Posted 10 years agoI'm doing well :33 but there's a tropical storm heading my way vAv it's supposed to be here around Saturday and it's already a level 3...lot's of rain and possibly some flooding. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in case I end up powerless and unable to get back on line for a while...we're already starting to see rain from it.
I think I'm going to suspend taking in commissions until after it blows through...since I don't know if I'll have power to work on them with...and if I do, that's great because I can work on the three I have X33 I'm sure they'll keep me plenty busy.
At least I'm attached to "city water" now so I can still use water even if the power goes out :33 Back home we had a well and an electric pump so no electric meant no water ;^;
Arthritis is no fun with storms about :/

Posted 10 years agoSo, I'm doing well!! My queue is steadily shrinking...yet being added to also, which is awesome!!
I managed to get three commissions done today, but now I'm going to settle in for relaxing...maybe Nuzlocking for a bit...I'm very excited to be tackling that in my free time and can't wait to do more art related to it :33
Although for the moment, I think sleep is in my future X33
I'm taking tomorrow off, but will be back to work Sunday and I have quite the list:

Posted 10 years agoSo, I'm not going to go crazy this year, just trying to pick ideas I can make fairly simply at low cost from things I already own...the ideas I currently have are:
Nepeta Leijon (Homestuck)
...I look a lot like most people seem to imagine her to...all I'd really need for it is a tail, hat and coat...and paint & horns (if I don't do a human!stuck version)
Karkat Vantas (Homestuck) or
Mituna Captor (Homestuck) (genderbent)
this one, like Nepeta would be super easy for me due to my short/fluffy hair, I'd really just need a sweater, paint & horns lol but I'd have to bind to do a proper gender version...it's possible but uncomfortable X33 (this would probably be the cheapest way for me to go with a costume I haven't already used before)
CatWoman (Batman)
I'd need a hat/helmet and long-sleeve black shirt for this, but I think I can make due with other things I have...my hair's starting to get too long for it tho
Professor Trelawny (Harry Potter)
A skirt and I'd actually be able to pull this off lol I have some wefts I could add to a headband to create the crazy hair
Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)
I've got a wig that would work for this and I've probably got enough quirky clothes :33

On a personal note (since I kinda ran out of time to explain properly yesterday) I'm not going to be around much over this weekend. Probably only in the evenings. Because tomorrow's my birthday and I have three separate family's to celebrate with (also 2 other people's lol) so I'm going to one a day this weekend UwU
As my present, Rhy gave me a little cash to get some new clothes with, since I've been steadily losing weight over the past year and most of my clothing was not fitting at all.
When I left work last September, I weighed 165lbs (73kg), now I weigh around 130-5 (60kg)!!
I found cute things :33 I'll probably post some pics over on tumbles/twitter as I start wearing them. I am the Nerd Overlord...I found TMNT/Marvel/Lion King shirts UvU and more Batman underwear...bc you can never have too many of those X33 also plaid tights omfg I'm so excited to wear those...I love plaid X33
Also, me and Rhy are doing the marriage thing next month = much excite :3
Health wise, I'm doing pretty good aside from some allergies I got into when helping a friend move last Sunday...it's still kicking my butt X33

Art wise, I'm going to be trying to incorporate a bit of fanart into my warmup doodles, not unlike the Bulbasaur from yesterday...Pokemon are fun to draw :33
Five Nights at Freddy's, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, The World Ends With You, How to Train Your Dragon, Alice in Wonderland, and Fire Emblem: Awakening are some of the other fandoms I'm super into that you'll probably see creeping up as well X33
I've got two commissions lined up for this coming week:
~ a "Little" for wolfsc (fa)
~ a ref sheet for Koyo (sf) (I'll be starting this Monday)
COMMISSION STATUS: OPEN
In particular, I would like to push my "Littles" because they are incredibly fun to do X33 and I'm able to do them within a few hours, so they don't have any backup and you can get them pretty soon after commissioning, which is always nice
I'm nearly always 'open' for commissions, as this is my full time job and only income, so anytime anyone's interested in anything, all you have to do is drop me a note/pm/comment/email explaining what you're looking for

Posted 10 years ago...I made a Patreon account...and before you close out the journal or get exasperated because you're going to have to pay for content you've been getting for free, please know that's not the case :33 I understand that bills are a thing and I'm not going to put up a "Pay Wall" for people to have to spend money to see my work. I will still be posting my stuff on my usual sites (deviantArt/furaffinity/furrific/sofurry/weasyl).
That being said, I do have my own expenses and this could (potentially) be a really great way to supplement my commission income and free up time for me to do more detailed general work (not to mention work on that comic I've been dying to do). In other words, supporting me on Patreon will not give you any kind of "exclusive art/content", however it will help me have enough time to produce better quality art for everyone :33

Just wanted to say hey and let everyone know I'm doing well :33
I took a few days to try and clear out my office (and head) and I'm doing MUCH better now!!
So, it's back to the grid iron for me!!
I've got two more raffle winners to finish up, a thigh-high, and a comic book cover, so I don't have any time for sitting around like a dweeb
I also want to do some art for my office...as well as make some furniture for it :/ that'll be a big project for me...it's been a few years lol
