Just like I probably won't ever pimp an artist out again, I probably won't do this again... Yeah, it's a rant journal. Drama ahead, furry friends! Woo

Basically, life sucks right now. I thought it was getting better, I had a few minor (or so I thought) issues, but such is life, right? Well, some retard basically promised me a letter essential in a process I'm in, and now he said that it's impossible to do such a letter. I'm clinically depressed, and this crap isn't helping that, let Aline my family who can't seem to understand why I'm depressed. My registration for university is going through some bumps, and money is getting short (economy, everyone's short on money, I know).

Why is our society like this? I'm really fairly 'be self-sufficient' and all that, but if all this crap falls through, I can't possible be independent and a good citizen in our society. How can one stand on his own two feet if there's apparently a pebble to balance on, and a void underneath??!!??

So, I'm seriously considering getting a Bamboo for a few purposes, especially to practice drawing. I'm pretty settled on it, but still had one little issue...

Does anyone out there know, can you use the Bamboo without it being attached to the USB of a computer? ie, does it need an external power source? Even further, if you have a USB power source, but NOT a computer, would the Bamboo do its thing? Or are the drawings reliant on the Photoshop that you download/install into your computer, and the tablet is JUST the interface?

Actually, simpler question... Does a tablet like the bamboo effectively replace a drawing pad, or is it reliant on a computer in some way, shape and form? I mean, I can take a pad to a museum and sketch for hours, theoretically. Can I do that by taking just the Bamboo? Does it have an AC adapter, by chance?
