am. We are on a strict time schedule and it would be really helpful to have everyone on time.
Everyone is going to have to find their own parking. The ramp next to the Hyatt is open even though there is construction going on. Carpooling is encouraged!

TWO Guest of Honor Announcements!
Posted 9 years agoWe have TWO guest of honor announcements for you all, Ifus Moraine and Sunny Dingo! (This is in addition to our first guest Ursula Vernon!)
Ifus Moraine has been a member of the furry fandom since 2004 and actively going to conventions since 2007. Her job ventures have so far been involved with freelancing in the fandom and doing contract work on product packaging and video games. While she focuses on commercial artwork for her business, she likes story-driven, heartfelt and surreal artwork genres for personal works. Come learn from a pro!
Sunny Dingo is a brightly-coloured doggo with a contagious smile, jaunty eyebrow and a warm demeanor. So, who is Sunny? He is a friend, encouraging us all to celebrate the magic of imagination with him, to embrace our dreams and believe in ourselves. Or as Sunny might say, “Stay positive and keep on the Sunny side of life!”

If you've been itching to book accommodations for Furry Migration but need a little more room to roam, you're in luck: Deluxe King Rooms (Junior Suites) are now available!
These are a new addition for 2016, and feature many of the same amenities as the Executive Suites (only available for room parties – more details on those soon).
If you want to get your paws on one of these new rooms, you’ll need to act fast; they won’t last long!
