Well.. this was a series that, though didnt introduce me to anime, damned well got me hooked on it as I was growing up. Aside from this one, it was also the original Slayers as well.

So.. its been years since I watched a DBZ episode... well... at GenCon they had a marathon.. and sad to say... they got me hooked again. So.. today, I traded in a buncha games I havnt touched in years, scrunched up the 30 bucks needed and picked up Season 1 at Wal-Mart.... woo.

So.. all day today I'll be watching the original Japanese Subs of the series.... my friend who owns Season 2, is selling me that one for 20 buckos....

So thats one and two. Three has yet to come out.... but, eh.. I'll get it when I can... Namak saga kinda... long. :P

If not.. I'll stick with GameStop.. I'm impressing at least ONE of the managers I'm working with.. at least, the one store thats a 45 minute drive, in a semi-dangerous part of town and.... yeah. >.>;

I'm typing a quick update from my hotel room.

GenCon's been great so far, though.. I hate to say it, gotta leave early tomorrow cause of the stupid hotel room >_< Ahh well.

I survived true dungeon. I gots second place in Magic the Gathering 2-headed giant with my brother.

And I picked up two doujins.... mmm.. :3

Anyways, I'm heading to "Authentic Hentai Dubbing" tonight for some laughs, then pretty much sleeping in the car tomorrow.

Well in a day or so I'll be heading north and hitting one of the biggest Gaming Conventions in the Americas. GenCon.

So... It's gonna be great catching up on all the art on here when I get back.. anyways..

Its nice having a buncha friends online, but having not many friends socially IRL is worse...

I'v had a craving to go out and do SOMETHING. Hell ANYTHING, but the few friends I do have are still addicted to WoW (I'v finally pulled away from it due to lack o money... and high speed.) so I really cant do much gaming on that end.

So I'v kinda had to rely on my little brothers friends who are into DOTA. Meaning when they feel like it... also meaning I'm not usually invited either. I feel bad on having to follow my brother around to do stuff but when 2 out of the 4 friends you do have DIE about 4 years ago (This coming GenCon is 4 years...) and two others live out of state due to military. You really cant do much.

So I either need to leave this state and get some new friends or get high speed.. either way.. I'll be happier. -.-

I'm being forced to do a 'family' camping trip... in the middle of August, in 90+ degree weather and humidity and with a above average body temperature of 99.7 degree's Fahrenheit.

Whats that mean to me?

Very little sleep and sweating pools of fluids in seconds >_<

I wouldnt mind it so much if I didnt sweat so frikin much.

Well... after happily getting the GameStop job.. I have decided, despite wanting this Job for years and years.. the pay and hours are SO not worth it.

The only way to get any hours is to be a Assistant Manager or Manager... I'm one of the eight people they picked to be 'full' part-time... and I still havnt worked in nearly 2 weeks because all they have is 80 hours to give out. The manager isnt part of those 80 so. Thats 40 for the A. Manager, 25ish for the Third Key (Next Highest up.) so that leaves.. 15 hours or so for the 5 other people....

Great.

I'm gonna be checking the Casino, C easer's out soon. Their starting pay is 8.50 to 10 dollars a hour...

I'm mainly considering going back to a job I dont want cause I have too many things I need money for at the moment. My computer is slowly but surely falling out of the loop. (I can barely run my newest game - Overlord, even on lowest settings.) I need to take over car payments soon, and I'v been wanting to attend more cons as well as go back to school and take web design.

So... lots of stuff.

All this build up for such a disappointment..

I read the entire book last night after getting home, and all I'm gonna say is I was very disappointed. I'll give it a few days then I'll probably talk more spoiler stuff, but.. as for now. Its just.. bleh. :P

Ah well, least the series itself was a incredible read. Though I will say fully, this doesn't do the series justice.

I guessed everything that would happen in the book years before it came out... so.. bleh.

Dial-up is teh suck.

Aside from that.. I like the new job, I just gotta do well enough and weed out all the bad people before I get more hours.... so.. yay.

I'm also still able to goto GenCon this year.. so if any ya fuzzies are going.. give me a buzz and we can hang out or something. :P

Since I got the GameStop job, I'm gonna end up moving back to the parents to save gas and rent money.

Both of those are good things... I need to do that so I can either:

1 - Go back to school with said money and get a degree in Web Design.

2 - Move out of the state of Indiana and actually find a job in Print. :P


Either way will work and dial-up is worth it... despite the fact I wont be able to play ANY games online. :P

Eh... console games and RP will satisfy me... fer now :P

Saw the Midnight showing... wasnt too bad, and I havnt had much time to actually go see a movie in the new theater in town so it was pretty fun.. what happened AFTER however....

It was 3 am when I got home, heard running water from somewhere... and my roommate/landlord was still fast asleep. Now... when I got to the top of the steps.. I learned where said water is coming from:

THE CEILING OF THE BASEMENT OF WHICH I SLEEP AND COMPUTERATE!!!!! >_<

My roommate woke up to the sounds of me screaming obscenities as I trudge through ankle deep water to get to my electronics, clothing and sleeping materials.

High Note: My computer, half my clothing, and favorite snack food (Peanut Butter and Nilla Wafers.) made it out unscathed with just a little water reaching it.

Low Note: My 360, PS2, and other half of my clothing... sitting in a puddle of water cause where the water was spraying from in the ceiling was over the couch where my freshly cleaned clothing was and RIGHT on top of the 360 and PS2...

Lucky for me.. if the 360 doesnt work anymore.. Microsoft has that 3 year extended fixer-upper going into effect. The PS2 on the other hand.. well... we'll see.

So right now - We have no water and probably no for awhile. Plumber will be showing up soon and I'm gonna drive 30 minutes out of my way so I can shower at my parents house this evening and she offered to clean all my soaked stuff.

After 5 and a half years of chasing down a possible position at GameStop/EB Games.. I can finally quit my Fast Food job and go into a Retail position at a brand new GameStop in my parents hometown.

Why it took 5 and a half years? Cause I probably wasnt as mature as I was the last 4 of them... HA. :P

In anycase... I think its a fair trade. I'm losing high speed internet to move back home with the parents once more, to have a job that 'probably' pays less, but gives me more hours. As well as not having to pay rent. (Yahoo.)

I'm glad to say. I'm feeling rather good for the first time in awhile.

Bleh - first there's no good jobs for graphic design in this state. Thats one problem. The next is cause the weather likes to dip south or north of the state, therefore missing it.

We've only gotten one major storm in the last 3-4 months... therefore we are in a drought.

Why is this a problem?

Indiana has a Burn Ban going on right now... means.. pretty much, no fireworks, or burning of piles of wood for a bonfire.

Yeah... our 4th this year is gonna suck.. >_<
