Posted 10 years agoWelcome to FursuitReview! This group reviews fursuits, fursuit parts, kigus, and other furry fashion items! You can read more about this group here.
To submit a review, look over the rules and view the review forms.
To look at reviews, check out our website at http://fursuitreview.com - On the top of the page are dropdown menus so you can view several different sorting options.
To view a list of makers that have reviews on FursuitReview, go to makers.fursuitreview.com.
There is a dark blue sidebar on the right side of the page (you might need to click an arrow to expand it on smaller screens). This sidebar displays some information, the newest reviews listed, and some informational articles.
Want to make your opinion heard privately, or right this instant? Contact us through our form or note Jyden! Only do one, not both, please.
In addition to these reasons, it also helps FursuitReview and the fursuiting community at large to keep an archive of all experiences, no matter how old. Makers may change the way they do business now and the way they make their suits, but think about the people who are buying fursuits second-hand or the people interested in how a particular maker has changed practices over time.
There are many, many reasons for having historical reviews, but if the reason you're not writing a review is because "My fursuit's really old" then WRITE A REVIEW ANYWAY! Just include how well your fursuit has lasted and how communication with the maker went after the purchase!

Posted 10 years agoA fursuit review, at least for this specific review account, is your opinion on how good or bad both the item you own or have owned in the past is, as well as your opinion of the maker of that item and their business sense.
Let us say you commissioned Fursuit Maker X for an entirely custom full fursuit.
You can leave a review about that specific fullsuit and the sum of its parts, how good or bad they are, and how much you like or dislike it.
You will also review the entire process of commissioning X and your opinion of how well X communicated and made your fullsuit!
Did you have a great experience? Tell others so X can get more business!
Was your fullsuit and/or experience awful? Leave a review to warn other people about X!
Was your fursuit just 'ok'? Did nothing really stick out about X? Still leave a review! "Average" makers and suits help set the bar for awful and exceptional ones. There are also people who surf reviews for fursuits at specific price points. A just 'ok' suit at a specific price may be just what someone else is looking for!
Don't think "should I leave a review?" DO! ALWAYS leave a review!
Writing a review helps you:
- Share your opinions about your suit and/or suit's maker
- Get publicity (if you put your fursuit in your gallery and/or go on outings with it)
- Get help with problems you may have
- Sort out your feelings about your suit in a way you may not have thought about before
Writing a review helps the suit makers:
- Positive reviews get more publicity for the makers, which can lead to more customers and money for them
- Critical reviews help makers improve on things they may not have realized were problems before
- Negative reviews can push bad makers to leave the business or step up their game and become good makers
- Any review can inspire a maker to try new things based on what other makers are doing and how well those things are received in others' reviews
Writing a review helps everyone looking to buy a fursuit:
- Reviews publicize makers people may not have known existed before
- Reviews publicize styles of suits people may not have known existed before
- Reviews help people realize what to expect with suits: the commissioning process, how long it takes, the price, etc.
- Reviews help people understand what makes a good suit and what doesn't
- Reviews help potential customers find a maker to make their future suit!
This account accepts reviews for anything you bought directly from the maker (doesn't need to be custom/commissioned!)

- A single fursuit part (such as a head, tail, ears, etc.)
