This is a preliminary inquiry regarding interest in the convention.

The working date for the convention is the 15 to 17. november. To be able to even remotely evaluate the size of the convention, we need to perform a little "headcount".

We need to know from as many as possible, who might be able to come. Please write a PM to me here, a PM to me on Norwegianpaws.org, leave a message in this thread, on our FA account (furthernorth).. or if you got me on any instant messenger, please leave a note.

Please keep in mind, this year we are working for better accommodation and hence there will be a slight increase in price.

Please write in your message:
- Price limit
- If a bedspace is required
- If the date is okey
- How important location and travel is to you
- other criteria you see as a deciding factor of your attendance.

- Also, if you are interested in attending as crew (if so, what you would like to do)

Also please spread the message around to who ever you might think is interested. As I said, we need all the feedback we can possibly get, aspecialy now in the phase of deciding on location.

Today we aired the (very work in progress) website for this years Further North convention.

For you who dont know what Further North is, it is a furry convention hosted in Norway. Last year we had 52 total attendees and we aim real hard to exceed that this year. We are currently working hard on finding a location, ironing out the website, forum and a whole host of other details, but if you go by

you can follow our progress step by step there. Register an user in the forums and take part in the planning and making of this years convention!

The end of 2012 is nigh and the world has still not ended, so we feel it is now pretty safe to wish people a great 2013. We hope it will bring you lots of great experiences and happy times, and we do of course hope that Further North 2013 will be part of those. Preparations are already in motion for the next con, and we hope to see you there.

Now that the first FN is over, I hope you can look back at these three days with joy, and remember good laughs, good friends and good food. It makes us in the crew really happy to hear how satisfied people are, and how great they think the con was. We are very proud of what we achieved and the feedback we have gotten shows that we are rightfully so.
This is also a lot thanks to all you who attended the con. You brought along a great mood and your best behavior and made this an awesome experience also for us in the crew. We have been planning for months now, and to finally see it all come together was magical. We are already making plans for next year, and we shall return bigger and better with more experience and more time to plan. Further North is here to stay, and we hope to see you again and again and again.

Day 3, the last day of Further North. Most people were tired and sleepy after the party, but despite exhaustion the third day also turned out awesome. The board games, TV games, comics and drawing table was still popular and people seemed to be having a good time.
When it was time to start cleaning and tidying we got a lot of help from our awesome attendants who willingly helped out us in the crew with anything without complaining.
At the end of the day, when we were only a few crew members left at the location I'm sure the building was a lot cleaner than the owners expects it to be.

As I forgot my camera today I'm afraid I don't have any pictures to post from today, but I'll try to get my paws on some pictures to share with you.

The second day of Further North is over and most attendants and crew are now gathering strength for the final day.
The day began a bit slow, with most attendants sleeping over breakfast and not showing until the start of the program. The tv games were started up, the board games were set and the comics were where they should be so people could socialize and have fun. A lot of people were also drawn to  daxcyro 's panel on fursuiting and  tfbaxxter 's Lion King panel.
The weather was rainy and windy, so the planned furwalk had to be cancelled, but that didn't tamper the mood. Nobody really wanted to go out anyway. Instead people enjoyed what else the con had to offer while waiting for the fursuit game show, hosted by  skarpen and  daxcyro

Shortly after the game show we were getting pizza delivered, and of course, all the suiters were out to greet the delivery man.

After dinner it was time to get into the dance mood when our DJ  aikho fired up his mixing table and light effects to supply the Further North dance night.

The party went on out into the night until people began falling asleep and set fort to the sleeping quarters to rest up for day 3, the final day of Further North 2012.

The first day of the con is over, and with a somewhat late dinner being the biggest incident we consider it a success. There is still a lot happening at the con and people seem to be enjoying themselves. This day has been mostly about getting settled and socializing with games, dancing and taco. The second day will offer more events such as a poi workshop, a Lion King panel and a furwalk around Siggerud, host town of the first ever Further North.

The opening ceremony is now less than 10 hours away and we're all very excited about welcoming you all to the first ever Further North. We are starting the final preparations soon we will be working hard to ensure that everything is set and ready at 18:00.

The con is getting closer and if you want to attend we recommend that you register soon. If you are still undecided we can among other events offer you a furwalk, a Lion King panel, a fursuit gameshow that you can sign up for at http://www.norwegianpaws.org/forum/.....p?topic=2930.0 , a great party with DJ Aikho taking charge of the music and a lot of pawesome people. Not to mention that you will forever be able to say "I attended Further North 1, I was there when it all began"

The fee is 500 NOK. This includes food, accommodations and attendance at all the events. The focus this year has been to give as much as possible value for your money so we have worked hard to keep the convention cheap, yet crammed with entertainment.

Hey there peeps.

So.. I am setting up a convention.. and with me I got a load of very competent and eager people. The date is 16. to 18. november and it is held in a kind of club house just outside Oslo. So far we got the locale, sleepingspaces, food, most of the program AND the fursuitwalk route set (mostly). Still working on website, mascot and a few other things. This is only a temporary setup on FA as I intend to fill in WAY much more info and art as time passes.
